Proactiv Mixed Results with Proactiv: Good at First, Then Caused Skin Irritation and Poor Customer Service

I tried Proactiv for my daughter's skin and it was good for the first 2 months. However, after that, it started to burn her skin and made it red and hurtful the day after using it. I called to cancel the product, but the representative did not believe me and said he had never heard of that before. It was frustrating to have so much extra product on hand due to the auto ship feature, which is terrible unless you want twice as much as you need. After months of trying, I finally got them to cancel and refund some of my money. However, after 4 months, I started getting charged again and had to cancel my debit card to stop the charges. It was a frustrating experience overall.

Proactiv Proactiv Review: Great Products, Unreliable Delivery System

I've been a fan of Proactiv for quite some time now. I've been using their products for years and I must say, they work wonders for my skin. However, I've had a few issues with their monthly delivery system. There have been times when my items didn't show up, but I was still billed for them. It's frustrating because it's impossible to prove that the item wasn't delivered.

To make matters worse, I was double billed for a whole year! It was a nightmare trying to sort it out. I had to make six calls to customer service, fight the bills through my credit card company, and even had to turn off my credit card to stop the double billing. It was a hassle, to say the least.

This isn't the first time this has happened to me with Proactiv. It's happened twice now and I'm not willing to take any more chances. I now purchase my items at the mall, through eBay, or through Amazon. It's just easier that way.

Despite the issues with their delivery system, I still think Proactiv is a great product. It's just a shame that their monthly delivery system is so unreliable. If they could fix that issue, I would be more than happy to continue using their products.

Proactiv Proactiv Review: A Miracle for Acne, But Beware the Smell

I gotta say, Proactiv is the bomb! I've been struggling with adult acne for a hot minute now, and let me tell you, it's been a real pain in the butt. But ever since I started using Proactiv, my skin has been looking so much better. It's like a miracle in a bottle, I swear.

Now, I know some folks might be a little hesitant about signing up for the monthly club thing, but honestly, it's not that bad. They send me three months worth of product at a time, and I just make monthly payments on it. It's way easier than having to cough up all that cash at once, you know what I mean? Plus, they always throw in some free gifts with every shipment, which is pretty sweet.

That being said, there is one thing that bugs me about Proactiv. And that's the smell. I mean, don't get me wrong, the product works great. But man, does it stink! If I don't put on makeup, I'll be smelling like Proactiv all day long. And let me tell you, that's not exactly a pleasant scent.

But overall, I'd say Proactiv is definitely worth checking out if you're struggling with acne. Just be prepared for the smell, that's all I'm saying.

Proactiv Proactiv Review: Effective Products but Terrible Customer Service

Proactiv is a popular acne treatment that can be purchased from various websites. It is advisable not to buy from the Proactiv website as they require monthly payments and often send more products than necessary. However, some of their products are quite effective. Unfortunately, their customer service is terrible. They are unhelpful and seem to be reading from a script. It took a lot of effort to cancel my account, and I had to threaten legal action.

Despite the poor customer service, I still like two of their products and continue to purchase them from eBay or Amazon. This way, I can get them at a lower price and only buy what I need.

In summary, I would caution against signing up for an account with Proactiv due to their poor customer service. However, if you find a product that works for you, it may be worth purchasing from a third-party seller.

Proactiv Proactiv Review: Great Products, But Autoship Policy Needs Improvement

Proactiv is a skin care company that was created by two doctors. I have been using their products for a while now and I must say, they have worked wonders for my skin. However, there is one thing that I am not too happy about and that is their autoship policy. It can be quite overwhelming and expensive.

If you are not familiar with their autoship policy, let me explain. When you sign up for Proactiv, you are automatically enrolled in their autoship program. This means that they will send you a new kit every 30 or 90 days, depending on the plan you choose. The idea behind this is to ensure that you never run out of their products and always have them on hand.

The problem with this is that sometimes the new kit will be shipped out before your scheduled due date. This can be quite frustrating, especially if you are not prepared for it. Your bank or credit card will be charged for the kit, even if it is outside of its scheduled due date. This can cause your bank account to go into a tailspin.

