Fraud
I was lied to by the person who I paid part of rent for and they didn’t want to terminate his membership so they took my money instead which I think is absolutely disgusting I stuck my neck out for this person and I want my money back because he tricked me into paying for his rent when he didn’t need me to do it and now I’m struggling to buy myself food because they only care about taking my money instead of getting the money from the person who lived there absolutely horrible experience and very angry
Recommendation: If you get scammed don’t even bother with this company they won’t do anything just take your money
Mice infested Padsplit
Padsplit is not affrodable housing. It is better to do an Air bnb or get a roommate with an apartment and split rent. Here is my issue with padsplit. There background check only check the last 7 years. I had a male roommate who did 20 years in prison and was able to rent. Another 2 roommates has extreme mental problems and found a place through there psyc doc. AND lastly. I live in a mice infested home in Texas on Hillsboro st. I ask for pest control over a month ago. No response from host. So im looking for an Air bnb. I went to vent to a neighbor and neighbor said they are an illegal operating business. Padsplit list the home as a 3 bedroom to avoid paying the higher tax. It is an 8 bedroom home. So fraud has been committed. Im prettt sure this business want be around for 10 years. Attached is the pictures of the mice and rodent repellsnt I had to buy for the home out of my own pocket
Horrible and terrifying experience
The initial padsplit that I moved into was an absolute dump. I contacted the host multiple time for a move out to no avail. When the maintenance guy came at this point I had been there for a day or two and showered at a gym because of the state of the bathroom in the home. The host gave 0 crap about the living conditions. I was removed from the home immediately by the maintenance man then I moved into another padsplit and turns out the same useless host was the host of this new padsplit. The host keeps adding fees to my account to pay although the night I tried to pay their websit was down and not taking my card. I contacted the host but he blocked access to chat with him on the padsplit app. I am absolutely going to say this padsplit business is dangerous because you don’t know who you are living with. No background checks are truly done. So far this is the second padsplit I’ve been at and I feel as unsafe as I felt in the first pad split. They should stop allowing psychopaths to be host and clean up the homes that people will be moving into as well as advertise the real state of a home instead of posting images online that are not reflective of the current state of a home. I added some pictures for you all to see! The host’s name is BRYCE. Avoid him or any homes he hosts at all cost.
Horrible company. Seek employment elsewhere
I recently had the misfortune of going through the hiring and interviewing process at PadSplit, and to say it was a complete disaster would be an understatement. From start to finish, this experience left me feeling frustrated, disheartened, and utterly unvalued as a candidate. Allow me to outline the numerous flaws that plagued this woeful journey. First and foremost, the issue of ghosting and lack of communication by PadSplit's employers cannot be ignored. After investing an incredible amount of time and effort, 4 rounds of interviews, EVEN RECEIVING A VERBAL JOB OFFER. I eagerly awaited any sort of response. Days turned into weeks but I heard nothing. It's incredibly disheartening and unprofessional to have potential employers simply disappear into thin air, leaving candidates hanging without any update or closure. The sheer lack of courtesy displayed by PadSplit's hiring team is simply inexcusable. The interview process was disorganized and haphazard at best. The second interview was with a guy in his early 20s who couldn’t answer any of my questions about the company and overall was extremely unprofessional. It was abundantly clear that little thought had gone into tailoring the interview to the specific role or understanding the candidates' qualifications. Furthermore, the communication during and after the interview was abysmal. Promised feedback and updates were nowhere to be found. Despite following up multiple times, I was met with silence. It's incredibly demoralizing to invest time and effort into an interview only to be completely disregarded in the end, especially when you’re told you’re a great fit for the company and you’ve got the job. To add insult to injury, I couldn't help but notice the lack of professionalism throughout the entire process. Communication throughout the entire process was awful, making it difficult to take the company seriously. It was evident that attention to detail and basic communication skills were sorely lacking at PadSplit. In conclusion, my experience with PadSplit's hiring and interviewing process was a train wreck from start to finish. The employers' ghosting and lack of communication demonstrated a complete disregard for candidates and their time. The disorganized interviews and lack of feedback further highlighted the company's incompetence in conducting a professional hiring process. I strongly advise any job seekers to approach PadSplit with extreme caution, as this experience left me with a bitter taste and a strong desire to steer clear of their unprofessional practices.
They don't care about your safety
DANG RIGHT. I would not recommend, I tried this service after being so limited w/ funds and waiting to move in my apartment, let's just say I was in the highest crime rate side of town and the house was so run down the listing was completely different. I thought something was not right. I called the company they have a third party support line who can't give you any advice but says they're going to push out a ticket, but if its a chance for them to save their money and not your safety they will collect all their coins. I say this because I asked for a full refund and the rep coached me to go in the house which was my first mistake. If you refund un the 1-48 hrs you can get your full refund when I did what the agent ask this company decided to review if I get a full refund or not.
Now, this comes after not receive a pin to the keypad to the main (side) door from the host and then not having the host contact which on the site gave a number and when I reach out I received an error message. The support team had to get the keypad info. After that (OH THIS IS A STORY FOR THE BOOKS) I went in the house on the list it say that look is number... NO number on any door to find a room, this place was SOOOO scary I refused to step any further, I had to make the agent stay on the line to which he was not concern about my fears lol I kid you not. I ask for a full refund me left.
Recommendation: NO!
I can only imagine someone going through all this and this being their last bet of money until further notice. ( Which this was me) Please report this business to the better business bureau this will help in receiving your money back or enough needed for a class action lawsuit. Please help other out experience these issues.
Oh I didn't get that refund I ask about either
Kept my money
Padsplit is a rip off. The images of the properties are false. So on move in day you get the address, and find out the place is a trap house. I went on moving day and the property was horrible, grass not cut, dirt everywhere when I walked in. My room was in the basement no carpet just cement floors like humans are dogs. Tenant was smoking in the kitchen so I didn't even put my bags down, I walked right back out. I contacted Padsplit and supplied a note from my doctor indicating my sinus issues and I didn't know the place allowed smoking on the inside. I never moved in and Padsplit said no refund so the kept $240 of my money and gave me back 20 bucks. Imagine doing this to millions Americans this is how they stay in business by ripping people off and false advertising. This is a crime and the company needs to be shutdown immediately.
Recommendation: Run fast don't look back.
THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE.

