Very disappointing service indeed
Poor quality or never received - i bought the series of China Beach and also the movie 'Campus Man' in July 2007. I was charged for both on the 3rd of July. i received the China Beach DVD, some were repeated on the discs and a couple were very poor quality. i have never received 'Campus Man'. After several emails which at the start were delt with quickly i have received no further communication about replacement DVD's or the Campus Man movie since September 2007. i have sent several emails with no response. Very disappointing service indeed.
Sub-par Merchandise
My story is all too common by this point, but here goes anyway. I ordered the entire series of 'The Fall Guy" off of TVADDICTS.TV near the beginning of May, 2010. The funny part was after I ordered, I then happened upon this complaint site which had plenty to say about TVADDICTS. Obviously, I became very concerned after reading the countless tales of distress so many people had shared. Only a small handful of accountings mentioned the merchandise recieved was in passable condition. Needless to say, I was very much bothered after reading those.
Well, today (May 14, 2010), my order did arrive. I never expected the packaging or discs to be anything special (which they weren't), but I was hoping the content on the discs would be okay.
What I found immediately were the episodes had been taped off of FX a number of years ago. In fact, the overall image quality is akin to a VHS cassette tape on its last legs. Is the picture viewable? Yes. Can the sound be heard? Yes. How would I rate the conditions of the sound and picture? Simple, I would give it a 'D' grade.
Now, as of today (May 14, 2010), the website 'TVADDICTS.TV appears to be gone. Whenever I have accessed it, a mostly blank white screen appears on my monitor with a three word message which reads:
"Content not available"
I am assuming TVADDICTS.TV has split the scene. They'll undoubtedly appear under a new name before long (if they haven't done so already). Of minor consolation, as of today, my credit card has not been charged for anything other than this $78 purchase.
Am I going to try to get replacements or reimbursements? No. After having read other grueling accounts from people attemting to be refunded, I have come to the conclusion it's not worth the time or energy. This is a scam style operation, and so I'm not going to bother. Instead, I am going to write this off as a very cheap lesson learned.
The only reason I made this purchase was because The Fall Guy was my all time favorite show, and I wanted all of its seasons. Instead, I get a poor VHS quality picture imported from China. How lovely. The lesson here? Only purchase actual studio releases.
In closing, I would strongly encourage anyone who had been toying with the idea of making a purchase like this to reconsider. Companies like TVADDICTS.TV (if in fact they are a company) are con artists and scammers. I suspect the reason this site I've mentioned here has shut down is because the "heat" is on them. Definitely steer clear of these sorts of places.
Never Received DVDs
I submitted an order on Feb. 1 2010, and on February 10th, I still had not received any shipping information. Fortunately, they also had not charged my card. I was able to call them, but when the person answered, there was no company name included in the greeting, which I thought was very odd. They said they had experienced technical difficulties and that I would receive an email shortly. He didn't even take my name or order number, so that sounded like ALL shipments must have been delayed.
I had read about the other complaints about this company online, so I also sent them an email. I replied to my one email I had received that said my order had been placed and I should receive another confirmation email within 24 hours (which never came). They responded to that email within minutes and said that the DVD set I had ordered was on back order and they should receive a new shipment within a week. I really couldn't wait that long anyway because it was a gift. I sent them an email to cancel my order, and they promptly responded saying that my order was cancelled and my card had not been charged.
I was still very concerned about all the negative comments online about this company, and since they still had my credit card information, I decided to cancel that card with my bank just be sure. Perhaps this would have worked out okay, but I didn't want to take the chance. When I found these DVDs the price seemed too good to be true, so I guess it really was too good.
Proceed with caution.

No refund for faulty goods!
Ordered a box set of DVD's. Arrived ok, should have been 83 episodies on 15 discs. All discs are present but 32 of the episodies are missing! Contacted the company right away & asked for a refund, this was agreed. Been waiting ever since, it's now over 6 months to refund $180. I have sent them 65 emails & all I hear is "your refund is under review" although it was approved in July '07. Then they tell me they are having trouble refunding back to my credit card. I asked them to send me a cheque but they can't do that either! Next time I email them it back to "your refund is still under review". I have asked to speak to a manager & get cut off, this has happened 3 times. I've asked for there mailing address to write to the Managing Director but they do not respond! Just because I'm in the UK they think I can't do anything about it. Beleive me I will!

