DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS. First they sell parts that are not genuine but ‘similar to…’ i.e. Kohler etc. parts. The ‘similar to’ parts do not fit and also leak. When I sent it back they said it was not defective even thought they never installed it themselves on a Kohler to find out. My plumber has installed hundreds if not more of these parts, I think he would know. Junk parts for the job! Do not use their parts. You will not get your money back as hard as you may try. I was told that since the parts bags were open they could not be re-sold…. Now how do you install something without opening the parts?
Maybe they think I will let them keep the part and then they can restock it. Seriously we are not talking a lot of money here it is the principal. I guess I am just accustomed to better business people. The item is defective; they should return it to their manufacturer and not aggravate the customer. These guys are nickel and dime fools. Take your business elsewhere – Buyer Beware!
Wow do you have a horribly ugly sense of entitlement.
Let's look at this company first... they've been in business for a long time, offer a large number of plumbing products (and do a great job of breaking down Kohler toilet parts with schematics and etc) and have a personality with their website by offering up quotes, personal pictures, and customer feedback. Now let's focus on the Kohler toilet parts... it appears that they offer genuine Kohler parts as well as "will-fit" parts. Could it be that you went on the cheap and ordered a "will-fit" instead of a genuine part? Did you really only "open" the parts bag? There seems to be a few holes in your statement that you are withholding to really get a full idea of the entire situation.
Sadly Trubill, you are a part of the problem with this country. People we need to be accountable for our own actions and admit when we've blown it.
Many products received were not as listed on the web site and they make excuses and if you then return you have to pay postage both ways and their 20% restocking fee. One item I returned has $2 postage due ... my error ... I contacted them and refused to accept the return and deduct the postage due from my credit. The post office then shipped back to me, had to pay the $2 due, plus add the postage all over again.
They make returns very difficult, even when the product is not the same as their web site or what the call "an eqivalent replacement".
in reference to the comment written by " libel-defamation" first of all I have never seen a business so sorry that they respond by attacking a customer that had a bad experience with them in public on the internet! I don't know any of these folks involved buut the comment written here is obviously by the company plumberssupply.com and to stoop that low to attack a customer instead of working with them to make the product right, tells me all I need to know about this company. The guy never says he is entitled to anything except a part he ordered needs to work, and that is what your company is supposed to do, right? sell parts that work and if not refund the guys money...He is entitled to that much. Second he never said he just opened the part he said it leaked after he installed it because it didnt fit, so it was the wrong part refund his money, that is what a business does. They dont come on a public site and attack him say he blew it and all of that garbage. Anybody that reads this exchange should learn very quickly that this is a company you do NOT want to do business with for any reason. Glad I read this before I ordered my products, what a sorry company
I ordered a part for an American Standard toilet. It was close to $300. I installed it. It leaked. I had to call a plumber. He said in his 17 years he never had an experience like that with a part (fill valve) that leaked. I returned it. They deducted 15% restocking fee. They should have refunded my purchase price. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
High prices, outrageous restocking fee, incredible lack of diversity of staff- no black folks, few brown people, which I find hard to believe for Chico CA. (https://www.plumbingsupply.com/welcome.html). for bathroom hardware I'd go elsewhere, don't know about any other gear they sell.
Had to replace control Bd on York gaspack, PS charged double the cost of online for york part, online a Honeywell exchange board was less than $80, Beware the upcharge, do your homework!
