pnm is not good
pnm is not good. they cant keep the power on for people in albuquerque. lots of homes dont have power for four days now. if they ask for more money, remember this.
pnm is the worst!
pnm is the worst! they came to my yard and cut my tree without asking, left branches on the wires, and made a big mess. when i called to ask them to clean it up, they said they can't because it's not their tree. it's so dangerous and they don't care! i wish there was a different power company in town.
PNM said they sent me an email with my bill, but I didn't get it
PNM said they sent me an email with my bill, but I didn't get it. When I asked them about it, they gave me some crazy excuses, like how someone else can stop me from getting emails from PNM. Like, seriously? They blame everyone else for their mistakes. That's why they give you a bill right before it's due and make extra money. They don't care about their customers. That's how they save money.
PNM is not good at answering customer *** calls
PNM is not good at answering customer *** calls. I waited for 3 hours and still no answer. I have an appointment for them to check my electric panel, but they haven't come yet and it's already 11:45am. They said they will come between 8-5. I don't think they care about their customers' time.
PNM overcharged me twice in 6 months because they couldn't read my meter
PNM overcharged me twice in 6 months because they couldn't read my meter. Both times, the bill was over twice as much. They didn't tell me I could read my own meter and put it on their website. They emailed me a lot but never said that option was there. They should take off what I already paid for the months they couldn't read the meter. They're charging me double for the same electricity. They should at least take off what I already paid since I paid for the estimate.
I went to PNM center to pay my bill after moving out of my rental
I went to PNM center to pay my bill after moving out of my rental. I talked to the lady at the desk about shutting down my account. She said it would be transferred to the new tenant. But it didn't happen for a while. Now PNM sent me to a collection agency for almost 800$. They said they transfer accounts instead of disconnecting them. I have to pay the full amount because I didn't check my account and see that I was still being billed.
PNM is the only electric company and that's not cool
PNM is the only electric company and that's not cool. They treat people like trash. I asked them to move my service from my old apartment to my new house, but it's been 3 days and still no electricity. I'm a vet with health problems and a 2 year old. They said I have to wait until tomorrow. They couldn't move my service, but they could disconnect it at my old place. What a joke! We need other companies that care about their customers. The manager said they're short on staff. How is that our fault? If they can't do their job, they shouldn't be in business.
PNM is the worst company
PNM is the worst company. I had inspectors from their company and my own, and they said everything was okay. That was a month ago, and no one has come to install my meter. I have two small children living with me, and it's getting so much colder. I understand I live on the Pueblo, but that doesn't mean someone can't communicate with me or my in-laws! I have the green light to get my meter, but now they're sending me in circles. What is a tech designed to do?! They give me number after number, and no one answers or calls me back! What good are you people? It's getting colder, and I'm afraid someone is going to report me to CYFD. The last thing I need is more stress. I'm a single, hard-working mother who just moved out of a bad relationship to start over, and you people have been dicking me around for going on two months now! Get your s*** together and communicate better!
PNM in New Mexico is a big letdown
PNM in New Mexico is a big letdown. I've been trying to get them to install a power pole on my property in ***. They're charging me several thousands of dollars for this, but it's been a real struggle. I've been in contact with some project engineers since 10/08, but they seem to be neglecting my request to bring power to my property. It's been four months now, and a new project started in the subdivision close to mine. Even though I applied for the service before this new project did, PNM already brought power to that new construction. I've been calling a lady named Stella, who's supposed to be the project manager, but I've left voice messages with no results or response. I don't know if I should give them some money under the table so that PNM will bring power to my property. I'm very, very disappointed.
PNM has two rates, one for homes and one for businesses
PNM has two rates, one for homes and one for businesses. The business rate is way more expensive than the home rate. I own a big piece of land in *** with only a well on it that we don't use. We used to camp there sometimes. There's nothing else there, no house, no shed, no fence, no business, no equipment...nothing. PNM has a service for the well there. The area is for homes. PNM charges me the business rate even though there's no business there. There's nothing there that looks like a business. Why have any service there at all? For one, the well needs to be checked. I know the well needs to be used sometimes. Lastly, we would sometimes camp there. PNM knows there's no business there. I called them a lot of times to tell them that, but they won't give me the home rate. I finally stopped their service, but then I had to start it again to check the well. Don't trust PNM, ever. They know they have you in a bad spot and you can't do anything about it. The ComplaintsBoard.com should know this is a big problem.
I moved into my new place 4 months ago and my electric bills have been crazy high, ranging from $150 to a whopping $251!
