Pro-Form Treadmill Repair Nightmare: Avoid this Company at All Costs
I have been trying to get my Pro-Form treadmill repaired for months now, and it has been a complete nightmare. When I first received the treadmill, I stored it in my home and didn't use it much. However, after about 5 months, I started to notice rust spots on one of the legs and the speaker guard. I tried wiping them off, but they kept coming back and spreading around the area. Despite my efforts to clean off the rust, the belt eventually stopped working in November of 2022.
When I called customer service to get the rust areas fixed along with my belt, I was put on hold for over an hour. Finally, we got to the end of the call where they were ordering my parts, and they hung up on me. I had to start the whole process over again, and this time they wouldn't cover the rust parts because I had moved the treadmill to the garage for a Christmas party. Even though I had taken new pictures with their system, they claimed that the treadmill had accumulated dust and hair from my husky and wouldn't replace it.
To make matters worse, I had purchased the treadmill from their own website, but they didn't even have my information in their system. I talked to 8 different customer service reps, and none of them seemed to know how to do their job. They kept hanging up on me and causing the whole process to be restarted. It was a complete nightmare.
One thing I noticed was that one leg of the treadmill was rusted while the other was not. It seemed like their third-party company, UTS, was useless as well. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this company at all costs. Don't waste your money with these guys.
Pro-Form Elliptical Review: A $569 Mistake - Don't Make the Same One!
I recently purchased an elliptical from Pro-Form and boy, was it a hassle! I shelled out a whopping $869 for the machine and was offered the "white glove treatment" by the sales agent for an additional $200. I decided to go for it and let them put it together for me. However, when I tried to use the elliptical, the petals wouldn't budge. The assembler told me to download the iFit app to unlock it, but that turned out to be a lie. I looked at the assembly book and realized that the white glove people had put the bars and rollers on upside down. I had to call them back to fix it, and they came the next day. But the way they were pulling and yanking on the bars without unscrewing everything properly made me nervous. And sure enough, when I tried it after they were done, the main wheel was rubbing and the bars were wobbly and out of sync.
I called Pro-Form to have someone else come out and fix it, but they refused. They made me troubleshoot it over the phone, and the support staff agreed that I deserved a new machine. So I went back to the sales reps and asked for a replacement, but Pro-Form denied me. I even offered to put it together myself, but they still refused. In the end, they only refunded me $500 out of the $1069 I had spent. And to make matters worse, they wouldn't honor their 60-day money-back guarantee. I felt like I had been taken advantage of and screwed out of $569, all for a machine that I never even got to use.
To add insult to injury, the assemblers didn't even know which way to put the bars and rollers on! It was such a basic mistake that anyone should have been able to avoid. I paid $200 for the white glove treatment, but all I got was a headache and a lot of frustration.
Ten years ago, I bought a Bowflex and put it together myself. It lasted me a decade without any issues. If you're thinking about buying a Pro-Form product, I would highly suggest you reconsider. The hassle and frustration just aren't worth it.
Disappointing Experience with Pro-Form Equipment and Customer Service
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Pro-Form. I mean, I bought this fancy piece of equipment with a built-in tablet and everything, thinking it was gonna be the bee's knees. But boy, was I wrong.
First off, the tablet stopped working. And when I tried to reset it with support, they couldn't even help me. So they said they'd send a replacement, but it took forever to arrive. And when it finally did, it was the wrong part! Like, seriously? How hard is it to get the right part?
And don't even get me started on customer service. Every time I called, I had to wait on hold for like 40 minutes, only to be transferred to someone else who couldn't help me either. And after six calls and three months of waiting, I still don't have a working piece of equipment.
Plus, the whole thing is just a mess. The wires and plugs don't match up, and there are all these different plug styles that I don't even understand. And even though I'm pretty tech-savvy, I can't even fix it myself because the electric board plugs are all messed up.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Pro-Form to anyone. If you're gonna buy one, make sure you activate the warranty and avoid getting a model with a built-in tablet. Just get one that syncs to your own tablet or something. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle.
Ifit/Proform's Terrible Customer Service: My 6-Month Treadmill Repair Nightmare
So, I had a bit of a run-in with Ifit/Proform recently. I reached out to them on November 18, 2022 because my treadmill wasn't working properly. They told me that my treadmill was out of warranty, and that they would need to send a technician out to diagnose the issue. I was a bit worried about the cost, so I told them that I might just buy a new treadmill instead. But, I went ahead and paid for the diagnosis anyway.
