Just a total bunch of nitwits. In proxibid (who are there enough complaints written on this site as well!) you are supposed to use the "pre bid feature" as a sub for the bidder himself. Meaning every time someone bids your PRE BID bids for you. But these dopes put my TOP bid in straight away. Plus they actually don't know the different between a Pennant ( a banner you would hang on a wall) and a pendant you wear around your neck. Very clueless group.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Proxibid's customer service is a total joke. I've never written on an online complaint board but feel this justifies one. Every employee I have ever spoken with is clueless and sounds like Obama- no answers that make even the most common of sense. Proxibid's onsite bidders (controllers bidding on our behalf onsite) don't even pay attention sometimes because they were, and I quote "Distracted."
I'm waiting for a real auction service to eventually develop and I'll be there along with every other Proxibid user (past user that is) as well as most of the other auction site users.

Proxibid is a rip off you will get shafted bad with shipping and handling
DONT DO IT
This company is a rip off DONT DO IT you will get F*d on shipping and handling all of them will RIP U a new one proxibid SUCKS
w. yoder auction llc will do worse in shipping fees. This should be illegal how do we fight back?
I agree that there's so much legal-ese and convoluted buying and shipping terms, I just HAD to Google them for complaints before placing a real bid again. Up to this point I had bid unsuccessfully on several items only to have my good-faith bid retracted and the items placed into lots, which I did not win!?! IMHO they are a scam.
On saturday october 22, 1911, I bid on Debolt Auction Service, Inc Auction defined as (coins, currency, gold & sterling jewelry). I bid of lot 335 defined as 2 - 1921 peace dollars. The next day I received an internet invoice defining lot 335 as 2 - 1921 peace dollars. Yesterday, I received the coins, but the invoice was changed to 2 - 1921 morgan dollars (the dollars were 1921 morgans)..I called the debolt auction and they offers my money back. For those of you who bid actions you know sometimes you pay too much and some times too little. However, I do not accept the description to be changed after the auction.
Proxibid’s has no control over the auction houses...the auction houses charge diamond delivery charges and pack the item like it's a lump of coal---
The auction houses have no control over UPS or USPS ...you may be complaining to the wrong people...plus most of the auction houses I have dealt with are more than happy to have me come pick up the item. Saves them a lot time and money.
Please be warned if you purchase anything from the Proxybid website / live auctions, you could be a victim like myself. I recently participated in one of their live auctions (Lucky auctions, farmersville, Ohio) via the internet. I purchased 9 items totaling approx. $500 + $80 shipping.
Six of the 9 items arrived damaged beyond salvage (antique clocks & lamps). The items were packed by the auction company(and seriously think a class of 3rd graders could have done better...they actually used an old pair of mens boxers for packing materials - yes...mens boxers, used!), thus Ups would not take responsibility, the auction company owner stated "we are an auction co. not a shipping co".
I took the issue up with proxybid, who has no authority or muscle to handle any issues. They just passed the buck, taking NO responsibility, nor enforcing the crappy auction co. (Lucky Auction co. Luciano Montoya) to take any responsibility.
To make a long story short, I the unsuspecting buyer was left holding the bag (or should I say box of damaged merchandise as well as the immediate debit to my bank account.) And, yes I tried to dispute it with my bank with no such luck because it was not "fraud" ...
I've never made a complaint on one of these boards before but this has to be heard I bid on a item labeled vials of gold flakes from SUNSHINE AUCTIONS address listed as 3671 Adamsville ave Calabasas CA 91302 (which apon research is a residential address not a legit auction house) (SCAM) when I received the item it was a joke actually it was pieces of gold LEAF flakes big differents I bid a top pre bid of 500 because I thought the item was going to be quality vials of gold flakes not kids trinkets the max bid at auction was 250 I revived an invoice for 590 my max pre bid plus an extra 90 of which was for Internet fee and shipping I got in touch with proxybid and they told me I needed to go get the joke of an item appraised then get in contact with the auction house SUNSHINE AUCTIONS and hope they give me my money back to this day after numerous calls and messages I've received no reply and no help from proxybid do you're self a favor and stay far away from these company's if you want to save yourself money and the humiliation of being scammed by these low life's thief's
I spent a lot of money on proxibid and had to find out on my own which sellers were good and which were bad. Do not deal with LIBERTY STOP, or MASCARI. Both have shipping problems if you "hammer" too low. MASCARI shipped right away when I bought 3 gold coins at the right price, then the next day I bought a PCGS AU58 Princess Gold Dollar, and never got it because it hammered at 250... books at over 500. They held onto it to resell it for more. I had to file a dispute with Discover which takes over a month. LIBERTY STOP did the same thing on 3 10 ounce silver bars. They hammered to low and it took me 2 months wrangling with proxibids customer service and Discover card and they finally sent them. It's a joke. SILVERTOWNE and CECEs ships in three days ALL THE TIME. I've constantly complained to proxibid that they have no rating system for sellers, llke ebay, new buyers are on their own, and that really sucks. IF I deal with proxibid again it will only be with the sellers I know are ok. Otherwise they can kiss my ###. I'm fed up with them. OH- PROXIBID DOESNT REPLY TO YOUR EMAILS. Don't waste your time.