I have learned that nationwide offices search Proac/iv accounts and if an autoship date is within a week or two weeks coming due, the new kit will be shipped out. This can be quite confusing and frustrating, especially if you are on a tight budget. The cost of Proactiv can add up quickly, especially if autoships are doubled or tripled.

Considering inflation, there is no room for shady autoship errors. It is important for Proactiv to be transparent about their autoship policy and ensure that their customers are not being charged for products that they did not order. While I love their products, I would appreciate it if they could be more upfront about their autoship policy and ensure that their customers are not being taken advantage of.

In conclusion, Proactiv is a great skin care company that has helped me achieve clear and healthy skin. However, their autoship policy can be quite overwhelming and expensive. It is important for them to be transparent about their policy and ensure that their customers are not being charged for products that they did not order.

Proactiv Proactiv's Terrible Customer Service: A Review

This place, Proactiv, has got to be the worst when it comes to customer service. I mean, seriously, they messed up and shipped my product to the wrong house! Can you believe that? And then, without even telling me, they refunded the money to a gift card that I no longer had. I mean, come on, how am I supposed to know that they did that?

So, after having a new gift card shipped to me, I called them up and paid them again. I thought everything was all good, but then a few months went by and I still hadn't received my shipment. So, I called them up again and you won't believe what they told me. They said that the payment was denied because I only had the amount they had refunded to the card, and they were trying to charge me more!

Can you believe that? I mean, I stayed on the phone with the woman for over 30 minutes just for her to tell me that there was nothing that they could do. I mean, seriously, what kind of customer service is that? She told me that I was going to have to find another form of payment because their system takes a fee off the card, and then charges the card the amount before it puts the fee back on.

Well, let me tell you, my card only had enough for the amount, and not the fee. So, of course, the card gets declined! Oh, but she did do me a favor and took me off of the auto shipment list! Oh joy. I mean, seriously, is that supposed to make up for all the trouble they caused me?

I told her that she could just have the crap back. I mean, using the product isn't worth dealing with the customer service people. They really need to get their act together if they want to keep customers.

Proactiv Proactiv.com Review: Poor Customer Service and Auto Delivery System Lock-In

Proactiv.com is a website that sells skincare products, but it seems like their main goal is to keep you locked into their Auto Delivery System. Once you're in, you're just an Account Number to them. If you have any issues with their products, don't expect much help from their Customer Service team. They'll give you robotic responses and won't do much to resolve your problem. In fact, they don't even have a Managerial Escalation Staff to help you out.

I recently had an issue with Proactiv.com where I needed to return a product. They took 29 days to mail me a 'Return Authorization Label' within the USA. When I asked if they could expedite the shipping, they told me there was nothing they could do and that I would just have to wait. As a customer, this was frustrating and I felt like they didn't care about my needs.

In the 21st Century, customers have many options when it comes to skincare products. I agree with the previous reviewer that it's important to vote with your wallet and support companies that provide good service. I've decided to stop using harsh chemical/toxic products and look for healthier organic non-GMO skincare alternatives. I've even switched to Amazon for my skincare needs.

Overall, I think Proactiv.com has lost a customer due to their lack of customer service. If you're looking for a company that cares about their customers, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Proactiv Proactiv Skincare Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Website Experience

I recently decided to switch up my skincare routine before the start of the school year. After hearing some positive feedback from family members, I decided to give Proactiv a try. I placed my order and received a confirmation email stating that my order had been processed and that I would receive an email about shipping in a few days. However, days turned into a week and I still had not received any shipping information. I decided to reach out to their customer service team, but unfortunately, the website was not user-friendly and it took me a while to find the chat option.

After finally connecting with a representative, I was informed that my box had already been shipped but I just hadn't received any email about it. This was a bit frustrating, but I was willing to overlook it. However, when I received my shipment, I realized that I was missing an entire step in the three-step routine. I immediately contacted customer service again and after a lengthy chat, they agreed to send me the missing product.

