false advertisement
I went to purchase glasses after getting my eye exam at Doctor's Value Vision and it is advertised to buy one pair of glasses and get one pair free any frames and any lenses. I picked out two frames with my prescription and the first pair was $250. 00 + so I thought i would get the other pair free, but they advised that the total cost would be $500.00 +. That means i paid full price for the second pair. Now where is the buy one get one free. Either your advertisement is false or your store located on Volunteer Pkwy. in Bristol Tennessee is pocketing $ over $250.00. I would hate to think your stores are cheating people that really need to have glasses to better our eye sight. I am in the process of speaking with an attorney and contacting the better business bureau. I would really hate to see that your company is a bunch of dishonest cheaters that take advantage of the public in these bad times. If needed I can provide a picture of your false advertisement sign and a photograph of my receipt. thanks for nothing.

service
Me along with two other coworkers called and made appointments at this location, 2:30, 3:00, and 3:30. We arrived at Doctor's Value Vision on Charlotte Pike at 2:26 did our paperwork and sat there for 30 mins waiting. Another customer arrived and was seen 5mins after she finished her paperwork. We went to the desk clerk and told her we were leaving, I asked her why was that lady seen before us, she told me we were next after her because she has an appointment. We informed her that we all had appointments also. She looked through her book and she said the only appointment she had was for the young lady who was being seen. So I asked my co worker to find the phone number in her phone that she called. My co worker called out the first three digits and the desk clerk called out the last four and then said, "yes that's our number". We left the store. I have never been treated so horribly in my life. Not only was the desk clerk rude and not very helpful, but there were several employees standing around doing NOTHING. One employee went outside to take a smoke. There were six or seven customers in the store, including myself and no one acknowledged any of the customers.
Bad Service
My mother (80+) purchased glasses at Doctor's Value Vision. A few days after she got the glasses one of the lens fell out. We took them back and had the lens put back in. Then after several trips to have the lens put in and the glasses readjusted, she resigned herself to learning how to put the lens in herself. The frames became so out of line that she was embarrased to wear them. So back to Value Vision we went. This time nothing they could do made them look close to normal. Then the gal took the lens out of the frames and tried to put them into another identical frame. That is when they discoveded there was a defect in the lens. This was a defect from the onset. Since this was a flaw in the lens at purchase we felt that Value Vision should make this right with us.
They refused to do anything. They did not have record of all the times we took the glasses to them to fix. They told us in a very sweet way they would give us 50% off. I figured it up and their 50% would cost more than going to another company! Thanks a lot! If anyone has a better way of dealing with this let me know.