The ONLY good thing about padsplit is that it is cheaper than living in a apartment
The ONLY good thing about padsplit is that it is cheaper than living in a apartment. i was in a house with 7 other people with a small refrigerator/freezer, no where to park besides on neighbors property, the house was *** infested i had one crawl on me while i was sleep when i constantly made request for the house to be exterminated (there were many other bugs) it was never fulfilled, there was a hornets nest above the front door, a hole in the shower floor, a messy platform which makes your pit against your other padmates, theyll even email to you when a padmate is late on their payments which is messy no one needs to know someone elses financial situation, Whoever owned the home was just looking for a way to stuff their pockets a ranch style home is not fit for 8 individuals and it definitely wasnt built for it, there were no closets in the house and no actual locks on the doors, they will let the grass grow 2 feet tall, small kitchen space, small restrooms, horrible customer service, i came to a *** home on hard times but i wouldve rather been in a hotel! it was always nasty and stinky. I do not recommend, this is definitely a section 8 house. if you can deal with all of these i commend you! i couldnt even think of everything but that should be enough, save yourself the trouble

This Is just what the doctor ordered they say God is an on time God and he truly is I am so blessed to be here nevertheless nothings perfect it's all about maturity for me!
Good experience haven't had any problems! If you mind your own business and use this property as a means to improve *** it's a win win situation.
Where do I start. ***. Room mates with guns. They walk around outside like they are toys. Second smoking cigarettes and weed in the house. 3rd live in guest that drives a silver light blueish car girlfriend disputes in the front yard yelling ***. Another roommate shot at someone outside and the police raided the house with ***. That was scary. Stealing food, putting drugs in your food, smoking weed in the front like gang members. The city has tried to shut this house down and will continue. The issue is that padsplit does not monitor their properties. One day they will get sued for negligence when some dies from getting shot. The neighbors complain to the city for these very reason. A short guy in a silver car that lives there smokes weed in the don't all day. The neighbors across the street are so fed up. You can report this as a member all day long nothing will happen. The guy I'm the silver car girl must live with him because she has the code to the house. They don't do background checks because a few members verified that they are felons. All the promises from padsplit haven't been true. If you don't do face verification when you apply how can you truly verify who lives there? The courts need a key witness for the neighborhood to win against padsplit and at this point I am willing to testify.
Totally diss appointed 1. Tenants have been without water for 2 weeks 2. The doors to your room do not lock and are fully accessible by others 3. Front door lock was broken 4. There were no vents on the Filters to keep out Fumes from HVAC 5. PadSplit customer service supervisor *** is the worst and should be fired 6. I never moved in. I went to see the place which you can only see and know the address the day of move in and they refuse to refund my money, I never brought anything to the house. Tenants beware there are plenty of other choices you will not be pleased with PadSplit. Its the Negative reviews that tell the true story.

I cant speak in any other house but the one Im in is TERRIBLE. I share a bathroom with a male roommate who doesnt clean up behind his self. He leaves his hairs in the sink and tub and no matter how many notes I leave to ask him to clean up, he just ignores them. Me and another roommate has went to the host about him and all they do is send out a group message telling everyone to clean up behind theirselves. On another note I have an issue with another roommate who stomps up and down the stairs when she is drunk and slams doors as if she is the only one in the house. Working a night shift and having to come home and she talks loudly throughout the house without caring who just go off work or going into work. She is very rude. I advise the most of these PadSplit houses are filled with nasty people who probably get a disability or mental check cause some dont even go to work. But they leave trash in the kitchen, the house has gnats and roaches cause some folks dont clean up or take their trash to the trash can. They rather it pile up in the kitchen. If you are a clean person and like peace and respect for others I advise you get a roommate with someone you know verses 8-9 other people you dont know. This was seriously the worst decision I ever made in my life.
I highly recommend this new way of living, moving into one of the 'Padsplit' shared houses. Especially nowadays when renting a basic one-bedroom apartment getting very costly and out of reach for most of . and it's happening almost everywhere. I moved to *** from south *** a month ago,And I just love it here. I am now in a house that looks just like new after an extensive renovation. I have nice roommates great neighborhood. Most of our general shopping such as supermarkets restaurants a gym etc. are within walking distance of us. very convenient for those who don't drive. I loved *** downtown right away, It looks like a little Manhattan to me. Since I used to live in Manhattan in the past and still miss it. So far I am happy I made this move.I recommend it to everyone whos looking for an affordable living and to be able to save money.
Definitely affordable , clean & relaxing...Padsplit.com is reality easy to connect 2 & does a great job helping me get settled with the room that I choose...when I come across someone who has difficulties with finding a place to live or can't afford it, I always mention Padsplit.com which is my number one choice if given the opportunity to share with someone.. I am glad to have had this experience
Dont do it!Animals live inside bedrooms. People bringing guest over. Padmember have shared rooms with whomever. The homes are photoshopped. I have cleaned every room for the last 4 stays within 3 months. Tampering w food, your bedroom door. Smoking though out the homes the scent in the dryer also. Unclean not professional home cleaning before move in. The owners try to have you to change your time when youll be penalized for a fee for their convenience. Most owners arent within the same city. Theres a such thing just robbing people for their money and end up being homeless any how
This only gets 1 star, but I could've selected none
This only gets 1 star, but I could've selected none. My first issue is moving in a home 01 with black mold, lizard infestation, and roach infestation. Then the home that was originally 5 bedrooms, were made into 8. No space. Very cramped. Fine. It's a rooming board, I dealt with it. For a house that only had 3 on-site parking spaces available- Padsplit said there were 8 parking spots available. Here comes the fun. We were told the city made a complaint about us parking on the street. Padsplit says we can't park on the grass. We're do we park? No where. Padsplit gives you less then 2 weeks to find somewhere else to live. So me being me, and liking everything in order, I book a room 2 weeks in advance, called 2 WEEKS in advance- to make sure parking was available. Member support services agent Amy told me, the host told her, parking was available, and I would be able to park there, I had nothing to worry about. Come today- 09/2022 move in day...and I have everything to worry about. Why? You guessed it . Nooooo parking available, after I was told it was. No one has any alternatives for me, and they don't know what to say. Well that's just comforting, and great. Thanks Padsplit for taking almost $500 from me for a transfer which was forcing me to find somewhere to go, just to possibly need to find somewhere else to go, AGAIN today. Don't believe a word that comes out of their mouth.

