product/ insect infestation /10 berryhill rd columbia south carolina 29210
11/2 and 11/5 repeat stay, first night a couple of bites said might be mosquitoes, convenient locations upon return to city My Husband and i revisit but upon waking I was flabbergasted, we both were completely bumped up by insect (bedbug) bites all over our backs, arms and necks. At RED ROOF INN you should remove your name this has truly changed my preference for travel and or vacation. And to add insult to injury we were given a room at a cheaper rate and could not drive to the room because of parking lot paving so had to take a more expensive room to accommodate my husbands handicap. So we paid more to be devoured by insects.
hotel charge
I booked a two night stay Nov.3-5 with booking.com. for the Red Roof Inn in Lafayette, IN. I later changed to just a one night stay Nov 3-4 because there were no activities we were attending Sunday. I received a confirmation email that I had been changed to one night at the price of $269.91. I felt this was a rip-off, but it was family weekend at Purdue, so it was all we could find. When I checked in Nov.3rd I confirmed with the woman working that it had been changed to one night. She confirmed that it had been changed and I signed for the one night charge. When I went to check out in the morning on Nov.4th I was told they had a two night minimum and that I could stay again that night. I told him no and that the two night minimum had never been mentioned before. He told me it was too late, he had already charged my credit card for two nights. I did not ageee to paying for two nights and feel it should be illegal for him to automatically charge my credit card without my consent. I went back over all of my emails and it never was mentioned that there was a two night minimum.
If you didn't stay the second night, you could try disputing the charge with your bank. If you did stay the second night, unfortunately you would be responsible for the costs.
the condition of the hotel
I have been staying at the Red Roof Inn in South Williamsport Pennsylvania for about a month as I am here for work. The condition of this hotel is incredible they have their mattresses laying on the floor their ceiling looks like it's about to cave in in the rooms there are stains all over the place. On the new sheets and blankets and pillows that they give you there are stains. The electrical outlets Are Pitch Black they look like they have been fried multiple times. They have a power surge with multiple multiple cords plugged in. The only nice part of this hotel is the front lobby. I feel like this place needs to be shut down and redone or completely shut down. The driveway has potholes that are a foot deep. The ceilings above the showers or alright it and water damaged. And the management or the owner I don't know which one it is is very rude he's not nice to his guest and they double charge you every single week always have to tell them to refund me because they charged me double.
I have several complaints about a certain hotel
I am complaining about the money I spend at the Red Roof Atlanta/ Norcross location and the bathroom shower curtain has mold all on it, the house keepers half clean the rooms to the point where I have to clean my own room. The elevators has been out for a couple of months now, the cable sucks so I can't watch TV because all the channels are trash past 47. I shouldn't have to call the front desk every-day because it's always some some bs or something messed up in this hotel. I'm tired I work hard for my money & I shouldn't have to move because management can't run they're hotel.
red roof on st augustine
This is probably the worst motel room we have ever stayed in. The carpeting upon opening the door had a big mark where an iron must have been dropped. Paint and stucco was falling off around doorway. Bathtub bottom was gray and appeared dirty. Shower curtain rod was inserted in 2 holes with were not patched after insertion. The bed had a single sheet with a bedspread that had to be at least 30 years old. The desk light was not functional. The WiFi didn't work. No hairdryer was available even in Office.
public nudity and blood and feces spread all over the walls
The Red Roof Inn at 2672 Avalon Blvd Milton Florida 32583 management well not listing to us. I learn that the hotel rent the second and third floors to a BDSM group called P.A.L.S. Panhandle Alternative Life Styles. We stay there in February 4, 2017 with my teenage kids to visit the College up the road from the hotel. My kids happen to get on the elevator and I chased them. They hit the buttons to the two upper floors. When the door open there were nude women and men running around in the hallway. Some were tie up in rope and some were swing floggers, the door closed and went to the next floor and the same thing was going there to. I returned back to the first floor and spoke to the desk person about what was going on. I was advise they would notify the manager. The next day the manager spoke to me about what happen and stated that they were not allow to comeback. The house keeper was complaining about how one the rooms was cover with blood and feces and that it was a major health hazard. We checkout and went to the college, and told them about what happen. They advise us they knew about the hotel and the students call it the RedLight inn. and advise us to use another hotel. Well me and my family took the management at there word that they wouldn't be back. We stay there a few time visiting our son. We stay October 7 2017 on the first floor the day hurricane came through the area that night. Well guest who was the P.A.L.S. Panhandle Alternative Life Styles group again. The way I found out someone upstairs pulled the fire alarm around 2AM in the morning. When I walked out to the lobby there was a couple of people naked and tie up in rope and was trying to cover up. I recognize some of them include they called Clifford Cox who was the leader of the group. After I spoke to the desk person after the fire dept. cleared the build and she said that it would be handle. Red Roof Inn claims to run a good clean safe hotel. A different manager told they were a franchise and they rent to ever they want to. I well never go back to that red roof inn and. I have told my family, friends, and my church members back in Ohio not use the red roof inn in Florida.
