dvds would not work
Ordered X-Files complete season. Items came and looked pirated, visually the formatting on each dvd was inconsistent. A majority of the DVDs would not play at all or would skip. Contacted DVDMD.TV in Dec of 2008 and they initally said they would send us replacement dvds for the broken ones. It is now March 19th, 2009 and we have still not recieved the replacement dvds. DVDMD.TV stopped returning our emails and there is no number to call and contact them directly. We must have emailed them at least 5 times. We contacted our credit card company to report them and there is nothing they can do since they have a 120 day limit for claims, so we were forced to eat the $150 we paid for the set. Lesson to us, you get what you pay for... Do not order anything from them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Ripped off
I ordered a box set through this company. And it did arrive quickley. However the quality was very poor and it was covered in chinese subtitles. This was not what I was expecting. I emailed them to get details about returning the box set. They gave these details. And I then returned the box set to an address in China. I scanned the post office recept and...

I ordered two box sets from this American company and they were shipped out very promptly. I had problemss with one of the box sets that I had ordered, but the company were very quick to reply to my e-mails and sent two replacement series out of the box sets. After continuing viewing the dvds there were further problems. I asked the company if I could send the disks back and have a refund, they gave me the address details and advised that if I scanned the postal receipt I would receive a refund within 24 hours. I sent this twice and did not receive a reply, I continued to e-mail but did not receive a reply, after a week they e-mailed and apoligised for the delay and said that they would look into the matter and e-mail me when they were issuing a refund, that was 2 weeks ago and I have since sent several more e-mails. I feel as though I have been mistreated and do not have anyway of taking this forward as it is not a UK company and I did not pay on my credit card but my debit card. I paid postage and packing to receive the dvds and postage and packing to send the dvds back and now I have suffered a financial loss.
I ordered a Friends boxset for my daughters birthday. When it arrived it was damaged. I emailed the company and was told to send it back, at a cost of £11.00, on top of the £71.58 I had already paid for item. I did not receive a replacement or refund and tried for a year with emails going to their support address. Firstly they said after a few months that I would recieve a postal order that I could cash. They could not refund my card as it had been too long since I ordered the goods. After a year my emails have not been delivered. I am disgusted at this company's lack of integrity and blattant lying.I have four children and could not afford to loose £80.
Ordered a box set of a popular tv show from these people in June 2007. The set consists of 47 discs and it arrived after about two weeks. To be safe I checked each disc played ok when I received them. All the discs were fine except one which has Chinese subtitles. Have sent numerous emails and received numerous promises to replace the faulty disc but I've now given up. Dvdmd.tv have no intention of replacing the faulty disc. Judging by the complaints on the web I'm lucky to only have one faulty disc. Don't buy from these rip-off artists, pay a little extra and be assured of decent customer service.
I ordered the first four seasons of Lost from this company in early February (9th or so). I next received an email notice of shipping with a tracking number. A week later or so I tried the tracking number and it lead nowhere. I contacted the company by email and they said it was correct. When it continued to lead nowhere, I looked online at the comments and was appalled by everyone else's experience with this company. I immediately wrote to them and clarified what was NOT in their product information...that this is a product from the far east (?China) but they claimed it was "authorized." I asked them by whom was it "authorized" and they did not reply. I immediately demanded that they cancel the order and refund the charge. That was probably around the third week of February.
Yesterday (March 9, 2009), I received an email from them informing me that the product was out of stock at their distributor (remember the earlier email confirming shipping with a tracking number) and they were going to refund the price.
I immediately reported them to my credit card company, disallowed the charge, and asked that they investigate the apparent fraud they had committed. I am placing this warning on this web site and also intend to file a complaint with the BBB as well as with the U.S. Department of Commerce or whatever appropriate federal agency will handle this complaint.
Their website does not contain any contact information other than the opportunity to send an email to them from within the "Contact Us" page.
I sent for Brothers and Sisters series, 1 and 2 on 2/11/09. After awhile, when I did not receive them, I called their 800 number. They assured me the DVD'S were shipped.
They asked me to give them until 'Monday.' I did that. They sent another E-mail saying they were 'sorry' they could NOT process my order. Remember, they told me the DVD'S were already shipped!
They told me they are going to credit my account in the amount of $121.71. It never happened! I plan to contact my bank, but, I don't have much hope of getting the credit to my account.
I hope you can help everyone who has been affected by these people, and that you have some power to be sure we get our money refunded.
I ordered and received Cold Case Seasons 1-4. But, a number of the disks would not play, or had sound problems or skipped/jumped all over the place. They were recorded off TV with the advertisements removed (along with the credits). When I contacted dvdmd.tv about the problems, they promised prompt replacement at their expense. But - they lied. They continued to promise replacement disks for about 3 emails - then quit answering my emails altogether. I recommend you do not trust them and find reputable suppliers.
DVDMD.TV sent me damaged discs when I first ordered. Then asked me to mail them back at my own expense so that I could get a refund or replacement. I did so and they stopped answering my e-mails. I called thier help line (which has since been disconnected) multiple times and each time they assured me that my replacement was on it's way. I have never recieved a replacement or a refund and am still being ignored by the company.
I paid over $200 for CSI seasons 1-8 and Bones seasons 1-3 and never recieved my puchase. DVDMD stopped answering me e-mails when I took up their offer for a refund. They waited just long enough that now I have no product and it is now too late to file a complaint when my credit card company. I WANT SOMETHING DONE NOW! I don't care if they send me my product or give me a refund but I want results of some kind!
GOOD News! My bank called there bank, my monet was put back into my account! Dont mess with calls and emails, they dont work! Call your bank and ask for a complaint issue, bank to bank
This company is doing the samething TVDVD had done! Tracking numbers from UPS that does not exsist. After weeks and calls to them, they say they have dicided to refund the money back to my bank account weeks ago! Lies, no way has that happen! They have stolen my money
Ordered a dvd in sept. through dvdmd.tv and paid by paypal. no dvd not answering email. was ripped off