Very convenient, clean, comfortable and secure. Excellent ***.Neighborhood Very nice ,convenient and nice surroundings. Structure has been updated with all the conveniences of a home I would purchase.
It is a pleasure living here! It's clean, quiet, and comfortable and my Pad mates are all Kool. If I have an issue, it's handled with no problem.I would recommend it to anyone I know and anyone I meet looking for a place to come home to.?
DO NOT JOIN PADSPLIT UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY DESPERATE FOR A LIVING SITUATION
DO NOT JOIN PADSPLIT UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY DESPERATE FOR A LIVING SITUATION. They tread the line of legal and illegal. YOU WILL HAVE NO TENANT RIGHTS WHAT SO EVER! And they are quick to remind you of that with their level support. They do not clean the rooms to covid standards. They dont let you see the location until its time to move in. The room was dirty there were over 30 holes in the walls from previous tenants. They have no verification process on if a host cleans the room. Even while providing HD photo and videos of the room the director of CS *** called me and instead of going to see the room hisself. He gave me the corporate exit speech. So before i could even move in was on the streets for 6 night and on day 7 is when they called and said that since i wasnt satisfied with the cleaning i my padsplit agreement as been terminated. I have every phone conversation recorded and am willing to provided detail descriptions of their negligence. None of the host agreements were met and am seeking legal action as week speak. If you do decide to use them document every single conversations PLEASE. We cant keep letting companies treat us like dirt. I am disgusted with how i was treat i am willing to put in the work to correct any situation. Padsplit is an awful, deceptive, and irresponsible company. There responses are generated to proclaim they are not in the wrong, etc. Please people, file a small claims complaint in Fulton County, GA courthouse which can be done online.

Unfortunately, I am not able to waive the fee for this charge as it was added to your account at the request of the host. If you would like to communicate with them regarding the fee, please open a maintenance ticket through your member dashboard. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Kind Regards, Ariel Support Jul 29, 2022, 1:27 PM EDT Call summary: Member verified via UID. Member is requesting to have the $83.33 fee for "Toilet/Drain Damage" as the issues with the plumbing were already occurring before they moved in and they took no part in the cause of it. They did not move into the home officially until 07/13, and the plumber was out on 07/14, the day after she moved in. She is sending in a copy of her receipt from AirBnB showing she did not move out of it until when she moved in to the home, if it is able to help. She understands the need for those kinds of fees and would agree to it if there was any way she was partially responsible, but she had just moved in and had absolutely nothing to do with this. This is also a pressing issue, she is needing to get this taken care of before Sunday when her weekly dues are set to be paid. Is this being escalated to a ticket? Yes, this issue is being escalated to a Customer Experience ticket.

I have been with Padsplit for over a Year!
I have been with Padsplit for over a Year! The problem I have with being stuffed in a 3 bedroom that was converted into a 6 bedroom is that all tenants won't follow the rules! When I contact Padsplit they don't want to be bothered so they copy and paste the same messages to try and resolve the issues among ourselves! We are Strangers and everyone is not raised the same some of these People smoke weed, Has company overnight during a Pandemic, Wash clothes from 1am till 4am , have kids in the Home(not a Good Environment). I work at night and it is Impossible living in a place where there's No one to keep others in compliance. Padsplit say we aren't tenants but we have tenants Rights therefore they should be responsible for the People they rent rooms to that are constantly breaking rules! The only thing Padsplit does is Fine them! It's All About Money! I have paid so many fees for moving trying to find a better place! These homes are in the Ghetto and you shouldn't expect anything better! I know several people moved others in homes with Felonies under their Identification, because Padsplit never come to the homes to see who have moved in! It could be a Rapist because I have found my door handle unscrewed several times!
I'm in a home with a child that runs up and down the stairs, pees all over the floor and makes a mess in the Kitchen because he's Unsupervised! None of us were told that a Child would be at this Residence! I'm done with Padsplit and I am going to make sure to Warn others of my Personal experience!
Ive lived in multiple residences they are liars and scammers and will take your money with no help or way of returning it
Ive lived in multiple residences they are liars and scammers and will take your money with no help or way of returning it. They will try to justify theirselves through there response to all the comments but they dont respond to you when you contact directly their help is inefficient and their properties are unacceptable most tenants are not trustworthy Ive seen fellow roommates property get stolen, damage from water damage they never addressed Ive gotten in altercations with roommates who werent even suppose to be there and had been evicted but never enforced to leave. Food was stolen. Noise all night. 5 and higher dysfunctional families living in ONE room they never address and check on. Tenants children would tear up the house everyday and when you address it their parents are ready to fight. Dirty bathrooms dont even want to use. The bug probably is an understatement the fridges and kitchen are NASTY and despicable and they do not handle anything in a professional manner. I have other associates and friends Ive lived with who are now in debt to PadSplit after numerous code violations were explained l. They make it hard to move rooms or houses and have you pay again with a deposit after all of this. They will make it look and sound good. Unless you want to be put in a circumstance that will distract, deter, deplete, and lower you down to section 8 standards(worse) DO NOT BELIEVE OR LISTEN TO ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE CERTIFIED SCAMMERS AND WILL TRY TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE TOOKEN CATE OF THIS: they wont

Padsplit is a Liar, Deceptive, and Not a reputable company. Run away from padsplit at all costs. You will be better off!
PADSPLIT DOESN'T CARE!
PADSPLIT DOESN'T CARE!I've been on the PadSPlit platform for about 2 years now. Here is my experience.None of your roommates clean up after themselves . Padsplit rarely comes by the house to check the rooms they only check the hallways. You are not supposed to have visitors or guest at the home however your roommates always have visitors or sometimes their bf's or gf's and you can hear people having ***. The refrigerators are ALWAYS dirty because people are shoving food in it (which never gets cleaned despite you informing people) Bathrooms are ALWAYS dirty. I had to stop taking showers where I stay at because nobody cleaned up after themselves. I would seriously rather sleep in my car than stay in another padsplit (which I've stayed in two of them) its been the same everywhere I go. Oh yeah every time you call customer service regarding getting help kicking people out that don't belong in the home. They say things like "What is this person's name?" "Can you send us photos" Which I've done all that and guess what? NOTHING gets done. Constantly having bugs in the home constantly reporting issues that never gets solved. Padsplit tried to have a good thing going but there lack of attention to serious matters can seriously cause harm to other people. THIS IS A TERRIBLE company. That doesn't care about the safety of others. STAY AWAY from this platform. I've reported several times that there are bugs in the home guess what ? YOU GUESSED IT NOTHING GETS DONE ABOUT IT. So the h*** with padsplt. If you can just sleep in your car if you need a place as a last resort.

