PNC Financial Services Group processing paperwork

I am two months behind in my mortgage because of decrease in my income and because of a high increase in medical expense. I sent the paperwork to PNC and am waiting for an answer. I receive a knock at the door. It was a man who works with PNC or he is contracted out to take pictures of the homes in the pre-foreclosure process. I was told to call PNC. I told him that I have my documents in with PNC and am waiting for an answer on my forbearance.

He told me that PNC is backed up in paperwork and that there are people who have modifications done but are still having to deal with him because PNC has to catch up on everything. He said to expect to see him 4 to 5 times before PNC catches up on everything.

I sent emails to the White House, my local representative, Senate and House committees on Finance and Banking. It is said that were are trying to work out ways to save our home because of the economy or bad luck, but the banks gladly took our tax dollars when they were bailed out.

Once my loan is brought back current, I plan on getting rid of PNC. My old mortgage lender, National City Mortgage, handled my loan in a much better and faster way then PNC is doing.

With so much going on with these banks, I suspect a class action lawsuit is not too far off in the future.

Well I am suing PNC formerly know as National City as my mortgage that was done through NC was found to have mortgage fraud in the documents that now make that document VOID from the day it was signed. I had my documents audited by a Certified Auditor and neither can my mortgage be found anywhere in any of the servicing pools. steve@endlessfrauddetection.com helped me get the investigative paperwork that my attorney needed to fight my case. It has now been found that a person who signed an affidavit against me has 2 social security numbers and their name has been found a list of robo signers. Opposing counsel is not real happy with the investigative research we have done and has no clue as to the other piece of investigation paperwork we have and are waiting to slap him with, that shows that the party he claims has a claim to our property can not be found to be able to back that claim up. People need to have their mortgages audited so they can prove the fraud in the documents, mine was also found to have accounting errors that had we paid the full 30 years would have paid almost 50, 000 more than what we should have. We must make these banksters pay.

PNC Financial Services Group thieves

I accidentally used my PNC debit card (rather than my VIST debit card) when checking into a hotel. The hotel cancelled the transaction (almost $500.)
However, after 1 full week of back and forth with the bank and the hotel, PNC is still holding that money as a 'pending' withdrawl and it is unavailable to me. The hotel has sent them one fax after another confirming the cancellation. The bill was paid in full with my VIST card.
They will not give me anyone who can help me. Their only response has been to wait it out and it 'should' come off the account soon. I will be overdrawn on the account then they will charge me those ridiculous fees! This is stealing! How can they get away with this? I am sending formal written complaints to anyone and everyone I can find. As of this writing, I still don't have my money back.
I will be looking for a new bank tomorrow. They are negligent, unprofessional and they steal from their customers! Buyer Beware!

PNC SUCKS!

Yea, I've had an experience with PNC on overdraft fees. It just seems like after taxpayers paid billions to them that they would be more customer friendly. Unfortunately, most large banks including PNC like to F@ck people coming and going. And hopefully there will be a time where they all we be hung and we can watch them dangle and twitch.

I feel for anyone who has tried to obtain a loan modification from PNC Mortgage! I looked everywhere and all I saw was "If You Are Having Trouble Making Your Mortgage Payments-Contact Your Lender" (including PNC Mortgage's website). What a joke! We contacted them in April, 2010 and told them we could no longer afford our monthly mortgage payment of $964...

PNC Financial Services Group stay away

PNC's Home Modification program is nothing short of a Nightmare. After losing my job, being diagnosed with fibromyalgia and having 2 kids in college PNC advised us to apply for a loan modification. At the time ALL of our payments were current and we were told we would have an answer within 3 months. After a year of paying our agreed upon reduced payment we were denied. Although we income qualified at the time of our application my husband now had a second job. The position is perdiem and not guaranteed income. Despite this fact PNC counted it against us. Furthermore they lost our paper work and required that we resend the same documents 4 times. They failed to communicate with us and told us several times they had everything and we were in final review. When we called the next week shockingly they were missing documents. Letters were sent to us weeks later and we were placed on hold for an hour each time we called. We asked them on several occasions if we were in jeopardy of losing our home and told NO. We feel that had PNC handled our application in a timely and professional manner we would NOT be in this situation. We are now in bankruptcy but signed a reaffirmation with PNC. Prior to this experience we had Excellent credit and could have refinanced at a much lower rate.

