I'm a african american college student and I went to their to see futher details about a particular car I have seen on their website. The car was label special deal, but after driving 30 miles out of my way I discover that no one came outside to greet me, they refuse to tell me the price of the car, wouldn't let me test drive it without filling out their appication, and to top it off the owners which are persian refused to talk to me. So you know what I did! I took my 675 credit score and $4, 850 to a ford dealership. And im now a proud owner of a 2012 dodge charger with 15 miles. ;-)
Even the devil wouldn't step foot in that place 9.99 apr, yeah right after marking the car up 2x thr value with very high mileage

pars cars .com or better yet atlanta giant is a total and utterly rip off. There should be a law against them and their practics/service. Their buy here pay here bank loan company, united auto acceptance. UAC don't even have a telephone listed on there website nor an email address. I first purchased a Saturn Vue from pars cars in 2009. They tried to say I didn't qualify having no other repos and tried to sell me a chevy or ford. Management in the morrow office gave me hell and I spent 8 hours there. When it was all said and done, pars cars went from 500 down to 2200 down. The interest changed from 14% to 28%. They would not honor my coupon 500$ printed from atlanta giant site, you would think they knew of that. When I spoke to the manager they finally honored the coupon off but overcharged on the price of the saturn 02 car. It went from 12k to 15k
After I kept the saturn for 3 years they called me to upgrade or trade. I shouldn't done it, but I had lost my job and needed extra time to pay the note. I went to another small office in riverdale from the southlake dealer. I wanted a smaller car and pars cars told me I didn't qualify. I need to get a comparable car for the trade. They told me a list of cars that I do qualify for without showing me the price. Pars Cars also took me to there larger dealer in morrow and showed me the cars on the list. All the cars was a suv and nothing small. I saw the GMC and without an inception sticker. The GMC was parked in the back of the lot and Pars Cars promised they would check on the inspection. Pars cars promised me that the car was serviced was I went back to the riverdale office to wait. I made them put gas in it 10.00 before I left. When I finally got the car 3 weeks later the car went out. I took it back to their repair man and they fixed it for free. 1 month later, the GMC went out again, this time it was the water pump. First the engine light came on, and the water pump bursed within 24 hrs before I could tow it back to them. When they serviced the car the first time, I complained about the GMC made noise, and shook at the brake.
I called the Gen. Mgt Mr. Muford around 11-30 /12-1st-2011 to take the car back and left a msg, He never called me back. I called UAC and left msg to make arrangements to keep the car, but it would not run properly. So after I had it towed back to them, I had not paid 1 dime on it. The mechanic, Adam told me the car had defective parts...the water pump and wheel drive. I later decided that I could not keep this car when I realized what they charged me for it 23k for 60 mths. The payments were higher on the trade by 50 $ and the term. Plus, pars cars left my outstanding my old car the saturn on my credit file owing that balance @3k and did not add it to the higher loan to complete the trade. So on my credit file it look like I have 2 cars, the saturn and gmc. Which I gave both back.
This is a written dispute and UAC is to cease all calls and communication and contact my lawyer, McAleer. mjm
Pars Cars is a rip-off
I usually only tend to believe half of the things I read on this board, but today I am inclined to believe all I've read here about Pars Cars. Fortunately, I told them I needed to sleep on it before I signed any paperwork and I came home and read the complaints on this board. Then I ran for the hills!
Upon driving onto their lot, I noticed that EVERY car on the lot was filthy, dented, scratched, and just totally unappealing to the eye. Some of the doors were unlocked and I was able to view the interior. The cars were smelly, dirty, had cigarette burns, the paint was scratched off of the trim in some of the cars...it was awful. The salesman told me that they don't even detail the cars until after a person buys it. That seemed insulting to me. He then explained the application process. He told me that they don't let you test drive it or even get the keys to let you look at it until you've completed the application. They advertise "no credit check", but they did a credit check "to make sure you are who you say you are". After that, they show you the cars you qualify for. Seems like they do as much paperwork as they can before they show you their trashy cars...in an effort to try to hook you into the deal. I proceeded because I was desperate for a car. They first showed me a Camry. As soon as he cranked it up, smoke started pouring from the muffler. Then the guy tried to show me some mini-vans and some compact cars that all looked horrible. The next best thing was a Toyota Matrix. Looked pretty good on the outside, but the inside looked like someone took some paint thinner and washed the dashboard with it. The leather on the steering wheel and gear shift was worn, the car had dirt in it and a sticky substance in the cupholders and between the 2 front seats. It had a CASSETTE player and no CD player and the engine made a funny noise. Anyway, I refused that car and then he showed me an Expedition that he initially told me I couldn't afford. It had a cracked windshield, the driver's seat did not move forward, there was a frayed wire coming from the radio going to the glove box (nothing was on the other end of the wire--I don't know what that was all about), and the truck was just dirty on the inside. Then there was a LOT of rust on the inside of the open part of the grill. This lead me to believe that the car had been under water at some point (but I didn't realize this until I got home that night). These are just the things I noticed from giving it a BRIEF inspection. No telling what I would have found if I'd taken the time to look at it some more.
We got back to the office and started talking numbers. They offer a 14.9% interest rate and they match your down payment up to 2K. The list price of this raggedy 2003 Ford Expedition was $15998 (the price of a brand new car). I had $1000 to put down, but they wanted 3000. :-| I mentioned all of the truck's defects so they dropped the down payment to 2000. :-| Then they wanted me to pay $390/mo for 3 years. We went back and forth and ended up with 1500 down and 350/mo. Then he comes back and starts writing up the paperwork and I hadn't even agreed to anything. I had to stop him and tell him that I wasn't comfortable with the quality of the truck and that I needed to bring my dad back to inspect it and give his ok. They asked me for a $500 deposit and I did. (This was dumb on my part.) As soon as I got off the lot, I completely changed my mind about the truck. I came home and that's when I read all of these complaints. I went back yesterday at 6:30 pm to get my deposit and they told me that they could only issue a refund between 12-6pm and that they could only issue me a check (even though I paid with cash). So I had to get off work early today to get there in time to get my check then get to the bank in time to cash it.
I'm fortunate that this whole ordeal only cost me the gas money it took to drive to their lot multiple times and then the $5 it cost to cash the check. I hope that others will discover these complaints before they are bilked out of their hard earned money. I wish a news reporter would do an expose on these clowns.

