Fraudulent
It is hard to believe a fraud company like Pediatrix is allowed to operate in 2024 modern America. In 36 years, they have been the worst and most shady company I have ever dealt with. 7 full months after our child was born, we received a very vague and scam looking letter with no information, just stating we owed about $900. We had never even heard of this company at this point. All of our other hospital bills had been paid many months before. We continued to received phone calls and letters, but never with any information. I was forced to use my health insurance's Health Advocate program just to get Pediatrix to proved more information. The information was for a doctor that apparently was visiting our baby mysteriously EVERY SINGLE TIME neither my wife or I was in the room. Neither of us had ever even heard of the doctors name or ever met a man by that name. We have no way to fight against this scam company. We have already filed a BBB complaint, but Pediatrix just keeps stating they have documentation showing their doctor was seeing our child. They have already received over $14,000 from the insurance company! They are the worst. Avoid them at all costs. Before having a child at your hospital, you need to ask if they do any outsourcing with Pediatrix. We have a credit score of 770+, but now have been turned over to collections. Be prepared to have your cell phone called repeatedly as well. How are they allowed to operate as a legal company?
Recommendation: Stay away from them!
This place got a bunch of call centers and peeps who do billing, but they be chargin' for stuff they ain't even done
This place got a bunch of call centers and peeps who do billing, but they be chargin' for stuff they ain't even done. They go by Mednax too.
They keep bothering us even though we already paid everything
They keep bothering us even though we already paid everything. And to make it worse, they don't send us any bills for three whole months and then suddenly say we're 90 days late. If you're looking to get ripped off and constantly charged, then Pediatrix Medical Group is the way to go!
They be double billed me for two separate incidents, both months apart, for bills I already paid in a timely manner
They be double billed me for two separate incidents, both months apart, for bills I already paid in a timely manner. I had confirmation numbers and bank statements as proof. I now have creditors calling me for a bill I paid over 1.5 months ago. I have a newborn and don't have time to keep correcting their mistakes with billing. They need to fix their billing system because there's a communication break down somewhere.
I'm so mad at Pediatrix Medical Group right now
I'm so mad at Pediatrix Medical Group right now. I had my baby on 9/12 and I never heard a peep from them. Then I got a call from some collections people about a $95 charge. I never got a bill, a call, or an email. So I tried to call Pediatrix, but it was hard to get through. When I finally did, they said I owed over $600! But when I asked my insurance, they said it was only $35. What the heck? I don't even know what these charges are for. Pediatrix is so careless and they don't even send out bills. Ugh.
I had to renew my card to pay for services from Pediatrix Medical Group
I had to renew my card to pay for services from Pediatrix Medical Group. They sent us 19 letters about it, even though we already did it online. They kept calling us to pay, even though it was already done. We called them back to pay, but they said our account was fine. Why did they keep calling and sending letters? It's harassment. They're terrible at their job. After reading other reviews, I'm not shocked.
The service was good and professional, but the customer service was not so great
The service was good and professional, but the customer service was not so great. The billing side needs some work. I have really good insurance, but I got three bills on three days in a row. It was so confusing! I used a service that wasn't in my network, so I waited for my eobs to check my payments. I paid $7 and some change with my debit card, but then I got a *** two weeks later for the same amount. Today, I got two phone calls from unknown numbers with no voicemail. When I called back, it was about the same $7. The person saw that I had already paid, so they need to stop harassing me!
This place is a total rip-off!
This place is a total rip-off! They don't deserve any stars at all. We had a kid born at Bon Secours St Francis Hospital in Mitlothian, VA last year. After a few months, we got a bunch of bills, most of which our health insurance covered, and we paid all the ones we were supposed to. But now, a year later, we find out that our account has been sent to some collection agency for some charge we never got a bill for and didn't see on our insurance. We're not paying for something that was billed directly to us without any insurance claim or notice. I've seen online that lots of people have been scammed by these guys.
I had some bad experiences with Pediatrix Medical Group for the medical billing of two of my three kids
I had some bad experiences with Pediatrix Medical Group for the medical billing of two of my three kids. Their bills don't have any descriptions of the services they provided, no descriptions of the provider who gave the services, and only an ID number and amount due. They keep changing their payment URLs, and their return address PO boxes also change a lot. They keep telling you to pay online, but it's not easy when they keep changing everything. I have good insurance, so they helped me with all the bills I got from Pediatrix. If you get bills from them, don't pay until your insurance tells you what's going on. Pediatrix is a bad company, and they should be closed down for their bad billing practices.
Pediatrix charged me $750 too much, I paid it thinking it was right
Pediatrix charged me $750 too much, I paid it thinking it was right. My insurance company said I only owed $38, so I called Pediatrix. They said they'd give me my money back, but I waited two weeks and nothing happened. I called again and they didn't know what I was talking about. They said they'd keep my money until they checked if I owed anything else. That's not fair! I asked for my money back, but they didn't call me back for two weeks. They said they only answer calls, not make them. I complained to ComplaintsBoard.com and a boss called Chris said they were reviewing my case. It's been six weeks and she hasn't said anything except "it's in review". Now they're sending me more bills and won't give me my money back because they think I owe more. They're not allowed to charge me too much, but they did. They're not giving me my $750 back. Chris can't even call the review department. This company is bad and won't give me my money back.