At this point, I was starting to feel a bit skeptical about Proactiv. I had used other skincare brands in the past that didn't require this much effort. I decided to call their customer service line to see if I could cancel my account and receive a refund. The representative I spoke to informed me that my address was incorrect in their system, which was strange because I had checked multiple times and it was correct.

To make matters worse, the representative tried to convince me to keep my account by offering me a 20% discount on my next order. I felt like I was being tricked into keeping my account, which was not what I wanted. At this point, I had lost all trust in Proactiv and decided to switch back to my previous skincare routine with Curology.

Overall, my experience with Proactiv was not great. While the products themselves may work well, the customer service and website were not user-friendly. I would recommend looking into other skincare brands before giving Proactiv a try.

Proactiv Proactiv Review: My Experience with the Acne Treatment System

So, I decided to give Proactiv a try. I didn't have terrible acne, but I did have breakouts from time to time. I figured, why not give it a shot?

I bought the product and started using it on my face. At first, I wasn't sure if the burning sensation I felt was a sign that it was working or if I was just being foolish for buying something I saw on TV. I mean, it burned every time I used it. (I know I should have stopped after the first use, but I wasn't sure.)

After two weeks of using it, I had to stop because the burning sensation was too intense. Then, I noticed something even worse - more pimples! And more, and more. I wanted a pimple-free face, not an oil fest. I'm not joking.

And what about that "free gift sample" of green tea? What a joke! After washing my face step by step, I put that stuff on and it felt like I had just cleaned my face for no reason. Talk about greasy!

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it worked for a lot of people, but at the same time, half of them are probably mad as hell to have a tomato face.

The first time I was charged, it was only $19.95, but without notice, they billed me for four months' worth of product! My husband's account was overdrawn twice because of it. And then they had the nerve to send a notice almost a week and a half later! Who does that?

I'm not going to badmouth where I shopped because at one point, the product did work just fine. But after two weeks, I felt like it got worse. I still have the product in the bathroom, but I haven't touched it since they sent the first half of the four months' worth of product.

To anyone thinking about buying this stuff, don't be fooled by the celebrities that appear on TV. Really think about it because if this happens to you, you'll be just as angry. And to those who bought it and it worked, I'm glad it did. That's the whole point of this product, isn't it?

Sincerely,
A not-so-mad-but-not-too-happy customer.

Proactiv Proactiv Review: Terrible Experience, Unwanted Packages, and Wrecked Credit

I had a terrible experience with Proactiv. I decided to try their trial pack back in January of 2015, but it wasn't worth the money, so I cancelled my account. However, in April of that same year, I received a package from them that I didn't order. Since I didn't return it, I ended up paying for it, even though my account was cancelled. I cancelled my account again, but in July of 2015, they sent me another unwanted package from a twice-cancelled account, charging me $138.41 USD. I didn't give them my credit card information, so they couldn't charge me, but they still sent me the package. This time, I got smart and didn't even accept it from the post office. I returned it straight to the sender.

For two years, I have been fighting with Proactiv. They have wrecked my credit by bringing in a collections agency. I received another letter today saying that I owed them money, and I had had enough. I called them, but they were rude and unwilling to help. I spoke to a supervisor who said that they didn't get the package back, and that I owed them money. They said that the collection agency would get it. I was freaking out by this time. Then, I had a lightbulb moment. I asked for the tracking number, and I was told that they use Landmark Global to send packages. I got the tracking number and tracked the package on my computer. I had proof that I sent the package back, and that they received it. I took screenshots of the proof and demanded to speak to another supervisor.

The second supervisor tried to tell me that I had six months to dispute the charges. I couldn't believe it. I told him that I had proof, but he didn't care. It was only when I threatened to sue and add pain and suffering for the two years of hell they put me through that things finally changed in my favor. They assured me that my account was clear, but I would never order from them again. They said that they would contact the collection agency and set things right. I told them that if I got another letter from them or the agency, I was suing anyway. I would not recommend Proactiv to anyone.