you're funny, Thanks for this, I'll steer clear of pars cars. I hear they are owned by middle easterners and they historically are quite frugal to put it kindly and they are stingy and greedy so not cleaning a car until you buy it? That's pretty much the norm, low class chain smokers hey are.
i PURCHASED A CAR FROM PARS CARS, THAT WAS ONLY SUPPOSE TO BE FOR 3 YEARS NOW IT IS TURNING INTO 5 YEARS..i HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR SINCE DAY ONE.SHOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED THIS CAR.

Never Ever BUY A CAR From PARS CARS, They will rip u OFF... 1. They Prey on the poor and ignorant...!( They say you can buy a car $499.00 down that is a BIG lie, we only use that to get the customer in the door, which is not that bad but, One of us sold a 1998 ford focus wagon to a single mama for 1000 dn and $195.00 every 2 weeks. 2. I went to the Southlake location, my salesman was named Anthony Shannon (STAY AWAY FROM). I went there on New Years Eve, I was told to come in with $500 and I would drive home with car. I was dropped off and they thought they smelled blood. They said I was approved for a loan of $9999 and they only had two vehicles in their inventory for that amount, (2) 2000 GM built minivans, I came in for a 4 door sedan. anthony kept trying to pressure me to give him my $500 and that over six weeks pay them $1500 for a $2000 dn payment and then my monthly payment will begin. I left and went to mall and had to catch a cab home for $65 dollars we need to call the radio stations out for advertising them. On the People staion and the Hott station. I am going to call Bill Liss on Channel 11.