Medical records / discharge notes
I appeared at their Kissimmee location at 2:pm eastern time roughly on Saturday 5/26/2024. I urgently explained that my son Luca DeLeonardis might have been prescribed an epi pen or a Auvi-Q pen. I told them that I do not have the discharge notes from when Luca was last seen on 05/07/2024 because his mother refused to provide me needed medical documentation...

- Pediatrix never sent the invoices to me or my wife
- That's because Pediatrix had our infant son Rowen as the responsible party and had no address, phone number or other means of contacting him
- Similarly, Pediatrix never sent their invoices to our insurance company because our insurance is in our names, not our infant son's name
- Having Rowen as the responsible party prevented the bills from being adjudicated and our insurance never received the bills
- As a result, Pediatrix never made us aware there were bills in Rowen's name, they simply sent them to collection
- Invoices in my name and those in my wife's name are being paid
We understand from Pediatrix that since the invoices are now in collections, the bills need to be resubmitted to our insurance provider.
Desired outcome: Pediatrix needs to resubmit their bills in my name -- Travis Brinster -- not my son's name.
Pediatrix Medical Group bills sent to collections and I've never received them
I delivered my son on July 1, 2021 at Innova Fairfax Hospital. Months after I cleared all bills, I stared receiving collection notices from the FCOA for an alleged bill due to Pediatrix Medical Group. Never heard of them. No idea what the bills are for. I've never received a bill from Pediatrix, and FCOA is refusing to provide information over the phone of via email despite my explaining that I no longer live at the address on file. I've provided several mailing addresses and have never received a written response. The bills are for approximately $1700 and were sent to collections without ever attempting to bill me directly and without proper procedure on what they're for.
Desired outcome: I want a full explanation of services, a document showing my signature where I accepted the charges/service, and proof that I was billed.
We received a bill from Pediatrix for service in September 2023 regarding the birth of our child
We received a bill from Pediatrix for service in September 2023 regarding the birth of our child. It was clear from the bill and insurance EOBs that they had not billed the secondary insurance as well as the primary (both were provided to the hospital that contracts with Pediatrix). I called them up, provided them with the secondary info and was told if there were any issues they would call. A few weeks later, we received a call saying that the secondary insurance wasn't in place at time of service (it was and remains in place) and sent us a "past due" bill. We called the secondary insurance and they had no record of Pediatrix submitting a claim (and we never received an eob for one), but that we definitely were covered. We asked secondary insurance to call Pediatrix and clear things up, which they did while we waited on hold; secondary insurance told us they again provided Pediatrix with the secondary insurance information and Pediatrix put the account on hold while they sent the invoice for re-processing. Today we got another call from Pediatrix, and, guess what, they claim the secondary insurance was not in place; *there is still no record that they ever actually submitted a claim to secondary insurance(no EOB, no record of a denied claim, nothing provided by pediatrix so we can follow up with insurance, etc.). If we owe Pediatrix money after insurance, I'm happy to pay. If my insurance *actuallydenies a claim, I'm happy to work with my insurance and Pediatrix to make it right. *Beforeany of that happens, though Pediatrix has a contractual obligation with my insurance provider (if not legal and ethical) to actually bill all relevant and provided insurances, and so far they've refused to do that.