incompetent general manager, joseph skoop and cockroach problem at witchita falls
I checked into the motel in Witchita Falls on Oct. 18th after driving all day from Colorado. I arrived around 9:00pm. The room smelled musty and was not taken care of...rusty refrigerator, broken lamp shade, cracks in the ceiling, lumpy bed and I found a dead bug by the bed. Being tired from being on the road all day, I thought this was the worst of it. After falling asleep and waking up around 2:30am, I woke up to a cockroach on my pillow. I lifted the pillow up and found another one under the pillow. I immediately told the front desk person who put me in another room. By this time, it was 3am. I was unable to get to sleep in this room due to my last room experience and left around 6am. I was at the motel for less then 10 hours. I told the general manager, Joseph Skopp about the bug problem. I killed one of the roaches to show him that it was a fact that this room had bugs in it. He was not the least bit interested in my experience at his motel. He refused to offer me an refund or even apologize. His lack of customer service skills was amazing. He is not qualified to run a motel. I will never again stay at this Red Roof Inn again and recommend you don't either.
red roof inn abescon nj
I was bitten up by bed bugs at this location and it was the worse experience of my life at a hotel. It is sad that it even has the red rood inn name on it. Between the filth and musky smell.. It is no wonder there are bed bugs. The owners obviously have no standards. Certainly I would hope the corporation would take away those who don't care. I have not yet contacted legal advice but I am considering it.
saving peoples credit card numbers on file also stealing money from my bank account
The thursday before i checked out friday morning i went in office to pay for thursday night they tried to think i was dumb and not going to see right through them that they were going to overcharge me for an extra night stay. They said that there was an article of clothing that was left in the room so they charged me for my piece of clothing that they probably kept for theirself or threw away to stay the night with no human in the room. I would like to speak with someone about this charge as i have informed my financial advisor about this fraudulent charge and i am and will be disputing. If nothing will be done i will post this everywhere!.
unethical behavior
I am a 56 yr old nurse. I booked a room in Greensboro and was very excited about going to see the Eagles. The hotel was a 1.3 mi down the street, so it was walking distance. When my friend and I arrived to check-in, I was in desperate need to find a bathroom. They had no restroom to use, I had to get checked in before I could go. We went to the concert and had a great time. After walking back from the concert at around 11:30 that evening, we arrived at the room where my friend was close to wetting the only pair of pants she had with her. The key to my door would not work, she fumbled with it while dancing around until she could not stand it anymore. I took the key and automatically she had to drop her pants there on the sidewalk and go. As all this was taking place, the guard walks around the building and automatically said we had 15 min to leave the premises. I have never been so embarrassed in my life as having the police called and being escorted out, had been drinking and put out to drive back to Winston. The officers tried the card and could not get in either. None of the staff would even try my key. The police dept told us to contact corporate. We were put out on the street with nowhere else to go and had been drinking at the concert. All other hotels were full. I hate what happen but I think I at least deserve what I paid for my room that evening
hotel uninhabitable not fit for the public.
We are from the Uk and stayed in Red Roof Indianna Airport last night 28 Sep .
I will bullet point the issues we had . We also have pictures .
Reception wall half built exposing plaster and dust .
Room numbers floor 2 all on floor outside each room,
Plaster dust from skirting boards all over carpets
In our room curtain one of fixed across window so it could not be pulled open,
Window could not be looked out of because it was almost all white, double glazing failure .
Our room only had one lamp .
Our curtain rail cover was removed exposing metal rail and was found dumped outside the lifts .
No valsnce on bottom of bed either..
This is just not good enough my wife was disgusted .
We are staying in another one of your hotels ( pre booked) this evening and is much much better ( as per trip advisor recommendations) and we are very pleased with this Nashville hotel.
We are in America until 15 October if you would like to see the pictures we have taken . Or need any other feedback . We don't normally go to these lengths in complaining but at 50 yrs old it was one of the worst places we have ever stayed in .

cleanliness
1 - bathroom - area behind the toilet seat was dirty - bathtub needed a good scrubbing - no shampoo - only one soap - supports on sink need repair
2 - room - floors filthy - socks were very dirty as I used clean ones for slippers - tissues under bed - needed two bed room - clerk said there are none on the first floor - stayed on the first floor with two beds several times in the past - 2 dogs, 2 dog crates, 2 suitcases and 4 misc bags up the stairs
3 - didn't speak with manager on way out as he/she wasn't there and clerk the same as night before
Red Roof Inn - My daughter had reserved this room for 09/17/2917.
hotel management and filthy accommodations
My family and I booked a room at the Red Roof Inn in Evansville, Indiana. We were in town for the Haubstadt Dirt Race. Upon checking in we were charge an extra $50 beyond our Booking.com rate due to using a different card to pay. Then we were sent to our room, which was still dirty. This not only happened once but 3 times. Once we got a room that had been semi cleaned we left for the race. We returned to get ready for bed to find pubic hair on the bathroom floor and on the door. The air conditioner was leaking and didn't work and there was water left in the ice bucket with mold in it. When I confronted the front desk (with my 12 year old with me) the manager said I was rude and my son flipped him off. The manager proceeded to threaten my son for being a disrespectful little "a[censor]". I've never been so discusted by a human in my life. The entire hotel smelled of piss and the towels smelled of body odor.
