Peddle: A Stand-Up Company with Top-Notch Customer Service and Surprisingly Generous Offers
Peddle is a pretty awesome company, I gotta say. Their customer service is top-notch, like seriously great. They're fast and honest, which is a breath of fresh air in this crazy world. When they came to pick up my car that I sold through them, they actually gave me more money than I was expecting. Can you believe that? I sure couldn't, but I ain't complainin'!
I gotta admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. I mean, sellin' a car online? Seemed kinda sketchy to me. But Peddle proved me wrong. They made the whole process super easy and hassle-free. All I had to do was give 'em some basic info about my car, and they gave me an offer right away. And let me tell ya, the offer was pretty darn fair.
Once I accepted the offer, they arranged for a tow truck to come and pick up my car. And let me tell ya, they didn't waste no time. The tow truck showed up right on schedule, and the driver was a real friendly fella. He inspected my car, made sure everything was in order, and then handed me the cash right then and there. I was pleasantly surprised when he gave me more money than I was originally offered. I mean, who does that? Peddle, that's who.
Overall, I gotta say I'm mighty impressed with Peddle. They're a stand-up company with great customer service. They made sellin' my car a breeze, and I walked away with more money in my pocket. If you're lookin' to sell your car, I highly recommend givin' Peddle a try. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it.

Smooth and Stress-Free: My Experience Selling My Jeep on Peddle
I just sold my Jeep on Peddle and let me tell you, the whole process was a breeze. From the moment I started until the end, it was smooth sailing. The customer service was top-notch, the communication was fantastic, and the price they offered was more than fair. I can't stress enough how much I recommend them. If only I had more old cars to sell, I would definitely choose them again because it was just that good.
Warning: Peddle and its "partners" engage in deceptive practices, blaming catalytic converters to lower offers. Read the reviews!
Just a heads up, a lot of the top junk car buyers out there are actually "partners" with Peddle. One of them is Cash Auto Salvage, who will refer you to work with Peddle.
So, after my experience with these vendors, I decided to check out some reviews to see if this was a common thing: offering low prices and blaming it on the catalytic converter.
This morning, I was browsing through Trust Pilot and I noticed a ton of reviews about Peddle that mentioned the tow truck driver inspecting the car and then offering a much lower price, all because of the catalytic converter. I mean, seriously, there are ELEVEN PAGES of reviews on Trust Pilot that talk about their offers being reduced or even cut in half because of this SAME "ISSUE". And get this, it's not just the negative reviews, even some of their 4 and 5-star reviews mention it.
Guess what? It happened to us too.
Dealing with Peddle's recommended pick-up "partner" called Green Towing (***313 2910 Holmes Rd Houston, TX ***) was quite an interesting experience. First, they were really pushy about setting up a pick-up time and date. But as soon as we tried to finalize everything, they suddenly stopped responding. We received two hang-up calls from their number the day before the pick-up, but they didn't leave a message. When we tried to call them back to confirm our appointment, their mailbox was full. We even sent them texts, but got no response. It was only when we reached out to Peddle to let them know that we hadn't heard from the tow company that Green suddenly became all about customer service and confirmed the appointment. And yes, they did show up at the promised time.
Now, here's where it gets interesting. The driver tried to convince us to sell the car for $435, even though we had a quote for $930. He claimed that the catalytic converter wasn't the original one and that even OEM catalytic converters were only worth about $5, so they had to significantly lower the buy price. When I told him that we would accept an offer from a different vendor, he suddenly wanted to wait and call his boss to see what he said (so he "wouldn't have to leave and then come back"). The owner also tried to lowball us, offering slightly more, like $500 something, and then around $600 as his maximum. They made it clear that Peddle wasn't the actual buyer, they were, and that Peddle had no say in the price they paid.
I stood my ground and refused to make a deal until I finally got them to agree on $700. Part of me just wanted to get rid of the car (we had already bought a new one, it was taking up our parking space, and we had an important appointment that day). But after seeing all those reviews on Trust Pilot about this "oops, catalytic converter" situation being a common occurrence with these "buyers" and tow truck drivers associated with Peddle, I started to have doubts.
I mean, ELEVEN PAGES and counting is a LOT of reviews where Peddle's partner drivers are reducing the quote by as much as half and blaming it on the catalytic converter, whether it's aftermarket or not.
I can't help but wonder if this is just a coincidence or if it's actually a deliberate, widespread practice within Peddle and its "partners". They offer a great price that beats most of the competition, show up, "inspect" the vehicle, blame the catalytic converter for being aftermarket or missing, and then lowball the offer.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a class action lawsuit in their future. At the very least, I think it's worth reporting this to my state's Attorney General's office, as well as the offices of the tow truck driver, Peddle, and any other businesses involved. I'll also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and leave reviews on [redacted], Trust Pilot, Yelp, and other platforms to warn others and gather more evidence of this practice for future legal or regulatory actions.
This whole experience has left a really bad taste in my mouth. I hope that $230 was worth it for them.
Just to clarify, I've sold cars to other vendors in the past and never had any issues with getting the exact price quoted. No fuss, no haggling, no problems. That's why I definitely won't be using Peddle in the future and I won't recommend them either.
The only reason they're getting 2 stars from me is because they did show up and towed the car on a flatbed as requested, and they paid in cash.