They are now seeking over 5000 from us the difference of our full payment and our reduced payment. In addition they have hired Steven Baum's office and are starting a foreclosure. We feel like the program is a TRAP. We paid monthly in good faith for the entire year. No where in the agreement did it say we were jeopardizing losing our home. Had they told us up front we would have NEVER gone through the process. We have three teen age daughters and six pets. Our youngest is in tenth grade and now in jeopardy of leaving the school she has attended since kindergarten. Our home was new construction in 2003 and our 2.5 acre wooded lot is now a park like setting. Our life's savings is in this home and PNC is aware that we have equity. We believe that is why they are trying to take our home. The entire process feels predatory in nature.

Hopefully this will help someone out there. Our attorney just notified us that a Chapter 13 will stop the bank from foreclosing on our home. While a last resort, If PNC continues to refuse a re-payment agreement with us this is our next step. Best of luck!

I suggest that you call or file a complaint online with the Comptroller of Currency. They sadi rarely do homeowners follow through. Which is why banks like PNC can get away with this unethical practices! We have since hired an attorney. Should PNC move to a court proceeding, we will bring a counter suit against them!

I have the same identical story too the tee! I was not behind and asked about a lower interest rate advised to apply for modification. My income fits criteria. After 3 month trial they advised me to pay modification amount because they weren't done deciding. After 9 months of paying trial period I got a letter to pay 6, 800 or foreclose. Then the kicker came 3 months after that stating I had to pay escrow past and future and my payment is now 2, 500 a month I'm screwed!

PNC Financial Services Group hope no one steals your card

My debit card was cloned. This means someone takes your numbers and makes a new card with thier name on it to use. It was used 4 time in one day and I caught it the very same day and called to cancel the card and report the fraud. They gave me a provisional credit on the 4 charges and told me they were mailing paperwork to fill out for my claim. 4 days later they took the money back and the next day I received a letter stating the charges were valid. To top it off, they charged me $7.50 to replace my "stolen" card. Ummmm...no. The charges aren't valid, and they have yet to explain to me how they validated them since 3 of the 4 were at the same gas station on the same day and guess what... I never pay for gas with my debit card because I have a company car that is ONLY gassed up with the company fleet card. It's been a week. I call every day while they "look into it". Meanwhile, I'm cashing out the 156, 000 points I have and switching to a credit union.

I believe you 100% I have been going around and around with this bank about a simular fraud. I knew something was wrongg but I could not put my finger on it because they were getting me every which way the could. I didnt know where to look first. They have totally cleaned out my entire Social Security Settllemnt. They list me going to the atm machine sometimes as many as 11 times in a row. Mind you I do not have a car, didnt get a chance to buy one. I assumption is this was done from inside the bank because they figure that it would be imposible for me to prove that I did not withdraw my own money because as they say I "gave someone my banking information because the only way you can get funds out of the atm is with a card. I only had one card and 1 thing is for damn sure no one was breaking in my house stealing my card running around town using it and then comming back and putting it in my wallet. I requested a computer printout of all my supposedly atm withdrawls so that I could get an idea of what time these withdrawls were occuring. Guess what ? Not one of the withdrawls on my original statement appeared on that computer printout. After finding that out I requested everyone of them since I opened the account because i have all of my originals from day one. I was promised by Kimberly Carolan that she would mail them out to me on the day we spoke but no later than the following day. This was 3 weeks ago. I have seen nothing in the mail and she wont return any phone calls although the voice mail claims they check messages every hour and will return all calls before the end of day. This is the longest day in history. The one thing I know is they got "The Right One" because if they think for one minute that I am going to let this go then they are saddly mistaken. They have caused me to almost evicted because i was forced to move, they have damaged the credit I was working so hard to establish and I have had gas and cable turned off in the dead of winter and have had to result to asking other people for help somedays just so my son and i could eat. I waited 3 years for my disability settlement and in a matter of 4 months they have cleaned me out. The statements are so poorly doctored that its insulting. I plan on exsposing them at every oportunity I can. MY next stop is to the media. I am gonna make sure they face the local news here in Detroit on whats called the Hall Of Shame and I am going to call Fox 2 problem solvers. The only reason I have not presented them with a law suite is because I dont have the money to pay an up front lawyer fee. If there is anyone who will help me by taking this case on a contingent basis I would really appreciate it. Even if I dont get a lawyer on contigent basis I am gonna get the money some how because there are Theives in that temple and they are going to pay for what they have done to my life.