I work a full time job shopping with a part time side gig trying to make ends meet
I work a full time job shopping with a part time side gig trying to make ends meet. And i barely stay afloat, so for living arrangements i found padsplit. The person whom founded this company is a bonefide ***. The first house i paid to live in was absolutely disgusting, lacked amenities and was nothing there pictures advertised. I requested a transfer, and found another room. I just left from that house, the trim was left filthy, trash all over, the room didn't have working ac, it had a private bathroom... I'm a man and i wouldn't use that toilet. The bathtub was clogged and had standing water in it. The house was yet another slum house in a seedy neighborhood, with questionable people lurking around. The reality of pad split is this homeowners that are doing business with pad split are making hand over fist money at the expense of the "working class" who unfortunately are running out of options financially. They doctor up pictures for the listings. These houses that I've physically went into are dumps. Company policy's are not being upheld with hosts. I want every *** I've spent back, i haven't spent a single night at either of the houses. I work hard for every cent that I get to keep at the end of the week and I'll be damned if this company is going to take my money not provide me with any services and then tell me they can't refund my money and I'm prepared to go above the customer support level to the next tier and then I'm going to go to Fox 5 news about this because this company is taking advantage of Americans who are doing the best that they can with what they have.

It would be good if pad split actually did their part to keep the residents safe
It would be good if pad split actually did their part to keep the residents safe. When reporting issues with other pad mates in the house Support does absolutely nothing except for suggest that you call 911 if you feel threatened or you can always transfer to another house. Im on my second house the first one I had someone expose themselves sexually. I told them about this they just move the same person to another house. I moved to another house had two women here threatening because I asked somebody to move their car as they were blocking me. I called support they suggested that I take pictures of the cars (placing myself at further risk) that were out there and submit them to support which I did and they have done nothing except for suggested I transfer. I later found out that one of the ladies assaulted two of the other pad mates before me. She is still here Support knows this and has done nothing! They may do background checks but they do nothing to keep you safe from people who are obviously violent, some mentally ill and some an active addiction. Not sure where they got these other reviews but everybody in this house has something to complain about! Not interested in doing any business with this company again. Really looking forward to the company that puts them out of business. My fear is someone will lose their life before someone actually starts to look into their horrible system. Yeah they claim theyre helping people during this housing crisis but theyre actually taking advantage of peoples situation because they dont care about anything except for getting their weekly pay! Been here for two months, nothing but unsolvable problems !

I rented a room and I was being bullied by one of the roommates
I rented a room and I was being bullied by one of the roommates. I reported it several times but Padsplit did nothing about it except for once but it wasnt really much to begin with. So the final incident they sent me this rude text telling me they cant get involved and Padsplit roommate issues and then I have the right to transfer so I paid money plus $100 credit to move and when I got to the next place it was so disgusting immediately I emailed the pictures I put in a maintenance ticket And I called Padsplit. At first I just want my money back because I was so tired of being in a situation like this because of them but then one of their agent said I could transfer and being in the car so longer I decided fine let me see if that will work. So immediately I find another place and I sent over the information mind you my car was filled with all my stuff because I was supposed to be moving that morning and my food was also in the car so it was literally going bad by the minute. I waited all day for them to do something I took a nap in the car I went to sleep they literally did nothing. I was crying I was calling them explaining to them that this was not my fault. They just kept telling me theyre working on it and I knew 5 oclock was gonna come around which was about an hour from that time and they were going to tell me the office is closed I have to wait till tomorrow. No they dont care about us at all. I am sad and that customer service has fallen to this level in America. And to make matters worse when it comes to the refund they told me that the refund fee is nonrefundable which makes no sense the refund fee is supposed to be for the owner to get the house ready in the house was not ready. This company should be shut down division was beautiful that the owner started. But it has gone downhill since then

I have been staying in a Padsplit in east *** for a couple months and in general, it's not bad, but not great
I have been staying in a Padsplit in east *** for a couple months and in general, it's not bad, but not great. The actual house is nice and clean, my property manager is very responsive when it comes to maintenance requests and I feel the property manager does a solid job. The reason I am giving Padsplit two stars is because of their ratings system (call out, shout out, etc). I am currently rooming with an older man in his 50s or 60s named *** and he is very disrespectful and rude. I have been polite and introduced myself on a few occasions, but he never responds back. Finally I stopped speaking to him, but he started playing loud music at night during the week and I calmly knocked on his door to see if he would please turn the music down, I have to work early in the morning. He responded by banging on the door and yelling saying his TV and subwoofer weren't loud. So I called Padsplit support to complain and they tell me to give him a call out. Now in retaliation this guy has called me out saying I don't keep common areas clean and I bring guests over the all time blah blah. None of that is true - I stay clean, keep to myself and work everyday. I'm rarely at the house for more than 4 hours at time, other than when I'm sleeping. So this guy is just lying on the Padsplit dashboard because he's mad that I called him out in person about his loud music. The same guy also urinates all over the toilet seat and leaves the bathroom nasty, he plays loud depressing music, he comes off as a mopey loser. The problem with Padsplit is that people can just be angry and lie on the Padsplit support about roommate activity and then it adversely affects your account status, they remove keys from your account so you can't rent there anymore. Also, the neighborhood I'm in is sketchy and you hear helicopters every night, police are constantly out. Padsplit is charging too much for these rooms considering they don't offer much value. TWO STARS