Proactiv Disappointed with Proactiv's Customer Service and Mistakes on Orders

Been using Proactiv for 14 years now and I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out. The website was down for weeks and when I finally got through, they made a mistake on my last two orders and refused to fix it. I mean, come on, I've been a loyal customer for over a decade and this is how they treat me? Not cool. I had to cancel my account because of this and I'm just really disappointed.

Proactiv Disappointing Results and Terrible Customer Service: My Proactiv Review

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with Proactiv. My son has been struggling with some mild acne, so I thought I'd give it a try. But let me tell you, it did absolutely nothing for him. Total waste of money.

And to make matters worse, the customer service was just awful. I had some questions about the product and it took forever to get a response. And when I finally did, they weren't even helpful. Just a bunch of generic answers that didn't really address my concerns.

And don't even get me started on the delivery. They claim it'll be there in a certain amount of time, but it took twice as long. I mean, come on. If you're gonna make promises, at least try to keep them.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Proactiv to anyone. Save your money and try something else.

Proactiv Mixed Feelings About Proactiv: Dark Spot Remover & Rotating Brush Review

I recently tried out Proactiv's "Dark Spot Remover" and I have to say, it was a total letdown. I was really hoping it would help fade some of my acne scars, but unfortunately, it didn't seem to do much of anything. When I reached out to customer service to express my disappointment and cancel my account, they suggested that I try their "Clarifying Mask" instead. I was a bit annoyed that they didn't offer any compensation for the product that didn't work, but I decided to give the mask a shot anyway.

As for the free gift with purchase, the rotating brush, I have to say I was pretty disappointed with that too. After just 30 days of use, the brush started to crack and wouldn't stay in place during use. It was frustrating to deal with, especially since it was supposed to be a bonus item.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about Proactiv. While I appreciate that they offer a range of products for acne-prone skin, I was disappointed with the results of the "Dark Spot Remover" and the quality of the rotating brush. I'm not sure if I'll continue using their products in the future, but I'll definitely be more cautious before making any purchases.

Proactiv Proactiv: A Nightmare Experience - My Honest Review

I had a really bad experience with Proactiv. I decided to try their free trial, but when I wanted to cancel it, it was really hard. I had to go through a lot of hoops to get it done. A couple of months later, they sent me more facewash and told me I had to pay over $100 for it. I was so mad! The product didn't even work for me, which made it even worse. I was so frustrated that I had to file a complaint with the BBB, which I've never done before. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Proactiv Overpriced and Overhyped: My Honest Review of Proactiv

This here product is quite pricey, with a subscription that automatically renews and you gotta pay for shipping too! It ain't the miracle cure they make it out to be. Proactiv ain't no better than what you can get at the drugstore for a measly $10, or if you're looking at a 90-day supply, $30. Is it worth a hundred bucks? No way, Jose! But if you're into giving your hard-earned cash to make some bigwig corporation richer, then by all means, knock yourself out! The big boss will surely appreciate it!

Proactiv Misleading Sales Tactics: Beware of Hidden Monthly Payments and Recurring Orders!

This product seems to be good, but their "sales techniques" are not fair! It is not clear that you are signing up for three monthly payments instead of one payment, or that you are automatically enrolled! I called to cancel, and it was a hassle. They told me that it is clear on the checkout, but it wasn't clear to me! I even looked back at my confirmation email after I ordered, and it says nothing about three payments or recurring orders! I recommend staying away from the website!

Proactiv Proactiv Review: Effective for Moderate Acne, Refining Mask a Game-Changer

I gotta say, Proactiv worked pretty well for me. My acne wasn't too crazy, just kinda in the middle, and it definitely helped clear it up. But here's the thing - I use the Refining Mask way more than they tell you to, and that seems to really help with getting rid of pimples. So if you're gonna try Proactiv, I'd recommend using that mask more often than they suggest.

Now, if your acne is really bad - like, more than 8 pimples bad - you might wanna go see a dermatologist. 'Cause let's be real, no over-the-counter acne medicine is gonna do much for that kind of serious acne. But if you're somewhere in the middle like I was, Proactiv could be worth a shot.