PNC Financial Services Group refinancing mortgage

We refinanced our mortgage with PNC. Please do not do this if you are thinking about using this bank. The customer service is horrible. We started the refinancing process 2 months before our bank (formerly National City) changed over to PNC. We filled out the National City paperwork only to have to have to do the whole process over again on PNC papers. We were ready to close when Aryin (our mortgage rep.) called to inform us that we would need to take over $400 to the title company the next day because the loan was not written as she had explained. (We were assured that all closing costs were covered under the National City version and Aryin said that would be the case with the resubmitted paperwork.) Today, Aryin called to inform us that we need to submit an additional $68 because they did not have the correct homeowners insurance information. This information was submitted to them at their request. PNC either failed to request the appropriate paperwork or to review the information they were given.

PNC Financial Services Group late fees

PNC will not remove late charge ($29)after their billing dept. failed to send me, not one, but two billing statements, stating it was my fault. I have received all my other credit card bills, except for this one, maybe the mailman made a mistake, but two months in a row, I don't think so. I will cancel after they receive my payment. Bad business, equals no business.

It could be the mails fault. When you didn't get a bill did you call right away to find out why? Nope you just thought since you didn't get it you didn't have to pay. Why don't you grow up and take care of your obligations and quit blaming other people.

You know that you owe a payment to them, so it's your responsibility to make that payment on time. Don't blame it all on them because you were too lazy to whip out your checkbook or go online and make a payment.

PNC Financial Services Group processing fake checks

This is very important information for all PNC Bank customers! Listen up...
I am recently a PNC Bank customer, of course right after National City became PNC a few months ago. Well on August 3, 2010 I checked my account online then to come realize that I had a balance of negative 2, 599.00 dollars on my account! I was totally chocked because 2 days before that I had only $11.00 in there and of course I would have never made out a check towards that amount. So right away I viewed the of the check scanned and it was a PNC check with a total fake signature that did not belong to me!... So I call the bank right away to have them check out my account and tell them that I never in my life authorized a check for that amount and that the check was totally fake, because I have never even received PNC checks at all since I still have National City checks in my possession. Not only that but this check had the wrong information with out the new PNC account...
After I get out of work I got to my PNC branch and make another dispute and show the printed copy of the processed check and tell them to solve the fraud going on my account. The banker told me that I will receive a letter in the mail that I will have to send back and that it will take 10 days from that day. So the next day I checked my account again and I see that the bank gave a credit for that fraudulent check so my account was not negative anymore... but wait a minute right above that I see another check posted for the same amount, $2, 599.00 dollars out of the account making it negative again! After this other one went threw and actually posted one more time and then again I only had $11.00 on my account! WOW... I called the bank one more time and went in there again that day, but again all they can do is wait for the investigation to go threw, but other than that I did not understand why PNC was still letting these people cash fake checks for so much money when the available funds were only as little as $11.00 dollars. Before anything else happened I asked the bank for an affidavit that the police station needed for me to go ahead and file a full complaint towards this situation. But the bank tells me that they can't give that paper because of their recent bank change and blah blah blah... So there I was waiting for something to be resolved, without no right for an affidavit to make a police report and exposing myself to more fraud. I could not believe that the bank will actually let this happen, but other than that let their employees get away with stuff like this, because I never lost my information... this had to be an action from one of the PNC bank employees or someone with great power working for this company.

Today is August 19, 2010 and I waited with much patience and finally yesterday I spoke to a person from the corporate office in the fraud department that told me that the person who is handling the investigation for my case is currently in vacation but that it was OK now for me to go and close the account and to get the affidavit from the very same branch where I asked the very first time if I can get it and never provided to me. So my total purpose for this is to have everyone be careful with all Banks or should I say PNC bank... This is a situation to be concerned about and to start realizing that there is people within the same bank trying to get away with serious things like making fake scanned checks and approving them. I am still going to the police and I will point out that they should investigate the very own bank and all the movements inside of it, because they might be the ones trying to steal from their very same customers.