It's the people that make or break it, including the landlords
It's the people that make or break it, including the landlords. I've stayed in 3 different padsplits in different areas and they were all bad for different reasons. All the houses ere old which is fine. The first I had all male roommates who had people in and out for most of the day. The bathroom could be a gross mess, with water all over the ink and floor, pee on the toilet, and a disgusting shower, until one of the neater roommates cleaned up. I moved into one closer to work and it was a cesspit. my room was in the basement directly under the kitchen. It wa damp and smelled of mildew. I found mold in several places but had to stay a week because I didn't contact support in time to switch. By the end of the week I had breathing problems and couldn't sleep ell. The bathroom smelled strongly of stale urine and had hair and hair products like grease and gel randomly on surfaces. Th kitchen ad dining area were cluttered with catering equipment and every morning i could hear the owner upstairs or anyone in the kitchen walking around over my head. Incense isn't allowed but I'd daily smell someone burning it which made my breathing problems worse. The place I'm in now is a balance of the previous two. Its an old house that's falling apart. there were mice for a while until I andthe rest ofthe house submitted tickets. The towel I put under the door gap got chewed and some of my torage boxes got eaten. There are still roaches and any otherkind of pest you can imagine. People in this house chain smoke and smoke other drugs. There are usually a few roomates who let people stay with them so there is no telling who will come by. The landlord replaced the lock after we all had trouble getting in and had to either let each other in or leave the door unlocked, for a week. When they finally got it done I still had to call support to get my new code. Overall, it's a cash gab for home owners since we're paying so much to live in crppy accomodations.

I signed up to rent a beautiful room which I thought because of the pictures online the ad says you cannot physically see the room until youve paid your money for one move-in day you will receive the code in the address to where you will be living which I thought was kind of Strange but again I relied on the beautiful pictures that I did see for the room on move-in day I got all the information in my email I went to go and check into the room I was told there would be a key code for the door of the house and from my room there was only a key code for the door I walked in I want to look in my room there was no key code you just open the door and walked in I walked in and I was horrified I thought I saw there was a hole in the ceiling where the heat great would go but it wasnt the bed with a giant box spring just the spring mailbox no mattress it was filthy and dirty with some type of ripped up covering over at the walls were dirty to *** dirty whos a very small room it was absolutely disgusting and at this point theyve had my money of $235 I was horrified with no other place to go I call my daughter and told her and video chat it with her to so she could see the heart I was looking at I tried to reach out to house ignore my texts I said this number would expire in a couple of days Do you know the company and tried to tell them and tell them that I want a refund that I did not move in I did not take one item out of my vehicle I took pictures they told me to send pictures send them to the whole email them I sent so many emails I was tired of sending emails and did not get a response back I spoke with the live person and they told me they apologize but I have to stay in the unit for 30 days or to move to another split pad that says absolutely not I will never move in another profit unseen and I want my money back And I was promised a lot of things but blatantly ignored to this day I dont have my money back and I am now staying with my daughter

Padsplit reports payment of rent to the rent reporting partner Esusurent for information to be reported to credit bureaus as a way to help you
Padsplit reports payment of rent to the rent reporting partner Esusurent for information to be reported to credit bureaus as a way to help you build credit. I'm a disabled senior citizen who has been renting since August and when my RENT PAYMENTS where reported by Esusurent it was reported as a CLOSED LOAN and this dropped my score significantly on my Equifax report and I contacted both companies because Padsplit just passed the blame to Esusurent. Both companies have tried to dismiss me as it's something I did to cause my score to drop. I've provided proof it was nothing on my part and yet this ERROR that is affecting my credit hasn't been corrected. Esusurent is also supposed to be reporting to TransUnion credit bureau and they are not. I just went through 4 years of h*** being ill, homeless and becoming disabled. I'm trying to rebuild my credit so I may obtain my OWN place in the future and not have to rent a ROOM in a house and they are making that difficult for me to do because of this incorrect information they have reported. I have NEVER had a LOAN with them so reporting it as a closed loan is false information.

I rented a room from Padsplit. Within the first ten minutes of moving in, I called the customer service line to report a discrepancy. The property was advertised for up to 5 occupants, but there were 9 rooms. In addition to the false advertisement, I reported that I was locked out of my room. The lock situation was resolved, but not the false advertisement which is my major concern. I am never allowed to speak to management, the refund policy is a trap, and in the middle of telling the customer service rep about my troubles with their service, the representative hung *** in my face! Very unprofessional! These inconveniences have grown into safety issues, with me being locked out my home with a dead phone, and potentially stranded on the street with no resources. Padsplit must be run by thieves/scammers who seek to take advantage of home-vulnerable people. Based on my experience, I would NEVER recommend this business. Theyre lying, cheating, rude, predatory thieves.
I rented a room from Padsplit based on the location of the room. The initial posting stated it was located in downtown ***, ., but the room was located on the Eastside, which is a really bad neighborhood and I didn't feel safe there. Then I transfered to a second room (only because I was told by a PadSplit Representative Ozge, that I would not receive a refund), but this room was also located in a high crime area.Based on PadSplit's company guidelines, this is one of the reasons to receive a refund, but I was told I'm not getting one, although I'm entitled to one.-The home's listing details on the platform are incorrect
I spent $3,000 to pay in advance on my rent through a third party company . Padsplit has refused to answer any of my tickets and let me speak to a supervisor in which they told me didnt exist . I have been hung up on and told nothing beneficial for my disruption
I have been a client of padsplit since September 19
I have been a client of padsplit since September 19. The first house I stayed at for 6 months. There was black mold coming through the walls inside the shower and on the ground. I reported numerous maintenance requests and all they did was paint over the issue. On top of that, my room had 1 lock on it, which was from the inside and I had money and Jewelry stolen from me. Then was threatened by another roommate and her boyfriend whom was not even supposed to be there. After reporting this I was told I cannot get my own lock for the outside of the door by Padsplit. Padsplit also told me I could transfer homes. So after paying rent, I had to pay an additional $300 to transfer and move my own things to the home. I paid for a private room with a bathroom and once arrived at the new home I was told I did not qualify. Padsplit stated in was approved for $207 and a private room with a private bathroom was $208. Now I am being sent numerous emails to make payments when I do not even have working internet. I did everything that Padsplit has asked of me and I have been taken advantage of, lied to and disregarded. I work from home and they are aware of this but do not care

I've been with padsplit for roughly 3 months and when I did the application and when I've spoken with multiple people on the support line I've told them I only get paid only 5th of each month and on the 20th, and that I will not be able to pay before then, I am now being kicked out even though I have sent multiple email saying I will pay on the 5th and asking for an extension because I do not get paid before