I will say, though, that it's not a miracle cure or anything. You gotta be consistent with using it, and even then, it might not work for everyone. But hey, it worked for me, so maybe it'll work for you too.

Proactiv Proactiv Review: Decent Product, Deceptive Website Tactics

Proactiv is an alright product, it's not the best but it's not the worst either. Even the sensitive version can be tough on sensitive skin. However, the real problem lies with the sneaky tactics they use on their website. If you order a sample, they automatically sign you up for a recurring program without your consent. It's a total scam! And if you try to return the product, they'll claim that you signed up for it and won't pay for the return charges. It's a total headache! If you're interested in trying Proactiv, I suggest buying it from Target or Ulta instead of their website. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle.

Proactiv Mixed Results with Proactiv: My Experience with the Acne Treatment

I had a time when I was really into my skin. I thought I'd give Proactiv a try. I heard that things might get worse before they get better, but I wasn't going to wait around for that. Proactiv Customer Service

I love the Proactiv cleanser, however their customer service is horrible. To get anything done is like pulling teeth when talking to the representatives. It makes you want to cancel and not buy their products. Their website chat team is just as bad. I wanted to change my subscription and customize it. They take down that function temporarily according to their website. I asked the chat rep to just change my subscription. She ordered 3 cleanser and charged my card. I called to get it fix. The service rep canceled the order however when I wanted her to change my subscription and ship it to me she claimed she needed my card. Um no use the one I have set up automatically. She said I need to go online to hit the ship tab. Went online it'd still showing my regular 3 step package. It didn't use to be this bad and hard. I've been with this company since 2009. They have gone down.

Desired outcome: Better Trained Customer Service Staff

Proactiv Returning unused product

Proactiv used to work well for me. Lately it has left my skin dry and flaky. I pushed the order date back to as far as I could on the subscription service so that I could decide if I was going to change products. I’d check it monthly to make sure the date was pushed back. Product still ended up being sent. I decided at this point that I had to cancel my subscription. I already had my previous containers sealed and unused in my bathroom closet.

Nothing on the website would actually let me cancel, which was extremely frustrating. I finally located a phone number and tried calling. I was hung up on multiple times in a row. When I FINALLY got someone who did not hang up on me, he said he could cancel my subscription, but I still owed money. I told him fine, just charge my card.

I’m frustrated that this person KNEW I didn’t want this product (as I had explained to him what had occurred) and now I find out there is a 60 day money back guarantee. He should have let me know. Instead, he said nothing and told me I owed more money. I just received yet another charge from proactive earlier this week. I now have two, three piece sets of product sitting in my bathroom closet sealed and unused.

So basically I tried to not receive more product, it was still sent. I tried to cancel and was hung up on over and over again. I got someone on the phone, he told me I had to pay more money for product I didn’t want. He did not make me aware of the return policy. Now I’m out money and have perfectly usable product wasting space.

Desired outcome: Refund to return unused product

Proactiv returned product not refunded; still trying to collect

Proactiv sent an auto ship package without consent or authorization with a bill for $112.00. When I contacted them they said to simply send back for a refund. I did just that and cancelled the "membership." It has been two months. I returned all the product in the original, unopened package WITH a tracking number to ensure it went to the correct place and have yet to hear from them or receive a refund. Additionally, they are now trying to bill me for an additional $32.00. They have threatened collections if it is not paid. I try to reply back to their emails and It will not go through. They are contacting me through a one-way email system.

