ParetoLogic Unauthorized Yearly Fees

I purchased RegCure for $39 in September 2007. At that time there was no mention that it was only a 1 year subscription, and to continue using it I must renew at $20 per year. This is outrageous since I legally bought the program. Since they have my credit card data, they will automatically deduct the yearly fee without authorization. I did not rent the program, I bought it. Support has not been willing to help. There seems to be no way to cancel the subscription. This program is misrepresented.

ParetoLogic No support, no refund

Here is the address for refunds but good luck! I did not have any. Registered my RegCure on Sept27,2007 and used it on new PC with 32 bit Windows vista Home Prem. After weeks of crashing problems I finally contacted McAfee my security software who analyzed my system on their connection and told me to remove RegCure. I did and there ended my crashes. I contacted RegCure and was very civil. I just wanted a refund. Here was their reply.

"Hello Denmark,

Thank you for your reply.

regcure is a total lie, I tryed it on my windows xp computer, it said I had around 10000 problems. When I upgraded to windows 7, with a fresh install regcure said I had 294 problems - with a CLEAN, installer LEGALLY Bought, offical software. And regcure lied to make me think there were problems with the software that the official Microsoft gave me!

I bought RegCure for 30 USD, but when I compared it side-by-side with Norton's registry cleaner, I discovered the latter one more errors on my computer and did a better job of cleaning them up. I decided to go with Norton, but when I asked for a refund from RegCure, all I got was the run around. Do not buy RegCure!

I recently downloaded regcure in hopes of getting rid of an error 48. It was the first solution i recieved when i tried typing in error 48 into google. I apparently have 2767 errors on my computer, and it only managed to eliminate ONE error...which needless to say wasnt the error I was looking to get rid of. It wasn't worth the download at all.

RegCure was downloaded to fix my slow PC. After I ran the scan and paid for the software the "PanoStandAlone" pop up thing started. When I googled it I found it is a spyware and others have it and still others got it after downloading RegCure. |I recently aquired the free download of the regcure product and paid for the full programme using my visa credit card. When I tried to do the upgrade I found it would not install and therefore does not work. I intend to take off the free download immediately and wish to have a full refund of the money already paid back into my Visa account.

Thanking you for a speedy resolve to this matter.

ParetoLogic RegCure destroyed my computer

I had been experiencing a slow response from my new Windows Vista laptop for a few weeks and found RegCure on the internet. As it came highly recommended and found 28,000 problems with my registry keys, I purchased it a a cost of US$30 and cleaned the issues. On the same day I decided to check the system again and RegCure found another 6,000 problems which the program 'fixed'. The next morning when I turned on my computer I was mortified to find that I no longer had access to any programs or the internet. In fact, there was nothing at all on my computer that I could access. I run a home business and an inaccessible computer would have been disastrous had my husband not had some of the information on his laptop. The only way forward according to HP help was to re-format my computer which I have. Now, I have to begin the arduous task of re-entering all my programs formats, templates, business contacts, websites etc. There is NO response from the company on the matter of a refund and no apparent way of retrieving this via an internet consumer watchdog. DO NOT USE REGCURE, it is destructive and simply does not do the job it purports to.

ParetoLogic Bogus software, reports false probems and then does nothing!

1. Overcharged. price was $29.95 but credit card was billed $35.19.

2. Product does nothing but reports errors, (may be false?) and then says they have been cleared. It's very suspicious and in reality I don't believe anything is being done.

3. This product and the company looks like it's a complete scam.

I want to say that I was downloading the free Microsoft Security Essentials(MSE). I decided to do it to my old old laptop which is so slow that I replaced it...ok so somehow this pareto logic program snuck in there because I was careless in getting MSE. It's easy to be misled, and by golly I unintentionally jumped the track. When I began to realize it wasn't the same program (MSE) I'd gotten and was running on my desktop and new laptop, I clicked the X and got rid of it. It had set me up by saying I had over 1000 errors and it was going to fix them if I just clicked OK...or FIX THEM or whatever. I had an old memory come back of the registry ripoffs of which I've read over the years. I went after MSE more carefully and now it's running on my old laptop. Not only is pareto a ripoff, but they have ways to make u think u R getting a Microsoft free product and they give u theirs. Reminds me of the Cowbird's laying of her eggs in other birds' nests and they raise her young. Avoid Pareto at all costs. Dr Stan in Mesa

I have been using RegCure for over a year without a problem. It was recommended by several independent sources. It looks like the majority of complaints revolve around the "Free" trial, which cleans 19 or so problems, but ask for you to purchase the product to fix the remaining problems. What did those people expect for Free?
I have never called Pareto, but they have always answered my Emails.