July 28, 2022 complaintsboard.com I reside in a co-housing rental unit. Although I have lived here two years,my housing rental office has recently failed to send a receipt for my payment.During the last six months, I had to Ask for a receipt after I had already paid. However, instead of acquiring a receipt, lately, I was sent a copy of the Padsplit book-keeping ledger. Adding to the wrong, my last payment which was paid online as usual, Padsplit has Not sent me Any kind of receipt for my payment. To resolve this problem, I am simply requesting my receipt for my payment of $280.00 which was paid on Sunday, July 24th.To clarify, I have sent two emails and one direct phone call to Padsplit on this concern. However, to date, there has been no receipt for my payment.Thank you for your valuable assist in this problem.Sincerely,KW
I was advised I would be charged on a weekly basis by an agent, and the agent did not switch the payment schedule
I was advised I would be charged on a weekly basis by an agent, and the agent did not switch the payment schedule. I am now $300 in debt to Padsplit. I was staying in 1 of Padsplits homes, and wanted to transfer rooms to a different home. To initiate the transfer of rooms, I reached out to Padsplit on 2/19 and was advised the earliest move in date was 2/21. I paid roughly 302.86 for 1 week (until 2/28), and advised the agent that I would need to make (a) weekly payments to catch back up to my paycheck as I get paid bi weekly. The agent advised I would be making weekly payments, however when 2/28 came and I made my weekly payment ($265), I was told I needed to pay $530 as that was the bi-weekly pay schedule I was on. As I had told the agent on 2/19 and multiple agents afterwards, I cannot pay $530 as that was not my pay week. I have told at least 5 agents and 1 supervisor this and everyone has told me they cannot change the pay schedule and cannot help me further. Because the agent did not update the payments to weekly payments, I am not in debt to Padsplit by $300, when I have expressed my payment situation to over 6+ representatives and have gotten no where with no assistance.
Despite utilizing the financial assistance offered through padsplit and was denied they offered no leniency to my issue when I made them aware of my financial hardships but instead I was met with well that's policy it's nothing we can do not a shred of empathy and sympathy. With that said I'm unable to meet the terms I was emailed this morning because of my financial hardships and lack of assistance. I literally moved here after leaving a toxic situation of verbal abuse. Now I'm in the position of not being able to move.

I had a rental agreement with PadSplit from mid-January to late February
I had rented a room from the PadSplit company from mid-January to the end of February. I was unexpectedly arrested during a traffic stop on February 25th. There were two payments of $154 scheduled for February 27th and March 6th, 2022. A family member checked my bank account and noticed these payments were automatically withdrawn. On March 24th, my grandmother reached out to PadSplit via email and phone to inform them I had vacated the property in February. They claimed I had a negative rent balance for the weeks after March 6th, adding $25 late fees for March 13th and 20th, totaling $358 owed. Despite providing proof of my arrest and attempting to resolve the issue, they refused any compensation. I had always paid my rent on time and was a responsible tenant. My total expenses with PadSplit were $320 weekly plus a $308 deposit, the $358 rent balance, and another $320 for potential future rent, amounting to a total loss of $1,278 because I was unable to contact them at the time of my arrest. This is unjust, especially since I provided proof of my situation.

I requested to move out of padsplit Monday February 7 mind you I didnt know you couldnt request a same day move out. Also, in all actuality I moved out that Saturday, February 5 2022. On the website the next available day was that Tuesday and I choose that. I called Monday to make sure they received my two pictures as requested and 2 ask about the balance on my account. After several calls and emails I was basically told I would have to pay for the whole week of February *** regardless of me leaving on the 5th. With Padsplit I paid a weekly-it was in advance so; Monday started my new week. So I had to pay a late fee and for a whole week I wasnt there. I asked about getting credit or just paying for that Monday Feb 7 but I either got a no or no reply but the credit. It seems so unfair and like a money grab.
This is the second week its been Super HOT in this house with no air conditioning..We called padsplit and put in a maintenance request in 3 or 4 times no answer and I called and nothing getting done so we all living in a house with no Air Condition
I have lived in a PadSplit home for the past 2 1/2 months
I have lived in a PadSplit home for the past 2 1/2 months. I have been the subject of much haphazardness by PadSplit from onset. No code for room door, no key for access which later was resolved. Since then I have been encouraged to video and report violations in the home; drug selling/ distribution, unauthorized persons residing in home, unauthorized vehicles left on property, uncleanliness and deliberate damage to home inside and out, to which PadSplit has afterward penalized me for such. Some PadSplit Representatives have created a hostile environment for me by reporting to violators identifying me as reporter in addition have sided with the illegal activities in the home by violators and removed 3 key status from me for documenting activities. Padsplit representatives also send out, without authorization unpaid balances by members to entire home versus creating an additional hostile environment with claims of, we want to let you all know in case this person is terminated. I have made many requests for a supervisor contact over a period of three months just about and received no contact but for one gentleman who stated he was, sick in the hospital for two weeks and returned and had not been made aware of the request for supervisor, there is nothing listed in the log of complaints can you please resend such documentation.

I was renting a room from padsplit, everything seemed fine until the home I was living in flooded
I was renting a room from padsplit, everything seemed fine until the home I was living in flooded. I was advised by the owner of the home that conditions were no longer habitable and that we must promptly move out the home. Once moved out I contacted padsplit on 4/14/2022 and let them know what happened because it seemed like they had no contingency plan for us as we were just kicked to the street. After letting them know what happened I was thanked by their terrible support and continued to be billed for a home that I didnt even live in. Plus the fees are super fraudulent, you charged me a late fee for that first week after I was made to move out and have been compounding overcharges on it ever since. The only notification I get about that even happening is a report that just showed up on my credit. Huh!? Thats fishy and it shows up as a loan agreement. Yeah no I never agreed to borrow *** dollars from you. You wont be getting that. Ive already disputed the credit report you fraudulently put there, and Ive notified my lawyer because Im ready to take legal action. Because padsplit also LIED to me on official black and white email as I was never forcibly removed I moved under my own will. I couldnt stay there due to health hazard. My lawyer says i should take this one to the city. I know these are Shady Business Tactics Look!