After the diagnosis, Ifit/Proform told me that the computer board needed to be replaced. I asked them what the cost would be if it turned out to be a different part, and they said that I would only have to pay for the part since I had already paid for the diagnosis and the technician's visit. So, I went ahead and paid for the part and waited for it to arrive.
The part finally arrived on January 4, 2023, but when the technician came out to replace it, he realized that Ifit/Proform had shipped the wrong part. I had to contact them again and wait another month for the correct part to arrive on February 7, 2023. But, when the technician came out to replace it, he realized that the part didn't fix the issue. He told me that the motor was the problem and needed to be replaced.
So, I had to wait yet another month for the motor to arrive on March 8, 2023. But, when I contacted the treadmill repair company to schedule the repair, they told me that they no longer had a technician in my area. I had to contact Ifit/Proform again, but this time they told me that I would have to pay another service charge to get my treadmill repaired. I was pretty frustrated at this point, since I had already paid for the diagnosis and the technician's visit, and had been waiting for 6 months to get my treadmill fixed.
I explained all of this to the Ifit/Proform representative, but they just kept repeating that I would have to pay another service charge. I was really disappointed with the terrible customer service I received from Ifit/Proform. I used to love my treadmill, but after this experience, I don't think I'll ever buy another one from them again. It's a real shame, because I know they make good products, but their customer service is just piss poor.
Pro-Form's Return Policy is Unfair and Unreasonable - Dissatisfied Customer Review
I bought a recumbent exercise bike from Pro-Form's website about three weeks ago because I had knee surgery and needed to bike for my recovery. I had previously purchased a treadmill from them and loved the iFit component, especially John Peel's workouts. I follow him on both my treadmill and bike. When I needed a bike, I didn't hesitate to purchase one from Pro-Form as well.
However, after I started riding the bike, I noticed that my knees were hitting the monitor because I had to push the seat all the way forward due to my short height. I called Pro-Form's warranty department and they sent out a technician to look at my issue. Unfortunately, he couldn't do anything about it and just noted it down. The next day, I called back to the warranty department to see what they could do, and this is where I became dissatisfied.
I was transferred to the returns department and was told that in order to return the bike, I had to pay a $250 restocking fee and 10% of what I paid for it. This made no sense to me because I only paid $399 for the bike, so I would be paying almost double to return it. The representative was not helpful in resolving this issue and only offered me 5% back ($20) and a product of my choice, like an iFit heart monitor.
I told her that I didn't want any free items, I just wanted a bike that would fit me properly. I have used many recumbent bikes before and have never had the issue of my knees touching the monitor. As I mentioned earlier, I had knee surgery and hitting my knees on the monitor is not comfortable. However, she said there was nothing she could do, nor could Pro-Form. This was their policy and that was it! I asked to speak with a supervisor, but was told none were available, but they would pass on what we talked about.
I told her that I was going to write a bad review about this service, but she didn't seem to care. So, when you see the bad review on Google, you'll know why.
It's unfortunate that a big company like Pro-Form couldn't resolve my issue by exchanging my bike for another one that works for me. I guess one dissatisfied customer is okay with Pro-Form. They got their money from me, but they won't be getting it again! Shame on Pro-Form for having this type of policy and not making the customer happy, especially one who was a previous customer and was happy with their previous purchase. I expected better from this company, especially since I live and work in Utah and have been to their company in Logan. I guess they've gotten too big for themselves.
Pro-Form Rowing Machine Review: Forced Membership Fee & Technical Difficulties
So, I got this Pro-Form rowing machine from my kids as a Christmas present. Being an old timer, it's not as easy to jump on a real boat and paddle away like the good old days, so I was grateful for this gift and excited to get my daily exercise in at home. We quickly got it all set up and ready to go, but as we went through the instructions, we noticed multiple red tags that warned us we couldn't even use the basic manual functions of the machine unless we bought a $15 per month membership to this I-Fit thing.
I wasn't thrilled about this, because I just wanted to row and not have to deal with any monthly fees, but I figured I'd give it a shot and sign up. After putting in my credit card info, I expected to be able to turn on the machine and start my workout. But no, I was greeted with a repetitive HELLO>>>HELLO>>> message that just kept scrolling along the display, and none of the settings were functional.
