Partners Federal Credit Union repossesed a vehicle cuz of a straw purchase
Partners Federal Credit Union repossesed a vehicle cuz of a straw purchase. The manager, ***, has been all up in my face, being all threatening and way too aggressive.
I've been with Partners Federal Credit Union since 2006
I've been with Partners Federal Credit Union since 2006. They made a mistake by adding an "automated charge fee" to my savings account, which caused it to go negative. As a result, they charged it off and marked it as "charge off" on my credit report. I called them to discuss the issue, and they admitted their error and promised to remove it. However, they never followed through on their promise. I hope they can rectify this situation by removing these inaccurate entries from my credit report and ensuring that other customers don't face the same problem.
I found a fake account on my credit report and I reported it to the Federal Trade Commission
I found a fake account on my credit report and I reported it to the Federal Trade Commission. I also sent it to PARTNERS FEDERAL CRE so they could stop this fake info from being on my credit report. According to the Fair Credit reporting Act, PARTNERS FEDERAL CRE had 4 biz days to remove the fake info, but they didn't do it. I'm complaining because they broke my rights. Here's the fake account on my credit report: PARTNERS FEDERAL CRE XXXXXXXXXX Date started Sep 01, 2018 Balance $0.

They put a block on my card without telling me or asking for permission
They put a block on my card without telling me or asking for permission. I have money in my checking and savings accounts, so there's no reason for them to hold it. I tried to buy a service on *** and kept getting rid of it, thinking maybe they don't accept my card. Then I tried to use it for an escape room experience for my son, but it got declined. So, I called to find out what's happening, and they said I have to go to a branch during opening hours because they can't explain or fix it. I didn't receive any email notice about my account, nothing. They blocked my card for no reason, and I'm really mad at their unprofessional behavior. This isn't the first time I've had problems with them not fixing or helping me with my account.
I got a big problem, someone stole my identity!
I got a big problem, someone stole my identity! So, I'm writing to ask you to block those fake accounts on my credit reports from Transunion, Equifax, and Experian. I didn't do any of those transactions, and I never gave permission for anyone to use my personal info. I want to use my legal rights, you know, the ones that Congress and The Federal Trade Commission made. They say that when someone's a victim of identity theft and disputes a fake account on their credit report, all the credit bureaus have to honor it. They gotta block all the fake info within 4 days and let the people who gave them the wrong info know about it. Oh, and by the way, there's this account from Partners Federal Credit Union with a balance of $18,297.00. The account number is XXXXXXXXXXXX.
I sent my payment to Partners Federal Credit Union on 3/30, but it took them until 4/20 to post it
I sent my payment to Partners Federal Credit Union on 3/30, but it took them until 4/20 to post it. I was charged interest and a late fee because of this delay. When I called customer service on 4/16, the lady told me to wait a few days before stopping the payment, as if she knew they were purposely holding up checks. And just as she said, the payment was finally posted two business days later. But I still ended up being charged interest and a late fee. It seems like Partners Fed Credit Union intentionally delayed processing my payment. On a side note, I also mailed my insurance payment on the same day, and they posted it on 4/3.
I had a problem with Partners Federal Credit Union when it came to giving me provisional credit for credit fraud
I had a problem with Partners Federal Credit Union when it came to giving me provisional credit for credit fraud. According to the law, they were supposed to give me this credit within 7-10 business days. However, they didn't do it on time. When I asked them about it, they admitted that they made a mistake and didn't record the full amount I reported. I was really surprised by this. I asked them to fix it, and they did, but it's been more than 10 days now and I still haven't received the provisional credit for the amount I reported. They are breaking the law by not giving it to me. I'm a bit hesitant to give my full bank account number or bank credit card on this form because of everything I've been through. If there's any way you can help me without that information, my full name is ***. The last 4 numbers of my bank account end in ***.
I got this weird debt "collection" thing on my credit report
I got this weird debt "collection" thing on my credit report. So, I reached out to the company in a bunch of letters to tell them I don't owe this debt. They keep saying it's for a school loan that I never finished or took out a second loan for. They didn't respond to me, except for sending me a bunch of papers from PB Cosmetology school, saying I went there for a few months but didn't finish the course. The "debt" on my credit report says it was last reported on Nov. 30th, 2021. I don't owe this collector or the school "$8,196". I took out student loans, didn't pay anything out of my own pocket, and didn't finish the school because the teachers and staff were terrible. The amount of debt doesn't even make sense. My student loans covered my whole tuition and even paid for some extra time I spent there. I don't owe this "debt", and I only owe the federal government a little less than $3k now that I've been paying it off. I want this inaccurate debt removed from my credit report.
