My husband purchased a 5 - qt. Pressure cooker and it has been used not that often, one of the handles broke. So he kept on using anyway. But somehow the pressure regulator was misplaced, and we have been looking all over the internet to try to purchase both items. Guest what all we were able to find was a rating / complain page, oh and where to buy them. What surprises me is that a well know dept. Store as jc penneys would sell this kind of products, that as we can see is of inferior quality, and has no way communication policy. Cindy zayas

I wish I had read this blog before I wasted my money buying the 21 piece Philippe Richard cookware set at JCPenney's in January of this year! The small skillet tips from the weight of the handle, the larger sauce pan leaks at the rivets, the larger skillet does not have a level bottom, and does not heat evenly on a glass-top range. The knives that come with the set are worthless, and the stainless steel rusts. The paring knife blade broke from the handle when I tried to cut a piece of cheese. (Luckily, no injury!) And the rebate card is an obvious scam... the contact telephone number on the rebate receipt is a non-working number. After obtaining the correct rebate contact number from JCPenney the rebate processing center CLAIMED that I had not provided the necessary items with the rebate request... and I had. Finally received a $20 American Express (gift) card that I was able to use to actually buy something of value.
Gave the entire set to GoodWill... bought a BH&G set for just $20 more than the price of the PR set and there is no comparison... The BH&G set is actually cookware!
I bought a philippe richard pan with a glass cover from jc penny, while i used the pan in cooking the glass lid popped and break into tiny pieces.
I used other pots and pans with glass lid but up to now the glass cover is still intact
I think philippe richard should replace me with a improved version
I am another unsatisfied purchaser of Philippe Richard's pans, i thought what a deal these pans were for the price. Boy was i mistaken. When you put the pans on the stove without any thing in them they tip over very very dangerous. I'm sorry i didn't keep the box so i could return them to J C Penney. I don't blame J C Penney's due to the fact that they didn't make them, how were they to know. I purchased mine in September 2011 and i am still thinking of taking them back. Everyone take them back to the store for a refund. Good luck tooilofgladness on your pans, but we're talking about Teflon coated pans not stainless steel.
I am really disappointed to hear so many complaints. I purchased an 8 piece set of Stainless Steel cookware from a major store in 1998, I have never had a problem, LOVE THEM. I went online to see if I could order a stainless steel skillet with the lid, and that is when I discovered the complaints. I will still try to order the skillet.
I also purchased my set from JCP a few years ago and although not the finest quality product they worked fine for the price. But last night when I was cooking pasta I removed the lid from the pot of boiling water and decided I would wash it really quick... The glass lid exploded once I ran it under water. Now I know that the extreme temperature difference may have been the cause but it is a lid to cookware! Should it really be that temperature sensitive? Anyway, I only ended up with small shards of glass in my palm and am very lucky to have not gotten any in my eyes. Decided to file a complaint with the company today and found all of these comments... Yipes.
I was wondering if anyone got their problem with the pots pans an knife set solved I have messed up pans and broken handles off my knives if anyone has advise I am in need for it thanks

Got a 7 piece pot & pan set made by phillipe richard as a wedding gift, the first pot & pan set I've ever had. Within a month the teflon was peeling off into my food. I cannot find a website to write a formal complaint. Very unsatisfied and am now throwing away a nearly new pot & pan set. Eating teflon cannot be safe & after seeing numerous complaints I can't believe this company is still in business.
Got 8 qt pressure cooker for Christmas used 4 time. Now the safety valve is stuck in the up position and it will not go down. Can not use cooker! Ugh!
I was given a set of these pots and pan as a gift from my honey, stainless..so far not really any problems with the craftmanship of them.. the handles get really hot while cooking, and if you boil anything and try to add like pasta or rice to them...they immediately boil over..the skillets proclaim to be stick free...I cant even fry an egg that it doesn't stick like I'm cooking it in super glue. Glad he did not pay an awful lot for them. would rather have another set but am happy that he did what he thought was an admirable thing.
What to do with pans that are peeling
Bought an 8 quart Philippe Richard pressure cooker about 2 years ago and only use it occasionally, perhaps 10 times total, now the safety valve broke, the seal is gone so it does not pressurize. I called their customer service number [protected] and was told they do not make a replacement part for the safety valved and it is not covered under their "life time warranty", the only option is to buy a new lid for $18+. No guaranty that the same thing would not happened again, the representative did not really want to hear my complain, just cut me off and told me that is all they would do. Terrible product to break down with so little use, lousy customer service, it is a shame that JCP and other retailers sell this lousy badly made product.
I purchased the ten piece red cookware set from jc penny outside of me not receiving my rebate after sending requested proof / documents, but importantly the silver handle burn your hand once pots and / or. Get hot. For the amount of money i paid to have to use pot handle is not only unsafe, it's also. Dangerous! After reaching out jc penny in reference to rebate and. To inquire about the danger of me already burning my hand. As per others jc penny was unable to assist me. I did have better experience with some of there orher cookware, but this is beyond out radius that customers are able to resolve issue that the manufacturer may or may not already know. This really not good business ethics !
I got a 9 piece set at Bergners 15 years ago and am just now having a problem with one piece. Am looking to find the same set I got back then because they have been the best pots & pans I have ever used! Sad to see all of the complaints ... wondering if they are not made by the same people they used to be made by.
I am not sure when I purchased the Phillipe Richards Tea Kettle. The bottom started to get hairline cracks. I called the Tele Number from the reviews as listed here on the date 28th of Oct, 2010 by Smallbrook . After reading the review I was expecting the worst. I had Luz customer care representative assist. She had the kettle which was a floor model. She could not have been more professional, helpful and sincere. The kettle was replaced immediately. I am sorry to see some bad review on this site as my situation had a positive outcome. I guess I got the angel in the company. Luz Rocks!
Thanks,
Andrea
We purchased a pressure cooker from walmart and used it once. The second time using it the pressure cooker leaked everywhere and was making a lot of noise. What a waste of money. Very disappointed...
I purchased their coffee mugs from BJ's for the christmas holiday. i hardly used them only when friends and family comes to visit. Last Saturday June 14 I took one of the cup and started pouring hot water in it to make a cup of tea when all of a sudden I heard a crackling sound and the cup split in half and the hot water splashed onto me giving me second degree burns. I did not even filled the cup to the rim before it exploded. It started cracking from the bottom like a sink hole and fell apart.
After much research I finally got a website to inquire about replacement parts. Here is yhe list of parts and phone number to call, as well as the email to contact
Shirley Smith
Please see attached Pressure Cooker parts list. I also attached pictures of some of our pressure cookers to help you determine which pressure cooker you have. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me email or [protected] X 1430.

