people that work there are rude, no hot water no breakfast my car was hit in the parking lot
Last night I went to go take a shower there was no hot water I went and told the person at the front desk they couldn't understand English. I went to go leave this morning there was no breakfast like they said there would be and my car had been hit in their parking lot I went in and told them and ask them if they had security cameras they said no there was nothing they could do! I am not very happy and I will never be staying there again
service
I reserved a room on June 22, 2017 at the West Memphis, Ark location. I reserved the room through a 3rd party provider ( Hotel.Com) I requested a first floor non smoking room. When I arrived at the hotel. I was given a second floor room, even though a first floor room was available. I asked for the first floor room and was given the key. I checked into the room and 30 mins later, front desk called and said I need to call hotel. com so they can change a code, so I can stay in the room. I called Hotel.com and they called the hotel to inform them that they didn't have a code. 2 hours later the front desk came banging on the door saying either, I take the second floor room or I need to pay again to stay in the first floor room. I called and complained to hotel.com on how I was treated. I stay at this same location every time I am in that area. I had just checked out 2 days before this happened. I was extremely upset and very embarrassed how she came banging on the door and yelling at me. I usually enjoy my visits and leave a great review. This time I'm very unhappy
bugs in our bed!
We checked into the Red Roof Inn at 88 Blackburn Lane, Dry Ridge, Kentucky 41035 on Tues July 4th at about 11pm (room 108). Immediately we noticed that the room was not up to standard but my family was tired from traveling and just wanted a good sleep. Once I laid down in bed I felt itchy. I asked my family but they didn't notice anything at this point. We went to sleep. After a couple hours I woke up and went into the bathroom and my legs felt itchy. I looked down and saw three very small bugs on my leg. I ran out and woke my family yelling that we need to get out of here. My husband took pictures of a bug we caught. We packed and went to the front desk asking for a refund, after being in the room for about 2.5 hrs. The young man refused after calling the owner, Rocky Patel. Apparently since we paid cash they have to send a check in the mail. Also we could not even be checked out since it was 130am. The desk attendant wrote us a note on blank paper saying the owner would send us a refund in the mail. I have since called the hotel twice and requested to speak to the owner to make sure our refund is in progress. Both times I have been told he is not in but will get the message and call you back. By now I realize that is not going to happen. I assume he is avoiding us and we will never see this refund! Very ticked!
overcharged for a room
On 6/18/17, I rented two rooms for one night at Red Roof in Kingman, Arizona. Upon check-in, I paid cash for both rooms in full. I received an email from my credit card company saying that I had a hold for $60.62 on my Visa made by Red Roof. I called the front desk and was told that I could get a cash refund in the morning rather than wait for my card to be credited, as I was on vacation and needed the money. In the morning, a different clerk said that the hold had been canceled and that I would have to wait for the amount to be released by the bank/credit card company.
Today is 7/9/17 and the amount is STILL not released. It still shows as a pending transaction.
There was no reason for it to be held or charged to begin with and it is not reasonable for this much time to have passed and it not to be released.
Please contact me at [protected]@hotmail.com with a resolution.
The reservations made using booking.com and were under Patricia Ramirez, address is 306 Avenue D in Sinton, Texas. My phone number is [protected]. The amount was held by Red Roof and not by Booking.com.
Thank you.
treatment by employees
I received a knock on room door about 1240 pm I didnt get to door front desk called sd I was do to check out that day I said must be a mistake which it was on my part my husband had went to work and house keeper came down and told me I needed to leave I said i need to contact my husband for a ride she said it's 20.00 an hour I stay every 10 min for the next half hour she came down and harassed me to leave I explained my ride was on its way she then told me to place my belongings on the lawn and wait outside with my dog I said i was told it was 20.00 and hour that I was there she then sent down 2 men from the front desk whonrold me to tell my ride to move faster then threatened me with the police if I didn't come up front to pay which I had no issues doing but standing in 90 degree heat with a yard full of my belongings and my dog and being belittled by your employees is not acceptable at all
two rooms of parting next to and adjacent to us.