I just wanted to explain a couple things that I hope will help you understand the check process. First, a check for any amount may post to your account no matter how much money you have available. This however does not mean it has been or will be paid to the bank the check was deposited to. Such as in your case. The check posted to your account on the 1st day, the nsf system decisions the item to pay or return depending on funds or nsf points on the second day, and on the 3rd day, if the funds were not available, the check is returned and the credit posted back to your account. During this time, the bank where the check was deposited to has those funds on Hold until they receive the funds from your bank...which they wouldn't have. While on Hold, the owner of that account can't touch a dime of it because there never where any funds. This is why when you deposit a check it takes a couple of days to clear, sooner if the check deposited is from the same back only. Second, check fraud is unfortunately very common. It's easier than most think to have your bank info stolen. Remember...every check you write has your routing & account number right on it. So, let's say you write a $10.00 check to a supermarket or to Walmart...well now the cashier/store employee has access to your bank account information. And printing counterfeit checks is even easier. You can go to any office supply store and buy them. They take these checks and with a home computer, print any info / account numbers they want on them.
I don't think a bank employee would have done this to you. I mean, they have access to view accounts that have thousands or even millions, so it would make more sense to use an account that you know will pay out, right?

PNC Financial Services Group worst bank ever

I though Comerica was bad. PNC absolutely is worse than Comerica. Excessive fees, slow money transfer from accounts, poor customer service.

I honestly don't know how they got so big. They are terrible. I have never banked with a bank this bad.

PNC Financial Services Group customer service

The PNC "auto check re-order" system shows on-line that I have 47 checks remaining before the system will send me new checks. I currently have 15 checks remaining (verifying this using the cleared checks through the account with a wonderful service rep via phone and on line).

I said that clearly you can see that I do NOT have 47 checks remaining until re-order based on the sequence of cleared checks on-line versus the "ending sequence check number" of the previous order received!

The solution! I had to request them to turn OFF the auto reorder system, wait 3 days, and call back (through the wonderful automated phone system again), and have it turned back ON.

How's THAT for customer service!

This is only one example of the terrible customer service from PNC over the past 3 months. What a JOKE!

Due to a banking error (on the part of PNC), my checking account was overdrawn and charged $300 in overdraft penalties and fees. I went to my local branch and sat down with a clerk, and he couldn't find at any point where my account should have been overdrawn. He quickly agreed to deduct all overdraft and penalties on the account, but he had to have the manager sign off. After 10 minutes, he came back sheepishly and said the manager said my account didn't need to reflect that it was overdrawn because PNC had corporate "records and rules" and if they said it was overdrawn, then it was overdrawn! The clerk then suggested I "stop overspending" and go to our local Advance America short-term lender and borrow the money (at 391.71 APR) to bring the checking account current! I was speechless! I went back a second time to actually talk to the manager and when I told her I felt PNC had essentially stolen my money, she indignantly said, "I am offended!" I calmly said, "Any offense you are experiencing is minor compared to the offense I feel at the theft perpetuated by this bank from its customers." Beware of PNC; they are nothing short of criminal!

PNC Financial Services Group ridiculous drafts

Our account was set up with a manager so that there was not a $500 cushion and if our account would fall below $0 the debits and checks were to not be paid. Before we did this we would get hit with fees as my husband would not always notify me of his transactions and would cause the account to be overdrafted --- so I had it stopped.

Now, my husband wrote out a check to someone for $500 without telling me. Well that person went directly to the institution to withdraw that money. The teller could see that the funds were not available and instead of telling the person the funds were not available the teller cashed it. In the meantime on that same day 18 transactions were scheduled to clear, and guess what all NSF'd causing over $600 in fees, when tried to clear it up not one person would assist us or agree that it was their fault and get it straightened out. So we handed them our debit cards and said close the account we will not do business with you. Well they left it open causing more fees and still not willing to work with us. I was willing to pay for the monies that they paid out on plus one over draft, totaling about $200 not the $1, 019 it ended up being. Now tried dealing with the collections, all they would do is cut the cost by 50%. I offered to pay $250, they said no. Well it was the banks error not mine, the funds were not there they should not have cashed the $500 check. Now I am working on filing complaints and a dispute with the BBB and ChexSystems. BIG Banks suck...will never do business with any big bank again. Community Banks are the way to go!
Does anyone know if there is any class action lawsuit against National City, which is now PNC. I see there are tons of complaints on here about both banks and these banks should be charged and pay for their poor business practices.