let down with online order
I placed an order with tvaddicts.tv on the 3rd June 2008 and gave them my debit card details online. This was for a DVD package which was supposed to be delivered within 7 days of placing the online order. I have received an email update everyday from the company stating that the goods are still out of stock and I have called the company several times. emails bounce back and nobody picks up the phone so I am assuming they are a hoax company. I have just checked with my bank and it would appear that this company haven't made any charge to my card so maybe they are just a crap company rather than a hoax company, however eitehr way, I think they need to be investistgated as alot of time has been wasted trying to ascertain what is going on with my order. I have now cancelled my online order and hope that my card doesn't get charged at a later date.
I have bought the full series of Dharma & Greg, a total of 15 DVDs for 100 USD
Several of the DVDs are defect and cannot be played at all. On the remaining DVDs I found that the show was a "homemade" recording, only with adds edited out. Some episodes were cut off in the middle due to lack of disc space.
I have tried to reach Tvaddicts via e-mail or toll-free number, but neither works. The site is a scam.
They also call themselves:
TVDVDWORLD.tv
UltimateDVDshop.tv
DVDadmin
DVDDonkey
tvaddicts.tv
[protected] will get through but you will get no where with them. File a complaint with the Florida BBB as that appears to be where the call center is. Encourage others to do the same and post back on Complaints board often.
This company has kept us on the hook for 3 months. They promised to deliver but nothing ever showed up. They even charged our card - which we had to get taken off. Don't buy ANYTHING from this company.
I paid for full season of Crossing Jordan and Judging Amy but have not received the goods from TVAddicts.TVShow company. As I work for a Federal Government Department, I shall be taking this matter to the Fraud Section for a full investigation. I have sent this company an email stating this fact and shall await their reply.
I ordered the complete series of COVER UP from tvaddicts.tv on 28 december2007. the company has already taken payment from my bank. they first acknowledged receiving my order and promised that i will receive it as soon as possible. Then i received emails asking me to supply my order number, but when i do so i receive no reply. This has been going since december 2007.
www.allmyfavoriteshows.com complaints. It's the same company. I ordered a DVD box set yesterday, but after reading many complaints of the two companies (www.allmyfavoriteshows.com and www.tvaddicts.tv) I canceled my order. I can't get in contact with any of the companies today, therefore I closed my credit card to prevent them to abuse my credit card.
I ordered 3 seasons of the Waltons early November. Never received order confirmation despite repeated emails and nothing ever arrived.
Buyers beware - this website is bogus. I ordered a DVD set on 10/23/08. Within 48 hours, there were several unauthorized charges on my credit card. Fortunately, my bank was proactive. I have filed a formal complaint with the US Attorney's office.
I attempted to purchace a DVD from this company. Within hours my credit card had been used to purchase thousands of dollars worth of stuff from I-tunes gift cards to airline tickets (Air Canada).
I should have looked at this web page first!
I bought a series from tvaddicts.tv, and received it, but several episodes were missing. They kept promising to send it, but it has now been over a year, their contact details and phone numbers have disappeared off the site, so they are no longer contactable.
Terrible rip off!
In late 2006 I purchased a dvd set titled The Incredible Hulk complete series 1-5 from tvdvdplanet.com, the copy I was sent was defective and not as described, I was promised a replacement or a refund and nothing happened. For the next two months repeated emails I sent were ignored, I later found the site had been shut down, after a couple of months I found two replica sites with different names by accident. I confronted them via email saying I knew it was the same company; the sites were exactly the same except coloring and a different phone number, they didn't deny this and promised me again a replacement or refund.
The site I was now dealing with was dvdavenue.tv, I opted for a refund and was promised I would get it. In the two or so months after that I was repeatedly told my refund was being processed, every time I asked what the delay was I was told there was a problem processing my refund. I offered to give my credit card details again, I was twice told that my card had been refunded but it never was, I asked to speak to the manager and made it known how bad I was being treated, every answer I was sent was the same words verbatim with a different name at the bottom.
I was repeatedly lied to and misled, I even threatened legal action but couldn't find out how to go about it so I gave up. Two months ago I found another replica site tvaddicts.tv, again there was no denial and this time I simply asked for a replacement and I was told I'd get it. The company asked for my original order number, I gave it and received no answer, I sent a couple more emails expressing how yet again I was being ignored and mistreated.
This is a company that has several replica sites, they have altered their sites names by adding .tv and removing .com and have other sites with different names. I have since discovered dvdavenue.tv no longer exists. This company sells defective dvd sets and keeps customers money, makes repeated unfulfilled promises of replacements and refunds but never delivers and repeatedly lies to their customers, I have come across other complaints similar to mine.