This hotels needs [censor] down before someone gets sick or the manager hurts a guests. y next contact is the better business bureau and possibly the authorities concerning the threat made to my son.
guest service clerk
My requests are really donor when I travel with my one year old grandson. I requested to be put on a lower floor and made reservations with anticipation. When I arrived I explained that to him he said third floor was all he had and I agreed. When I went into the room there was no refrigerator so I called the front desk and asked and he said that some rooms do not come with refrigerators so I explained that I needed a refrigerator and he basically told me take it or leave it. What kind of customer service is that? I then aired him his name and hung up. Really weird how all of a sudden he balls back that another person gave up their room for me but what was more comical is that he gave them options on which rooms they would receive. I didn't say anything but then he started to say things like you should be appreciative that these people have up there room.
Like WHAT? Are yippy seriously discussing my situation with complete strangers? I feel completely humiliated by the way I was handled tonight by your clerk John. He was combative, and basically told me to either take what I got our check out. I have stayed a total of 3 nights this week here while visiting family because I'm from Tennessee, but I would not recommend this specific hotel to anyone.
the red roof inn in vernon conn.
First I check in at 430 and the room was ready then as we walked up the stairs there was a bunch of stuff from matinace at the top of stair. Then I got locked in the bathroom because the door and handle was busted. Had to wait 20min for my helper to get back to the room to use the key card to jimmy the latch they did offer to move me but I was already unpacked told them I just wouldn't close door all the way .this place is a dump i would think red roof would better than this I'll never stay there again.
room quality
So on Friday September 15th I really don't own the Red Roof Inn in Battle Creek Michigan the room was deplorable when we entered it was the worst mustia smell that I have ever smelled there was blood stains on the carpet there was actually a big gigantic spot right in front of the refrigerator also the Sheets Were filthy dirty the TV did not operate as promised there was no Wi-Fi and then to top it off there was a crack pipe located in the corner I was disgusted I refuse to remove my shoes lay on the sheets it on the bed it was the worst experience I had ever seen I am still reeling over the fact that anything could have crawled in my bag while we stay there I spoke to the front door management and she apologized very you know matter of factly we're sorry we don't inspect our rooms which I was taking a back a bit because I'm in management and if I promote a product I expect the product to represent the brand name, it wasn't until my husband went to the front desk to complain and we were provided with another room that was much more suitable for human being so in my opinion there to Red Roof Inns in Dearborn there's the real people's Red Roof Inn and then there's the one for the people who they deem undesirable and want to just throw them anything because we paid for product I hope to see some resolve in the upcoming future but as far as the Red Roof Inn is concerned I'm done
room and payment
I booked a handicap room for me and Bill on September the 6th, 2017. They emailed my confirmation in the amount of $134.44 for 2 nights, September 11 to 12, 2017. When we got to the hotel on Sunday, September 11, 2017 they said that I owed $172.77, in which Bill's son said that he already prepaid for the two nights on his visa. That did not happen. Instead of putting us in a handicap room they stuck us in a little dinky room that I had to squeeze Bill's wheel chair between the TV counter and the bed. Talk about discrimination. That is not all, on Sunday night the desk people all left the hotel at 8:35 PM and left everybody in there rooms while Hurricane Irma went through at 2:30 AM, Monday morning and no workers showed up for work until 9:20 AM, Monday morning. There was nobody from the hotel there to take care of anything in case the hurricane knocked out any windows or some guest got injured. All the Red Roof Inns should be sued and shut down forever.
We are the Guests that was stuck in room 111, in which we should have been in a handicap room.
my experience.
I made a reservation online for Friday. I had been driving all night and attempted to check in around 1:30am. I was told by Queanna at the front desk that I could not check in until 3pm. I was told by Queanna at the front desk that to get a refund that I had to contact priceline. She was rude as well. So I did and priceline called and spoke to Queanna and she refused my refund after telling me to contact priceline for my refund. I attempted to just change my reservation date and was also unable to do that. So at this point I am basically throwing my money away and I am very unhappy about the situation.
poor service
Had reservation at Red Roof - Downer's Grove for Sept 11-13. Check-in went well. Upon wakeup on 9-12, my wife went into sower and got in tub. Turned water on and started showering. While showering she found a previous tennant's clothes hanging on the shower curtain! Absolutely disgusted. I then got in shower and found my feet covered with lots of dirt from the room's floors. Also the light above the sink went out. Upon leaving for the day, I called the desk with a request for changing the light. We left the clothes by the trash basket along with a note. Upon return late at nite, opened the room to discover our room had not been touched. Went to office an complained about it all. The gentleman at the desk told us we should have checked the room better. NOT - that they should have CLEANED the room to start with! He offered to move us that late to another room. At least we had clean towels. I used one to 'wash' the floor and it was disgustedly black with dirt. No apology was given to us. Was extremely disappointed as this property is NOT MAINTAINED to what we have come to expect from numerous Red Roof stays.