I gave birth almost a yr ago. Everything paid in full by insurance. This week, I got letter from Pediatrix (never heard of). Says they provided services for my child during recent hospitalization. How do they define recent? Took 11 months to send something? Thought it was scam but googled it. Sounds like its at least a messed up billing company. Anyway the letter says charges were declined by my insurance. Account balance says $0. PVA number means nothing to me. Doesnt state patient name or DOB. Primary insurance on letter is wrong. It says State of ***. *** is secondary . Says to update insurance or may receive bill for account balance (which, again, says $0). Does not make sense. Freaking out after reading horror stories from other customers who had hits to credit scores without any prior knowledge.
Date 02/07/2023 I was there because my OB referred me to them. They did an ultrasound and the doctor just went in 1 minute and said everything was fine, and that was it. But now they sent me a bill of $1,305.98. I looked at their statement and was shocked because just an office visit and ultrasound cost a total of $3,553 ( Adjustment and insurance payments were $2247.02). I did exactly the same ultrasound at an imaging center and only had to pay $150. I called their billing department and told them these charges were way too much and I was not given an estimate before seeing the doctor, but all they said is the amounts were charged correctly and nothing they can do about it. If they gonna charge patient this much, they should give them estimate and have them prepare for this. I saw many doctors before and did multiple imaging, but none of them overcharged me like this, their charges did not make any sense.
I spoke to one of your representatives and provided a valid *** number few months ago. I submitted today the *** number through your website www.pediatrix.com/insuranceform. The account number is *** and I would like to receive confirmation that this is taken care of.
My son was born nov 2021 and everything went perfectly. Now 17 months later Pediatrix is billing under my son's name for $1000 for care we never received. I spoke to the company and was told that for the last 17 months Humana has been kicking back their claims and codes. Now finally they billed under a code that stuck...under my son's name who didn't even have insurance for the days he was billed. I was told by Humana that my son's care falls under my insurance for the first *** further. This seems to be a common factor with this company and I'm livid. What a horrible way to treat families.
We were seen by a specialist for my daughter
We were seen by a specialist for my daughter. They ran a few short tests and then suggested another test for peace of mind, which was quick. No cost estimates were provided before advising or performing any procedures. We received a surprise $2500 bill for a precautionary test, which was ineffective due to her being a baby. The doctor consulted another colleague, as nothing conclusive was found. This seemed like a scare tactic for unnecessary tests without transparent billing, and no response to our queries. After receiving the high bill, I called to discuss it. The representative mentioned escalating the issue and the option of self-pay, which was never presented to us. They promised a follow-up that never came. I sought contact through their online portal in June 2022, but no one reached out. Later, we received a final statement notice with a bill marked 31 days overdue as of 1/14/2023, indicating they acknowledged an issue but didn't resolve it, instead letting it sit until sending a new bill. Calling the number on the bill leads to a routing loop and eventual disconnection. The local office's calls go to voicemail. This is unacceptable. We assumed the issue was resolved after six months without correspondence. ID# is

I have been receiving bills from them for over a year and a half for the birth of my daughter. Every time, I call them, I tell them the bill is wrong as it has no insurance information and it has me as the patient instead of my daughter. Every time I call I am put on hold for over 30 minutes and eventually told that the supervisor needs to do something and they will call me back. Never have. They say I need to email them information, but the email address they provide doesn't work. They now want me to mail sensitive data to a PO box to potentially resolve an issue they created. I am being forced to jump through hoops because they messed up. They won't correct it and are coming after us for money we should not owe because of their mistake.
Received multiple bills from Pediatrix-obstetrix medical group after I delivered my son 10/13. The correct information is on it however it only had a url to an insurance form with no further explanation. Found number on *** and was told they did not have my account number on file. I called the hospital billing and professional billing and questioned if I had a balance and/or they needed my sons *** information. They stated I was all set. I continued to trash these bills until recently when I received a new itemized statement with more information but with a number to a line that has no medical group name and unable to speak to representative. They only direct you to pay with automated system. The site on the new bill is also just for bill pay. It looks bogus with a QR code to scan directly to bill pay also. The last to build Ive received have two different addresses on it and a separate one to mail your check. Both letters have different account number also. I would like them to stop sending letters but I will continue to trash them when they arrive. I will not give them my sons information. Thanks.
Received a bill regarding our daughters birth several months after the fact for over $2,000 from Pediatrix for a provider that never saw our baby. There were no complications with the birth and we were in and out of the hospital quickly. We have tried contacting Pediatrix repeatedly to get an explanation of the high charges and were not provided any additional information and were promised someone would call us back which never happened. The charges associated with the *** codes listed are very inflated as well.
My son was born in November in ***. Per *** insurance laws, my son is not only covered under my name for the first 30 days of life, but I also signed him up for coverage of his own starting on his date of birth. In October 2022. 11 MONTHS AFTER HIS BIRTH, I received a letter from this company stating I owed them almost $3,100 dollars. I had no idea what or who this company was. After calling (and not getting many answers until the fourth person I spoke with) I found out it was for my sons hospital stay after birth and the pediatricians that over saw his care for the three days he was admitted. I have now spent the last 5 MONTHS trying to get a resolution as to why they are not billing my insurance correctly. I have done three way calls with my insurance and them, where my insurance has told them they are billing it incorrectly, and have told them exactly how to bill it. I have yet to receive a resolution, instead I continue to get the bill sent to me which I should not have to pay as I and my son had coverage at the dates of service. The company is very rude to speak with, and each time I call I get transferred at least 5 times even though I have asked for the exact department I was told to ask for. Each time I get that department I am told either no you need so and so, or that they are only in at certain times and to call back then. I call back at the time I was given, for the person I was told I need and am then told they cant help me and I need so and so. Clearly myself and my insurance will never get through to them and I have seen many complaints through the ComplaintsBoard.com already regarding others that have this same issue. Please any help would appreciated!
I had a baby in February 2022
I had a baby in February 2022. In May, I received a letter from Pediatrix that our insurance was denied and we owed $2252 for services rendered on my son's birthday. I called because I knew they had the wrong insurance as my son wasn't on my insurance, but my partner's and he had been switched over a week after birth, so it covers from the date of birth. I gave the correct insurance information to the billing rep that I was transferred to and hoped that would be it. Instead, I have received 4 letters since saying the insurance was denied and every time I have called to check which insurance was run and they continuously run the original instead of the updated account I've confirmed with them several times already. We have confirmed with the insurance provider that they have not received any billing from Pediatrix. One Pediatrix rep told me, after I asked for an invoice number, that since it's denied, there is no invoice and the insurance provider wouldn't have those records, but that's absolutely false. There should be some number connecting the bill to attempts at charging and the insurance company has records of denied claims. Another rep said whomever is running it through the insurance isn't looking at the notes on file to see the corrected insurance information and keeps running the wrong one. I have just received another letter saying it was denied again. I'm sick of going in circles over this because Pediatrix's system and/or people can't update insurance information correctly. It has been 5 months of them being unable to be organized and coordinated enough to get this fixed. If it wasn't for the fact that the hospital I gave birth at uses this company to handle their pediatricians, I absolutely wouldn't have become involved with them at all because they're completely incompetent.