Desired outcome: Would like my refund and stop the harassing emails

Proactiv Company will not cancel my subscription

Proactive has been very hard to deal with concerning the cancellation of my subscription. I have been trying since May of 2021 to cancel but for reasons like website is changing, no one answers the phone, or can't get on website, won't let me login or cancel online. I finally got in touch with someone about the end of July 2021 and the customer "agent" said she would cancel my membership, but just this week they have charged my card and sent another kit out that I did not order. After several hours of trying to get someone on the phone, the "agent" said there was no cancellation call noted. I even told the agent in July that I hope they do not send me anymore products. But they did. I have tried several times on their website to even take my payment information off but it will not allow me to do that, nor will it allow me to cancel. When you do press the cancel button, it takes you back to the same screen you started with. I have also tried to chat with someone online using the chat widget but again not one time has anyone even opened the chat box on the other end. Other than calling the bank to cancel my card, I have no idea how to stop this company from charging me for something I no longer want. I just want them to cancel my subscription. That is all. Furthermore, I have reached out by email to the customer service part of the website on two occasions and no one has returned my email or contacted me in any way. How do I stop this from this company.
I can attach the screen shot of one of the times I reached out on the website, but I don't have the first one I wrote. I am also attaching the email that I sent as well.

Desired outcome: Cancel my subscription

Proactiv 40,000 missing diamonds for home design game on my kindle

I ordered proactive with visa c.f. Ending in 2822. That order did not go through. For 51, 000 diamonds. I got a new c.f. Ending in 3554 and when I reordered a week later the coins promised were 91, 000 diamonds, but they only put 51, 000 diamonds. I contacted them by email and sent complaint here as well to no avail! I've paid the $29.95 for initial kit and then got a 90 day supply in my next kit that I paid additional $110+ tax for.as a gift for my niece. But they still refuse to honor my second purchase and send the additional 40, 000 diamonds to the game inbox

Proactiv proactive

I ordered a proactive product about 2 years ago and never did I let them automatically take my credit card information and they did so for the following year I was getting packages that were being payed off my bank account without me even noticing when I called and argued about this issue they said they were sorry and my card was going to be cancelled I felt like taking them to court for taking over $1, 000 dollars in one year. But I'm a busy woman I didn't have time for all that and now I'm getting a due bill from this agency sayin I owe $.87.88 for what? For being part of a fraud from proactive I need to talk to someone and get this off my name this isn't right and I will not tolerate this

Proactiv proactive damaged my daughter's face!

My 13 year old daughter started using proactive for about a week and a half to 2 weeks.. We got the proactive because she had bumps on her forehead that bothered her appearance and she wanted to get rid of it... Well a week or two went by after using proactive and she broke out really bad! She now has liver splashes and bumps all over her face, skin is very irritated and burns, eyes are blood shot red, her skin tone is uneven, she doesnt even wanna attend school because shes ashame of her appearance.. I called proactive and their response was... What do you want us to do! Well I know what im gone do... Im getting a lawyer! If your products are no good, dont advertise it, dont sell it! Dont continue selling products tht is messing up people's images! My poor child has to go out in public like this and me as a mother I will do what ever I have to do to make it right for my child!

Proactiv horrible customer service! avoid at all costs!!!

The company has the WORST customer service I have ever seen, literally. One cannot update or change any information on the account page, and talking with the online chat reps or phone reps is pointless.

They promised to place my account on hold in December 2017, but never sent a confirmation email (I stupidly trusted their word) and continued to send shipments. When I tried to cancel the account after the automatic shipment in April 2018 that I never agreed to or was notified about, I encountered HUGE problems. Beginning with the online chat rep, I reiterated dozens of times that I did not want to continue the product before the rep finally agreed to cancel. Then, all I got were promises that the account was canceled but no confirmation email has been received, the account page remains active with future shipments and charges listed, and I am unable to delete my credit card info or update my account profile. The repetitive refrain is that it takes "24-48 hours" for any update or email to send, which is simply a bald-faced lie in this day of computer technology, but even if a lame Proactiv practice, it has been well over 48 hours with NOT ONE EMAIL CONFIRMATION or update to my account page.

I asked to return the shipment and got the run around there, even though it says a "60-day money back guarantee" right on the home page. I am still waiting to be reimbursed for the returned product and am not holding my breath. Other minor annoyances include having to reset my password EVERY single time I log in, and that the sending a message via the contact page is super glitchy.

I will admit that the product is good. I just do not like automatic shipments, so only gave it a shot as a reduced price offer. I've trialed many products this way and have never encountered such troubles with canceling. I cannot stress strongly enough how BAD, BAD, BAD Proactiv is from the customer service standpoint! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
