lipo surgery
Dr. Jay H Ross is the worst lipo-surgeon ever and I would never recommend anyone to him. I had lipo-surgery done in December and specifically asked for the fat areas on my abdomen, front and back flanks and chest to be reduced. I was charged over $5,000 for very minimal work performed and have the before and after pictures to prove my results. After the poor results and OVER FIVE thousands of dollars spent, I went to see Dr. Ross to see if I could get my deposit of $1,500.00 back for the poor job he had performed on me and my dissatisfaction and he was just very rude and unprofessional and decline to provide me a refund and i was not going to allow him to perform on me again since his first obligation was just so AWEFUL so I personally had to find a much more reputable and better surgeon to fix and perform the area that Dr. Ross did not complete. I did end up getting referred to Dr. William Adams in St Pete and he did fix my lipo-surgery and did a phenomenal job!
I have added my BEFORE and AFTER pictures of the surgery by Dr. Jay Ross.
**PLEASE DO NOT EVER USE DR JAY H. ROSS FOR ANY LIPO SURGERY. HE IS A TOTAL RIP-OFF!**
Desired outcome: I just want my initial $1,500.00 deposit back. That's all I want.
aftercare and information incorrect on practice
8/24 tuck & exchange
2/12 lift
3/13 post op
• 3/20 - post op visit, cleared to exercise "healing as you know your body heals" (still slightly open)
• 3/22 - email sent to Dr. Ross about unhappy with results
• 3/28 - very small hole opening up on left breast, mild to moderate pain
• 3/31 - mild body aches
• 4/1 - moderate body aches
• 4/2 1:50 am - developed severe chills, body aches, fever of 102.8; called Dr. Ross at 1:50am; returned call at 2:02 am; explained symptoms (entire body hurting, open draining wound, fever, asking which ER to go to)... response was "Why would you to to ER if you're not bleeding to death or having a stroke then take a pain pill & go back to bed. I have to get up in the morning & my health is important to me." Do you understand- does that make sense?
• 4/2 @ 7:56 am - called office, left message with same symptoms no call returned
• 4/2 @ 9 am - went to Largo Medical Center ER, admitted with sepsis/cellulitis
• 4/2 @ 12:57 pm - voicemail from nurse returning call (stating couldn't understand voicemail left and needed more information)
• 4/2-4/6 admitted to Largo Medical Center; and Tampa General hospital septic & cellulitis; IV antibiotics; wound care. Discharged on 4/4 as medically stable to go from Largo Medical Center to Tampa General Hospital for removal of implants due to infection (per doctors orders)
Dr. Ross argued with the house Doctor at Largo Medical that there was no way the tunnel infection hole could lead to the implant that he placed them under the muscle. This is found out to be false as the CT scan reveals that he did not place under muscle. The hospital wanted to transfer me to Mease Hospital where we thought Dr. Ross had rights to as it turns out he no longer can practice at this hospital. I had no choice but to go to Tampa General Hospital where there is a full staff of Plastic surgeons that could help me. Till this day Dr. Ross or his staff has never called to check on me or anything. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate, unethical LIAR. I would avoid him and his unprofessional staff at all costs. He doesn't care about what you want or how much money he takes from you and has no aftercare he mimics and smirks and states he does a wonderful job. He provides no aftercare and cannot treat infections if you get one.
Don't be fooled by his resume, he does poor work and doesn't care how you feel and doesn't want to follow up with you. He calls you names and makes statement about you when he needs to be the one looking in the mirror. This is a fact not a statement, not trying to be rude or impolite its in all his emails to me.
I had to have a implant removed now I have 2 different sizes breasts.
I would like the full cost of my lift and implants refunded and my medical expense's reimbursed for seeking outside care when I was turned away 2 times by Dr. Ross and his staff on 11/04/17 and now 04/02/18.
* Cost of Breast Prosthesis $6, 628
* additional anesthesia bill $500
*Hospital bills are up to $7, 365 for 11/04/18- 03/01/18 aftercare for TT
* 04/02/-04-05 estimated to be $15, 000 out of pocket 5 days in ER and a surgery- bills are still coming in.
Total $29, 000
The stress and agony caused by Doctor Ross and his staff doesn't even compare to a dollar amount as this has been a nightmare - roller coaster since I walked in for surgery on August 24, 2017. and Feb 12, 2018.
Sincerely,
Lisa C
breast lift
I went to Dr. Ross for a consult in July 2017.
My consultation visit I asked for an exchange of breast implants with a breast Lift and repairs to the areolas. I l also requested a full tummy tuck.
I was told that I was a candidate for all procedures and scheduled for August 24, 2017.
I paid $14, 400 for a full Tummy Tuck, an exchange of breast implants and a breast lift and repair to the areolas so they would not be so big.
At the Pre-Op appointment it was discussed that he would perform an anchor lift for the breast lift as this is the most common with someone with my needs. On the morning of the procedure he drew on me as I lifted my breasts for marking. He made a side comment to me something about my age and the lift- I wasn't sure what he was referring to.
I woke up after the procedure and was told everything went well and then he started to tell me he didn't for the lift only the areola repairs.
I was completed in shock as this was a huge decision for me and wanted a LIFT as it was so much needed.
At my post op he said they look good I didn't give you scars, the scars were not an issue to me I desired an anchor lift as we planned for. I emailed him and requested an explanation as to why he didn't perform the anchors lift and he said he did perform a block lift- tightening of the areola's. This was supposed to be done in addition to the anchor lift.
I requested a revision to do what I requested and paid for and he said he would not do it at this time as I need to heal from the Tummy Tuck.
When I talked to the Secretary Tracy she said she would talk to Dr. Ross as she KNOWS him and would call me.
I explained how dissatisfied- saggy my breasts are and that he did not perform the lift. She said she would deal with Dr. Ross and take care of it.
She never called me about the complaint, so I disputed a prorated amount an Anchor lift would cost me to go to someone else to complete what I paid for. In his response to Care Credit he says I never told him about my dissatisfaction of the procedure and that I had a preexisting sore on my breast which prevented him from performing the anchor lift.
That is true I had a healed scar when I went for the consult and pre-op appointment, but he said it was ok it is fine. He NEVER told me he wasn't performing the lift at all because of the preexisting condition, or I would have surely waited for this procedure and he should have to. He just wanted my money immediately y. He is being dishonest and unethical about what I was scheduled for and why he did not perform it.
It is not right that he can lie to my face and my husband and friend that are all witness as to what I paid for and what I received, I want a refund for not having the anchor lift so I can go somewhere else that can perform this.
Beware that he is a liar.
I have emails to him about my concerns and requesting a revision or refund with no response from anyone.
In fact, when I went for follow up appointments the staff didn't even know who I was or if I was there for Pre-Op or Post Op. Couple times they said why are here? Did you request an appointment? Very unprofessional and not friendly staff.
I just paid you $14.400 and you don't know who I am or why I am here for an appointment?
Really?

botched job on plastic surgery
I went to Dr. Jay Ross for both upper & lower eyelids surgery on October 2014. I had several crease on my left eyelid. I asked him to cut off all those crease to make just one nice crease on my left eyelid. He did not do that. Now I still have two double creases on my left eyelid which I asked him to redo the surgery that he refused to do. I am not...