Pediatrix Medical group has billed me $1,392. I delivered my baby at *** and have paid all related medical bills for the delivery. This random bill from a company I have never heard of appears for $2,892. It took weeks to get a hold of someone and for them to run my insurance. The balance was $1, 392 after "insurance and adjustments." Then, all the sudden I get several calls in one day attempting to collect their payment with an additional $500 tacked on for some service my baby supposedly had. I was not told about this separate billing at the hospital or that by having any certain procedure or treatment done to my child would result in a separate bill from an unheard of medical group that I can find barely any information on. Now they want me to pay and I do not even trust this is legit. I feel this is unethical business practice as I was not told by them or the hospital this separate billing will be a result. I am ready to take legal action against this company if this is not resolved. ID number
Today I received a $17k bill from a company Ive never heard of, Pediatrix. There is nothing itemized in the bill that makes sense. The first date on the bill was two years ago. They claim that insurance paid some portion and that I owe $1029.48. I do not believe I owe this bill and would like it resolved.
2/1 Our daughter, ***, was born on 2/1. More than a year later, we received this bill and letter from *** of *** representing Pediatrix Medical Group with a *** from *** (attached). Our daughter's birth was covered by our insurance Cigna. When you reach out to the 888 number no one ever answers. When searching online, it seems this is a scam. It doesn't make sense we would receive a bill more than a year later and no one from the hospital or our insurance can explain the bill and have instructed us not to pay.

My daughter was born 1.5 yrs ago and (12/30) Pediatrix had sent me two letters just a few months back, asking for insurance information for my daughter and claiming that I may owe them for services rendered. I called and spoke with multiple people who were unable to verify any billing/account information foryself ory daughterbbefore finally speaking to one individual who stated that the letter was no a *** and not to worry because I may not owe anything. Today I received a *** indicating that I have under 2 weeks to pay $973.00 for Hospital and Birth (the day after my daughter was born 12/31) as well as discharge day fees. When I spoke to my insurance company (Cigna) they indicated that they did receive a claim for the pediatrician on discharge day which I do see as well under my claims online in the insurance portal. This is still a disputed charge for me as my daughter was in the room with me and did not have a NICU stay. I had a normal vaginal birth with no complications. From what I can tell all hospital services for newborns are covered by Cigna and Pediatrix is within network. This extra $683.00 charge for *** hospital and Birth has not been sent to my insurance company through claim of Peditrix to Cigna and seems to be an attempt to grab money from us for services that should otherwise be covered under my daughter's plan. I also wonder how it is legal to contact someone for services that were rendered over a yr ago. Is this legal? It would have been believable had I seen a *** months after her birth but being billed now 1.5 yrs after her birth feels as though there is something fraudulent happening here. I would like this billing issue to be resolved and this claim needs to be sent to my insurance company so that they can decide what is covered and what is not by the "services" they provided. Acct