We arrived in Florida (Orlando) today (7/07, 2017), two days ahead of our scheduled arrival date. We figured that an astute Uber driver would be able to turn us on to a decent hotel to accommodate us for those two days. She highly recommended the Red Roof Inn in Ocoee. It looked nice with a pool and amenities near by.
To shorten the story, the room adjacent to our two rooms and the room next door to mine were insistent on making noise (loud music and yelling, partying really). Our daughter has autism and cannot deal with abstract distractions as such, cannot sleep and then has a meltdown. She isn't sleeping as I write this and I have made three calls to the front desk and two personal visits to the front desk... and nothing has been done. I have now been forced to the parking lot to maybe, just maybe get some sleep in the rain. Two people are now displaced and two others are now being awaken at random intervals due to the ineptness of your staff.
Also as I write this the offenders are coming out and setting off their car alarms. I guess your parking lot, in the rain isn't a place to sleep either. You better make this very right with us for I will forever bash the Red Roof brand.
Thanks for "caring", maybe someone should've left the light on for us...

Two Room guests.
12:59am 8July2017
So not only have I been ignored at the front desk for multiple noise complaints about our immediate neighbors and their cohorts across the hall, to the extent that I've been forced to sleep outside in the rain and migrated to the pool deck from under the beautiful palmetto once the rain subsided; then after sitting here for a short moment chatting with a fella from Mississippi. And shortly after he left, another couple wandered out to the pool area to the opposite corner where I am seated and are having very I descrete sex. They're not even trying to be quiet about it. Is this a sex shop or a hotel? This is my second complaint, in the same evening, about the same hotel.
everything about the place
Wasn't clean like supposed to, no wifi, no pool but was advertised on booking and me and my husband room was so moldy, the neighborhood had loud music playing while we was trying to take a nap so we just checked out the same day we got the room and they didn't give us our money back for it. It was the worst experience I ever had I wouldn't recommend no one to go there to relax it just to loud and unprofessional

the room
Cannot believe the two stays were at the same hotel. We stayed at red roof inn Nashville fairgrounds on 6/13 it was such a wonderful experience we became members. Just five days later we stayed at the same place it was so horrible we will not take a chance to book a room there again. The second night the room reeked of cigarettes so badly you could smell it way before you got to the room. I ask the manager if he was sure it was a nonsmoking room and he assured me that it was. He offered to change rooms but we felt if we left door open and turned air in it would clear. Wrong. Our son stopped by for 30 minutes and went home reeking. The clock radio didnt work. My husband took to office the desk clerk brought us another one which also did not work. The tv would only get three free stations. We had two towels and two washcloths only. We were not given our water when we checked in. The desk clerk in the first night told us coffee and juice was available 24/7 . We had a nice refreshing glass of juice when we checked in. The second night the desk clerk said it is only available in the morning. So went to make coffee in room and water was brown when it came out. We frequently stayed at red roof inns in the past but never again. My husband had serious surgery the next day and we had hoped for a nice evening the night before but it was anything but.