PNC Financial Services Group ripoff charges

I received 2 checks from my grandparents. Both checks were from PNC bank. I went to the bank today to cash the checks which were written out to me. I had 2 forms of identification. I was told it would cost me $10 each to cash the checks from their own bank! $20.00 to cash my checks from my grandparents PNC accounts. Are you kidding me. They told me the only way to avoid the charges was to open an account. So I opened an account to avoid the $20 charge. Isn't this called EXTORTION?!

So you wanted to cash checks without an account at no charge? You are making the bank take the risk of cashing a check to you, whom they have no relationship with with no charge? Why didn't you take the checks to your own bank? Why would you use another companies services and not want to pay? Also PNC along with most other banks will cash their own personal checks at no charge so I'm guessing these must of been business checks which is sort of strange you would be charged so your story does not make sense.

Had a 0 percent intro APR on balance transfer to PNC from Chase about six months ago; may not be surprising that PNC would auto kick in a RETROACTIVE "Purchases" charge for the purchases made BEFORE the balance transfer -- yes, I said BEFORE the balance was transferred (regardless if this is industry standard, in my not-so-humble opinion, this is ###izing the word "purchases, " because consumers are naturally going to think this means purchases made AFTER balance transfer, not on old balance from another cc company! WTF!) Anyway, the REAL kick in the teeth was when, after calling them on July 15, 2010 to ask why I was being charged $57.80 when all my purchases for that period totaled roughly $60, they explained that's because the zero APR ended; in other words, that's the first part mentioned, but while this was being explained to me, I stated something to the effect of, "Well, this was most unexpected and I think quite unfair; I'm unemployed right now, and would appreciate being able to work out something with your company." The customer DIS-service employee auto transferred my call to what she told me was supposed to the the "Customer Care Dept., " but which AUTOMATICALLY, AFTER I GAVE THEM A LITTLE BIT OF INFO, CLOSED MY ACCOUNT; I DID NOT ASK FOR OR WANT THIS. I never missed any payments, was never late, and always paid much more than the minimum payments for six months. It's bad enough they distort the term "Purchases" to mean any purchases made at any time, including the roughly $5K in purchases I transferred to PNC in order to enjoy a zero APR while unemployed. Always responsible, and not wanting to settle with Chase and have that affect my credit record, which is golden, this was what I thought would be the right thing to do; because our credit is excellent, I will be taking my balance and transferring it elsewhere. If, in the process of doing so, I learn that I am not permitted to transfer a balance on a card that is closed, because that is what PNC did to me yesterday and without my consent (they told me it wasn't an option; it's closed), I will raise bloody hell to no end; have already contacted the OCC, which oversees national banks like PNC and make them pay!

PNC Financial Services Group overdraft charges & fees vs electronic deposit

Pnc bank is awful. We have been miserably putting up with the switch from national city because we were out of state but enough is enough!

Thieves! We are getting our money out as soon as possible! Thieves and con artists! You are not what a bank is supposed to be pnc. Shame on you!

When they hold onto electronic deposits a full 24 hours after his company releases that money for pay, that's robbery! And then quadrupling a single nsf $36x4 for one overdraft, even though $7000 in electronic deposits is sitting in there since midnight the night before!?

I have had similar treatment from National city and Chase. In fact there is a class action suit against National city because of excessive overdraft fees! They are all crooks. They wont extend me overdraft protection because they say my credit is bad. Yet they will let me spend more than is in my account and call it a service. That is a line of credit with exorbitant interest rates! If I overdrew with National city by even a few cents, it cost me 34 $ plus 8 $ a day for everyday my account was negative! It seems like its set up to penalize those with bad credit or those who cant keep much money in the bank because they spend it all on bills, food and gas.I qualify for a checkcard but not overdraft protection, hmm seems like a trap.. I am currently a PNC customer and have been extremely lucky not to have overdrawn my account. I dont expect they will be any better to me if i should be so unfortunate to overdraw. I am without a job and barely getting by, thanks to friends and family, not some huge bank who apparently is run by a computer..You can see how they prey on the poor with these overdraft fees; if they can get 34$ every time someone overdraws, they can make millions upon millions..its a loan at an extreme interest rate, criminal even..

