I have been with Patents to Retail for a few months now and so far everything has been good. I just received my prototype which is why I am writing this review. The prototype is awesome! I am thrilled and can't wait for the actual production to start. I find it odd that the negative reviews don't even seem like clients of theirs. I was always planning on leaving a review but wanted to see how things were going first which is what I did. But as someone who is working with them I can honestly recommend them.

After getting 100 "No's", I was referred to Patents to Retail and finally found my "YES!". We have since successfully licensed my patented invention to Patents to Retail. Andy (the owner), is a plethora of knowledge and an honest person to do business with. The entire process has been a journey and educational. Most importantly, we are officially available on *** Prime and introducing my product to market. A great accomplishment for any inventor, couldn't have done it without Andy's experience, help, and company.
So far I am pleased with what is going on. My initial conversation went well. M, I will call him. M is great he explained everything very well and is down to earth . He answered all my questions also gave me his direct line which helped tremendously. My next contact I will call her S. She explained what they will be doing to start getting my patent to market upon my approval. So far I am giving 5 stars I will make another review at a later date. Ty ***.
I usually do not use ComplaintsBoard.com for anything. I call or contact directly whichever business I need and talk to them. Depending on how I feel while conversing and after gives me my future plans about using that business. I had my own business in ***. I was listed in *** I also discovered you can purchase a ComplaintsBoard.com rating card.
Their process is as described - an honest approach in helping inventors get inventions into the retail channel
Their process is as described - an honest approach in helping inventors get inventions into the retail channel. They have very strong relationships with 6 of the top 8 e-commerce retailers and their associated retail stores. This gives an inventor a leg up in getting products to retail consumers. They have a very direct business approach on their production run consultation and involve the inventor at every stage of the product development. It is a pleasure to do business with Axis International Marketing/Patents to Retail.
I am not a client of Patents to Retail. I reached out to them because I have a product that I have been working on since 2016. I needed some help with some manufacturing and mainly product placement. I'm interested in selling my product in *** as it is a carpenters tool. I set up a meeting with them. I thought they were really nice and professional. They showed me around their office and actually offered some lunch. Unfortunately the business relationship never materialized as I hoped. They weren't as high on my product as I was which was frustrating to say the least. They have sold a ton of products in stores I want to sell mine in. I was hoping to license my product but they told me they didn't think their buyers would be interested in this type of tool. They gave me their reasons why and we went our separate ways. I appreciate their honesty. I'm giving them a good review based on how I was treated. I never got to use their services but would if the opportunity was there 100%."
I've been working with Patents to Retail for about three years now. I have a product selling with them. So far I have no complaints. Payouts are always on time and their President takes time to talk to me personally which I appreciate. Also, their warehouse is impressive and they will take you on a tour if you like which is great because I'm only a couple hours away from them and it's pretty cool to see my product waiting to be shipped out. "
I spoke with Matt from Patents to Retail, and he outlined everything elaborately. Matt explained everything, including the entire process of their manufacturing and licensing processes, and the way he explained it all made sense. Matt was very polite and professional. I appreciate you giving me a call Matt.

So if you got a call from them, they'll probably have said something like 'we are interested in licensing your product' in reality, they are a invention promotion company. They are hoping the inventor will pay money for them to take your invention and bring it to market. Not saying these guys are a scam company, the reviews on here seem to indicate they are not, but before you spend any time on communication (they want to speak on their terms) with them, you should know that they are trying to SELL you their services, not the other way around.

I'm so excited to work with Patents to Retail! I first received a call from Jasmine. She was very respectful on the phone, and answered all my questions and doubts. I understood that this company aims to take a patented idea and turn it into reality. *** then contacts me, and it's a pleasure speaking with him...he patiently listens and answers all of my questions...and he gives detailed responses and gave an overview of what to hopefully expect. He led me through the beginning process and spoke honestly about how it works. It's been many years that I have this idea just sitting "on the shelf" after trying to get it going...but now there is another chance for it! Looking forward to continue working with them :)

I have been contacted by this company regarding my patent
I have been contacted by this company regarding my patent. I believe they are a scam. Luckily I didn't proceed but I owe it to *** prey. Don't take my word for it. Here are a few things that might help you realize the truth about this company:1)Before you proceed with them ask to correspond via email. (not just sending the documents, rather putting information and discussions in writing). 2)Try to search them on ***. 3) They claim to have best selling products on *** and other stores. There might be some of their products sold by third party *** sellers but are light years away from being bestsellers.4) Ask them if you can have an attorney contact them or if you can put the deposit in escrow. 5) please do your homework before giving away your hard earned money!"