ParetoLogic Misleading and damaging program

On 08-18-2007 at 12:40 PM, I downloaded an evaluation version from www.regcure.com - this guaranteed 100% safety and recommended itself intensely, accrediting some 84 expert developers. On the strength of this I installed and ran the evaluation version - this detected some 1 500 registry errors of various types, a promising result. After this exercise, the program "summary" indicated that "0" that is "zero" changes had been made and nothing had been corrected - this was completely acceptable and I strongly considered purchasing the program - attempting this was however a frustrating trial as entering all my information and double-checking it before submission led to its declaring a non-existent error in this information, and stating that the credit-card transaction could not be processed. Triple-checking the information and resubmission led to the same result - this makes me strongly suspect that this process is a deliberate scam designed to obtain my credit-card information, permission to withdraw finance and to proceed doing so in an illegal manner.

The worst was to come - as the evaluation version, far from "not having made any changes" actually destroyed EVERY file association in my registry - this traumatic event which cost me hours of work, as I have program development material for a scheduled meeting within 24 hrs of this, could not be reversed with a system restore - it had to be corrected individually in relevant programs' global configurations, as also manually in Window's file association pane. I have under pressure of work not yet been able to complete this lengthy forced repair.

My feelings after this are totally poisonous towards this crowd of "experts" who in the forced damage to my file system, in accurate synopsis, amount to not much more than amateur dilettantes in the damage their program does. I will go so far as to actively warn all our students, our fellow lecturers, and anyone involved in computer work at all, seriously against the danger this program poses, as also the clear non-functionality of their transaction software which displays all the hallmarks of seductive theft.

Regcure and its developers can go to hell as far as I am concerned - I would not touch this "100% safe and guaranteed" program with a barge-pole and will warn everyone I encounter against it - this including our extensive international associates.

Sincerely,

Frank Valentyn,
Tech. Mgr. De-Stress Refuge Wellness Centre / Centaur Communication Systems

I agree, but disagree totaly. It does more damage than that. You are right. It's useless. It's FREE with a HIGH COST if you want it to work. Some others are AVG 8.0, Spybot: Search And Destroy, and many other PC safety things. And don't trust Windows Genuine Validation, if it appears and you've PAID. If you pay about 6, 000 pounds for a computer, and WGV comes up. They're scamming, ifyou've bought it in a shop. Peronaly I don't trust safety you download off the Internet, or Windows, or about 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the Internet. It's always the "free" ones that say you have X viruses.

ParetoLogic Gave me a 'Trojan' virus!

I downloaded the Free scan from the Regcure web page. This promised to sort infections but instead, it gave me a 'Trojan' virus. I am not having any joy at contacting them to sort it out. I am now left with an annoying and very slow computer.

Avoid this company at all costs or pay heavily for not taking notice.

I downloaded this product yesterday at a special $10.00 off the regular price of $39.90. According to the band check I receive today I was charged the full price. Since downloading I find that my computer is running very much slower. I should like at least the advertised $10.00 refunded. Judging by my computer performance since using the product, i should get a total refund!

I purchased RegCure on 9/11/07, in hopes that it would help my system. It did not! In addition, my external hard drive now no longer works, which has invaluable information on it, and I am quite upset. Please refund my money. I am not a computer wiz, so I cannot say whether or not RegCure is responsible for my hard drive malfunction, but, I can say it hasn't helped either.

I too purchased RegCure on the basis of its scan of my computer. I have had another registry 'cleaner' called RegSmart. It seemed to work o.k. but when the scan made by RegCure showed over 600 'errors' I was floored! I had just scanned with RegSmart the day before and it indicated my registry was 'clean.' Being impressed, I bought the program.