I received a bill in the mail by a creditor named Pediatrix. I was confused because it was the same amount billed under my son's medical account when he was born, which I made a payment plan for. The payments started collecting in November 2022 through the medical account. Then, I began receiving collection statements from Pediatrix asking for the same amount to be collected! My last payment for this account is this month, February, and I have receipts to prove it. I would like for my bill to be resolved since I paid on this account BEFORE they started sending me statements.
Went in for an Ultrasound in the office at Summit Medical Center. Upon arriving, we were told that they no longer took our insurance (BCBS). Being that my appt was scheduled immediately after, I had no choice but to use their office. We were assured that if we filled out a certain form and sent to insurance, that most likely they'd cover 70%. Later, we were billed for the full amount ($1500) which was sent to collections. Called the ultrasound office, explained the situation, was told to pay the in office amount and the rest would be cleared. Paid that amount, and still getting notices from collections. I can't get any information from anyone, at any office. Whether it's ultrasound, insurance, or collections. Had we known this would be the situation, we'd have walked out and never went back. I've been getting the runaround, and would like some resolution based on what I was told in the office. Now my daughter is born, and I've got right around $5000 worth of bills total, and it's almost unbearable. I'm not working, and only able to operate on my husband's income for the time being.
Pediatrix Medical Group sent me an invoice for a service that allegedly took place 1.5 years ago with a provider I never saw and listed the Hospital name that hasn't been used in several years. The hospital changed it's name after I went there. I have contacted the hospital and provider they listed and they have no records. This is a scam.
Pediatrix Medical Group billed me for alleged services provided to my baby when she was born. The alleged services occurred between 10/19/22 and 10/23/2022. I was not provided with an estimate of cost or fees prior to these services nor was I made aware these services were separate from the hospital. This directly violates the No Surpise act put into effect in 2022. When I have tried to resolve this issue with their representatives I am always redirected and no one can provide me with any help. I have also been hung up on several times. They have failed to be transparent and failed to ensure their providers are honest and transparent. This company needs to be held accountable.
My daughter was born 12/9
My daughter was born 12/9. She ran into some issues after her first 24 hours of life so we were transferred to Children's and admitted to the *** Because of the nature of her issues, we were technically seen in 3 "different" hospitals according to billing. We qualify for financial assistance through Children's to help cover her stay, therefore we qualify through any other associated bill. This company only sent us 1 bill. I told them about the *** and they asked for a letter of approval from Children's, to not pay the bill while they reviewed, and wait for a response. I emailed it while I was sitting on the phone with them. Before reviewing the letter, they sent me to collections and closed my account. When I got the letter from collections I immediately called PMG and they found 2 accounts for us. 1 was attached to the *** letter that was never reviewed. They pulled me back from collections to review the letter. Crickets. A few months later they send me another bill. I call and ask about the letter. She found more accounts attached to my daughter. I explained the letter, but she said she couldn't accept it since that was for another "account". I email the letter again. She said not to pay the bills and to wait why it was reviewed. Again, crickets. Then another collections letter. I immediately call PMG and explain for about the dozenth time the situation. At this point she finds ANOTHER account for us. She said she could use the letter I've already sent in twice to apply the , and to wait to hear back. Still no word about qualifying on any of the other accounts. My daughter has now turned one and I just barely get a Final Notice bill. Still no word on , no previous bills since I last talked to them. This is a complete joke! I can't imagine what they put people through on the daily. A little communication and competency is all I ask for.

My daughter, born on June 7, 2022, required hospital care but faced billing issues.
My daughter was born on June 7, 2022. She was premature, so she required 4 days of observation in the hospital before we could take her home. She did not receive any special care or surgeries during this time. All of our bills were correctly submitted to our insurance provider, United Healthcare. We promptly paid our bills. Then, in August, we received a bill from Pediatrix Medical Group for $6394.53, with no insurance adjustments. We were unfamiliar with this provider and unaware of any treatment they provided. Our Explanation of Benefits from United Healthcare showed Pediatrix billed insurance but lacked documentation. Despite multiple requests, Pediatrix has not provided the necessary documentation. United Healthcare is willing to accept the claim with proper documentation, but Pediatrix has not complied. They have repeatedly billed us and sent the bill to collections. We believe Pediatrix's actions are predatory, fraudulent, and violate the No Surprises Act.

