People magazine subscription extensions
I had missing issues of People since 2017. I contacted customer service thru email. I was given an apology and the subscription was extended till 8/2019. I have not received any issues for 2 weeks.
I was just on the phone with Lisa from customer service, and was asked to call back in 2-3 hours and ask for an account specialist. Why was I told by customer service in 2017 (no name was associated with any of customer service emails I had sent or received) that my subscription would be extended! So I cannot tell who sent the responding email stating that the subscription would be extended.
This seems like People magazine is not honering their word.
I will be calling back to customer service shortly to talk to a specialist.

Missing issues of People magazine and the company not honering their word!
People magazine article on the news app for iphone
On the news app "trending" section there was an article from People Magazine on Ben Affleck returning to rehab. Interested, my under age nephew clicked on the story and there was a hyperlink in the article referencing Ben Affleck's new fling Shauna Sexton. My nephew clicked on the hyperlink, which took him to another People Magazine article displaying a thumbnail of Shauna Sexton in which her nipple is exposed. I am outraged that People Magazine would allow nudity to be published in one of their articles, especially since the statistics show 70% of your readers are between the ages of 16 (underage readers) and 45. We did not think we would have to safeguard children against People Magazine. But apparently, we do. I demand a phone call to discuss this further, [protected]. I look forward to having a conversation regarding this issue, whether it is with People Magazine or the local news.
Snapchat story
I'm really angry with your snapchat article about people who lost weight for a role, i don't understand how no one thought, wait a minute 10 million women and 1 million men have eating disorders in the US alone! So surely putting out something that condones starvation methods for good will trigger somebody to posssibly rekindle old eating behaviours or show someone who is mentally ill that celebs do it for films.
One of the main issues with this disorder is that sufferers don't see the harm and they arent mentally or physically ill when they are.
In CBT the first thing they make sure is making sure you know it's dissordered eating and a mental illness. So putting out on social media that celebrities have ate that few calories a day and are successful and aren't ill and they are loved is going to really influence some young sufferers thoughts.
I'm not saying not to do an article about celebrities loosing weight for a role, but maybe take it at a different angle so it doesn't look like your applauding them for being skinny and severely and dangerously underweight!
You also mentioned that "Lawrence resisted dieting for a role" ... THIS IS NOT DIETING. Do you understand how many young females and males or actually just any one who is easily influence look at the pretty skinny ballerina on their screen and think ooh I'll do that diet and eat 350 calories like Shailene Woodley did.
Eating 350 calories a day is severely dangerous for you body it can stop periods and in future make you infertile, shut down organs, make you collapse, have an extreme change in blood pressure or blood sugars etc.
These celebs would've have doctors help through the process, nutritionists slowly putting them through the process so there isn't just a sudden change and EXPERT help.
Not sitting at home being influenced by a screen and thinking they can do it.
I understand the point of the article, however I do think you should've made it clear on the last page about the struggles and that they would've had expert help so don't do it at home as it's severly dangerous for your body and is not the correct way to lose weight, but can be used for actors as it's carefully watched over and maybe then do an article about the effects this has on the actors or how much help they get through it all not just going on a "diet".
" the impressive feat of will power paid off"
" interestingly I did find that mentally it was very calming being skinny, because you didn't really have the energy for expanding on unnecessary things"
These are just not okay things to put into the article when you have angled it completely inappropriately, I understand the second quote is from the actor himself however it's okay for him to say it and even put it in an article but not with all the brainwashing and un-thoughtfulness that was put into this article before.
( I didn't know what category to pick from the box, so I picked weight loss products and programmes because that's essentially how your displaying it.)
When someone explains to me that they covered the other side to this story to help people or tells me why exactly there wasn't a trigger warning and showing that if you follow these methods it won't be calming it will be condoning mental health habits that can take years to over come then I'll be happy.

Are you joking? You chose to put up an article about how to get a flat belly right after? This is the article you chose to put after all of that?