I am just getting started working with Patents to Retail and I am very excited about bringing my invention to Market
I am just getting started working with Patents to Retail and I am very excited about bringing my invention to Market . My initial contact agent Bruce Miller has been so helpful and always just a joy to speak with during our many conversations leading up to this point. Bruce is certainly very professional but also very personable and fun to have conversations with about a variety of subjects that we covered. I already feel like Bruce is a friend and that he is in my corner. I found him to be very knowledgeable and he instilled a great deal of confidence in me in the process of what we are about to do. I certainly recommend to anyone who has a patent and would like to do something with it to at least have a conversation with Bruce. You will find it will worth your time. Sincerely Victor S. Wright.

I am an inventor and entrepreneur with over 30 patents and 45 years of experience, helping to found 4 new companies in optoelectronic communications, biomedical, consumer electronics and new product realization. The challenge for inventors is getting their innovations to retail shelves. Patents to Retail provides this vital service to inventors and the up-front fees charged are extremely modest when compared to the cost of founding a new company and marketing a new product, especially to large retail outlets. *** has been very helpful and professional in each step of this process. His open and honest communication is very refreshing and it is a pleasure doing business with him. My attorney has reviewed their contract and it appears reasonable and straight forward. I give this company my highest recommendation and will follow up with another review when the product reaches retail shelves.

I recently got reconnected with a former colleague, who has been my contact at a major corporation since before the pandemic hit hard. This person has been very attentive and knowledgeable and quite interested in the patent that I currently hold. As we continued to discuss the licensing of my patent with the corporation, they provided a step by step process as to what to expect in a licensing deal. Additional and informative information was presented on the corporation's business, as well on the success of multiple products that are currently licensed with them. A deal has yet to be established. Everything came to a halt due to the pandemic impacting manufacturing and businesses heavily. We agreed to reconnect once things settle down. I am looking forward to the potential my patent can have in retail. This contact has been a go-getter and has been a wealth of information in the arena of licensing and on to manufacturing and retail. With their knowledge and technical strength in this business, I trust that they will be there to support me in my licensing endeavors. Thank you.

We have had the pleasure of working with Bruce from patents to retail from the initial contact and he is great knowledgeable and straight forward when talking to him. We have an invention unique an only one in the world of it's kind and after attempting many times to work with other marketing firms to help us with acquiring a licensing agreement and paying large amounts of money with no results and false promises Bruce has come to our rescue and we have had the pleasure of signing a licensing agreement with Patents to Retail thanks to his hard work and dedication to helping others with their invention. For those who do not believe in this company "I can only tell you that you are loosing the opportunity of your life if you don't believe in Bruce and Patents to Retail". I also hesitated after being contacted by Bruce their licensing agent but I trusted and believe that they are the ones to put my invention out into market. We have the pleasure of working now with Sofia Project Mgr. / Manufacturing Rep and we can only say that she is great to work with. Our win win win situation is a dream come true. Trust Bruce he is great.
***This company called me and told me they were interested in my product
This company called me and told me they were interested in my product. Then they set up a phone meeting with STEVE ***. He told me that they were interested in licensing my product. However, I would need to pay them anywhere between $7-$10K. I asked what the percentage of people that pay this get purchase orders and he said that was hard to calculate. I found it odd they had no ROI established data. Then when I told him that this seemed a little shady he flew off the handle and yelled at me that I called the company a scam and that they would sue me for slander. I then raised my voice back saying how dare you be so unprofessional and I did not call it a scam but shady that a person out of the blue calls me to license and believe in my product then asks me for thousands of dollars. He kept screaming at me and was unhinged. Then he told me they no longer are interested in my product. I called him back and he put me straight to voicemail where I stated how unprofessional he was and that I was reporting him and the company to the ***. The whole dealing with Patents for Retail was very odd, unprofessional and STEVE *** LICENSING AGENT was unstable.

This company contacted me, said they were interested in a licensing deal to get my invention marketed/sold
This company contacted me, said they were interested in a licensing deal to get my invention marketed/sold. *** called me 2 days later, I told him I own my patent, trademark, tool and have a very small inventory. I know my target market and have done a couple of trade shows before *** shut us all down. I told him that I looked this company up and read all the reviews and I would not be giving them any money. He pointed out all the retail stores "they" have put products in with sales up to 90 million dollars...again I said I will not be giving them any money...He immediately went into it takes this money for manufacturing, product etc., I reminded him I already have a small inventory. Sarcastically he ask " how many units have you sold"? I responded "not 90 million dollars worth". Then he ask " don't you want to sell 90 million dollars worth of your product? At that point, i reiterated i am *** paying any money and this conversation is over because you are *** me off and I hung up. These people contact inventors knowing we are excited and are looking for a way to get our product out there. It is my personal opinion if a company is calling to license and sell your product they should expect to incur the expenses. To me this is another form of a scam.