I received a bill in the mail from Pediatrix Medical group about August 30, 2022 for $795.34 asking for immediate payment
I received a bill in the mail from Pediatrix Medical group about August 30, 2022 for $795.34 asking for immediate payment. I paid the bill on 09/10/22, five days later I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance company letting me know my portion of the bill was to be $37.38 and that $757.95 was a discount/reduction and my provider should not bill for any balance over what is allowed. I contacted Pediatrix on 09/16/22 to alert them of the paperwork I received, I spoke with someone named *** who after a long hold determined that I had incorrectly been charged $757.95. She said someone would reach out to be in the week and i would be refunded. I didn't hear anything and reached out again on 09/28/22 and spoke with *** who had no idea what I was talking about but also agreed I had been overcharged. I asked if she could give me an update once she found out more by the end of the day, I did not hear from her. I reached out again the next day and spoke with *** who told me they are an incoming office only and do not make calls out. She also agreed I had been overcharged and said it would take *** weeks for review. The same day I reached out to the office, Providence Maternal Fetal Medicine, who performed the services and spoke with their billing MA, ***, she put me in touch with their billing supervisor who also agreed I had been overcharged and had a meeting the next day with someone who could help. She said she would call me with an update in a few days and its been two weeks and I've heard nothing. I attempted to call back *** at the *** office and left a message asking for an update. She had not returned my calls. Everyone agrees I was overcharged and its out of their contract to charge for any balance over what is allowed. My responsibility for this bill is $37.38, I am entitled to a refund of $771.76. I have been working at this for one month and no one will call back or provide an update.

Pediatrix Medical Group sent my family a bill for a medical exam my daughter had performed in March , account ***
Pediatrix Medical Group sent my family a bill for a medical exam my daughter had performed in March , account ***. This exam was in my benefits to be paid by my insurance. After calling numerous times insurance *** Blue Shield) told PMG they would cover the bill if they changed a code that was incorrectly processed. Neither company would change their stance about what the code should be. During this dilemma, PMG threatened to send the bill to collections and to keep it from making a hit on my credit I went ahead and paid the bill out of pocket. The ordeal was finally resolved in September after I appealed with BCBS and they adjusted the bill and paid the bill to PMG. Since September I have been trying to get my money back that I paid out of pocket to PMG. April 2022 PMG told me, yes there is a credit in my account and they would send a check the issue is they are only showing a credit for the insurance adjusted amount (approximately 1/3 the amount I paid) not the full amount. I have called over 10 times trying to get them to refund the full amount to no avail. The person of contact has been ***. She says she has asked for this issue to be resolved since April 2022. On June 30, 2022 I received a check for only the adjusted amount. I deposited this check ONLY FOR IT TO HAVE BEEN RETURNED TO MY BANK AND RECEIVED A FEE FROM MY BANK. Their customer service has been absolutely ridiculous and has not resolved a single thing. They threaten to send me to collections within 3 months, knowing my insurance was going to pay the bill, but here I am a year after BCBS resolved the issue and I have not received a dime from them. Not to mention them sending a check, signed by *** that was ultimately returned and costing me additional money. I have made zero headway with them and it has gone way too long. I have never had to go to this length to make things right with a company.

The date of service was November 14 & 15, 2021
The date of service was November 14 & 15, 2021. I received the first invoice Dec 2021. I notified them that payment would be through the VA & the bill should be submitted to them. I provided my authorization number given from the VA and the mailing info. Unfortunately it is January *** invoices for the 2021 service. I have spoken to them numerous times, sent in a copy of my VA ID, driver license, and VA letter with the authorization number but they still keep sending me the invoices. They called me today 2/3/23 asking how I will pay and I told them again for the 50th time that payment should be submitted to the VA. It has been OVER a year I have been dealing with this incompetent company and I have been telling them the same thing over & over again. ALL the other providers submitted their invoices with the same authorization number & received their payment but Pediatrix Medical is the only one that can't get it right. After speaking with the VA rep it was determined that they never received a bill from the group with the dates of service and the requested amount. They again gave me the information on where they should send the bill, & what information needs to be on the it and also provided a number to give them to call if they have trouble or questions about submitting. I called Pediatrix back & requested to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor (***) proceeded to tell me that I needed a new authorization number the one provided will not cover my child. So after 365 plus days have gone by this company now decides to tell me that a new authorization is needed! A new authorization will not be given. One number covers all the maternal care and child for 7 days which was part of the d.o.s! I asked the supervisor if they even sent the bill into the VA. She replied NO! Because they have to verify coverage first. What is the freaking verification process?! They can't pay the bill if you don't send it to them!