Much to my regret, this program has caused many problems with my computer. Missing files, folders, trying to access the internet (why?) trying to access some security files (Per ZoneAlarm) and, now, I have a new Home page with missing toolbar data and download data (Mozilla Firefox). I stopped using it to scan my registry for fear I will have more problems!

I just sent them a e-mail requesting a refund and I will also inform my credit card company of this complaint in the event I get the run around! Something is out of whack here, and I mean to end it b efore more damage is done to my files.

Some time ago there info popped up on my desktop computer saying they would fix slow computers. I believe I paid $24.95 with a credit card. After that I tried to "clean up" my computer, but RegCure said I needed to pay $39.95. I didn't want to, but have no way of finding them to cancel or ask for my money back. They are on my computer everytime I go on professing their ability to check my computer and fix whatever is wrong. They say there are about 17, 000 things wrong.

Regcure advertises that they are a FREE registry repair software. After running their FREE scan it shows you have many problems and they will fix them for $29.95. Thats not free software. I paid the money expected things to be fixed but everything is the same as it was before . Their claims are false. First as being free and second of fixing registry problems. This company or should I classify them as a group of thieves should be addressed and dealt with. They should not be able to lie to the Public, STEAL our hard earned money with false claims of PC repair and of a faster PC. It is a lie and should not be tolerated! You have my e-mail address and I would appreciate a response to my complaint. Thank You for letting me vent.

RegCure claims to be a free registry cleaner ("freeware") yet after you go through downloading it, they tell you you have hundreds of registry problems on your computer and in order to fix it you have to pay for it! Why not be upfront instead of being deceptive?
I fell for this twice over a period of time and I am angry at their deception.

The program cost more than I expected through not reading the fine print. {my fault] The program runs once or at the most twice & then refuses to run again. Contacting Paretologic 4 times to date brings a quick response & the problem goes away until I try to run it more than once or at the most twice. They are most apologetic & ostenibly helpful but it is not getting fixed! They have also agreed to refund the money if I want. Don't buy it! It is a total waste of money & what to me is more important a total waste of time contacting them.

RegCure crashed my comupter. But I got my money back and my complaint was that the cashier SafeCart took two payments instead of one and expected me to wait over two weeks to get my money back. I had already lost time and money getting the computer fixed and I was supposed to wait to get my money back. I don't think so! I used the BBB in Victoria, B.C. to push them to give me my money back posthaste. They did. Paretologic said: We have submitted the refund to our e-commerce company, Safe-Cart. However, it still must go through our transaction processors and occasionally other institutions which can add time delays. What "transaction processors"? What "other institutions"? Is this something that should be looked into in the way of "customer satisfaction" so that the customer is serviced better and well. It's a mockery to our intelligence. You'd think they would hang themselves on all that red tape. But the inconvenience is on us.

ParetoLogic Can't find a way to cancel my service

I have had Regcure for almost a year, that is how long I purchased it for. I wanted to cancel before the year was up but could never find a place on Regcure that deals with cancellation. I don't feel Regcure does a good job and I wanted to cancel and try someone else. It never fixed anything you could have it scan and it would say it fixed a hundred or any number of items and then you can rerun the scan and it will find even more each time you run it even back to back but finally my year is almost up and I received a message to renew, but it still shows no where to cancel or not renew. It is up on July 15th of this year and I am afraid they are going to renew again. If anyone knows the address to cancel I would like to know. Thanks

Hello Inez

Thank you for your question.

If you are experiencing difficulty with the RegCure program, please send an email to support@regcure.com and someone from our technical support team will be delighted to assist you. Most often repeat errors are due to empty registry keys which are recreated by Windows.

If your issues were due to invalid or incorrect entries in your Windows Registry, we are confident that RegCure will alleviate these problems.

If RegCure is up for renewal and you do not wish to renew, you can simply remove it from your computer using the Add/Remove programs function in your Programs menu.

RegCure licenses are for a 1 year term, and they are not automatically renewed. This is entirely voluntary on your part, so please do not be concerned that another payment will be deducted.

Please let us know via email to support@regcure.com if we can be of further assistance to you.

