BEWARE
VERY CROOKED and dishonest. We found a great deal on-line at Crystal Motors on a Honda that we had been searching for, so went to check it out. The vehicle drove nice and was very clean. We were told we could take it home over night to think about it. We really liked it, had low miles, and was a great price...BUT they couldn't produce a carfax that matched the VIN on the Honda we were driving. We were also told that the extra keys had not been turned in with the vehicle but "thier guy" could make an extra set of keys "much cheaper" than the dealer. We got a bad feeling about the place and decided to think about it for another day. We then searched the internet for reviews on Crystal Motors...something we should have done 3 days ago! Apparently they have used the missing key story many times, and in the end simply produced the original key calling it the "new key". We were lucky, we did our homework (a bit late), and got out of there before we made a very bad purchase.

Buyer Beware
Buyer Beware- This dealership is owned by Al Crane. He has owned several dealerships in the Mpls area. His cars are not as advertised and many have hidden defects. Parts missing and inconsistant documents. Just because the CARFAX doesn't list damage that doesn't mean the car has not been wrecked. I personally was ripped off by Al and his Golden Valley Automotive dealership. I took him to court and won the case but he conveniently shut down that business and started another- Crystal Motors. Google Al Crane, Golden Valley Automotive and Crystal Motors and see all the people he has ripped off. The Minnesota BBB has a record as long as my arm on him. The Minnesota Attorney Generals Office has the same. The Minnesota Automotive Dealers Unit has had tons of complaints on him. Buyer Beware! You've been warned!

Thanks for this info! I just checked, and Crystal Motors has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau, with 17 unsatisfactorily resolved complaints. The information about the lemon-law buybacks is very enlightening--I was wondering why most of their vehicles have California plates on them. Their cars are priced below Blue Book, and now I understand why. You have saved us a lot of time and hassle. I was going to go over there this afternoon and look at some cars, but I'm so glad I saw these posts before I did.
These guys buy alot of lemon law buybacks from California. When they present the car to you they act all excited that your car has qualified for a extra 12 12k warranty. Thiw warranty is what the manufacture puts on the car after the declare it a lemon, after the 12 months the manufacturer is clear of the car. Meanwhile you have bought a lemon law buyback car that is worth about 1/2 what you paid. I unfortunatley have had dealing with these guys before and they will do anything they can to pull the whool over your eyes. They are what give dealers a bad name...
Fraud and cheating
I purchased a 2007 Toyota Corolla in June of 2008. We had the car for one month and we heard a grinding noise when breaking. I took the car to a local Toyota dealership with only 11, 000 miles on the odometer. They said that I needed new brakes, cost of repair was $475.00.
The mechanic stated that the car should not have needed brakes until at least 40, 000 miles. He was very suspicious about the car needing brakes way way too soon. He stated that the odometer could have been turned back. The car had a clean carfax report.
Oh by the way, Crystal Motors supplied the carfax report. The car also had only one door that the key would work in. I am very concerned that the car was not what it was supposed to be. Never buy from these guys...