A check was made out to Pediatrix Medical Group to pay in full the balance they had for medical services rendered in 2021
A check was made out to Pediatrix Medical Group to pay in full the balance they had for medical services rendered in 2021. The check was not applied to the account but applied to another account I had been unaware of at the time under the company *** Anesthesiology (possibly also known as North *** in Anesthesia, LLP). My guarantor ID was the same for both bills. I was not made aware of the outstanding balance for American Anesthesiology until last week. On Thursday 7/7/2022 I called American Anesthesiology to pay the amount in full as I had recently learned of the ***. Upon that call, I was told the account had received a partial payment in March and the rest of the balance was sent to collections. As I had been unaware of the *** until that time, I reviewed my bank records for the amount they said had been paid and saw the only check for that amount had been the one sent to Pediatrix Medical Group in late March. The following day I called Pediatrix Medical Group to confirm they received the payment, and was told they had not and the account had been sent to collections. I asked why the payment was not processed as it had been sent and cashed, and they told me it had been applied to the American Anesthesiology *** since that was the only account showing at the time the check was received. I asked to speak with management and was told they would review the account to see what transpired and get back to me. They called me today 07/14 to notify me they will be unable to make any adjustments to how the payment was processed. The supervisor acknowledged the check stated it was for Pediatrix Medical Group and is unsure why it was applied to the American Anesthesiology balance. I wish to have the billing corrected and ideally pay the balances in full with both Pediatrix Medical Group and American Anesthesiology instead of the collections agencies, who have not notified me they currently have these bills in their collection agencies.

I gave birth to my son in November and several months later, received a notice that this business was sending me to collections over an unpaid bill for services rendered by one of their providers at the hospital. After calling the company, I found out that they didnt send the bill through my insurance, BCBS Anthem, which would have paid it in full because I met my out of pocket maximum for the year. They claimed that they did not receive my insurance information from the hospital (although all of the other providers were able to obtain it and submit proper bills) and that is why they were going after me directly for the full amount. They confirmed that they had the insurance information on file from my older sons birth in March , which was the same insurance company and number. I gave them my insurance information and asked them to submit a bill to my insurance company, per proper procedure. They advised me that they would do that. They did not do that. They sent my account to multiple collection agencies, who have been harassing me, demanding that I pay the full amount of the bill. Again, the company did not bother to submit the bill to my insurance company, and they didnt even give me the reduced/contractual price that BCBS would have paid had they properly submitted the bill. They have not given me any documentation showing me that they submitted the bill to my insurance, despite multiple requests. I work in the insurance industry, so I know that as a covered individual, I am not supposed to pay the full amount, as there is a contracted price negotiated between the insurance and the provider and the provider is supposed to submit the claim to my insurance first before they seek any recovery from me. I simply ask that Pediatrix follow the proper procedure and stop trying to collect the full amount from me without going through my insurance. If the insurance does not pay due to untimely submission, its on Pediatrix. They had my information on file.

I started receiving obstetric services at Perinatal Medical Group in ***, which is associated with Pediatrix Medical Group, in October . I was advised by the physicians from this group that I would require biweekly ultrasound exams due to having a twin pregnancy. I followed the physicians instructions and received ultrasounds as they advised. From October to March , I would receive several bills for these ultrasounds showing my outstanding balance after insurance payments and adjustments had been made; I would pay these bills in a timely manner. The charges for the services provided seemed very high, and I was charged twice for each service due to having twins. I delivered my twins in March . Several months after the delivery of my twins, I started receiving bills with an outstanding balance of over $2,000 for services rendered in January . I contacted Pediatrix Medical Group and my health insurance care coordinators with MyQHealth to obtain information regarding my outstanding balance and charges. I have made calls to both parties dozens of times now. On multiple occasions, I was told that the outstanding balance was incorrect and that insurance claims were still being processed. I continued to receive bills with outstanding balances of thousands of dollars. At one point I was told that Pediatrix did not acknowledge the insurance claims that had been processed, which resulted in me being sent a bill with a balance that was more than the amount I owed after insurance adjustments. I was receiving final notices but also being told by Pediatrix Medical Group representatives that my account was on hold while they were sorting out the processed insurance claims they had missed. It is now November 2022 and the issue is still not resolved. What I am being told by Pediatrix Medical Group representatives regarding my account and outstanding balances is inconsistent. I want to pay my balance but I also want to be sure it is correct.