As an old-timer, I'm not as tech savvy as some of the younger folks out there, but I'm not a dumb old fart either. This kind of business practice seems illegal to me. How can a company force you to buy an online membership just to be able to turn on a product that you've already paid for? It's not right. I plan to call their customer service department tomorrow, but today being Christmas, that's impossible.
It's a shame that what should have been a pleasant surprise and fun way to keep fit turned into a bit of a wreck because of Pro-Form's sneaky and greedy business tactics. If you're considering buying from Pro-Form, know that you'll likely have to pay extra to access the most basic functions of their equipment, and be ready to fight for your rights as a consumer.
Pro-Form Bike with iFit Technology - A Sensational Fitness Experience
Pro-Form is an amazing website providing its customers with some top quality fitness equipment. I recently purchased a bike from them and I must say that I am extremely happy with my choice. The bike is loaded with very amazing features that enhance the riding experience to a whole new level.
One of the best features of this bike that I found very helpful was the iFit technology. This technology enables a virtual instructor to take you on a tour of another part of the world. This meant that I had an engaging experience instead of just sitting there staring at the wall. With this technology, I was able to experience an interactive workout, something that I had never experienced before. I just had to download the iFit application to my device and I was good to go.
The assembling process was not as complicated as I had expected, and the bike came with an instructional manual that was very easy to follow. The bike was easy to set up according to my own personal preferences and has an amazing safety feature that enables you to stop the bike immediately if needed. The pedals were very sturdy and provided amazing support for my feet, while the seat took some getting used to.
The bike had ergonomic handlebars that were perfect to hold in three different ways. There was a water bottle holder and light dumbbells placed under the bike seat which made workout sessions even more interesting. With this setup, I was able to have a complete body workout experience.
Overall, I can say that the bike exceeded my expectations and I feel great when I use it. I was given a discounted rate for providing a candid feedback, but I would have happily paid the full price for this amazing bike which is nothing short of sensational. Pro-Form is an absolutely incredible website that has helped me achieve my fitness goals.
ProForm Bike with iFIT: The Perfect Addition to Your Home Exercise Routine!
ProForm has been the perfect addition to my home exercise routine! As the weather becomes gloomier in the Pacific Northwest, I am more inclined to stay huddled indoors with my little ones. With my ProForm bike, I now have a fantastic way to sneak in some exercise while at home, and the iFIT Bluetooth compatibility takes it to the next level. It's like having a private trainer to push me to the limit!
From the moment I set up my ProForm bike, I was impressed by how easy it was to assemble. The seat and handlebars can be easily adjusted for my comfort, and the magnetic-resistant wheel provides a smooth and sturdy ride for even the most intense workouts. I can even pedal 'out of the saddle' using my full body weight without worrying about losing balance or stability.
What I love most about my ProForm bike is the 16 different resistance levels that can be manually set or controlled through the iFIT program. During a workout, this feature enables me to switch things up and challenge myself in different ways. With the iFIT compatibility, I can work out with an instructor or even simulate a bike tour without ever leaving the comforts of my living room!
The iFIT program has been amazing in keeping me motivated to push harder during my workouts. The instructor's guidance on how to adjust my bike based on my body height has been valuable, and the classes that I have taken have been both fun and challenging. The added bonus is that my ProForm bike is surprisingly quiet. I can work out without disturbing my kids or my neighbors!
All in all, I am happy to say that my ProForm indoor bike is top-notch and has exceeded my expectations. I even received a discounted product in exchange for my honest opinion, which I was very grateful for. If you're looking for a reliable and versatile piece of exercise equipment that can be used at home, this ProForm bike is for you!
Pro-Form Treadmills: Inferior Materials and Inept Workmanship Make Them Nothing but Pieces of Junk
So, I recently purchased four different models of Pro-Form treadmills from their website - the 400 Series and 600 Series. At first glance, the website seemed pretty impressive and claimed their products were made of professional-grade construction materials and top-notch workmanship. Unfortunately, my experience with these treadmills was far from satisfactory.
Let me tell you, the claims from their website couldn't be further from the truth. Pro-Form treadmills are made with inferior materials and inept Chinese workmanship that make them nothing but pieces of junk. And in some cases, they are downright dangerous!