Yes, PNC are a bunch of criminals. But nothing will be done unless people become unruly and demand fairness. Look on the bright side though, there have been a huge slew of bank robberies at many different banks acrossed the nation. And I do hope those robbers get away with a huge bundle of cash. Most of these banks deserve it.

On July 15, 2010, I closed my joint checking account at PNC Bank in Scottdale, PA, a month after opening a new account at a different bank. I was a former happy customer of National City Bank. I should have trusted my gut and closed all my accounts at the onset, but decided to give PNC a chance, even though there has never been anything good about them in their history and they were only getting worse.

Anyway, on August 15, 2010, I find that not only did they NOT close the account, they continued to accept withdrawals on my account there were not properly refused by PNC, even though I had informed these people of my new bank and PNC charged me over $400 in overdraft fees on an account that was supposed to be CLOSED. I immediately informed the teller at the branch who told me she remembered closing my account what happened.

After talking to the elusive "branch manager" that never seems to be there, I was told that I would have to make payment arrangements on the amount as it appeared I continued using the account, even though there was not one of my husband's or mine SIX direct deposits placed into this account during that month's time. I told her that was ludicrous and would not be paying one cent of those fees. She informed me she would talk to her "branch manager" again.

She left a voice mail on my phone the next day that they reversed $28 of the fees to "help" me and I would need to make payment arrangements on the rest. Since then, she will not take my calls, return my calls and the "branch manager" is NEVER there.

I have talked to every person that will answer the phone at PNC and nobody can help me. Nobody can tell who can help me. I get better feedback from my 5-year-old.

Today, I got on the website to look at something for my mortgage that I can't wait until to get refinanced at another bank just so I don't EVER have to see another piece of mail from those crooks, and notice that my 15-year-old son's account is at a 0 balance. I look to see what he spent his money on. Apparently, they took the liberty of taking every last sent he had and applied to "the balance" on that account.

NOW they are stealing from my son and again NO ONE can help me. I call customer service, who sends me to collections, who tells me to go back to the branch and talk to the branch manager WHO IS NEVER THERE. Then he tells me to go to another branch in the area and file a complaint. all agree I was done wrong, but none of them can fix the problem. Since he didn't know the money was taken from his account and the account closed and they are incapable of actually closing account, they almost caused him to do the same thing.

Now I have to take another day off of work to go file a complaint at a bank 15 minutes from my house.

Pnc are thieves. If the account charges off they will usually settle for 25 percent of the balance. Chex system is a joke and no big deal to be reported to. For direct complaints ask to speak to Kimberly G Ridge. She is an old nasty ### that dresses like she is 12. Direct all complaints to her.

On 06/30/10 PNC bank withdrawal from my account $400 to deposit to my overdraft proctection, however, there was not enough funds for them to withdrawal. My account was over sitting at a $500 negetive amount, because they also charged me $144 in overdraft fees. Once they withdrawal the money, it set in my account without being applied to the overdraft account for 7 days while I was having other bills set up on automatic payments hitting my account. I spoke to over 6 people within this organization and not one person was able to transfer the funds back into my account. As of today, I am still having problems putting the money back into my account. Per the bank my monthly payments were supposed to be $12. and they continuous stated that I initated this transaction. I never did. National City Bank would have never done this such a thing, if the money was not in the account. I am so disatisfied with this company, and will be closing my account once this problem has been taken care of.

PNC Financial Services Group pnc bank

I'm, complainting! Because; pnc bank will not allow me to speak to a repasentative about the block on my account. I entered the wrong number one to many times, and they put a block on so I can't get information on line or my phone to find out whats in my account. Or to make payments on-line. I needed to talk to some one to get this straitened out. But i'm unable to get through to anyone. I'm getting very upset with this situation. Sincerly yours ms. Donna m. Crouse

I understand it can be frustrating to be blocked out of an account...but you have to realize that what if that was someone trying to get into your account then you would be happy that the bank was blocking them out!
as far as you saying you were not able to speak to a rep about the account being blocked i feel like theirs more to the story that your not telling...?