I have been living in this Padsplit for 2 years, and maintenance help has gone all the way down
I have been living in this Padsplit for 2 years, and maintenance help has gone all the way down. Since November , I made over *** duplex B (upstairs and downstairs). Our refrigerator is leaking and broke, they refuse to come out and fix it; I had a maintenance guy lie and text me a technician came and said the refrigerator is full thats why its not closing. Absolute lies!; the refrigerator has such an awful smell from the leaking, which we have to clean literally everyday. This company takes your money and embarrasses tenants if theyre late on rent (greed); they do NOT care about their actual property and they get mad when us tenants care about the property we pay rent for and lay our heads at. Ive tried calling Padsplit multiple times to get in contact with a supervisor, but Ive been informed countless times they are not allowed to give out management number. How odd considering the people who work the phones are very incapable of handling or solving anything. We have a new host every other month which is annoying because we honestly have no idea who to communicate to. I want to warn anybody that wants to live here run! My roommates and I are living here to save up and invest, and Padsplit is making living here ten times harder than it must be. Currently in talks with a lawyer and the housing department.

On April 4 I was scheduled to move into a padsplit unit
On April 4 I was scheduled to move into a padsplit unit. Upon move in I was not given a walk through, once I walked the unit immediately I was dissatisfied with the leaky roof, trash everywhere, filthy kitchen and immediately went back to office and notified *** who was identified as my host. I never moved into the unit offered so she offered an alternative unit which I was also dissatisfied with due to mold and mildew in the bathrooms. She advised that this will be canceled and to notify padsplit in the app. I notified padsplit the same day as soon as I was able to purchase a charger and recharge my phone. I was then advised by *** that any refunds will be given in *** business days. Once that time passed I contacted padsplit back and was advised that a refund is not due back. I am requesting a refund due to padsplit not finding an alternative home for me or advising that I had further options. I am a new member and unaware of the full process of correcting my homeless situation. Padsplit did not allow me to tour the unit anytime prior to my date of move in which their cancellation policy refers to hours and days prior to the move in date. How can I cancel prior to the move in date if I am not allowed to tour the unit until 9am of my move in date? I am requesting a refund due to never moving into this unit and advising my host immediately of my move out. I even tried escalating this and my issue was given to the same rude rep *** and another rude sarcastic rep named ***. Please assist in resolving this matter.

Relocating to a new home on a leafy avenue, the residence was smoke-free
When I relocated to my new home on a leafy avenue, the residence was smoke-free. However, it has since become a smoking environment due to the habits of the occupants in rooms seven and eight. I reported this issue to the property management, who issued a notice. I've spoken directly to the residents, highlighting how their smoking compromises my health, triggering allergic reactions. My eyes tear up incessantly, and I suffer from itchiness due to the smoke. It was only after a medical consultation that I realized these symptoms were allergic reactions. They only manifest when I am at home, which points directly to the smoke as the cause. On one occasion, returning from the doctor's, my eyes immediately reacted upon entering the home, and the strong, acrid scent of marijuana was overwhelming. I reached out to law enforcement for assistance in addressing the indoor smoking, as the property management seemed to ignore my complaints. Nightly, the air is tainted with the residual odor of cigarettes, subjecting me to secondhand smoke and aggravating my allergies. The situation escalated when a hostile tenant from room seven threatened me with physical harm for involving the police. She continued to intimidate and verbally abuse me, even claiming ownership of the communal hallway by the laundry area, where she confronted me aggressively, invading my personal space.
There are so many complaints I have with this location
There are so many complaints I have with this location. 4 men who live here have made my life h*** Ive dealt with nonstop harassment from day one. Everytime I pay for my room my roommate goes into full indirect attacks with blasting his TV and playing music loud after hours, trying to force my hand to leave. 2 men downstairs *** and *** constantly have guests here and they are not supposed to. People smoke in the house but its not regular smoke it smells like burning rubber. They turned the electricity off for 3 days straight and gave me less than 1 weeks payment for the room and didnt give me a notice. During the week the electricity was turned off Though I had to work from home I had to find a place to work because there was no WiFi.( I was written up aswell). Whats even more funny is right after the electricity issue they have been nonstop activity at the house. The laundry room door is closed because thats where they have people come in at. There is someone who stays in Jonathans room when he leaves for work. The 4 other cars thats here were taken down and only mine is displayed as registered because if anyone gets in trouble my car is the only one here. I dont know these people in this house but they know each other and gang up on me and play manipulation and harassment games. Someones surround sound TV is extra loud at night when they have guests over. There is sexual activities that go on and is heard but we are not to have any guests but Im the only one who abides by this. I would like a full refund for all of these months. This company put my life in danger and the head tenant is the one recruiting his friends to live here and go against the rules.

Pad Split is a shared living situation
Pad Split is a shared living situation. I submitted everything that was required.. they asked for SS# paystubs, picture of myself vehicle etc. You are given the locations address the day of move in. I drove by and I could not believe the look of the property. The windows looked broken the house needed a face lift. I also compared the men outside to the pictures online and they didn't add up. I replied and told them that based on the men I saw and the look of the property, I would like a second opinion. I was sent another location minus the codes and property info. I call PadSplit and was asked how did I get the listing. I advised that it was them who sent it. After a while the agent advised that she was going to have someone call me because the location that I now agreed on, is not for rent. I called back after hours of waiting. It was now sundown and nothing. I called again and the agent agreed that I needed to request a refund. This agent advised that I would only have to wait a couple of days because she too saw the pictures of both properties in question. They deducted $391.00 and $45.77 for God knows what. I didn't move in, requested another choice. They sent it, but it wasn't for rent. No one contacted me. I had to call back after receiving an email saying I was going to get a refund! I have talked to agents who totally agree. I did not receive the correct information. After a week or so I called again. A very empathic agent told me that it's bets to follow the move out process, even tough all of this happened, and I never touched the property. She advised that if not, they will just continue to *** me. I also need to mention that I was charged an early "move out fee".