One particular model from the 400 Series will change speeds suddenly and without any warning. This manufacturing malfunction was present from the start. I have reported the issue to Icon Health & Fitness, who are supposed to be Customer Service for Pro-Form equipment, but all I have received from them is empty apologies. They do nothing to fix the problem or make things right.
To sum it up, Pro-Form markets and sells nothing but cheap junk. If you own one of their products, I would recommend getting rid of it while you can. If you have the option to get your money back, do so immediately. These horribly-made treadmills will malfunction and become useless long before they reach their potential lifespan. Remember, Pro-Form = Junk.
P.S. I plan to update this review soon to include videos of these treadmills in action so potential buyers can see for themselves what disasters they really are.
Pro-Form Review: Disappointing Delivery and Customer Service Experience
So, I wanted to write a review about my experience with Pro-Form and let others know what they might be getting into. I bought a HIIT H7 from their website back in November of 2021 and it was delivered in mid-December. Unfortunately, the new product was already rusted! That was a bummer, but I requested a replacement and Proform sent out a new one. They were prompt, I'll give them that.
Finally, on December 31st, I received an email telling me my replacement product was on its way. I got a call from someone at Proform on the 30th telling me that delivery would be the following day between 1 and 5 PM. I told them that it was supposed to be delivered between 9 am and 12 pm, but I could go up to 4 pm. They said they couldn't deliver then, and that they would reschedule with me. I asked for a call on the 31st to arrange that, and they agreed to call me back the following day. However, they never called me back!
So, I called Proform myself to inquire about it, and they tried to call the shipping company themselves, but no one was available. They asked me to follow up on it and gave me their number, which I thought was weird. After another week of no call back, I got fed up and cancelled my order.
Then, one week later, a driver called me to say he was 15 minutes away from delivering the product. I had already cancelled the order by this point, so I informed him that I could not accept the delivery and that Proform was supposed to send someone to come get the rest of the machine. I'm still waiting for that to happen, by the way.
I had to follow up again with Proform to schedule someone to come get the machine, and hopefully that will happen. This experience was just not what I expected, especially in this market situation. Needless to say, I will not be doing business with this company again. I'm quite displeased with everything that happened.
Pro-Form Bike Review: A Nightmare Experience with Faulty Product and Terrible Customer Service
I recently purchased a bike for my wife as a Christmas gift from Pro-Form and the whole experience turned out to be a complete disaster! When the bike arrived, it didn't work and I had to spend several hours talking to multiple departments just to get a replacement part. They suggested that I should install the part myself by watching a YouTube video, but I insisted that they should send a technician since it was still under warranty. After much back and forth, I finally got them to schedule a technician, who told me that they had sent the wrong part. This was incredibly frustrating!
I had to call them again to get the right part sent out, but I was told that everything was back-ordered and it would take several weeks. The first few customer service representatives I spoke with didn't even bother to tell me that, but eventually, I found out. After waiting for weeks, I eventually decided to return the bike. It took several weeks for them to process the return, and over a month later, I still haven't received my refund. I've had to call multiple times to try and get an update on my refund, and to top it all off, I was informed today that it will be another 7 to 10 days before I receive it.
I am extremely unhappy with the service I received from Pro-Form, and I will never buy anything from them again. If you're in the market for a new bike, I advise you to steer clear of this company and go for the popular one advertised on TV instead. My experience with Pro-Form has been an absolute nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone!
Pro-Form Coachlink E9.0 Elliptical Review: Great Equipment but Terrible Customer Support from Pro-Form
Costco.com is a great place to buy workout equipment from and that's where I bought my Pro-Form Coachlink E9.0 Elliptical from. I trusted Costco with my purchase because of their reputation as a reliable provider. However, after using the machine for a month, it started producing a loud "click" on each revolution. The click volume increased whenever the ramp was raised. This was really shocking and not what I expected at all.
I tried to get in touch with the tech support team at Pro-Form, but their hold time was insanely long. It was very frustrating. So instead, I wrote a long description of the problem on their web site service request. I received an immediate response from their automated email saying that someone would contact me. I was really relieved to know that they received my request. Unfortunately, no one ever contacted me. This happened back in March 2020 and I have made numerous attempts since then, but I've received the exact same "no response" as before.