In September, I gave birth to my first child
In September, I gave birth to my first child. As much joy as the event brought it also left a very distasteful experiences when it came to my daughters care. Upon delivery my baby was in great health, on the first night around 3am nurses came in and asked if they could take my baby to give her a bath (very medicated and exhausted from nurses coming in every 30 minutes I agreed to let them take her). Amazingly no one else came in between that time and the time that I woke around 7am. I find that my baby was never returned and was submitted to the Nicu bc she became jittery during her bath NOT A SINGLE NURSE CAME IN TO LET MY HUSBAND AND I KNOW SHE WAS SUBMITTED TO THE *** I found out when waking and having to call a nurse into my room to ask where my baby was at! My baby was kept in the nicu for 3 days yet was in perfect health (this experience was extremely frustrating for my husband and I). Aftermath, bills start coming in. We received our normal delivery bills and now on top of that we received a separate nicu bill from pediatrix medical group (for a nicu stay THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED! I am absolutely disgusted that we had to go home without our baby because she became jittery during her bath and was never consulted about the matter until I HAD TO ASK. With the excessive amount of bills that came I asked if we could have any financial help with this particular bill bc we could not afford to pay this on top of our other hospital bills. I was told we could have a 20% discount but had to wait until our claim was finished processing. After a few weeks of waiting and the claim being completed I called back and tried to pay the discounted amount that was previously discussed. NOW, I am no longer able to have a discount because in the weeks that passed THEY DECIDED TO CHANGE THEIR POLICY I asked to have the policy change documentation sent to me to which they could not provide. I am now paying over 2k for an unnecessary nicu stay. I AM DISGUSTED!

I received a **** for prenatal care totaling $3241.04 due May 1 and paid in full
I received a *** for prenatal care totaling $3241.04 due May 1 and paid in full. My payment posted May 10. Shortly after, I received an updated *** for $4335.95 (for both the earlier charges and additional services) dated May 10 with a letter stating, "In appreciation of your loyalty to Pediatrix Medical Group, we are offering you a 30% pay in full discount if you can pay your payment balance in full within the next 15 days of this offer." They printed the new *** and letter without considering my payment. Applying their offer to the total results in $3035.16, or $205.88 less than I'd paid. I called to confirm I'd have 0 balance, but was told the letter didn't apply to the statement it came with but only the unpaid $1094.91 (the letter itself does not suggest this) and that the offer was only valid until 8pm the day I called. I complained and was told someone would call me back. I called again that afternoon and spoke to ***. He told me he'd file a complaint with the billing office. I heard nothing from Pediatrix again until they mailed me a past-due *** for $1245.27 (for the remaining balance and yet additional services predating the others) dated Feb 16, 2022. I called again and spoke to Cassy and then *** on Mar 3, 2022 about the ***. *** told me my account would be put on hold and zeroed out. Today, Mar 31, 2022, Pediatrix notified me by call that my request to dismiss the *** because I'd already paid the discounted amount had been denied and that I owed the full $1245.27. I spoke to a supervisor *** who reiterated that the letter had only applied to the unpaid balance and said they could no longer offer any discount because of how much time had passed. My chief complaints are that, had I waited until after May 10 to pay, they'd have been satisfied with even less than I've already paid them and, further, that their promised discount only expired because it took so long for them to consider my request or to send another ***.

My son was born on 12/31/2022 at a specific time and place in a certain city.
My son was born on 12/31/2022 at a hospital covered by our insurance. We later received bills from Pediatrix Medical Group totaling over $2000. Despite requests, Pediatrix won't provide detailed itemized statements. They charged out-of-network rates at an in-network hospital. Two charges were adjusted under the 'No Surprise Act Write-off.' I've questioned the partial adjustment, as the entire amount should be considered a surprise. Pediatrix hasn't explained this and refuses to send detailed bills, which is our right. They've sent 3 of 4 accounts to collections, which I dispute. I need an itemized invoice and correct billing as per the law and my insurance.

Our son was born at a local hospital in early December
Our son was born at a local hospital and stayed for 18 days, from Dec. 17, 2021, until Jan 3, 2022. He is covered under my wife's insurance from her workplace. We received a bill from a medical group based in Michigan for daily doctor visits during his stay. We were unaware of this company and the reason for billing. The charges were for daily visits by a doctor. I was preoccupied as my wife was in intensive care, but I noted the doctor's visits were brief. It wasn't until the third visit that I was informed of my son's condition. The medical group billed the insurance $22,028 for 18 visits. The insurance paid most of it, leaving us a portion of $4,490.67. This seemed excessive. The insurance explained that the medical group was an independent contractor they hired. We were not informed about this arrangement. The insurance company's response offered no relief, citing network policies and deductibles. We had not been informed of these costs beforehand, and the medical group also offered no relief from the bill. The high charge for a brief visit seems unreasonable, and had I known, I would have declined the doctor's visits after the third day.