Kindest Regards
Laura

ParetoLogic Software corrupted startup files

I purchased RegCure on 5/19/2007 which promised to optimize my system and correct any registry errors. Internet searches always lead to RegCure so I purchased, installed, and utilized the software. Following the next startup an annoying Error 1706 appeared that took considerable effort to clear, it just kept poping up. The error as it turned out was related to my HP printer. RegCure had erroneously disassociated a startup file resulting in the printer software not functioning correctly, in addition to the Error 1706. Finally after uninstalling the printer software the problem was fixed, this took hours to resolve. Finally, to test whether the errors were the result of RegCure, like an idiot, I ran it again and again RegCure found hundreds of registry and other problems, this was following running the program a few time before. I allowed the software to fix the so called problems and the same Error 1706 occurred demonstrating that it was RegCure. Another issue occurred which I don’t know if it was RegCure or not since I was so focused on the initial error was a hang up during startup of Compaq’s Hotkeys. Since I don’t need or use the Hotkeys I deleted from the startup and that issue was solved. Other than these errors and problems I have not noticed any differences in optimization.

I did delete RegCure (no issues since) and sent an email describing the problem and asked for a refund. RegCure responded thanking me for “My Question” ? I considered my email a statement. As of this moment I have no response but hope to hear something soon from RegCure.

I downloaded the regcure free trial, cleaned like 20 errors and shut off my computer. The next time I turned my computer on my entire desktop did not load. I had to restore to a previous time point. I would suggest fixing registry issues with rediget. Google registry errors and rediget. Regcure scared the crap out of me.

I to have RegCure[RC] and have had problems with my HP all-in-one printer after running the RC scan. I try to use my HP to scan/copy a document and receive an HP-CUE overflow error. I restore registry back to before RC scan and no longer receive HP-CUE overfow error. You can add HP reg keys to RC "ignore list" so you don't have problems with HP, not a small task as there are many reg keys to go thru after running a RC scan.

To whom this may concern;
I installed the software on 7-21-08 and on the 23rd I started having problems with my computer and the one program I use all day everyday I can't use. I need some help ASAP...I can't enter anything into this program which is causing me to get behind in my work. I am the CFO of a company and can't preform my duties when my computer is not working properly due to software I downloaded in hopes this would protect my computer not stop me from working. I leave work at 5:00pm eastern time and arrive in the morning at 7:00am. My number if someone can call me is [protected] x: 223. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could call me and walk me thru getting my computer back to normal.
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention in this matter.
Lynnea

RegCure did NOT fix the presence of SYSMON.EXE. How could it? The program puts itself in the Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSysmon folder of its own and insinuates itself into your default PJG browser to save all its (many) screen snapshots. Frightening stuff.

I eventually received a refund.

Yes I will be asking for a Refund also, Regcure does more damage to a computer than a trogen. Totally has damaged my video card's registry entrys I had to do a full format. It also deletes needed windows reg files.

ParetoLogic Waste of money

I had a problem with my laptop. A common system file called "svchost" which is associated with a lot of trojan viruses was showing acpuase of 90+ %. After running my anti-virus and spyware software the problem remained. Not sure what to do I googled for a solution. Regcure promised to fix my "svchost" problem or my money back. It didnt fix the problem, which I later did simply by turning off Windows automatic updates, and after submitting this to them I have ad no reply.. I have since learned a lot about Regcure, that it nothing like what it purports to be. Dont buy it!

ParetoLogic Messed up my computer

I used the free download of Regcure. It surely worked for them! I can no longer even to get my Norton Antivirus to work properly. Also, I can find no way to uninstall this product. Please don't mess up your computer, like I did, by believing everything you read.

I uninstalled regCure after I was informed by a prompt that my subscription was up… That’s funny; I was under the impression that I only had to pay once not annually! Anyway, after I uninstalled the regcure with the uninstall software my screen started to flicker. It continues to flicker..and eventually stop after 10 to 15 minutes ALL DAY! It’s like regcure is still running but nothings there. I have a new slogan for them .. RegCure … the crappy gift that keeps on giving.