As time went by, the problem continued to worsen and that's when it finally dawned on me to call Costco.com. Unfortunately, their "phone tree" does not support their exercise equipment, so I was directed to contact the manufacturer. This was really frustrating, and it felt like I was caught in a classic vicious cycle. I left a message at Costco.com, and so far, I haven't received a reply.
I have a feeling that they're going to wait until the unit is out of warranty and then tell me that it's out of warranty. I keep getting emails and even one postal asking if I'd like to purchase extended support, which is ridiculous given the current situation. I'm so disappointed in Pro-Form and their customer service.
I'm seriously considering taking the unit to my local Costco and dumping it on their front porch to deal with because this kind of treatment is just not acceptable. This is a great example of good equipment that was let down by terrible after-sales support. I hope Pro-Form will do something about this soon so that their customers can have reliable and consistent support.

Disappointing Pro-Form Treadmill: Wifi Issues, Poor Sound Quality, and More
I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out about this Pro-Form treadmill I bought. I shelled out some extra cash thinking I was gonna get a top-of-the-line product, but boy was I wrong. I've been dealing with wifi issues since I got it about a year ago. I was really pumped about the Ifit feature, which is why I went for the model with the 22" screen. But let me tell ya, it only worked about 20% of the time. I finally threw in the towel after a month of trying to get it to stay connected. So for the past 10 months, I've been stuck doing old-school manual workouts. Not exactly what I had in mind when I dropped all that dough on a fancy treadmill.
And don't even get me started on the speakers. The sound quality is straight-up terrible. And if I turn the fan up more than a couple notches, it starts making this loud noise and slows down the motor. It's like when you used to blast the AC in your car back in the 80s and it would totally kill your engine. Not cool, man.
I spent two whole years researching treadmills before I made this purchase, and now I'm kicking myself for not going with a different brand. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this Pro-Form treadmill to anyone. Save yourself the headache and go with something else.
ProForm/iFit Warranty Review: A Hassle to Get Repairs Done
I bought a ProForm treadmill from proform.com a couple of years ago and I also got the extended warranty for four years. However, about six months ago, I started hearing loud noises coming from the treadmill whenever I went faster than 3.0 mph. I was really worried about it, so I immediately contacted ProForm/iFit to use my warranty and have them send a technician to fix the problem.
But, let me tell you, it's been a real hassle dealing with them. For the past five months, we've been trading emails back and forth, and they keep asking me for the same information over and over again. I even sent them a video showing the noise, but they still haven't done anything about it.
Their latest email is just ridiculous. They're asking me to dismantle the treadmill, tighten all of the bolts, and take the motor cover off. I mean, come on! Isn't that what the technician should be doing? After all, it's under warranty!
If I don't get this issue resolved in the next month, I'm going to request a full refund of my warranty. It's just not fair that I have to deal with all of this hassle when I paid for a warranty to cover any issues that might come up. I'm really disappointed with ProForm/iFit and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Pro-Form Treadmill with iFit: A Complete Rip-Off and Waste of Money
I recently got myself a Pro-Form treadmill for my daughter, and I was excited to see that it came with the iFit option. I thought it would be a great addition to the machine, but boy was I wrong! The treadmill is completely dependent on the iFit subscription, and if you don't pay the whopping $45 per month, it's practically useless. Why can't they just have a simple switch to toggle between iFit and manual mode? It's frustrating to have to deal with the limitations of the manual mode, and it's not user-friendly at all.
The worst part is that the preset timer only allows for 10 minutes of use, which is ridiculous. If you want to run for longer, you have to go through the warm-up and cool-down process all over again. It's like they're punishing you for not buying the subscription. I paid a hefty $1800 for this machine, and it's been nothing but a headache. My daughter doesn't even use it, and I doubt I could sell it for half the price.
To make matters worse, it takes forever to load up and connect to wifi. I don't understand why these big companies have given in to iFit. It's like they're committing corporate suicide. I hope they go bankrupt. What a waste of my hard-earned money.
Overall, I would not recommend Pro-Form to anyone. The iFit subscription is a complete rip-off, and the machine is not worth the price. Save yourself the trouble and look for a different brand.
Pro-Form Carbon EL Elliptical: Sleek Design, but Shady Company - A Warning to Others
I gotta say, I was pretty excited to finally get my hands on a Pro-Form elliptical. I mean, I've used them at hotels and gyms before, and they always seemed like a solid choice. So when my Bowflex finally gave up the ghost, I figured it was time to take the plunge.