Used Cars
I purchased a 2001 Ford Focus on March 27 from Pars Cars at the price of $9954. I put $1500 down and it broke down on me on the March 28. After getting the car back to the lot on the March 29, Pars Cars advise the car was getting fix. Three days later, I picked the car up and it was still running hot. I tried to get out of the contract but the dealers kept advising me that the manager wasn't present. It took profanity in order to speak with a manager which was there each day I was at Pars Cars. He stated that it was nothing he could do. After they stated my car was fix I asked for a receit and no one could come up with one at the time. I am trying to perform a nation wild LAW SUIT AGAINST PARS CARS, because i am still stuck with the car.

i love these cars
I have been wanting to also file a nationwide lawsuit on Pars Cars. I am about to contact a lawyer because I purchased a vehicle back in October 2009 only for the transmission to go out in March 2010 along with other problems. Please contact me with any other info you may have.
we jsut bought a car from them two weeks ago and it obviously has issues.. my husband is stuck somewhere right now... law suit i want to be apart of it... This just can't be
we just bought a car two weeks ago and now my husband is right atthis momment stuck some hwere becasue the car obviously has transmission issues we want to be apart
Terrible Experience
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM PARS CARS. I purchased a car from them and was back the next day with problems. They charged me 3 times the blue book value, charged me 25% interest, required $2, 000 down, and still sold me a lemon. When I took it back, EVERYBODY in the service center waiting for their car to be repaired, had the same horror story about dealing with this operation. They claim they check the cars out but they know once you drive off the lot you are stuck, so they do just enough to get you off the lot. GEORGIA HAS NO CONSUMER PROTECTION FOR ITS CITIZENS BUYING USED CARS. LEMON LAWS ARE FOR NEW CARS ONLY. PARS CARS ARE THE SLUM LORDS AND CROOKS OF THE USED CAR BUSINESS. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. AUTOSMART IS NOT MUCH BETTER, BUT THEY WILL AT LEAST GIVE YOU A WARRANTY FOR SIX MONTHS.

co signer being sued
I co-signed with my son on a car from Pars Cars, they told me to do this for insurance purposes, he was 19, they sold him a 2000 Buick Regal total drive-out price 17, 000 dollars, one of the tires they had on the car blew out so we had to replace it 2 days after he bought the car, we asked them for the key to the rims, they gave us the run around for a week, then finally told us to take it to a wheel shop and have them break the lock, we finally got that repaired after spending 250 dollars. When it was time to make the first payment, they informed us that we had to pay in college park at United Auto, we thought it was a Buy Here Pay Here lot as advertised, after a month went by the key got stuck in the ignition and you had to unplug the battery to cut the car off, the power seats stopped working, the trans mission started leaking fluid, the brake caliber busted, and I had to replace 3 more tires. Now the car has been repossessed and they are suing me for 8000 dollars. They did not inform me that the car had been repossessed, nor did they tell me when it would be sold or for how much it sold, or how much my son still owed, they just sent a letter from the court telling me to answer in 30 days

lemons
I want everyone to know that pars cars is a scam. They do not inspect their vehicles as stated. I purchased a 2003 montan van and in one week, it started to overheat and they want me to pay towing fee. I took it to my mechanic and they reveal that the oil and water was mixing. I inform pars cars and the van is still in my driveway. I just want them to cancel and pick up the van. I also want all complaints against pars cars so that my lawyer will have more than just my words about pars cars scams. I just want to inform others people who may be thinking about buying from them. Please do not lose you hard earn money.

