1st subscription still not received since january
Case id: [protected]
Subscribed early 2018 and until today haven't receive even th 1st copy.
Repeated emails to courtney, hallie and marolynn unfortunately ended with deaf ears.
This subscription is a huge loyal 3-years but after 6 month, I am beginning to regret this move.
For all you new subscribers, I advice you just stick to the 6month or yearly subscription so you won't fall into this trap.
hurst publications
I have tried to stop any and all regular and "gift" subscriptions to no avail! There is no published phone number to make a human contact with.
A bill keeps being sent to me for "gift renewals" that I do not want!
How do I stop this? Customer service is a joke in that it will not service a customer in any way! I will never subscribe with hurst again!
magazine subscription
I am receiving 2 issues each month due to receiving past due billing notices from popular mechanics. Please discontinue and refund these 2 subscriptions
Popular mechanics and hearst should be a trusted magazine publisher. These deceptive past due notices and required continuous subscription are a scam.

did not renew gift subscription (paid in advance several years)
I continue receiving "unpaid account invoice" with $34. Amount due. This is not an unpaid balance, but is listed as such. Each renewal I have paid in advance. I chose not to renew so ignored repeated letters "don't let your friends' gift end... Or forfeit your special savings rate... Just because you waited too long to pay your bill."
Fine print at bottom of their letter states "your gift subscription(s) will continue to be sent to your designated recipient(s) until you ask us to stop." this was never stated when initially paid for a designated time. Obviously, I am stopping my gift subscription by not renewing! Furthermore, my personal subscription was not renewed, and those magazines did stop at my residence.
Resolution: popular mechanics is undertaking a scam and I want these letters and "unpaid account invoices" to stop. I have no idea if the unauthorized "gift" continues to be sent or not. If it was sent without my authority, they should not bill me for it.

I was writing the check for a subscription, when I read your small print about automatic renewal.
I don’t want automatic renewal.
I want a one year subscription.
I will decide when and if I want to renew, not you.
And don’t tell me I can stop the subscription at any time.
I want a one year subscription, no more, no less.
So until you change your policy, we are done.
I recieved a bill From the Hurst Publication DiV in Markham Ontario Canada for $29.97 for Popular Mechanics Magazine and i did not order that . The # of the order is Acc # [protected]. Now i want this invoice to be canceled immediately.

did not subscribe and are billing me.
I subscribed to popular mechanics for one year. They sent me an email to renew subscription. I didn't and now they are billing me for what? There is no phone number to contact them. No email address nothing in the way to dispute or contact anyone! It all seems shady to me. Who is running this company? I would sure like to get my hands on them!

I used to subscribe to popular mechanics, a magazine published by hearst publications.in an effort to keep within my budget, I decided not to renew the subscription. However, hearst sent me a bill anyway. Since I did not agree to renew my subscription, I did not pay the bill. Hearst then sent me another bill, which I wrote “cancel – did not order” on the bill and returned. I did this twice more. Then I received a notice from sunrise credit services, inc., a collection agency, telling me to pay up!
The bill? $10! And hearst has not sent the magazines to which they are so diligently trying to get paid! Why am I concerned over $10? Because it is unethical and coercive behavior that should be illegal. $10 from me is not much, but if this is their standard practice, it adds up to a significant amount, as most people would probably “pay off” the company…
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I just got off the phone with Popular Mechanics. I explained my frustration and his response was simply that he would be glad to cancel my account.
So, in the event that someone from Hearst publications reads this, be aware that I will never again subscribe to anything with you company associated. This is a poor way to conduct business and I feel certain that a number of people receiving a "delinquent account notice" will certainly respond by sending a check thinking they owe money.
I will no longer do business with a company that I perceive to be taking advantage of people and resulting to such business practices.
If you ever want my business again go back to simply sending a reminder notice and assume that if I do not respond I am not interested in renewing.
Under no circumstance does that give you the right to make any inference that I have a delinquent account. I signed up for a one year subscription and the year is over. I met my obligation deal with it.