This company has stolen my money
This company has stolen my money. I made a reservation for June 13, 2022 until July 17, 2022. It should be noted that I paid a fee of 100 dollars that supposedly guarantees that they give you a clean room ready to live in it. When I checked in around 4:30 pm I found a very dirty room and a disgusting bathroom. I immediately took photos and sent them to the host at the number that the application provides, I also wrote to the padsplit email, also my wife called the number of padsplit *** customer service. By all these means I let them know that I was leaving the room and that I wanted my refund and immediate cancellation of the entire reservation. The host did not respond to my text message until the next day. In their cancellation policy they specify that members They qualify for a full refund if the problem is not resolved in a reasonable time. The host wrote me a message on the 15th, that is two days later to tell me that the room was ready. It should be noted that I checked out the same day ( June 13) 30 minutes after check in and I let them know that I was canceling the reservation. On the 14th I called the customer service number to confirm said decision and make sure they would send me my refund. They sent messages apologizing, trying to *** to another room but I let them know no, I just want my money. I spent a few days waiting for the refund but this did not happen. Trying to see if there was any message for me In the application I realized that my reservation was still open and that I would have to pay on June 19. Seeing this, my wife called customer service one more time and they told her that I did not qualify for the refund because the situation was It had been resolved. Conclusion: The situation was not resolved and they stole my money. ($335) Also, to avoid being charged the following week, I made the cancellation through the application and now ironically I owe 35 dollars for the cancellation. I hope they help me .

I am trying to WARN anyone trying to get into a padsplit
I am trying to WARN anyone trying to get into a padsplit. I fell behind on 2 weeks worth of rent prompting me to move out November and I have been getting HARASSED to this day stating I still live on the property. Padsplit has escalated this to a 3rd party for evictions trying to get me evicted from a house I HAVE NOT STAYED AT IN MONTHS! The only reason I found out is because an Old roommate contacted me and let me know there was a pink slip on the door I used to stay at with my name. with that being said padsplit has been absolutely unhelpful from the start, as well as dishonest. In the screenshots my move out is concluded so why is it months later you guys are trying to charge me for the months after November and now trying to evict me. To make it worst when I emailed padsplit I got no response at all. I finally call and padsplit tell me they cant help me because it was escalated to evictforme. When I called evictforme they are absolutely rude and provide no help either, they also dont speak english fluently. Padsplit company seems to be a scam in that when you move out they claim you didnt and they try to extort you for more money, but put you through a 3rd party so they dont have to deal with it. Then they text me saying we can do this easy way or the hard way how unprofessional! It is so frustrating because Padsplit is trying to put this eviction on my record for a place I HAVENT STAYED AT SINCE LAST YR so I now need a lawyer to figure this out because padsplit has been useless, and the eviction company they are using seem to not even know what theyre even talking about. From move in day padsplit has been nothing but trouble- giving me an incorrect room passcode so I had to get a hotel, to the non working bathrooms, the bug infested homes, etc with no fixes/ acknowledgment unless I came to the Complaintsboard.com to complain. So it was definitely news to me that I was being evicted from a house I had already moved out of months prior. DO NOT APPLY! RUN

On April 23,2022, I was set to move into a rented room, but it was uninhabitable.
On April 23,2022 I was scheduled to move into the room I had rented. Upon my arrival I discovered that my room was not livable, despite the fact that a two-day wait period is for the host to prepare your space. There was ceiling damage from water, and it leaked onto the mattress, ruining it. Parts of the ceiling were covering the bed. The stairs to my room were filthy, as were the laundry area and hallway. Padsplit's policy is to contact them for a room transfer if there's an issue, but they don't disclose the extra charges incurred even if the room's condition is not your fault. I'm being charged for two days in an uninhabitable room and an additional fee to transfer. I informed the host of the room's condition with pictures but received no response. Padsplit has not assisted in resolving this, instead attempting to Gaslight me. They reminded me to clean the room I was moving out of, which I never occupied due to its state. I had to rent a hotel room, having paid for a full week at the property. Padsplit has no immediate action plan for tenants' problems except to require more payments. They log calls with representatives but have not resolved my issue, showing no interest because they've been paid for the week. Meanwhile, I lack livable accommodations for the week. Padsplit enforces many rules for tenants without full disclosure. All actions seem to lead to charges, yet they offer no reimbursements.

Padsplit introduced a new tenant to live in my house since July
Padsplit introduced a new tenant to live in my house since July . This tenant has violated Padsplit policy more than 3 times, but Padsplit refused to enforce its policy to process the third key removal. Padsplit stated it doesn't make any difference to issue the third key removal. Padsplit refused to reimburse the damages the tenant made to my room. Two professional paint companies accessed the room and stated the holes on the walls and doors are not normal wear or tear. I have sent the invoices to Padsplit for the repair cost of $1,666 in total. After several communications, Padsplit still denies the damages and not willing to pay for any damages. Additionally, Padsplit has failed to reinforce its own policy. The tenant has violated the following policy more than 3 times: 1. Do not change the owner's control panel. 2. Do not make loud noises after 9pm. 3. Be polite with the owner of the house. The tenant has abused me mentally with threats and insulting language. The tenant ignored all evacuation notices in verbal, text messages, and written form. Padsplit is inconsistent with its own policy. Padsplit notified me at the beginning that a tenant doesn't need any notice to move out. Then Padsplit told me I need to provide 30 days notice. Then it was changed to 14 days notice. Even though I sent a written 60 days notice to the tenant twice, Padsplit wrongfully manipulated the letter date and extended the tenant's stay an additional 37 days without my permission. Following Padsplit policy, the tenant should have moved out within 2 days after the third key removal. Padsplit allowed the tenant to continue violating Padsplit policy and harassing me for an additional 37 days. Padsplit short paid me the last rent payment for $322.85. Padsplit discriminated against me as a minority and ignored all my requests for Padsplit to conduct standard business practice and follow its own policy. Here I request Padsplit to reimburse me $1,988.85 for the missing rent payment and damage repair cost. Kind regards

PadSplit accused me of late rent despite my bank statements proving payment
PadSplit claims I owe rent, but my bank statements prove I've paid on time. Despite this, no refunds or reversals have occurred. Payments processed successfully vanish from my account as if they never happened. However, my other banking apps, like Chime and Steady, clearly show these transactions. PadSplit also housed me and six others in a property with black mold and sewage issues, exposing us to maskless maintenance workers during the Covid pandemic. We were unaware of the company's lack of accreditation and trustworthiness. Now, I face harassment for alleged nonpayment, though I've fulfilled my obligations promptly. Repeated attempts to discuss these matters with someone in charge have been fruitless. I receive occasional emails but no phone calls or responses to my calls. As of February 8, 2022, the harassment continues. I've called four times today without any resolution or helpful response. We suspect the water is causing skin breakouts, and seeing the pipes removed today, I'm not surprised by our condition.

Room rented wasn't as advertised and it was dirty when I moved in.