I have been treated appallingly since late 2006; this company has altered their site names so as not to be found and when I did find them I have been given fake apologies and repeatedly lied to, misled and ignored.
This company may have other replica sites but as yet I have only found the ones mentioned in this report, six in total, two of which have been shut down. I believe this company's web sites should be shut down and that they shouldn't be able to operate.
Scam and abuse!
I ordered the complete Cosby Show series on 12-14-07 and was immediately charged $127.72 on my credit card. After 2 weeks and no product, I attempted to call their toll free number... out of service. i then attempted to contact them via email... they responded 6 days later and said please be patient, it's coming. Then I received 3 emails over 8 days stating that the item was on backorder and I could cancel the order by replying tot he email send to me by them. Well, they kept sending me emails, but never canceled the order. Finally got someone on their live chat and they begged me to be patient and kept offering me perks... like 10% off my purchase. Finally got them to say they would refund my money but would take 10 business days... still nothing. Finally disputed charge on my Visa and am hoping to get it resolved quickly. BUYER BEWARE!
I ordered the 10 season freinds disks for my friends birthday.
my creditcard was charged disks arrived all seems ok half the disks dont work ,some are fuzzy unwatch able and a few others arenot even friends episods.
ive emailed the company a few time with a im sorry we will forward your order shortly i havent recieved these replacements yet and this has been going on for 10mnths i no longer get a reply from tvaddicts.tv DO NOT BE THE NEXT TO GET SCAMMED DONT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE.
i now have to be put out of pocket again and buy these dvds . this time from a shop.
TVADDICTS.TV is selling illegal packaged DVD sets of the entire series of Everwood. Now, as a huge Everwood fan, I've been waiting for the WB to finally release seasons two through four on DVD, which they apparently refuse to do because they won't make a big enough profit, as season one didn't sell well enough to satisfy them.
In any case, the only way tvaddicts.tv could have accessed the entire series on DVD is to have taped them and produced them for profit without permission -- which we all know is illegal. Along with the complaints about horrible customer service from this company, I'd like to point out that if these scam-artists can be tracked down, they can easily be charged as criminals.
If anyone has the ability to track these people down and turn them in, please do so.
I, as well, stumbled across this website too late. I ordered the complete series of "Scarecrow and Mrs. King," a great 80s tv show. I was charged 3 times, paying over $230, for DVDs that turned out to be extremely poor-quality pirated discs. Basically recorded straight off of the television, the DVDs arrived damaged and won't play. I've tried several times to contact the company, attempting to return the DVDs and get a refund, but am STILL waiting for a response that I fear will never come.
Don't purchase anything from tvaddicts.tv (or dvdavenue.tv, one of their other names). They're scamming jerks and I've since learned that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (the company is "located" in Canada) are already investigating them.
I have been fighting this company for almost a year, even threatened them with a lawsuit. That was unrealistic since their physical address appears to be a dark secret. I have sent approximately 15 e-mails trying to get this resolved. Always promises from them, but no results. They even told me that an e-mail would be forthcoming with a new tracking number. That was two months ago. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, and advise others to do the same. They are scam artists and I would like to see their scamming stopped. A class action suit would be the answer, and I would gladly lend my name to one if there is no charge for this.
My wife and I ordered some dvds from tvaddicts.tv a few weeks ago, totaling over $105. We never got a confirmation email, which made us start wondering what was going on, so we did some checking and found this site. We tried canceling our order, but could never get anyone to answer an email, and they didn't have a phone number. We kept checking our credit card account online, and they never even charged the amount, instead they started charging other things, using my home address. Luckily I caught it after the first 3 charges and had my card canceled. There weren't even smart enough to charge my card for what I ordered from them before they started using my card for other things. So they got nothing.
Like obviously many before me, purchased RAWHIDE DVD Box set through tvaddicts.tv. Shd have searched 'frauds' first. Arrived today and are clearly pirated and a very poor copy (about the only thing correct in their description is that the DVDs will be "Presented in full screen format - exactly as it was shown on television" True. Given they've recorded straight from a TV with no aerial, poor reception, dodgy sound and by someone with a shaky camera hand. Comments I've read seem to indicate no-one knows where they are based. if it's any help with your claims, the despatch document/AWB with the package I received shows they came from 'BEIERLAN CO LTD' NO.186 YUHUA RD, SHIJIAZHUANG. am going through the process of demanding a refund, but at least it is paid by credit card with a standard dispute procedure. it may take a while but probably a good chance at least the bank will refund me and the merchant then has to prove the transaction is valid. (have done this before and it is worth the wait - unlikely the fraudsters would challenge it and banks tend to refund first, and onus is on merchant to prove otherwise...)
