This complaint is concerning the PetSmart located at 615 W. Herndon Avenue, Clovis, CA. I was in the store on 05/11/24 and s/w an employee "Selena" at the training desk. I paid for Beginning Individual Training with her for a total of $149.00. This was suppose to be broken up into 4 - 30 minute increments.
I became suddenly ill and I was not able to make my first session the following week with Selena. I phoned the store immediately and advised I needed to re-schedule. All I was ever told was that she was not in and I could leave a message. During the week of 05/13/24 through 05/18/24 I phoned almost daily to s/w Selena and she was never in nor did she return my phone call.
I went into the store to s/w the store manager on Saturday 05/25/24 and he is a male "brandon" Maybe (forget his name). I explained the situation to him and he said, "so do you want your money back?" in a very dismissive tone. I told him I wanted the trainer to reach out to me to get my sessions I paid for. He said he would have her call me that week. It is now 05/31/24 and I have heard nothing. I phoned the store this am 05/31/24 and s/w the store manager and I was told that he could not issue a refund to me electronically over the phone and I had to come into the store for a refund. I am beyond furious over this situation. Now I have to waste my time and energy to go into this store for a refund. This is absolutely intolerable from a business this size. If they are not going to provide training to the public, then customers should be made aware in advance. I will never refer or speak in good regard towards ANY Petsmart services.
Claimed loss: Weeks of no response from the trainer or anyone on staff at store to schedule the beginning training I paid for.
Desired outcome: The store manager and trainer (Selena) Need to be held accountable for their total lack of regard for customer service.