I moved into my new place 4 months ago and my electric bills have been crazy high, ranging from $150 to a whopping $251! I always pay on time and in full, but when I called PNM for help, they just gave me the runaround. They blamed me for the high bills, but I keep my A/C at 70 degrees and barely use any lights since I'm hardly ever home. I've lived in different apartments for years and never had bills this high. PNM is the worst company ever! They gouge their customers with their prices. There's no way an apartment bill should be this high. They said they'd send someone to check the meter, but they just came back saying the reading was correct and I'm stuck with the same high bill. I do everything to save energy, like unplugging appliances when I'm not using them, but I still get hit with a $251 bill. PNM needs to be honest and stop stealing from people. They're real crooks who cheat their customers and take their hard-earned money, especially during this tough time of Covid-19. If I could rate them, I'd give them negative 10 stars!
PNM is my power company since I moved back to NM
PNM is my power company since I moved back to NM. My experience with them has been bad. I started my account with them when I bought my house, but it's been nothing but nightmares. They have a tool to help you save money on your ***, but it hasn't helped me. I've updated my home with new appliances and switched from a swamp cooler to central air, but my *** has gone up every month. My neighbors use more power than me, but their *** is less. I've called PNM 8 times, done their live chat, and emailed them, but they haven't resolved my issue. They told me to send meter readings to an email that doesn't work and asked me to take pictures of my meter from the street. It's been over a month, and I'm still waiting for a call back.
I had a bill due on 9/9 and on 10/5 PNM disconnected my services
I had a bill due on 9/9 and on 10/5 PNM disconnected my services. I had called prior to the disconnect and scheduled a payment arrangement. When I called about the disconnect, I was told that it was 30 days past due. 30 days past due and it was pulled for disconnect. I had argued that I had made arrangements and also 30 days past due would have been 10/9. In addition to the disconnect, in order to turn the services back on, I had to put a deposit of $280. They wouldn't waive the deposit, but yet I have had services with PNM for 36 years. They fail to acknowledge that 9/9 to 10/5 is not 30 days, they fail to acknowledge the payment arrangements, and did not bother to waive the $280 deposit. This is the second time in 36 years my services had been disconnected and both times it was due to my payment arrangements being erased. I believe this was unethical and PNM should have acknowledged 9/9 to 10/5 is not 30 days past due, also adding a $280 deposit was very unethical. Last, the way they said they confirm if arrangements had been made is by seeing if they can find a record of the telephone number on file. My telephone number on file had been changed in March *** not payment arrangements had been made is flawed. The next issue was, after making the payment it states to go online and check that the payment was made to have services reconnected. The online method never worked. I spent over an hour on hold trying to get my services reconnected. I have underlying medical conditions and was not able to perform my medical treatment because of no electricity. They should hire better staff as supervisors because the supervisor I had spoken to was just as bad as the customer *** representatives. They are not able to offer any solutions. I wish we had another power service company in *** because for the 36 years I have had service, if you ever have to call them they have never been able to help or resolve issues. I hate very much that we cannot shop around for something so important as power services. If I had an option, I definitely would not go with PNM.

PNM ain't been doing their billing right for like 25 years now
PNM ain't been doing their billing right for like 25 years now. They don't even tell you how much to subtract from the bill. They just do budget billing and take out too much money. I need my account fixed 'cause they been taking too much from me while I was on budget billing.
PNM needs to fix the low line on my property ASAP
PNM needs to fix the low line on my property ASAP. I've been calling them every day for 3 weeks and they still haven't done anything about it. They said it's their line, but they haven't told me what they're going to do. I need to build my home on that property soon, but the electric line is in the way and it's causing problems for my workers. PNM needs to step up and do their job.
I think PNM is charging me too much for my last bill at my apartment on ***
I think PNM is charging me too much for my last bill at my apartment on ***. The billing period was from 6-24 to 7-23, but I only stayed until 7-4. I turned off all the electrical stuff except the fridge and the AC. I didn't use the AC when I went back twice. But they still charged me a lot for only 11 days. PNM is definitely overcharging me!

My bill from PNM is due on 2/08 and it's a whopping $344.52!
My bill from PNM is due on 2/08 and it's a whopping $344.52! I've been living at my place for over 17 years and this is the most expensive bill I've ever had. I called PNM on 1/26 and talked to Elaine. She said they don't have enough meter readers, so they're estimating bills. She asked me to send a picture of my meter and said she'd call me back on 1/27 @ 1:30pm. I waited all day for the call, but it never came. I called PNM again, but they were busy and I had to leave my number for a callback. I did that, but they never called me back. I sent 2 pictures of my meter to [protected]@pnm.com, but still no callback.
