Why is Peugeot Northcliff 's doors still open? I have been dealing with Peugeot Northcliff for 10 years & I have never has a good experience there. Often time my car goes in with 1 thing & comes out with other problems. Everytime I go to Peugeot Northcliff I keep being hit on by a sales man named Fred who looks like he is old enough to be my grandfather. I would repeatedly tell him "no" when he asks me on dates but he would repeatedly keep asking until I leave the dealership. He has even had the audacity to ask me for my number. It has gotten to the point where if I have to got to the dealership I look like a criminal skulking around trying not to be seen by Fred because if he sees me he will make a beline for me and haras me until I leave. The other staff has seen & heard his behavior including the manager but no one intervenes or tells him his behavior is unacceptable & unprofessional.
Earlier this year I went & bought oil for my car, when I came out of the dealership there was a man with a really bad attitude standing by my car typing the information on my car's license disc into a tablet, I asked him if he could please advise why he is entering the information from my car into the tablet - he just gave me a dirty, irritated look and carried on. I repeated the question to the man another 2 or 3 times, eventually the man turns to me and yells at me that he is enetering the information into an online cars for sale website so the website can compare prices for cars of the same year and model & give a sale value on the car. I advised the man several times that I don't want to sell my car but he does not give me a chance to finish a sentence because he keeps yelling at me. Eventually he yells at me "Here are your keys! What am I doing here? Why did you ask me to sell your car?!" I told him those were not my car keys but once again he is not listing to me. He then forced the keys into my hand told him again "these are not my car keys & I did not ask him to sell my car" He continued to yell at me why did I ask him to sell my car if I don't want to sell it, I mustn't come waste his time, etc. At this point I stopped listening because I had decided to go complain to management after I bought the oil for my car. Then another Peugeot employee walked up to him & asked him why is he entering the information of my car into the tablet, he told the guy that this he the car he told him to put up for sale but I an interfering, the guy then told him "this is not the car I sent you to, it is that car on the otherside" and then he told him the car model and colour which was not the same as my car. I held out the car keys the guy grabbed them & stormed off complaining. I never received an apology from this man for his unprofessional, rude & disrespectful behavior, he walked past me several times while I was buying the oil but nothing.
Everytime my car goes into Peugeot Northcliff it comes back with damage on the body of the car - dents in the doors, paint chipped off the edges of the doors, scratch marks on the body or bumpers etc. Once I sent in my car for a service & the staff at Peugeot drove my car I to something, I could see the front bumper had cracks in it where the plastic was pushed in and the fender where the bumper was attached to was bent & the paint has come off. Peugeot then tried to cover the damage up by putting another type of white paint over the part where the paint came off but it was not the same colour & the paint came off shortly afterwards - they would not accept responsibility & denied the whole thing. Another time I saw the mechanic speeding (my car has a turbo) & driving my car very wrecklessly up & down Beyers Naude, his elbow out the window holding a cigarette & smoking, he was also only driving with only 1 hand the whole time. When I brought this to the attention of the mechanic's boss he told me the following: he was speeding because he has to test the car (you have to speed to test a service?), he then told me I was wrong & the mechanic was not smoking in my car because it was not allowed, I told the manager I saw him, he then told me that guy does not smoke (he didn't even know which mechanic I was talking about yet), he also then advised me that the mechanic was not driving with just one has - so basically calling me a liar to my face!
Desired outcome: Peugeot Northcliff Frinchase needs new owner & staff.
faulty vehicle and bad service
I bought my 208 in 2013, at the time the salesperson said that he had included an extended warranty/ motor plan on my car, which was signed for, long story short, the went in for a service, and the brakes were replaced, when I got my car back I complained to them that the car sounds like a tractor, and something is wrong, I took the car back to Peugeot and they fixed something ... not sure what, and Peugeot Northcliff said that nothing was wrong with the car, eventually the gearbox packed on 60 000km I approached Peugeot only to find out about the motor plan that never existed and that there was nothing Peugeot could do for me except replace the gearbox at a whopping price, I then took the car to a private garage to have it fixed, upon investigation the technician said that when Peugeot replaced the brakes they never refilled or replaced the gearbox oil, burning out my gearbox, hence it packing up, and when I took it back to Peugeot complaining about the tractor noise, they then obviously refilled the gearbox with oil but overflowed it, I had oil running into my engine, it is now exactly 20 000km later and my gearbox again has packed up, now I ask with tears in my eyes being a widow and a mother of 2 children, what is my rights, because I am sitting with a faulty car, which is confirmed by the private garage who fixed my car, they have confirmed that it is a factory fault, and Peugeot Northcliff wants nothing to do with me, please help or advise as I am desperate. At the time which was 8 months ago when it first packed up I contacted Peugeot South Africa, still to this day have I not heard back from them, now it has packed up for the second time, and still Peugeot SA does not come back to me. I am truly disgusted and disappointed in Peugeot.

Bad service
I brought a Peugeot 107 in April 2016 from northcliff Peugeot, upon receiving the car the Saturday my tyre was slashed and the mag wheel was damaged and the gearbox seal leaked. Send the car back to them they "fixed" the seal and tyre but the car kept on pulling left went to spa quick to check it out taking of the tyre the front nuts where stripped, take the car back the Peugeot to fix that and to check what ells is wrong and fix that to. Got the car back after 5 days but my gearbox is sticky and still leaks oil, take it to a mechanic to check pull it on the lift and there my gearbox seal is damaged did they replace it the first time who knows. The car is back with them again now hope they can get it right and fix it.