PNC Financial Services Group pmt increase/miaapplied funds

Reference: loan no. [protected]

Ladies/gentlemen:

In february 2010 you increased my mortgage payment $300.00, due to an escrow shortage that started
In 2007. I worked out payment arrangements at that time and agreed to pay more when I could to pay off this deficit. I systematically paid $211 over the minimum for 2 years and $95 +/- since jnuary 2010., only to find that the excess was, to my shock, being applied to principal reduction.

I have contacted your company many times and asked that these funds be properly applied to the escrow shortage but was told that would be impossible since it would change the disbursement in interest payments. So due to pnc's unacknoledeged accounting error, applying payment funds, I am in default because the rents received on this property is not enough to meet your new minimum payment. The original workout agreement was based on a 48 month payback and that has bewen shortened arbitarily by 8 months resulting in a payment I find difficult to meet. Due to unemployment, and recent illness I do not qualify for the federal workout program

I never noted my payments to apply these funds to principal, I did not realize I had to. I have been in the mortgage business since 1974, first servicing then mortgage production. It was common procatice to tell clients to purposely mark principal reductions due to usual misapplication of funds. What mortgage company in their right mind applies additional funds to principal when an escrow shortage exists. Unless that mortgage company is intentionally trying to create more foreclosures through increasing payments beyond the borrowers capability to pay. Especially when the home has good equity! Thieves! Snidley whiplash tying sweet nell to the railroad tracks! Is the vision that comes to mind.

The increased payment information was not received until april 2010, my payment of $1875 was sent in may 2010. I received a letter stating you could not apply the payment because prior arrangements had not been made. I tried to make arrangements and your customer service department has no interestin assisting or acknowledging any error on the distribution of prior payments. The proper application of these funds should have paid this account up in 36 months approximately.

In addition to these problems, your company tried to collect $4000/year for hazard insurance 2 year
Worth, even backdating a policy 1 year which is illeagle. My policy had lapsed and I did not receive notification, however when I found out the policy had been lapsed by 2 months you charged 4x the normal rate. I guess that should have been a good indication of how you do business and I should have paid closer attention to the application of my payments. Hopefully the federal trade commission can offer some solution to this problem, at least they are who we refer clients to if there is a problem creating the mortgage.

PNC Financial Services Group from day one it has been one problem after another

PNC, PNC, PNC where do I even begin. From day one it has been one problem after another. First, I set up an account online which for over a month I was not able to access my thousand dollar deposit for many reasons.

1)They lost my signature card in the mail.

2)I WENT, W E N T to one of their branches and personally signed one there, you would think that that would have freed up my funds right there, mind you this was 3 weeks after I started the account, NO! Three days later I called and they said they lost my signature card, so for a third time I signed the card and near the end of a month was finally able to access my funds.

Another issue with PNC, Check Deposits. I can understand a bank wanting to wait while a check clears, HOWEVER, when I deposit my employment check and they give me 100.00 to use for immediate withdrawal if I have to. However, say I need to pay the electric, water, etc., even though the funds are to be cleared in a day, I mysteriously found multiple overdraft fees stacked up for the things that were paid as my check waited for clearing. This is unprofessional how they run this side of their operations as if you see that a check is waiting to be posted then why should the customer be burdened with fees when time after time the checks show that they clear each time.

PNC is just another one of those banks that claim no hidden fees and I am not saying that this is a hidden fee, I am strictly saying that PNC only does business with people in ways that benefit them, they dont care about people, I did end up getting the fees removed, but the whole time the customer service rep kept referring me to get over draft protection. All in all the bank could be a great place to bank if they would change few ways things work but dont expect that any time soon as PNC was the PROUD recipient of an enormous bailout courteous of the tax payers of which they went and bought another bank with that money.

whoa sounds like you really had some issues with the bank... sorry to hear that your it took so long to get your account opened but you have to understand we are humans and everybody makes mistakes..

1.when I deposit my employment check and they give me 100.00 to use for immediate withdrawal-- your employer could bounce a check it is possible its happened to me! I later found out the my work did put the money in an account were all paychecks pull from because co workers had their checks bounce.. understand when the bank pays you out they take the risk of funds not being paid back if they are not available. Might i suggest getting direct deposit if your job offers it...