At my crib, we use 'bout [protected] kWh of electricity each month
At my crib, we use 'bout [protected] kWh of electricity each month. Been livin' here since October and in 2019, they replaced the meter. But, we just got a bill that's two and a half times our usual usage and we ain't changed nothin'. I called PNM a few times but they ain't helpin' me out. They keep sayin' it's our fault, but I asked them to come check the meter and they won't send nobody. Normally, we pay 'bout $180-$260 a month, but this bill was $878! That's crazy! They say we used 5500 kWh, but that's impossible. They won't work with us and even suggested we get an electrician to check all our appliances. It's a mess.
Last month, I was outside watering plants when I heard my neighbor talking to a PNM person in the front yard
Last month, I was outside watering plants when I heard my neighbor talking to a PNM person in the front yard. She then drove off. Next, I got a message from PNM that they couldn't read my meter because they couldn't get into the backyard. I was outside, but she never approached me. This month, I got a date when they would be here, so I left the gate unlocked to the backyard. I unlocked the gate and left the chain hanging on the fence. I went to run an errand, and when I was driving back, I noticed PNM about five houses from mine, so I parked and waited for them to come. They just drove off around the corner. Again, I received another message from PNM that they couldn't read the meter again. Both times, I have been home. PNM sent me another message that if it happens a third time, they were going to delay my bill until the situation is resolved. I don't think my bill should be used as a reason.
I got charged 164.76 for a month when the house was empty
I got charged 164.76 for a month when the house was empty. I left *** in April and moved everything to my new place at ***. I was only at the old place for a day of rug cleaning and two weekends of moving out with the garage light on. My bill for the previous month was 96.88, which I paid in full. There were four adults and lots of electronics and appliances during that month (March). I told PNM about my move in March. I got the bill for *** on April 3rd, which shows I moved. I can get letters from movers and contractors to prove I wasn't living in ***. I only went there a few times to clean. The landlady asked me to close the electric bill and give it to her when I turned in the keys on April 28th. I called billing and disputed it.
I purchased a Bonaire evaporative cooler from a local retailer in New Mexico on 7/19
I purchased a Bonaire evaporative cooler from a retailer in New Mexico on 7/19. I aimed to obtain the PNM rebate, but the website checkout failed. Enduring over 30 minutes on hold with PNM rebates support yielded no assistance. The rebate terms require a new product, yet I bought a returned item. It necessitated an hour's drive as it was the sole unit nearby. Bonaire's warranty inquiry advised retaining the store receipt. Despite the cooler's return status, I believe I'm entitled to the rebate as it's unused by me.
I had 3 power outages in the past 11 days (July 9, 16, and 18) that lasted over 4 hours on 2 of them and 3 hours on the third
I had 3 power outages in the past 11 days (July 9, 16, and 18) that lasted over 4 hours on 2 of them and 3 hours on the third. When I talked to the technician who came during the second outage, I told him that they had to replace a fuse that had blown two Saturdays in a row. He said they would run a test and report it to PNM, but it's up to PNM to fix any issues. During the third outage on Monday, the technician told my wife that the generator wasn't sending enough power, causing the fuse to fail. He suggested that we and our neighbors contact PNM to express our concerns since it's affecting 7 customers on our block. I called PNM on [protected], and they said they didn't know when they would fix the problem. I asked to speak to someone who could give me an answer about when the issue would be resolved, but I haven't heard back from anyone at PNM. This problem has made it unbearable since the AC isn't working.
I been living at this place for 11 years
I been living at this place for 11 years. Never had a problem with PNM. Last month they said they couldn't come in my yard cuz of my dog. They guessed my bill. June's bill was $68.46. My July bill was $271.76. I called them and told them this can't be right. They did their little investigation, I got a letter saying the charge was right...I knew what the answer was even before I opened it. I'm a widow, I got central air..my living habits ain't changed. I'm being taken advantage of! I'm on disability, so my income is very limited. I can't afford to pay this, and I won't pay it till they fix it, and then it gotta be very small payments. I looked back and my highest bill for the summer was around $140. They try to explain what they tell us, we don't understand those number readings, and THEY know that...they know they got us over a barrel. My 37 year old son just passed away, my nerves are shot and his death and this bill is taking a toll on me. I need someone to help me! I even thought about calling one of the tv stations that do consumer help. This bill ain't right and I'll go down fighting knowing I'm right!
I'm a vet who's disabled and on a fixed income
I'm a vet who's disabled and on a fixed income. My son lost his job, so we fell behind on our PNM bill. I paid $100 on December 9, but PNM cut our power anyway. They said we owed $91 more, plus a $195 deposit and an $11 reconnect fee. That's $297 total, plus the $100 I already paid. The next day, PNM sent me a letter about a deposit certificate. Then on December 17, they sent me a bill for $170.90, which is more than usual. After subtracting my payments, I should have owed $70.90. But they added another $206.58 for a total of $277.48. I talked to them, but they said I still owe that money. I have proof that I paid it, but they won't listen.