MASCARI... I WANT MY COIN I PAID FOR OVER A MONTH AND A HALF AGO. YOU GOT MY MONEY. GIVE IT UP ###S
I bid fast and furious with someone on what I thought was a 1951 Proof set maybe worth 550. One went for 275 and mine stopped at 250. Wow I got the other one. when invoice came it said 1961 Proof set for around the 300. that set is worth 30. Mascari would not call back so I had to cancel my cc. Tempe coins make their money off shipping little dinky orders. Not sure why Proxibid allows them. Tempe sent the wrong order and has not called back. I will post on Proxibid's Facebook page.
We paid upfront at Silvertowne and they were going to ship our gold coins to us. We received nothing and we lost &20.000. Yes, that's right twenty thousand dollars. We tried to everyone involved to help us and we were told it's our word against theirs. Do not do business with this company. Read the rip offs first before making any buys.
Att: Customer Service...I would like for Proxibid to delete my account..and send me a confirmation regarding the deletion...
You bid on items, win, pay for it, but you never receive it.
Call up the auction house and they claim it was sent to the wrong address. Really?
You just shipped $500 worth or merchandise to a wrong address and think that it is not a big deal, just brush it off.
So what the auction house does is put an item up, if it sells for lower than what they want it sold for, they claim that they shipped it to the wrong address, sorry. This way they can ensure they get the price they want while still looking legitimate.
The will give you your money back. What you cannot get back is the time you spent, sometimes the whole day, following the auction. You cannot get that time back, you cannot be compensated for that.
I was registered as a bidder on Proxy Bid. I bid on three cars on a Monday, this was 4-5 days before the auction started on Friday. I flew to Texas to visit my daughter on Thursday. I received 3 e-mails that I had been outbid on the 3 cars I bid on. Then I received an email saying I had won a bid on a care I had never bid on. Less than a minute later I got another that the e-mail had been sent by accident. That I had not won a bid.
I thought nothing of it. I notice that my emai was going to trash when I closed it. I had just been hacked.
When I got back home on Monday. I got an e-mail from Proxy that they wanted almost 30 grand for a car I won the bid on. I explained the situation, they told me I was still liable.
They did not see how my email could have been hacked. My god the head of the CIA's email was hacked the day she called. I went down and filed a police report and sent them a copy. They said they didnt care they wanted the money. I told the girl, Jennifer, that she had screwed up and was looking for someone to blame. I dumped the sight off my computer. Proxy Bid, I believe, must have and inside person hacking accounts and stealing information. I had bought a few items locally with them, but never again.
My personal opinion so far is that this is not Proxibid that is at fault. It is the individual auction house that happens to be using the Proxibid platform that has the problem. I agree with some of you that have complaints that issues can arise when it has to do with shipping or bidding, but how do you feel that Proxibid is to blame? I am slightly confused as to why Proxibid didn't respond to your complaints unless they feel that it's not within their jurisdiction or obligation to make a response, maybe because of potential liability or for whatever reason. Well, I am currently not a proxibid seller, but if I did become one, I certainly wouldn't want another Proxibid seller's reputation to tarnish my site, which would have no bearing, control or sympathy with a site that was either improperly run or that had disgruntled customers with outstanding issues. Hopefully each of you will review your comments and see whether or not you have issues with Proxibid or some individual auction house.
DO NOT use Proxibid! They will not stand up for you as a bidder.. I had the high bid on a NO RESERVE auction and when I went to check if I won it said "passed".. It's not my fault the auction company didn't get what it wanted out of the item! If you're high bidder on a no reserve you win... END of Story... My attorney WILL be in contact with proxijoke and the auction company.
I am an ffl dealer. I know how much it costs to ship firearms. I won a Taurus pistol from PERRY AUCTIONS. the pistol sold for $240 on the auction. These idiots(or I guess I am the idiot for purchasing from them) charged $104 to ship me 1 $240 gun. The other gun I won cost $52 to ship it. 2 guns. $156 shipping fees. Are you kidding me?
Insane shipping fees. I have one shipping company that only charged me $187 for a ton of china dishes and huge paintings.
While this other place I only won some books and they tried to charge me $200 to ship them I refused to pay the invoice and now my account is in review.
Also had an auctioneer let me bid on two items and then changed the listing information to NO SHIPPING when there clearly was shipping. I contacted support and haven’t heard anything back.