its cheap stuff, cheap price, you got what you paid for and what you deserve. I have some of these crappy pans, you really have to take care of them well, first don't leave them soaking, it will pit or rust. wash and dry it. if its the cast iron stuff, season it right away. Philippe Richard is not quality cookware, and you can't abuse it like all clad or lodge. You have to baby them. But with great care, it can last you a few years or a lifetime for the cast iron. remember, nonstick cookware should not exceed medium heat, so be patient, its cheap stuff! Not duralon, circulon or calphalon!
I purchased the 6 quart aluminum pressure cooker. This is NOT my first or only pressure cooker. I purchased it as a second one in case we wanted to cook meat in one and veggies in another. What a piece of crap CRAP! First, it leak's, not a lot but that concerns me. It leak's at the top. Then as it got hot, it started screaming, not chugging like it is suppose to but screaming, I thought it was going to explode. I took it off of the stove and did the quick cool down and it made the horrible sound as it cooled and again, sounded like it was about to explode. I have the book which has the website www.ttustore.com and send an email, with a read request. After it was read, I resent it because I got no response. Someone did email me back and I don't know where Alejandra got her info but the told me straight up that they would NOT replace it.
I have had my 8 quart aluminum pressure cooker for about 4 months. An I just love it. No problems at all . Seals great . Works like a charm.
Wow, sorry to read all these complaints! My mom got me the stainless steel cookware set, and I've never had any problems with them! Just trying now to find a replacement pot because my husband scorched the one I have (big dummy). I've had my sent now for 6 yrs! Maybe people just don't know how to take care of their cookware?!
I bought the 6qt pressure cooker, used it four times and was making some pinto beans left them on for 25min-they were not done put some more water in put the lid on and in about 4or5 min the thing BLEW-UP ya blew about 2in. of the seal out. Glad I wasn't near it.Blew it clear off the stove and all over the place.
I bought a 6-7 piece philippe cooking pot set; put them in room temperature storing so when my old set not related to this brand, wore out I 'd use them then. First time using them I ended up duck taping the handles on two of the pans-one a fry pan and the other a cooking pan- and now I notice that another dutch cooking pot the handles at also cracking as the other pots plus the strainer that has never been used over heat. Some more duck tape.
I need to know how I can get a replacement or my money back over 3 months since I bought the pressure cooker and two separate occasions it blow up on me this is ridiculous I'm not new to pressure cooker so I know I lock it safely this have some manufacturers problem please this is unsafe and unsafe and unfair
I brought a streamer from JCP (place of purchase) a few years old and only used a few time...went to use it this past weekend and it has rust spots thought out the pot and the steamer...
If this was is what your products does I will not purchase about one.
Very disappointed
I bought a 8 qt pressure cooker from walmart.
It blew up on me. Lock wasn't working properly.
I am sitting in the ER to fix my burned chest leg and hand
Telling myself that I will never buy the cheap brand pressure cooker again.
I bought the 4 qt. received the 8 qt as a gift, the smaller worked twice and then the gasket split, the replacement gasket split the 3rd time I tried to use it, the larger one doesn't hold any pressure at all. Buy a Presto or Mirro they last your lifetime. junk cookware not engineered correctly nor milled to any quality control.
Tabletops Unlimited Fraud Allegations

I was so concerned about my Philippe Richard pots turning dark after a few uses ( thinking there might be lead in them) that I stopped using them.
Please Do NOT purchase nor receive as a gift the 6 Quart Philippe Richard Pressure cooker! The gasket is defective and will not work but a couple of times. The first time it exploded I came into my kitchen only to notice that the contents of my pot was now all over my floor, ceiling and stove. I thought maybe I'd not put the top on completely but with the design it wouldn't have locked into place if that was the case. So I didn't use it again until six months later and as I heard the pressure releasing the steam. I lifted the cooker and placed it on another face top because I have a glass top stove and it would have kept cooking if left on the hot eye. Then boom the pot EXPLODED all over my chest, face and arm, The lid landed on my thigh and gave me a third degree Burn. The other Burns were second degree. It's been 8 months and my scars have healed and settled so now you can visibly see the scars and exactly where I've been burned in my chest and the spot on my thigh have turned black. Be aware of this Exploding Tin bomb.
I also have a complaint about Phillips Richard’s cookware. This is in regard to their 8 inch nonstick skillet. They make it impossible to find their customer service number. The only info that I was able to find is. a Facebook page. Try posting a couple of times asking about the customer service # and have not heard back from anybody. Don’t buy their cookware because if you run into problems you are not going to find support.