After reading a bunch of reviews, I settled on the Carbon EL. It looked sleek and had all the features I was after. And let me tell you, putting it together was a workout in itself! But my partner and I were determined, and we got it done in a few hours.
But here's where things went south. We fired up the machine, downloaded the app, and...nothing. The display lit up, but we couldn't get it to do anything. We tried checking all the connections, restarting the app, you name it. But no matter what we did, we couldn't get the darn thing to work.
Now, I'm not one to give up easily. I figured, hey, we've got a 5-year maintenance plan, right? So I tried to contact them to see if they could help. But guess what? No phone number to be found, and my emails went unanswered. All I got was an auto-reply saying they'd received my request. Not exactly reassuring.
After waiting for SIX WEEKS with no response, I decided enough was enough. I had to warn other folks about this shady company. And wouldn't you know it, right after I posted my review, they sent me some "special invitation" to extend my maintenance agreement. Talk about adding insult to injury!
So yeah, I wouldn't recommend Pro-Form to anyone. Save yourself the headache and go with a different brand.
ProForm's Lack of Communication and Missing Parts Lead to Disappointing Experience with Exercise Bike Purchase
ProForm has left a sour taste in my mouth after my recent experience with them. I was in the market for a new exercise bike and decided to order one online from their website. However, my initial excitement quickly turned to frustration as I encountered problem after problem.
Firstly, I was supposed to receive a phone call to schedule my bike's delivery, but I never received one. When I arrived back home from being out of town, I found my bike sitting in my driveway. To make matters worse, the bike arrived with over 12 missing parts.
I immediately contacted ProForm for the missing parts, but my order was still missing over 10 parts even after I ordered them. When I received the additional missing parts, they were the wrong ones and couldn't be used.
Feeling frustrated and fed up, I called ProForm again in hopes of finally receiving the correct parts so I could assemble my bike and use it. However, I was told that the part I needed was out of stock and that it would be easier to just replace the entire bike. So, I set up a replacement and once that was done, I was told that actually, the missing parts were in stock all along.
It has now been a month since I received my bike and I still cannot use it. Needless to say, I would not recommend ProForm to anyone at this time. The lack of communication, missing parts, and false promises have left me feeling disappointed and dissatisfied with this company.
Buyer Beware! A Review of the ProForm 22 Bike: Shoddy Unit, Costly Returns, and Damage to Credit Score
So, we bought this crazy ProForm 22 bike on the month of January in the year of 2021, and guess what? After the first time of using it, it conked out on us. Just like that! It's been months now, and we are still waiting for all the parts to come in even though we made a plethora of phone calls to the company. They told us that it would take only 7-10 business days but it has been almost half a year! We decided we wanted to return the contraption, but there's a catch though. The cost of returning this shoddy unit would cost us a whole $400! Can you even believe that? And what's even worst? We wanted to take a TD Loan to finance the bike, and now we're not making payments because what's the point of paying for something we can't even use? Unfortunately, this has resulted in our credit score dropping over 200 freaking points! It's a travesty. Looking at all our options now, we're thinking of getting a lawyer, small claims court, or the better business bureau involved so we can get out of this terrible mess. Just so you all know, be careful before buying anything from these guys. Buyer beware!
Pro-Form Equipment Review: Mix of Good and Bad, but Ultimately a Quality Investment
Our experience with Pro-Form is a mix of good and bad. We were excited to receive our order from proform.com, but our enthusiasm quickly dissipated when the delivery team arrived. They were not too keen on bringing the equipment into the house. My wife had to have a serious discussion with them to convince them to bring it in. They wanted to drop it off in the garage, but we wanted it in the house. Eventually, they relented and brought it inside, but it was an unpleasant experience.
Setting up the Pro-Form machine was not too challenging, but we did run into a small issue with the display system. We could not get it to work properly until we registered for the iFit program. Unfortunately, we were not interested in using the program, but it was a requirement for the display to work seamlessly. So, we reluctantly went through the registration process just to get the display running, but we did cancel the program immediately afterward.
Once we started using the Pro-Form machine, we were delighted with its performance. The workout programs are diverse, and the equipment itself is sturdy and reliable. We appreciate the customization options available, allowing us to personalize our workout experience. It's no wonder that Pro-Form is a well-known brand for fitness enthusiasts.