I ordered a set of Murder She Wrote DVD series on 11-26 07. I was charged on my credit card, but as of yet have received nothing. They will not answer an e-mail or a phone call. It is robery. This was suppose to be a Christmas Gift.
File a complainent on the FBI website for Internet Crime (fraud, copyright infrigement) at www.ic3.gov
For those who live in the United States the web site for filing a international internet fraud complaint is www.ic3.gov. All who have been victims of TV addicts.TV should file a complaint until the FBI investigates them just to stop the flood of complaints.
I went to know how i can order the six milliondallorman and have it send to me
Scam and rip off!
On Dec. 28 I bought from tvaddicts.tv Who's The Boss the Complete Series on DVD, this show hasn't came out yet, so I thought they were selling DVDs taped from the TV, I knew that and I didn't care, I just wanted to watch my favorite show! Anyway one week later they sent me an e-mail telling me that my order was 'backordered', i used their 'Live Support'about 3 times and they always told that I will receive my order in about a week.
I has been a month and so, and no answer from them, they took out any ways of communication with them and I haven't received my order yet! I don't think about a refund, that's almost impossible looking at how I got ripped off, but at least I want my order shipped, I don't care if they are poor quality or not, I just want to watch my favorite show!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I should have read this website first. I ordered the Fresh Prince of BelAir DVD Box set. Never got the DVD, and I was charged more on my credit card than my receipt indicated. I've called, I've emailed, I've done live chat, you cannot get in touch with anyone. I just called my credit card company to dispute it and she said it's an 'international' company, so therefore it will take close to 120 days to get any resolution.
I have ordered two lots of DVD from the abovementioned company and do not know where they are located in the USA.
The first order was the complete series of Hart to Hart, the second one was the complete set of Judging Amy and Beauty and the Beast.
I have ordered these in January, 2008 and paid for them by credit card. I have not received any e-mails telling me when I am to receive them by shipping mail.
I have requested this several times, and am getting a little worried as to if I have lost my money, or that I will ever receive my orders.
The e-mails that I send to the above address are being sent back saying not received at this address?
What can I do now? I do so want to receive the DVD sets as I have ordered them for my ill daughter, who has been ill since November last year, and I cannot afford to pay for these orders again.
Could you possibly help me out here?
Thanking you in antipation of my urgent request.
Yours faithfully,
ROBYN PLANT
Well, I found this site too late as well. I contacted them about my Muppets DVD boxed set. I bought it at dvddonkey.com. They charged my card over $100.00. I contacted them through the live chat AFTER trying the 877-7-TV SHOW (joke) and the 877-TV-SERIES. "Marie" answered and here is our entire conversation:
Please wait for a site operator to respond.
All operators are currently assisting others. Thanks for your patience. An operator will be with you shortly.

You are now chatting with 'Marie'
Marie: hi
Marie: how may i help you?
you: Hello?
you: Hi I just read two recent complaints stating that this company did not deliver over $1000 order and that this company is fake What type of information can you provide to me, ie where they are actually located, phone number, etc.
you: I placed an order earlier this month and now I am concerned.
Marie: our contact number is 1-877-tv-show
Marie: we been in this business for more than 4 years now (at this point I was getting concerned due to the grammar here..."we been in this business...? yikes)
Marie: i dont think we're going to be here until now if we dont provide good customer service
you: is there a way you can check on my order
you: i am only checking because my husband is a police officer and he is mad that i did this on line
you: he said there is so much ID fraud
Marie: well we cannot please everybody, maybe our competitor is doing all this stuff
Marie: we just want to continue providing our customers what they need
you: can you check on my order?
you: and i thought the site said the number is 877-tv series
Marie: that's our other number
you: can you tell me about my order please
Marie: what's your transactin id
you: plus 877 tv show doesnt equal enough numbers
you: my husband is getting the print out for my id number
you: believe me i will file charges if this is fraud
you: why did you give me an incomplete phone number?
you: hello?
you: hello?
you: hello? (after waiting several minutes...)
you: Well well well
you: that's fine
you: thank goodness we are so close with officers in the fraud and forgery department
you: i have recorded this entire conversation
you: i want a call back within 24 hours with an date of delivery of my dvd set
you: You can find my order under Aimee AXXXX
you: along with that you will locate my phone number
Chat session has ended.
And I was "hung-up" on basically.
Does anyone know where they are located so we can contact the fraud and forgery dept? Please respond to my comment. This needs to be stopped!