front desk clerk/pensacola red roof inn, plantation rd
My husband and me (65 yrs of age) checked into the motel on Wed. 06/21/17 into handicap room 121. Shirley was very friendly and helpful! We were staying 1 night but told her we may want to stay another night, she said just let them know. We woke up this morning 06/22/17 Thurs. and decided to stay another night. I told my husband to call the front desk to let them know but because we were leaving to go have breakfast, he said we'll just stop by the office and he'd run in to let them know. I waited in the car and my husband came out and told me I had to go in and give them my credit card again. No problem, my husband waited in the car and I ran in with my credit card in hand. This was NOT Shirley, it was a male and I couldn't pronounce his name or I would give it to you, I'm sure you can check this morning's schedule to get his name. He greeted me with..."you seem tense, are you having a bad morning?" I wasn't having a bad morning so I wondered why he said that. I presented my card and he said the room would be 7.00 more than the night before. I asked why it would be more on Thurs. than Wed.? He said..."you came in here to fight, didn't you?" I laughed and told him I was in a great mood, I told him I even left a tip in the maid's envelope in the room. For the first time I think I just witnessed reverse discrimination. He kept taunting me and I finally just said, we'll just check out. I asked for a receipt and he continued harassing me while I was waiting for it to process. It's amazing to me that he would talk to me like that and lose a rental and not even care. He was so out of line until I wanted to notify you of his strange behavior, he seemed to be out of kilter to be in a front desk clerk position. He was of another nationality and it seemed to give him some sort of leverage over me, a white Caucasian woman. Never had anyone speak like that to me, I don't think that was in his job description to ask a customer if they were tense, having a bad day or wanted to fight. As much as I would've liked to stay there, we have now checked into the Days Inn. We were booked under the name of Bodiford but the receipt he gave me had the name misspelled Booford. Thank-you for reading this...he was on the scary side! Patricia Cohron/RandallBodiford My email is [protected]@gmail.com
unsanitary room conditions
My wife and I stayed In Corbin Kentucky, 1888 Cumberland Falls Highway, on 6/15/17. Confirmation # [protected]
The carpet was wet throughout the living area. I assumed it was due to the air conditioner not running. I ran it all night, no improvement could be noted.
The bathroom had an odor of cat urine along with the smell of the moldy shower curtain. Long black hairs were present on the counter, in the sink, on the toilet tank and goodness knows where else. My wife and both have short grey hair.
I found evidence of what looked to be urine on the base of the toilet bowl and took pictures of that and the hairs.
I complained to the manager on checkout and showed her the pictures which she copied. I was told that she could not issue a refund, but would present a written report when owner (?) came in and to wait for a few hours for a call back. A call did not come. I called the next day and was told there were four complaints that day and they, including mine were still on his desk. I got a call back from the owner and was told he would issue a 12% refund.
I believe, given the facts this is not a satisfactory settlement.
unethical behaviour
Stayed at the 520 Roberts Ct.Kennesaw, ga 30144. Which I stay in almost every weekend for the last year. My light didnt work in the bathroom. So I called the front desk. Mr.Erwin answered the phone. His tone immeadiatelly was very rude and short. Told him my problem with the lights in the bathroom and he immeadiatelly got loud with me. "Asking me how long am I staying with Red Roof", "that I wouldnt be staying long anyway! So at this time I was very upset and didnt understand why was I being disrespected because the things in my room didnt work correctly.
dirty rooms
Please pass this to management...Our Hotel room was dirty and in need of repair. There was a big bug alive in the refrigerator and several on the floor. So they moved us to a second room. It was not much better. We are seniors and my husband did not feel good nor up to moving to another hotel. The pool had a sign on it staying health department pool closure. The bathroom had mold and was dirty. An ironing board was standing in the corner of the room with a dirty cover. Microwave door was dirty and so were light switches. Horrible experience.
I can provide pictures of EVERYTHING!

First the reservations were made ahead time and paid for so we would have a place to change before our dinner with our out of town guests (we reserved 2 rooms). I called ahead and was told check in was at 3 PM. First I was ignored by Toby at the desk (no greeting or welcome just a glare at me!) He told me he had no rooms available for us and meanly told me that check in does not have to be on time. He told me he would call me when the rooms were ready and he did not. We went to dinner without changing! We arrived back and he still did not have our rooms and keys ready for prepaid rooms as he told me. Finally we go the rooms and he was very rude when filling out the car forms. When we got to our room 452 there were no towels or washcloths. I had to call to get some. The bathroom floor was dirty with dirt in corner and on floor. It smelled to high heaven of cigarettes and it bothered us, suppose tobe smokefree. I would like half of my money that I paid refunded since we got in our room very late. What an embarrassment with guests from out of town. Please send a refund to our credit card. You should fire Toby because he is very rude as a person at the desk checking people in. Very hostile. Please let me know about you refund decision.
poor service and lack of caring and loyalty toward me. total greed!!!