Overall, our experience with Pro-Form had its ups and downs, but we are happy with the end result. The delivery team could have been more accommodating, but the equipment itself is of high quality. It's a good investment for anyone looking to step up their fitness goals.
Pro-Form's Website: Do Not Order Fitness Equipment Here!
So, I bought an elliptical from Pro-Form's website back in January of this year. The website said that it would be shipped to me in early February. I was pretty stoked, since I'd been wanting an elliptical for a while and the price was really reasonable.
A month went by and I still hadn't received any updates on the shipment. So, I called the customer service line and asked them what was going on. That's when they hit me with the news: the machine was back-ordered and wouldn't be sent out until early April. I wasn't too happy about it, since I had been looking forward to using the elliptical, but I figured there wasn't much I could do about it.
Fast forward to mid-April, and I still hadn't received my elliptical. So, I called the customer service line again to ask for an update. This time, the representative on the other end of the line told me that my order had been cancelled during my last call. I was pretty upset at this news - how could my order have been cancelled by someone in shipping? And why didn't I receive an email confirming the cancellation of my order? I mean, I had been waiting for 4 months for a machine that was never going to arrive. This level of unprofessionalism is not acceptable in my books, and it was a complete waste of my time.
To sum it up, I absolutely do not recommend purchasing fitness equipment from Pro-Form's website. If you're looking to get an elliptical or any other machine, I'd suggest you look somewhere else. Save yourself the hassle, and get something that actually gets delivered on time.
Terrible Customer Service and Poor Product Quality - Pro-Form Review
I have to say that my experience with Pro-Form has been one of the worst I have ever had when it comes to customer service and product quality. I ordered the product about a year ago and have only been able to use it five times because of life events that have kept me from using it regularly. Despite this fact, I feel that my opinion on the product itself and Pro-Form's customer service is still valid and worth sharing.
Let me start by saying that I will never do business with Pro-Form again and I encourage anyone who is considering purchasing a product from them to look elsewhere. The issues I have had with the company and their product have caused me so much frustration, it's not worth it.
First of all, the RPM on the machine I purchased is broken. Pro-Form instructed me to test a Reed switch and I did so by moving it 1/8th of an inch at a time. However, the RPM still doesn't work properly and it controls the machine's speed, so the product is essentially useless without it. I have called customer service multiple times over the past few months and have been met with long wait times and poor communication. On two separate occasions, I waited on hold for over an hour only to be told that they could not hear me and hung up.
The customer service reps I spoke to were not helpful, and I never got any real answers as to how to fix my machine or who to contact for further support. Now, as if things weren't bad enough, I discover that the parts needed to repair my machine are covered under warranty, but Pro-Form will not send them to me without me paying $159 for a tech to verify the issues.
To make matters worse, this machine cost over $1,100 and now it's nothing more than a paper weight. Pro-Form's customer service is appalling and I feel completely taken advantage of. I would never recommend this product or company to anyone.
Mixed feelings about Proform HIT Trainer: Great features, but unreliable and frustrating repairs. Think twice before buying
I got my Proform HIT Trainer in January of last year, and it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride with this machine ever since. When it's working, it's great, and I really love using it as part of my workout routine. It's got a lot of great features and is super fun to use.
However, this thing keeps breaking down - I've had to get it repaired three times now, and each time it's taken ages to get it back up and running again. I'm talking like, over a month each time. That's way too long to be without a piece of fitness equipment, and it's really put a damper on my enthusiasm for Proform.
I will say that Proform has been pretty prompt about sending replacement parts whenever something goes wrong. But the repair process is just so frustrating that I don't even really care anymore. I even have an extended service agreement, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
I actually tried to leave a review on the Proform website expressing my disappointment, but it never showed up. I guess they don't like negative feedback or something? It feels a bit shady to me.
Honestly, I'm starting to think about getting rid of this thing altogether and finding a more reliable product. It's just not worth the hassle and the downtime. So my advice to anyone considering a Proform product would be to think twice and spend a little extra money on a machine that you know will be dependable in the long run.