News story regarding tomi lahren
I just saw a news story flash across an MSN carousel about Tomi Lahren with the headline "WATCH: Fox News Pundit Tomi Lahren Gets a Drink Thrown at Her During Brunch Outing".
I would just like to say, I am completely disappointed that this is considered top news for People mag. You have done nothing but capitalize on the humiliation and mistreatment of a person.
You grace your covers with success stories of people who have achieved incredible goals and human interest stories, but this is a disgrace and out of character for you.
I've always respected People mag and have entrusted it's validity.
The article first features not one but two videos showing the abuse. It goes on to describe the account that occurred at brunch and then completely changes the subject to a news story about Lahren kicking her dog. This is taken completely out of context.
The opinion of the person who wrote this story is loud and clear about Lahren.
I am completely offended that you have found pleasure in someone else's abuse.
I own a dental office in a small town and will discontinue our subscription to your publication immediately. Also, my family has a veterinary practice and medical practice and I will also explain why they should do the same in their lobbies.
This may have no effect at all on your company but I hope that out there in another town, a young woman feels the same as me and will take the same action.
Shame on you People Magazine.
Subscription solicitors
Today, May 5, 2018, PMB Pacific Magazine Billing, LP deceitfully attempted to sell your magazine by sending out advertising that looks like a bill. My 79 year old mother received a "bill" from them for your magazine. This infuriates me. At the bottom of the "bill", in fine print, it states that it is an offer from an independent company, not a bill. Please be aware of these types of practices. It makes your company look bad.
Renewal without permission
My name is Carol Poole. I found a $49.99 charge on my credit card account today, March 27, 2018, for People magazine subscription which I did not authorize. I just spent 30 minutes on your automated phone line trying to get satisfaction, but could not. I was told that it was ordered first on April 7, 2017 and automatically triggered a renewal approval in their system. Are you trying to scam me! I am not at all interested in the information in People Magazine!
Help me get this charge off my credit card.
People magazine - single copy order (international) - urgent action
On 16 November 2017 I placed an order for the January 2017 George Michael Issue of People Magazine.
Order Number P0215726
I placed this order over the phone from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
On 4th December my bank account was charged $6.61 AUD Plus $0.20 AUD (international conversion fee) for the purchase of this copy. Your organisation was paid this amount.
7 weeks have passed and I have not received the magazine.
I have emailed and called your organisation multiple times, including over 100 minutes of international calls but to no avail.
The matter has been escalated to supervisors twice, but no one has followed up with me to resolve the issue.
Effective immediately, I would like you to organise the express delivery of this magazine to my address, as well as provide me with satisfactory compensation for the time, effort and money wasted on trying to resolve this matter.
Please contact me on the below details to confirm the above:

Unauthorized use of credit card
On October 20, 2015, I was reviewing my credit card bill. I noticed a charge for a magazine subscription to People Magazine. Is it the practice of People magazine to illegally charge your credit card without permission of the card holder? I have cancelled my illegal charge and will inform anyone who wants to listen that your business practices are shady! Lose my name, address and DO NOT contact me again. I will also inform Bealls Department store where the magazine was offered. Alison Mays Ref# [protected]
Harrassment for money
Was offered a 6 months free People Magazine which I didn't mind. Never signed or agreed to subscribe and pay for the magazine. Sent them a non interest notice and stop mailing the magazine as I am retired and can't afford to pay their price. I still received a bill and sent them a second and final notice. If they continue harrassing me I will have to report them to the better b usiness bureau for consumers. Pls see that they stop harrassing me. thank you

Credit card charged illegally
At a discount store called Loehmans's I was offered three magazines for free with my purchase. So of course, I agreed and accepted "W Magazine", "People Magazine" and "InStyle". Three months went by and I was still getting subscription. I didn't do anything about it, because I wasn't paying for them, but was still receiving their monthly subscription. Last week, I caught the bill on my cc. "W Magazine" charged me $15.00, "People" charged me $14.00 and InStyle charged me $58.50.
I'm furious, because these companies don't have the right to use my cc info to purchase subscriptions. The whole point of the sales pitch was three months free, not three months free and then 12 months pay. Its a classic case of a magazine scam. Be weary next time your shopping and the cashier offers free magazine subscriptions with your purchase. Its a scam!

Actually what you had was a free trial of the magazines. You probably didn't read the fine print when you agreed to sign up for these. By entering your CC info you agreed to the 3 month trial and since you did not cancel the subscriptions before it was up, they charged you for a years subscription. Learn to read before you sign up for things like that...really...
Never received gift subscription
I purchased a gift subscription for this magazine in November 2008 and just found out it was never received. This subscription was bought through a local high promotion, and the voucher that indicated that I paid was sent as directed, to Magazine Portfolio, PO Box 61383, Tampa, Florida, [protected]. It was only recently that I asked my friends how they liked the magazine (having forgotten that I gave it to them last year). and they responded "What magazine?" Is there any recourse for me? The magazine code was G87UI and the online code was GTO1275611 (Looks like I should have done this online!)
Help!
Thanks,
James Muneio

Paid for product and never received
I ordered People magazine in 11/07 and paid $120.00. After 3 months, realized never received and contacted company. Brian said that this was never received from publisher and that he would resubmit and would also give me OK magazine with it because there was a promotion and I overpaid. I have made probably 20 phone calls, left 20 emails and numerou...
