scam
I was searching craigslist.com when i came across a listing for cheap rental homes in my area. The listing gave me a number to call because it didnt have a address. Once i called the number a guy asked a few questions about what i was looking for then he said he they had 116 listing of homes in my area. then he went on saying how they have alot of houses in my area but they dont put signs in the yards or post their address and that i had to pay a one time fee of $69.00 to view the homes. so being it was so hard to find somewhere to look at i paid it and set up my account. Once i got online i only saw 12 homes in my whole state. So i emailed them to get my money back but they said they get new homes of day so basically i was out of my money
RIP OFF
I just recently signed up with rental homes of america. They told me that I would find a home in no time. (they lied!) i've been checking the site everyday at every moment I get to see will I find a home immediately. So far I haven't. On top of that we paid $69.00.. For nothing. We could have used that to go out searching ourselves. We thought by spending that kind of money for a website that will provide great homes would have been worth it. We just lost our money...

Unethical Business practices
My wife & I have been searching for a rental home in Chattanooga & contacted this Company through an ad on Craigslist. Earlier this year we had contacted them on a previous ad & found out it was a fee for service listing (no details on home until you paid fee) so we were not interested. When we called today (nothing about your Company was in ad) we were met by a rude woman who hung up on us & when I called back Gary Dell answered the phone & rudely stated "can I speak to the person coaching you in the background?" (MY WIFE?!?) When she got on the line he refused to give her ANY details on the specific ad stating that there are over 400 rentals you handle. She TRIED to explain that she was calling about the ad THEY placed - he started yelling & over-talking. Then after hanging up on her HE CALLED BACK to our home phone & started yelling at me.
We called to get details on a home for rent -- never have either of us experienced such rude incompetent unprofessional scammers in our lives. Your Company has already been reported to the Craigslist officials and the BBB in our area (state-wide as of Monday morning).
SHAME on you for doing business in this way in this economy in this country.
Sincerely,
Donald & Michelle Hopper

I previously worked for rental homes of america. I worked there several days before I seen the unethical behaviors of the company. We were told to lie to customers that houses were available in areas that weren't available. The way that they get customers into a bind that they cant get out of is by telling us not to grauntee them a home. I think of myself...

I was stupid enough to try this rental program they told me that I had to pay $85 to even get a listing of the homes they had so I did and in return I found no home and now I'm out of $85. I was told that if I didn"t find anything in 6 months they would refund $75 of my money back to me, well it's been atleast 1 year now and I haven't seen any of my money back yet and I had to go through someone else to find me a home. This was just redicilous, these people have to be desprate to scam a single mother out of her childrens money just to find a place to live when I didnt even find anything I think this company should be closed down!

I have also paid 85.00 of a listing of homes, either someone stay in these homes or they NEEDED ALOT OF WORK done to them so I felt like I was out of 85.00 as bad as I want to get another listing I dont want to go through the same mistakes again so how can you all solve this problem?

http://rentalhomesofamerica.com/ are a perfectly legitimate company. Sorry that you had a bad experience with them.
Finding only 12 homes in your state? I highly doubt this is true. There is constant monitoring of more than a dozen rental home markets, most of those markets have over 300 homes.
Making everyone happy isnt the easiest thing to do when dealing with the public.