I paid off a car loan from Partners Federal Credit Union and still haven't got my title or E-title
I paid off a car loan from Partners Federal Credit Union and still haven't got my title or E-title. It's been like 6 months and I still don't have a title. In Chicago, you need the title to renew your license plate, but I can't do that. The city towed my car this week and I can't get it back until I get a new license plate with the title that they haven't sent me. This means I gotta pay the towing company, pay the overdue plate tickets, and maybe even more fees if Partners Federal Credit Union takes forever to send the title. I called them today and they seemed confused about why they haven't sent it. They said something about a wrong address, but I've had the same address on file even before I paid off the car. Every day they take to send me the document costs me more money in storage fees for the tow company. When I asked why they haven't sent it, they didn't give me a clear answer.
$30,000 loan amount
$30,000 loan amount. He said that the maximum they could approve me for was $25,000. I was frustrated and disappointed with this news as it meant I would have to adjust my budget and potentially settle for a less expensive car.
Despite this setback, I decided to proceed with the $25,000 loan and started looking for a suitable vehicle within that price range. I found a few options and contacted the credit union to initiate the purchase process. The representative I spoke to, Jennifer, was helpful and guided me through the necessary steps. She explained the paperwork involved and provided me with clear instructions on how to proceed.
Once I had all the required documents, I submitted them to Partners Federal Credit Union. The process was relatively smooth, although it did take a bit longer than I had anticipated. I had to follow up with Jennifer a couple of times to check on the progress of my application. She was always polite and responsive, but it would have been nice to receive more frequent updates without having to initiate the communication myself.
Finally, after a few weeks, I received the confirmation that my loan had been approved. I was relieved and excited to finally be able to purchase a new car. Jennifer informed me of the next steps, including the finalization of the loan agreement and the transfer of funds to the dealership.
Overall, my experience with Partners Federal Credit Union was a mix of ups and downs. While I appreciated the initial recommendation to consider a personal loan, I was disappointed with the miscommunication regarding the loan amount. The process itself was relatively smooth, but the lack of proactive updates was a minor inconvenience.
In the end, I am grateful that I was able to secure a loan and purchase a new vehicle. However, I hope that Partners Federal Credit Union can improve their communication and ensure that customers are provided with accurate information from the start.
We almost done with our CH 13 bankruptcy (maybe 1-2yrs left)
We almost done with our CH 13 bankruptcy (maybe 1-2yrs left). I tried to open a checking/saving account at my job's credit union, but they said I couldn't because of a charge off from Partners for $482.30. I called a bunch of times and left messages with their collections department to fix it. I think the voicemail said only 3 people work there and handle everything. I also asked my lawyer if he knew about this charge off, but he didn't know where it came from since all my Partners accounts were part of the bankruptcy. Partners never called me back or reached out to fix the problem. I'm willing to make a payment plan if someone can contact me to fix this. They're really messing up my credit rebuilding process.
Partners took $338.99 out of my account without my consent, which made it impossible for me to pay my rent
Partners took $338.99 out of my account without my consent, which made it impossible for me to pay my rent. They took this amount even though I had already made a payment arrangement with them on 2/14 for $100. I explained to a woman named Dorien that I had fallen behind on payments because I had lost my job. She asked if I could pay more than $100, but I declined because I had just started a new job and my first paycheck would only allow me to contribute what I could. I also had other bills to catch up on, including my rent. I informed them that I couldn't set up another automatic payment arrangement in the following weeks due to these other financial obligations.
Despite explaining the situation to them, Partners still took $338.99 from my account before February was over, which was supposed to go towards my rent on the 1st. I called them to request a reversal of the withdrawal and to set up a payment arrangement at a later date. However, the same woman, Dorien, coldly refused and insisted that it would remain as it is. I was very upset because now I am left without any money for rent. She even hung up on me, claiming that I was screaming at her, when in reality, I was just crying while explaining my situation. I would like them to review the recorded calls to confirm this. Her teller number is ***.
I strongly advise against banking with Partners due to their unethical practices. What angers me the most is that this woman was aware of my financial difficulties and my efforts to catch up. I would have been more than willing to make a different payment arrangement on the 6th. There was clear communication with this bank, yet their actions were completely unethical. This woman showed no understanding of the consequences of her actions. I will be searching for another financial institution and I encourage others to avoid using this bank as well.