This is an update to the review below
This is an update to the review below. I am changing my rating from two to four stars after being contacted by *** from Patents to Retail. First, there were apparently some cross wires with respect to our appointment. I had one day and *** had another. After *** attempted to call and left a message, we exchanged e-mails (my preferred way to communicate), then had a phone call.My previous review correctly extrapolated their business structured and model. Without commenting on that model, it is my opinion that they need to be much, much more up-font about how their business practices are employed, In my conversations with ***, I found no intentional deception, and no evasion. There were no questions *** failed to answer, he was courteous and professional. My suggestion would be that they add a section to their site that provides the process steps, what to expect at each step, what will be required of the customer, what the company will provide, a timeline, etc. They certainly have sufficient experience with projects of all sizes that they could put together two or three hypothetical scenarios to help their customers understand the process, expenses, and time.*** did offer me a contract to develop my product and I am considering it. After speaking with ***, I believe they will deliver on their end of the contract.I was also wrong about the length of exclusivity. According to ***, this is a NON-Exclusive contract so I would be able to go to another manufacturer if I wished. That's an important mistake and I apoloigize."

I was contacted by them
I was contacted by them. After several conversations:They refused to have me speak to a satisfied customer citing confidentiality. They refused to provide me with a patent they have brought to market with electronic components. (mine would have electronic components)Their Licensing agreement is full of holes, obviously slanted toward them. These three points alone should make one weary. If they actually had satisfied customer, I would think they would be glad to have me call one of them. The fact that they could not show me a patent they developed with electronic components means they haven't developed one. Their president likes to write replies talking questions of to comments, but his staff is not responsive to legitimate questions.this is a transcript of several email conversations...: I asked Can you provide me with names of several customers that you have worked with? Secondarily can you provide me with the name(s) of product(s) that you have brought to market with electronics components? You mentioned that the company has over 800 patents, however your website does not have any with electronic components. response:We have brought over 800 products to market. Some products have lifespans. We most certainly can manufacture your product. We have to respect our clients confidentiality. So I am unable to release their names. Our website has some but not all of the prodcuts we have brought to market. I then summarized our conversations i wrote:Let me summarize,You will not let me speak to a satisfied customer, Im sure a satisfied customer does not care if you let me speak with them, confidentiality not withstanding. you cant provide me with a patent you have brought to market with electronics. That seems to mean you have not brought one to market.license agreement does not have termination clause, it needs one. license agreement has a proviso for Licensor reimbursing Licensor for sales promotions etc. that is also not acceptable. There are too many holes in your agreement, and you dont seem to want to discuss any of them.Their response:sounds good...

I was approached by 2 different cold callers, both left messages to return a call about a patent (abandoned 21 years ago)
I was approached by 2 different cold callers, both left messages to return a call about a patent (abandoned 21 years ago). This certainly peaked my interest. After returning the call a date was established to talk to PTR rep. *** great I thought. The rep spent most of the discussion time telling me about his failing health, he kept referring to his health issues as well as claimed to be *** the phone call was being recorded. Thanking him I delayed any decision making until I was more informed and told him to give me a month and call back. I did some simple *** search's, also ***s earth search of address. The 2 address are strangely occupied by 2 different companies with no patictular sign associating this address with PTR, curious right? The non exclusive licensing agreement was pretty straight forward but major curiosity to me was paragraph #5) Terms. PTR will present licensor's product to major retail outlets for a period of 12 months from the date of the agreement. 12 months certainly didn't seem like enough time to do all that would be necessary to put it on the market and even if they were able to do it in 6 months then assuming it's actually sitting on store shelves waiting to be sold I'm looking at maybe a month or 2 of small sales that I would only reap 10%. Considering the simplicity of my product and it's retail value I may have reaped a couple hundred dollars at the most in royalties within that 12 month period. Concerning this possible anxiety I asked the rep to give me more specific data and only got BS about how it was all hard to come up with, too may variables. Considering lastly that the patent was actually abandoned *** I asked the rep about this patictular and he proudly stated "we don't work that way". So what does that tell ya? They wanted my 7K first and then if it actually sold then they would only have to pay me royalties for a very short period of time. I wanted to discuss if the royalty terms were open to renegotiation after the 12 month term was past but the rep. was already *** that I said it all seemed like BS that he hung up on me, OUCH! I guess I didn't make a friend. Good Luck dealing with this bunch, legit? I couldn't say. Professional? Shady Professional, I would say. Don't let the excitement of taking your product to the next level overshadow common sense and research, there's a simple saying " if it smells like a ***, then it's probably a turd!"

I am the owner of Prolong Razor Case and I've been selling on Amazon for about two years. I licensed my patent to Patents to Retail. Keeping in with my patent, they have re-designed a new and improved case and are currently having it manufactured in China. All things considered, they are doing a good job. They have kept me in the loop and they know what they are doing. I am very pleased to be working with them. Will give a followup review in the future.