2.I mysteriously found multiple overdraft fees stacked up for the things that were paid as my check waited for clearing--- so this is the banks fault that you paid these items? did the bank go spend your money or did you? hmmm... i think i knew who paid the items...

3.hey don't care about people, I did end up getting the fees removed, but the whole time the customer service rep kept referring me to get over draft protection.-- wow so they gave you back the fees and you said in the same sentence that pnc doesn't care about people.. also if the rep is speaking to you about odp which covers anything that comes into the account as long as the secondary source has funds..then maybe you ought to look into it. why would a bank tell you about odp to avoid fees in the future? wouldn't it be smarter as a bank to not tell their customer how to avoid fees?

my thought: everybody makes mistakes were all human! and believe me usually when you make that mistake once you never do it again... so now you know what the time frame for you payroll check to clear is and you can look into dir-deposit if you job offers it and if not adjust accordingly to how you know the system works...

PNC Financial Services Group violation of their contractual and other obligations undertaken and incurred in

I work at a law firm where I process loan modification cases representing homeowners experiencing financial difficulties. Pnc bank has closed two (2) files I have been processing since october of 2009. Each file/homeowner were active in the hamp trial period plan. The plan(s) were accepted with first payment due on or before december 2009. Each homeowner had made all of their trial payments on time up until june of 2010 when pnc wrongfully closed each case. All documentation was submitted to pnc bank on numerous occassions, financials were constantly updated, always confirmed receipt of the documents, I was in direct negotiation with the processor assigned to each case within pnc bank and one day pnc bank closes each case! This is a direct violation of their contractual and other obligations undertaken and incurred in connection with hamp; pnc bank needs to be fined and reprimanded with the full legal capabilities. This is unacceptable and will be taken to the next step legally on my end. Each homeowner should have received a permanent loan modification on or about march of april of 2010, but pnc bank kept requesting updated income information even when these two different cases and homeowners both were and still currently are receiving fixed income. The banks need to be supervised, they can't keep treated the american people with disrespect and not have any consequences for it... Unbelieveable.

Pnc is the worst bank please do not bank with these people are robbers they still charge you an overdraft fee even if you make a deposit...my account was overdrawn by $11.00 and I made a desposit and they still charged me an overdraft fee and when I called the representative I spoke with was very rude and he going to tell me the reason why I was charged that was because I didn't make the deposit on Friday by 10 o clock pm and when I told him I had checked my account on Friday it wasn't overdrawn so how was I suppose to know to make a desposit on Friday when the account didn't tell I was overdrawn until Saturday and that's when I made the deposit they are robbing people because even you keep track of your transactions they still will find a way to screw you because they take so long to post your transactions then sometimes they don't take the money out immediately even though they'll put it on your account like they did then you think you have this certain amount of money then you don't and then your hit with overdraft fees...please stay away from this bank I wish somebody would of warned me...

PNC Financial Services Group greed and deceit

PNC is now playing a new game. I used to have home line of credit with National City bank wich call for prime minus 1.0 % . When the prime was 5% percent or higher. I am paying on time every time my loanfor the past 4 years. NOw National city is bought ny PNC. and PNC is not happy with the deal I had with National city. They keep harrassing me about changing the loan to higher interest rate. since my interest is only 2.75%. They claim that they don't offer this product anymore. They even threaten me that if I don't change the loan they might ask for the full loan to be paid in full as per the agreement with National city ( it was quoted that the bank has the right to do that but this is on basis on defualt). Shame Shame on PNC. With the tough economy I kept my loan up to date and never been late on my payement of my loan. Now they are greedy and want to be scew up their good customers for a higher interest rate. If they are going to do that to me, how about the average citizen who is struggling to pay his morgtage . If PNC continue to ask me for that I will take it to a higher authority and possibly to court.

similar story. My husband had a mortgage and home equity loan. He passed away suddenly 7 years ago. They contacted me about 5 months ago, long story short they want the $16, 000 equity loan paid off or they will take my home. I live paycheck to paycheck. I don't have $16, 000. I have been paying these loans faithfully. They are in no way in default. Ask them why they would take my home even though I have been paying these loans all these years, their answer - because we can. ###ing crooks. May they rot in hell.
