I previously worked for rental homes of america. I worked there several days before I seen the unethical behaviors of the company. We were told to lie to customers that houses were available in areas that weren't available. The way that they get customers into a bind that they cant get out of is by telling us not to grauntee them a home. I think of myself of being a pretty honest person and I know that times are hard for anyone and most important I wouldn't want anyone to do the same thing to me. Like I said I worked for them and know first hand that this company is a real live scam no matter who writes comments about they found a home with them. If you did than all that I can say is your one of the lucky ones!

I was one who was scammed. I thought this would take the hassel out of moving from one state to another. The only thing it took away from me was my money. They offer no refunds and no help. The rental listing were old and useless. They told me they montiored and uodated daily, which was a complete lie. I even emailed the asking them why homes that have been rented are still on the website as available, giving them the exact info on each house. Not only was my email ignored, a week later the same homes are still on there as available. Do not waste your money. This compnay has an F rating by the BBB and now I undrstand why

Do not trust this company. I paid over $50.00 for a fake list of houses. We should start a class action lawsuit. On January 28, 2010, I called Rental Homes of America to get help in finding a home. My lease was up and I had to move within 2 weeks. I spoke with a lady name Jamie who seemed to be nice. I had just gave birth at six months to a beautiful baby boy who died just 3 hours after he was born. I was so vulnerable and sad and I reached out to this company with hopes of finding a new home because I didn't have the strenght to get out on my home. I wanted something quick and easey. I kept calling the leads on the list and it was the same landlord for every house. All I got was his voicemail. After looking at five different houses I realized that none of them were available for rent. I called the company back and I never could reach the same lady. This is a scam. My heart broke. Normally I do my own house hunting but I was in a fragile state of mind and I relied on this company. It's a scam. Stay away. Check your local newspaper listings.

I am so thankful for you all comments. I was about to use Rental Homes of America, moving from Illinois to Georgia. I thank God that He had me come to this site, first. I am truly sorry for you all. But, yes, I do agree with posting complaints. Not all the time do the Better Business Bureau do an adequate job. With the BBB its more like he said, she said. I have previously filed a complaint with the BBB against a company that's how I can say the BBB is more like he said, she said. You file a complaint, they respond, then you respond to their response and they respond to your response to their response. I eventually got sick & tired of the circle or hamster wheel as I favorably called the BBB cycle complaint. Ruth Richardson

I am a landlord. Hopefully, I have finally gotten RHA to drop my name and properties. They consistently kept giving out my number for properties that had been rented for many months (and at least one point more than a year).

thank you for your posts. I called these people and were about to use them, but the lady I spoke with was trying entirely too hard to relate to me. it made me iffy, so I checked out this web site. I'm glad I didn't waste my money.

I just called about an apartment listing in my area and a Rental Homes Of America rep returned my call. It sounded like she was reading from a script and that alone raised a red flag, but I figured they might still be legit. When she got my info and finished reading from her script, she told me they required a one time $59 fee. I asked if it was a fee to receive a list of homes and was told that it was. That seemed too sketchy for me so I told her I'd discuss it with my partner and call her back. I'm glad I checked this site because it reaffirms my belief that I was about to be scammed. Sorry to all of those who already have been scammed.

Is there only one rha for the whole country? I saw some ads on craigslist that were perfect for what we were looking for. I called the number and a representative named Larry answered. The main problem we've been having is that most place won't except all of my animals. He told me about how much loved animals and that most of the houses had pet deposits for less that $200. Every house that I've seen was $200 or more and increased with the number of pets. Also, why would they put ads on craigslist with pictures and every bit of information about the house other than the phone number? There is other ways to find numbers for a house, if it's even real, than paying $49. I'm glad I didn't do it.

Thank you for your comment. It saved me as well. I was probably going to borrow the money to use for RHOA. I decide to check this site before borrowing the money.
Thank God for that. Where is there creditable help out there?

I am so glad I checked these reviews before I gave away $69. dollars, I found a 3bd/2bath home on Craigslist for west Knoxville & I thought how perfect is that, well the listing had no physical address, no email, & no pictures, just a local phone #, so I called it & I was prompted to leave a message. The next day Gary from RHOA called me & I asked about the add on craigslist & he went on to say that they had over 389 homes ready to be rented in West Knoxville & they could help me find a home fast, well Gary was a very fast speaker kind of sounded like he use to be a car sales man or worked at an auction, he didn't let me speak, he said that I was to go on website & pay the $69 dollar fee so I could browse the listing, I thought what kind of company charges to let you view it, that was a little shady, so I listen to the voice in the back of my head & decided to do research & here I am today, thank god I wont be wasting my $69 dollars.