We have a number of issues on our laptop (Norton360 is broken; can't unstall, can't reinstall; various downloaded programs' setup.exe files will not work; Nero was working fine and stopped; cannot reach various servers online (iTunes Store download server, etc.) ; various browsers no longer work - only IE and Opera work, etc. We installed and ran RegCure. Every couple of days it finds 100+ empty registry keys and activeX issues. I fix, they come back. Tonight I ran a scan and fix about 12 times. I cannot fix the last 4 or 6 empty reg keys even though it says fixed. I ran it 12 times in a row including at least 3 times with wireless turned off so netw not an issue. I have tried to download both Spybot and Hijackthis and neither setup.exe will work so cannot download. I am foiled at every turn. I figure I have a virus or a supervirus and Norton360 is disabled so I'm disastrously exposed.

Does anyone know what fixes these issues? Why would RegCure tell me the empty registry keys are fixed and an immediate scan shows they are not? How do I find out which reg keys are empty? Please email if possible. This laptop (HP, Vista - which is a NIGHTMARE) is 11 months old and I want to pour acid on it and set it on fire. Thanks,
Peg C.

Please check my subscription renewals. How many times I have paid for privacy controls. I was invited to renew in 2018/2019 when I had already had a current subscription . I incorrectly renewed when I had a current subscription. I believe I have already got 6 months or more before renewal is due.

Please advise

RegCure is rubbish.

I bought the software last week. I got no licence key. I had to send two emails before they replied, sending me the key two days after purchasing. They explained
that the delay was due to an error. Checking the web, this seems to be a common problem!

Okay, I got the licence key I paid for so I installed and ran. THANK GOD I TOOK A SYSTEM RESTORE! It detected over 2500 errors then proceeded to "fix" them.
I ran again, and surprise surprise, more errors. In fact, each time I ran it, it reported anything from 20 to 400 errors! Hmmm. At this point I rebooted.

I got loads of boot errors. RegCure had deleted essential registry values needed for the correct functioning of my PC. That's when the system restore came in really
handy.

I have now asked for a refund - their site offers a 57 day money back guarantee (why 57 and not 60?). And I WILL get my money back, even if I have to call
my CC company and cancel the transaction.

I tried "ADVANCED SYSTEM OPTIMIZER" – it costs $29.95 but they offer a 30 day free trial period. It cleaned up my registry (1700 errors), and my PC is working
fine. There are loads of other useful optimization features, so it looks like a good product.

ParetoLogic Regcure Software killed my PC!

I went on the Internet to find something to improve the poor performance of my computer. Regcure promised to repair all of the problems on my computer, so I purchased it and downloaded the program. After running the program my computer would boot up OK but none of my programs would work. I kept getting messages that said "Winsock2 needs to be installed on this computer" and IHPIPAPI.DLL file is not functioning. When I tried to go to the Internet to report theses problems I discovered that I was no longer able to access the Internet. I am not a computer geek so I depend on the products I purchase from the Internet to maintain my computer. I am making this report on my son’s computer since mine no longer works. I went online to [protected]@regcure.com and reported my problem. I got no response. So I e-mailed them at [protected]@regcure.com and asked them to refund my money. I still have not received a response. I am reporting this in the hopes that I might save some poor sucker from loosing the use of his/her computer as I have.

I have had the same type of problems. After buying REG CURE years ago with no
satisfaction and no response and being ignored, I carried my computer to a shop
and paid $150 to have it repaired and reloaded. Of course I lost all my stuff. I also
think that the errors were false and I bet Reg cure doesn't use their own product.

I bought regcure software after my laptop crashed. I called to register the product and stupidly allowed myself to be talked into a remote repair being done by one of their recharge for 220.00. It solved nothing. I called back three times, after the last call and doing everything they told me to do I ended up with no Internet and had to take my laptop to a computer repair shop today anyway. Very expensive lesson. Spent 330.00 total with this company. Its a sham. They are nothing but snake oil salesmen.

I purchased the 39.99 software to clean up my laptop. I called to register the product as the website suggested and let them talk me into having one of their recharge do a remote repair. I now have no Internet connection. Whatever they did destroyed the driver to my wireless adapter. My laptop is now being repaired the right way. Total rip off and I'm out $330.00. Feel stupid. Learned an expensive lesson.
