Pettags.com poor quality, bad customer service long wait on delivery

After 3 weeks my tags arrived. It is thinner than paper, flimsy and their customer service is worse. I called 3 times and only got voice mail and left a message. They got back to me 4 days later and were rude and acted like it was my fault. These are not good people and I suggest any other pet tag company.

Stay away from the new owners at pettags.com as they are scammers.

As the owner of pettags.com I would like to post a response to the complaints on this site. We are in our 24th year of business and have sold over 3 million pet owners products over that time period. As for the complaints here I would like to offer all of these customers the chance to be satisfied and all future customers the offer to purchase from us and know we care about you and your pets.

24 years is a long time to be in this business, since Octobet 1987. We are sorry that some people have been disappointed and really hopem they will call so we can make their experience better. Unfortunately in business these things happen. But with over 3 million orders in 24 years we have very few customers not happy. We strive to get all orders shipped fast and always insure quality products while ading new products all the time.

Pettags.com Spam

I bought a tag from them 2 years ago. Since then they have been sending me daily email spam advertising their products. I have contacted them at least 10 times by email and phone to stop the spam. They simply ignore the requests. Hundreds of emails from a pet tag company is harassment.

guys (at pettags) it's not that hard to remove an email address from your list. EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD is able to do and somehow (conveniently) you guys can't? I have asked a half dozen times. This isn't a case of me subscribing under multiple emails - it keeps coming to the same email. I have one pet. She is nine. I got a tag about 8 years ago. It makes me sad to think about the day in five years or whenever that I may need another tag, but I promise you I won't buy it from you guys.

We are pettags.com and we will do everything possible to remove you from our email communications. When ordering just click NO if you do not want to hear about our specials or get our Newsletter.

Sometimes a customer orders with 1 email but tries to unsubscribe from another and that will not work. Just call us during working hours M - F 8AM - 3:30 PM west coast time [protected].

Also we have an unsubscribe button with every email we send. Just click it and it should remove you from future emails.

We have been in business 24 years and want to make all our great customers satisfied so email us at sales@pettags.com or call us at [protected].

When you order at pettags.com there is a question in the checkout page to get emails or not. If you check no you won't get them. Just email them at support at pettags.com with your order number and they will stop sending them. Instaed of filing a complaint just ask them and they will remove you from their advertising, it's that simple.

By the way they have the best products and best customer service available.

Pettags.com Bad customer service

We have been return customers with pettags.com for years for tags for our cats. They send the tags promptly, and haven't ever made a mistake.

However, recently we ordered their personalized breakaway cat collars. When we received them, we realized that the catch on them is too strong, our cats would be unable to break out of them, even the largest cat who is a healthy 12 pounds (the other two are smaller, around 9 pounds). We called to ask if we could exchange the collars for something else, and was told no, nothing could be done, and no, they did not think anything was wrong with the collars, on the contrary, their customers like them, they're top sellers.

We cannot believe this. We are long-time cat owners, and these collars are clearly dangerous. The latch is too too strong, and there is no give in the collar at all. Should your cat get caught somewhere, this collar is likely to keep them right there.

This is not about the money that we are losing in this transaction -- thankfully in these times we both still have jobs, so we are able to sacrifice it. Our concern is for the welfare of our and your pets.

We are also very disappointed in the customer service, especially as the person we spoke to said that they don't intend to look into this at all.

Cat owners, we urge you to avoid these collars. And beyond this, if our experience with their customer service is any indication of how they treat customers who might have other issues, we recommend that you stay away from pettags.com and work instead with one of the other companies out there who might more responsive.

I ordered on line, they took monies from my debit card Oct 26, 2015 and sent a e-mail to them, no response, I would just like my tag or a refund. I picked up there order form at my vet .If this is a scam I would also like to know so I can let my vet know!

Pettags.com Rip-off!

On the website pettags shows tags with large print. I ordered a tag for my dog and the print was so small I (w/20/20 vision) could barely read it. I can't imagine someone finding my dog and being able to read her name and the #s printed on it! When I called the woman I spoke with was rude and said she's been printing (ripping people off) these for 20 years. Even on the ads I received with the tag the print appears larger! To top it off, it was sent with an 's' hook to attach to the collar with pliers--as if my dog will forever have the same collar! Come on, how inexpensive would it be to include a key chain ring!?

Service was bad and shipping time is too long. I ordered couple of items from them and when i click the buy icon, i was automatically charged. Their service was no good according to a posts in reviewsofwebsites.com and a lot of costumers were complaining about the late package delivery. Such a big shame.

The site may be easy to use, but their service is anything but customer friendly. I ordered a personalized collar nearly a month ago and while they charged my credit card immediately, I've yet to see the collar. Takes FOREVER to receive products. I will never purchase from them again.

I just read these commaants and the complainers are out of touch. The S-Hook is way better than a ring as it is stronger. As for the quality, it is great and unless you are almost bling very readable. I have used this company for many years as I rescue dogs and they are first class and very fast delivery.

I recently ordered several tags for my dog from pettags.com. I have to say, I am very pleased with what I got! Not only did the tags arrive quickly, but they look great! I will definitely order from them again, because they have so many choices of great products, and I am quite sure they are a company I can rely on for all my pet tag needs.

I ordered 3 custom dog collars and one cat collar. Within 2 weeks two of the custom collars came apart. I called pettags.com and I was told that they are melted together (I thought they were glued from the looks). I was told to send my 2 collars back to them and they would decide if it was my fault that they fell apart.
I decided not to waste my time and I ordered all 4 from another company that sews the collars together. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! They are cheap because they are made cheap!

Original complaint must have had an isolated experience, because this is far from my experience. I ordered a tag for my dog, and it was mailed out right away. It was exactly what I ordered. I can't speak on their customer service since I didn't have to call them about any issues. I would highly recommend pettags.com. It saved me the hassle and time of yet another errand in my busy day.

pettags.com is a great site, easy to shop and their products are the best. I have been buying there for all my dogs and cats for over 7 years and never had a problem. They have great customer service too. I highly reccommend them. My shelte was a yapping fool before I bought their small no bark collar. It uses vibration, not electric shock like the others and really works.

give this place a shot you'll be glad you did.

Their tags are very cheap, they take two pieces of plastic and put it between foam and don't even explain that in their website. They are very ugly. Why don't they even have a picture of the actual tag on the site? It's fraudulent.

Their customer service is also horrible. My tags were not readable. The letters were cut off because they say you can fit more text on it than you can. I wanted my money back so they said they would charge me $12 S&H to keep them even though I only paid 6$. When I questioned this, they showed me my receipt and proceeded to tell me I spent $6. They're not handicap workers, they're just incompetent. They are absolutely the worst pet tags I have ever seen in my life.

I have never had a problem with pettags.com. I use their site for everything and have NEVER had anything but good products/ fast shipping and awesome customer service! You guys are awesome.

I have been using www.pettags.com for all my pets tags and collars for over 12 years and it is a shame that people have to be so mean as to write bad reviews about such a great company. Only one time I had a problem as the order was lost in the mail. I called the toll free number and 4 days later my order showed up as they sent a 2nd order free even though the post office lost it.

They are a great company and employ some handicap workers.

I suggest you use them.
