My parents called Plumb Tech to fix their leakin toilet. They did a great job and it only took 1 hour. They replaced the $5 gasket and only charged them $700. Who is worth $700 an hour? Lets take advantage of old people.

I called Plumb Tech 'cause my sump pump was backing up into my house. They came out on the same day to check it out and gave me a quote. They came back the next day and fixed the problem real quick. They were really professional and knew what they were doing. They answered all my questions honestly. The final price was exactly what they quoted me. They didn't try to sell me anything extra or do any unnecessary work. I highly recommend them.

Plumb Tech came to my daughter's house to fix a clogged outside pipe. He came and started cleaning the sewer line with a tool called an eel. Then, he put a camera down the clean out to see what was causing the problem. He said it would cost $399.00 to use the camera and eel the line. I agreed, but I mentioned that it was a lot of money. When he finished, he gave me the bill, which included a service charge of $138.00. The total came to $604.00, and he was only there for less than half an hour. I told him that this was outrageous, but he just shrugged. He also took pictures of the house and said he would give me an estimate for fixing the pipe. He promised to send it to me the next day. It's been two weeks, and I'm still waiting. It seems like they only care about taking your money and then forgetting about you. To sum it up, they were very expensive and not reliable. Darcy.

Kudos to Plumb Tech for overcharging. When I asked for a breakdown on pricing, I was told "we price for the job." $3 HOURS LABOR ... APRROX $200 IN MATERIALS... AND $2,000 Bill. That is $500.00 dollar an hour. If you use them, expect a subjective price to be pulled out of thin air. Only company I know that does not use a shop rate. I was led to believe it was a difficult job if it can even be done. Told upfront it was going to be 2k. I assumed it was going to be a hard job... might include overtime. I was under pressure to accept as the previous plumber was a no-show. They did get me out of a jam. But once the drywall came off, it was easy enough to do the job. If it wasn't in a condo where licensed plumbers have to do the work as a layman, I would have done it myself. I asked for a breakdown on pricing. I was refused. I was told "you're just upset because we did the job fast." My reply "no... I'm upset cause you took advantage of the situation and made the job sound difficult when it wasn't." The job consisted of 6 feet of flex pipe for hot/cold. Drain pipe approx 6'. Shuts off ... wall recess for washer dryer. Hook into existing plumbing through bathroom wall. My basic takeaway.. . Quality work... professional plumbing company... but unethical pricing, undue pressure on the customer. Only time in my life that I received an invoice with just the total. You live and learn. I would not recommend this company unless you have deep pockets. My biggest regret is not looking at the reviews where people hit 1 star before calling.. Cause their experience is pretty accurate to mine. After leaving a review on *** respond by saying plumbers were there a full day. He lied. They were there 3- 3,5 hours. Plumbers arrived after 12. Began work at 12:30. They finished by 3:30 pm. He also phoned irate at my review and accused me of slander. Then he turns around and lies?

I had a problem with my outside house pipes (eavestrough to storm sewer pipe) and Plumb Tech came on Jul 29, 2021. They did a camera check on the pipes that I was worried about. They spent around 30-40 minutes checking three pipes. Here are my complaints about their service. 1) They didn't give me a video of the work they did. When I asked about it later, they said they didn't record because I was there with them. But the truth is, while I was with them, the plumber didn't fully explain the video he was watching. And as a customer, I have the right to have a recording of the camera work. 2) They charged me $687.04 for 35 minutes of work. I was really desperate, so I agreed to it. But other Chatham services charge only $150-$200 for the same thing. This company takes advantage of people and once they get paid, they ignore you.

The owner said he would come out on a recent Tuesday to look at it. When asked in 5 separate texts to get back to me with the time, he never got back to me. I had a full overhaul of plumbing done on my small mobile home back in the winter of this year, at a cost of $7,100. I have been experiencing clogging sink issues for a few weeks now in my kitchen sink. When I initially contacted him, I told him I assumed his work was guaranteed and would like someone to come out and see why this is happening. He booked a Tuesday two weeks ago and was supposed to get back to me with the time. After texting him back 5 different times asking for the time, he continued to not respond. Even when I said I had no other choice but to file a complaint, he still never responded to my texts. It is very disappointing to have been treated this way and I think it is not my responsibility to go and seek out another plumber and pay out more money to fix a problem that should not have been happening after such a full overhaul already.