Mixed Review for Pro-Form Elliptical: Solid Equipment, Bad iFit Software
I just got myself a Pro-Form elliptical machine in the fall and it feels amazing. The assembly was a bit tricky but once I got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing. I was excited to use the iFit software that came with the machine as it looked promising. The software, however, turned out to be a different story altogether – it was bad, real bad. The user interface is difficult to navigate and the trainers are not as motivating as I thought they would be. The worst part is that you are stuck with the software, there is no way to remove it from your equipment. So, if you want to use it, you have to put up with it.
From what I gather, Pro-Form and iFit are not one and the same thing. It kind of worries me that the software is outsourced. I’m not sure what that means in terms of security and privacy. It also irks me that I need to be connected online all the time for the software to work. I wonder if they are selling my data to insurance companies or advertisers. Hmmm…
All in all, the equipment is solid and I am happy with it. The software, however, leaves a lot to be desired. It is not free after the promotion period, so if you are thinking of purchasing a Pro-Form machine, beware that the iFit software is the ONLY option available. I would suggest researching more if you want a variety of software options.
If it were up to me, I would not recommend Pro-Form.
Pro-Form Review: Terrible Customer Service Experience, Beware!
I done ordered me a fancy Pro-Form elliptical contraption from them folks on March 13th, thinkin' I'd be sweatin' up a storm on it in no time. Them folks told me it'd be arrivin' 'round April 4th, so I was fixin' to get my exercise on, y'all.
But then, on April 10th, I done got a call from their customer service folks who told me that my elliptical had been sittin' in a wear-house since March 31st and might take them another 2-3 weeks to ship it, or maybe not, they couldn't say for sure. And y'all, their apology was about as frigid as an iceberg!
I done tried to get in touch with them since to find out what's happ'nin' with my purchase, but they ain't telled me nothin'. No updates, no nothin'. And listen, I done paid over a grand for that machine, so I don't think it's too much to ask for them to keep me in the loop.
I can't speak to the quality of the elliptical itself, 'cause I ain't laid eyes on it yet. But what I can say is that Pro-Form's customer service is mighty poor, and they seems to have no regard for the folks who done put their trust (and their cash) in their hands. Avoid them folks if y'all can.
Extended warranty from Proform fails to deliver - Unreliable Repair Service
I got me a Proform treadmill at Costco.com, it's aight you know, no complaints. But then I also got me that extended warranty from Proform.com, just to be safe you know what I'm sayin'. Anyway, about two years into dat warranty, the darn belt breaks. And das not supposed to happen, right? So I hit up them Proform folks, and they tells me dat my warranty is now being handled by Icon Fitness. Okay, okay, no biggie, as long as it gets fixed right? So Icon Fitness sends the parts to fix the belt, but they tells me dat Altitude Fitness Repair in Colorado is gonna be the ones to fix it. Alright, cool. But uh, it's been like a whole month now and nobody's comin' to fix da damn thing. I done sent dem emails, texts, and even got on da web chat wit 'em. But no one's respondin', no one's comin'. It's like they don't even care dat I done paid for the warranty plan and now I ain't gettin' no service. Costco offered to take the treadmill back, but I don't want dat. I just want ProForm, Icon Fitness, and Altitude Fitness Repair in Colorado to step up and do da right thing ya know? Ain't nobody interested in shirkin' their responsibility.
Pro-Form Review: Beware of Delayed Delivery, Poor Packaging & Product Issues
I recently placed an order for a treadmill and a bike from Pro-Form's official website (proof attached as photo). While the bike arrived quickly, I had to wait for almost 40 days for the treadmill to be delivered. The delivery company they used was a nightmare. They planned two appointments for delivery, and I had to cancel my work to make sure I was present for the assembly team. However, they never showed up or gave any update about the delivery. Finally, they delivered it after 40 days of placing the order.
Although, when I opened the package for the bike, I was disappointed to see the packaging was horrendous! It was not protective and some parts were even missing. On using the treadmill, I noticed it kept restarting several times. On checking Google, I realized that issues like these are known to happen with their products. So, my advice to you would be to carry out thorough research before making a purchase. Look at the reviews of the shipping company Pro-Form uses - select express. Reviews will give you the idea how bad their quality is and the poor service they provide. Additionally, they may charge you $250 or more if you opt to cancel the order due to delay issues like the ones I experienced.
If you are planning to buy fitness equipment from Pro-Form, do yourself a favor and check different reviews beforehand. It's better to be safe than sorry.