Our transmission needs replacing. We have not had the vehicle one week yet. We have taken the car to the service department for 2 days in a row and called the first day. I went to AAMCO and they verified that the transmission is going out. It knocks hard in 4th gear and they seem not hear that when we hear it every time we drive the car. I have filed a BBB complaint and a review on the website. I have been dealing with a couple of nice people like Heidi and Corey and Jerry...but that Rodney at the Mt. Zion location is a liar and I think he start to believe his own lies that he tell so well. It is a hot mess and I will never recommend anyone to go that dealership ever...None of the locations...if our car is repaired I will repost and let you all know...right now its a mess!
Scam Scam, do NOT purchase a car from this company...bad transmission would not repair. I would not make another payment. 2 years later Garnishment of my wages. No type of agreement for payments.
Sounds like a scam. I am looking at the commercial now and I also looked at their website and noticed that they have no prices on their vehicles. Also they do business with United Auto Acceptance and that's a scam right there.
I agree with the purchaser of this SUV...I had a similar incident with Pars Cars, they scammed me and it took all day to purchase a vehicle with them also. they told lies and schemed me and later jacked my notes up before wanted to confiscate my vehicle. I paid them lots of money for the vehicle and within a couple of months they were trying to repossess my car. I contacted them and offered to settle the contract with a voluntary return only if the contract was null and void..meaning the money and repairs I paid in exchange for the return of the vehicle...they agreed I typed a letter and had it notorized, returned the vehicle, they assured me it would be a voluntary return...and later hit my credit with a repossession, and had the nerve to send me to collections, and try to bring charges against me for payment. I will never deal with pars cars anymore and i would never refer anyone to them as well as encourage anyone to deal with this dealership. I suggest everyone to look and learn the company before you leap..better yet DON'T LEAP AT ALL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE A RIPOFF.

Consumer's Original Complaint:
We went to Pars Cars on false advertisement of people with bad credit can purchase a car for only 14.9%. They give you 14.9% alright after they jack up the price of the car at least 10 to 15 thousand dollars and payments on a four year old car financed for five years. I Purchased 2005 Chevy Tahoe on 03/6/09, when we got to the dealership we were told we could not test drive a vehicle until we were credit approved. We decided to just leave when another sales person came out and asked if he can help. We test drove 3 vehicles and was taken into the dealership for paper work. we should have left when it took 3 hours of waiting, by this time we were told we need to put money down for the deal to go smooth...this was just so they would have our money and we would not just leave without nothing. After we gave them the deposit of 2500.00 for the vehicle things got even slower. They also told us we were approved for 13, 900. but the price of the suv was actually 26, 900. We were there all day...well over eight hours. They then said the deal was done they just need a thousand dollars more for the deposit..not knowing the price of the vehicle was 26, 900.A total of 3500.00 deposit for a used 4 year old vehicle Once they so called approved us it still took several more hours. They told us that they were going to take off the rims and this was standard for every vehicle they sell. Once we got the suv and took it home..we founded out the tires they put on the suv don't fit...they put the wrong tires on the suv. We then had to call constantly to get someone to fix this problem we finally got some sort of help on this. But to top it off we were not told we had to bring all payments to them in Southlake each time we make a payment... we later founded out that the suv we purchased was under water for some time. We are having to replace all bearings on the front and back wheels of the suv...very expensive..it cost us about 1500.00 just for these repairs on a suv we purchased less than 3 weeks ago.

They took the tires and rims off of the Tahoe and put the wrong size tires on the truck. They deceived us when taking the tires off the truck, that could have cost a major accident.
They deceived us about the total bottom line price of the truck. I was told that they approved me for 13, 900.00, I didn't know they doubled that price 1.We want those rims and tires back with better tires 2.and a refund for the repairs that was made in less than 30 days. We paid them 3500.00 for a down payment and still have to make major repairs on this truck in less then 30 days, and was told it will completely be put out of commission if they are not made immediately. We want that money back, because we later founded out that the suv we purchased was under water for about 2 years. We are having to replace all bearings on the front and back wheels of the suv...very expensive..it cost us about 1500.00 just for these repairs on a suv we purchased less than 3 weeks ago. The passenger door will not open from the inside. If they cannot do these 2 things we want them to return our 3500.00 and we will return the truck to them. Very dissatisfied customer. Businesses like this should not be allowed to operate, they run scams on innocent hard working people who need a little help getting back on their feet. How can the State of Georgia allow such scams to go on in Georgia?
