bikepartsusa HORRIBLE!!!

I thought that maybe BikepartsUSA was HORRIBLE to deal with on all counts. Reading through web complaints about BikepartsUSA shows that this happens most of the time, WHY? I have no idea why, some people just cant run a business I guess? Anyway, my order arrive SUPER later, weeks later and with 80% of the order missing. I got charged $65 for (2) handlebars ($7 ea.) and on freewheel ($12). Calling them has been a nightmare and I have no other recourse but to get screwed and call the better business buereau and VISA to complain, oh and also web complaints(yay) Thanks BikepartsUSA, you WASTED TOO MUCH OF MY LIFE!

WARNING: DONT ORDER FROM THEM, OR YOU WILL BE TAKING A BIG CHANCE THIS MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOU, IM HOPING THIS DOESNT HAPPEN MOST OF THE TIME, BUT AFTER TALKING TO THEM, I THINK THEY ARE CALCULATING AND RUDE! SO WHO KNOWS WHAT IS THE DEAL IS! BEWARE, THIS HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I also had a great ordering experience with them and the service DEPT helped me find the parts i need because i hade no idea no what part to buy or how to install this part . They emailed back and forth and called me to see if every thing went well . There were times they did not answer the phone when they were busy but otherwise great people

My Experience was fantastic. I read this and gave it a chance anyway and order arrived with 4 days and was just as i ordered it. I will certainly use them again. Not to mention the man on the phone was very helpful and pointed me in the right direction as to what parts i needed .

bikepartsusa scam

Bikepartsusa.com is a total scam of a company. They should not be allowed to remain in business. I placed an order for over $200 and purchased several items. Half of my items never shipped (the tires) and the items I did receive were all the wrong size. Morgan Steel, owner of the "company", claimed he would send me a UPS calltag to return the items. He never did. He also claimed he would refund my money for the price of the tires since he wasn't able to get them to me. He never did. I finally disputed this with my bank and the charges were reversed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS "COMPANY" For more complaints just Google bikepartsusa and scam and you will see numerous complaints.

WARNING: Don't buy from BikePartsUSA! A bike seat cover was returned with authorization. Refund has been promised. No refund 2 months later. They have been called 7 or 8 times. They do not return phone calls, respond to emails, or reply to website requests. This company is a fraud.

This is a very shady and dishonest business. They lied repeatedly to me about my order (stating that it had already been shipped even though it had not). Finally after waiting and waiting my item arrived. It was not what I had ordered. Good luck trying to get a refund from this guy! Totally unscrupulous.

I have placed six orders in eight years to bikepartsusa.com and have had mixed results, mostly bad. They offer good prices on their "house" brand (Pyramid) which they appear to import themselves. This is a cheap line of Chinese bike parts, which work fine for cheap Chinese bikes. No revelation here! I wouldn't DREAM of using them for anything critical, or for anything I need in less than a month.

Their website is truly gruesome. The descriptions are extremely sparse, inaccurate, and use jargon that is understood only by its writer. The pictures are the size of postage stamps, and can be completely wrong, or, at best, useless. If you can cross reference the part number, this is usually the only way to determine if the part will work for you. Alternately, if you are an expert or very familiar with the part, you probably won't need accurate pictures or text. But this is all obvious, except to bikepartsusa, apparently.

I try to be forgiving, and after not ordering for almost two years, I decided to give them a try again. Companies do change, sometimes. I placed a small, non-critical order by phone, and because of troubles with their funky “Smart Post” shipping, requested it be sent Fedex. No problem, the order arrived as expected. So two weeks later, I decided to place a larger order for items I really needed within two weeks. I specified Fedex shipping and offered to pay any extra amount for it, just like on the previous order, and I did this by filling in a form on their website, and also by calling them on the phone, TWICE, once before placing the order, and again when they said the order was “on their loading dock.” Well, they lied to me. They shipped the order by worthless “Smart Post” again, and true to form, it has not shown up for three weeks.

The last time this happened, I had to wait two months for a refund, for which I had to spend a great deal of time calling AGAIN AND AGAIN requesting. After three full months, and after I had cajoled a refund out of them by screaming and threatening with the help of my credit card provider, the order finally arrived. Being an honest person, I called them to arrange return of the items, because, naturally, I no longer wanted them, and hadn’t paid for them. They tried to get me to ship the product back at my expense, but I insisted, rightly I believe, that they should pay for return shipping because of the delay. They said they would send a call tag. After two more requests for a call tag were ignored, I gave the items to a local charity and forgot about the affair.

So I can’t tell if bikepartsusa is merely a scam, if they are just incredibly shoddy, or if they are pathological liars. I certainly would not recommend them to anyone. Unless you are absolutely sure there is no other source, I strongly suggest you shop elsewhere unless you like stress and conflict.

I have done bussniess with bikepartsusa more then 5 times so far and i was wary at first but they are not what the used to bee and i have had a good experience with this company