I have been a loyal patron to R. R. I. since 2008. I've spent thousands and have actually gone out of my way to stay there even when I did not have my dogs with me for the reason that they are loyal to me... UNTIL NOW!
I sold my home in Arizona and drove across country to South Carolina staying at R.R.I. along the way. I got the news that there is a delay on the close of my condo and will need a place to stay a week or longer. I called R.R.I. to book a room and find the location only to be let down. I told them the terrible predicament I was in and they flat out didn't care. Because the location I was interested in, Myrtle Beach has no problem booking rooms they don't need to allow my two dogs. I literally begged them to allow me to stay telling them my truck is loaded and I'm cramped in the front with my two large, non-aggressive dogs and have traveled 2200 miles. I was stuck in a strange city with no where to stay and they didn't care and had no problem letting me know either! They said that at this location they only allowed one dog and under 60 lbs. At all the other locations I would walk the dogs right into the lobby and the workers there would go out of their way to make us all feel welcome. NOT HERE!
I was in a terrible predicament and all they cared about doing was showing how uncaring they could be. I had to spend hours going from one dive motel to another until finally I had to pay almost $100.00 for a night in a dump filled with cockroaches where I had to strip the dirty linens from the bed and replace them with ones the owner gave me to do myself.
Red Roof Inn treated me like a piece of trash. Never again will they get another penny of my money. I will sleep in the car first! I also don't believe for one minute this complaint means anything to them.
La Quinta has been treating me and my dogs like royalty for almost a week now and probably for another week. They accept up to two dogs at all of their locations and even large dogs except for their downtown Chicago location. They will be getting my hard earned money from now on. I just still cannot get over how badly they treated me. I am not a second or third class citizen!

On January 28, 2017 my wife & I arrived at the Red Roof Inn. 652N Dupont Hwy, Dover DE 19901. After calling 5 hours prior to arrival the nightshift
Manager informed me that a room was available two full beds when I arrived.
When I arrived at your business I was greeted with total desrespect from the dayshift manager Mr. Vinjay Parat aka Vinny. He was very rude and loud informing me that his nightshift suprv was in fact new and didn't know what he was talking about. Mr. Parat not only refused to honor the agreement he basically sent me walking stating no rooms would be available until 2:00 p.m.
This gentleman should be retrained regarding customer service. He was extremely unprofessional and "BLATANTLY" unconcerned about servicing my needs.
Sincerely,

kicked out for pointing out problem
I am a 53 yr. old disabled man who's traveling with my caregiver. We needed a room during a week of inclement weather. On Jan 11 in Portland, OR, I bid on the last available room which was at Red Roof Inn. It was more than I wanted to spend, being on disability, but glad to have it. We went to the room and my caregiver, Travis, checked it out for my safety. Immediately we both noticed roaches on the bed and wall and the one that was a completelunch disgusting; roaches crawling on the plastic wrapped cups by the sink. He talked to the Manager and checked out another room that appeared to be fine. In the morning, I was by the sink and noticed something on the light fixture. I reached for it and recoiled in horror when I discovered a used syringe sitting on the very dusty fixture, the Mgmt insisted was cleaned daily, but refused to come look at. An argument ensued between Travis and very rude manager who told us we had to leave. I pointed out his unprofessional behavior and asked why he was being like this and why he refused to come look at what I found. I have this all on a recording Travis had the wherewithal to record. I CANNOT believe that we were being put on the street in the middle of the week we paid for in advance over something so trivial . It makes no professional sense to throw a disabled man out on the street in 20 degree weather without a refund or relocation to alternative accommodations over what? I have over 30 experience in the Hospitality Industry and have never experienced such unprofessional behavior. I will contact the Better Business Bureau, the Oregon Lodging Association, local news stations, as well as my local business contacts and groups of businessmen that routinely travel and frequently stay at no frills hotels such as the Red Roof Inn. I expect to hear from you today, Jan 14 by 11:00 AM, the time we're expected to vacate the premises. You may relay this message through the same management of Red Roof Portland that set this into motion. I am very disappointed and angry my year had started off on such a sour note. Douglas P. Finnell