I found this site too late! Last friday (1 - 4 - 08) I ordered Ally McBeal The Complete Series from www.tvaddicts.tv. I received two emails. One shortly after my purchase confirming the order. The second, a few days after, saying they had processed my order and that I would receive another email "shortly" with a tracking number for the package. I have received no such email as of today (1 - 7 - 08) and I am irate that this happend! They charged my card $116! They charged like $20 for shipping ALONE! I emailed them. I tried to Chat "live" with them. I even called their phoney hotline. Its a scam. Anyway, has anyone sent real fraud complaints into any knd of law enforcement or has anyone gotten their money back?! (I'm a broke pre-college student) I wasted my hard-earned money on this scam! Please email me if you have ANY info about this "company"!

I ordered Roseanne the complete collection and was so happy I finally found it! The I received the DVDS in a flimsy envelope and all the cases were broken. I called and they said they would replace all the cases. Of course they did not. Then I pop in the DVDS and to my surprise and anger they were taped off of the TV!? There are missing shows also. I wished I could of seen this site before I bought them. I knew it was too good to be true finding the whole series for $100!
I think I just figured out how to get around these &%*^... Go to the website where you ordered from, click on live chat and ask if they have the product that you were screwed out of in stock. When they answer yes! Then give them your original order number and demand that the replacement, the original or whatever be sent out immediately with a follow up email.. give them 24 hours to respond then go again! I just caught them! I found out that they have my product in stock, and they have until noon tomorrow to respond with a valid tracking number.
DON'T LET UP ON THESE JERKS! IF WE ALL STICK TOGETHER, FILE AS MANY COMPLAINTS, AND SHARE TIPS WE MIGHT ACTUALLY GET THROUGH TO THEM!
WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS TOMORROW! I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW!
I also wish I had read the MANY complaints regarding this company before I placed an order. I bought and paid for the complete series of Touched by an Angel over a month ago and have yet to receive it. The company is unreachable by telephone and their website is non-responsive. I'm not even sure if it's still up. I bought the series for a friend who was so very excited. it was expensive and it's a total loss on so many levels.
PLEASE do not place an order with this company. They are completely unethical and fraudulent.
That site is selling pirated tv shows. Of Hart to Hart, only seasons 1 and 2 have been released by Sony. It's torture to wait, as there is some holdup with releasing the other seasons, but tvaddicts is selling counterfeit merchandise. IF these dvds even exist (which I doubt), they are probably copied from tv and burned onto dvds. The result would be very poor quality. That is, again, if those dvds even exist.
I just received the Brooklyn Bridge series from them, the DVD case was smashed, and the cover was torn. I have not checked the discs quality yet, but this was going to be a gift, no way I can give it looking like this what a joke. Also, these were shipped from Canada and took almost 3 weeks. They also tried to double charge me when I ordered this, but I checked with my credit card company, and found out before they could get away with it...
These ### have ripped me off too! I ordered the complete series of "The Pretender" in January 2008 and have received nothing. I got an email saying it was on back order and after 3 months of emailing them and waiting for some response I have still received nothing. I've requested a refund and sent numouros emails and still nothing. I will be reporting this and taking legal action. These ### will pay!
A rip off artist of a company!
February of 2007 I ordered the dvd set Babylon 5: Seasons 1-5 for $120. When the package arrived they had shipped me a set of dvd's for some tv show "Ed" which I had never heard of and did not want. I called and was told to send it back and they would ship the correct item. I sent it back... and waited. Since then I have had 14 email messages go back and forth with them always promising to send my order. The last message on 1-9-08 I was told they would be sending me the tracking number. I have not heard since then, and even sent another message two weeks later that got no response. I went to the web site and see that they advertise the Babylon 5 series so must have it. But they have deactivated any connection on the website to send them an email. If you click on "contact us" you go to a page that tells you that you can email them any time but gives no email address. They seem to be stealing from people left and right.
Where did you get an address to send it back? My item from them came from Canada and then they gave me some bogus address in Miami, FL to mail back to. UPS says it doesn't exist.
Order never received
I placed an order on December 11, 2007 and it was posted to my credit card on December 13, 2007. As of this date (January 20, 2008) I have not received my order and the vendor will not respond to e-mail or telephone calls. On a previous order that I placed the DVD's were very poor quality and there is nothing wrong with my DVD player. It is brand new. There were also DVD's in the collection that were not part of the titled collection and once again the customer service response is very poor.
I have notified my credit card company and requested that they reverse the charge on my account. I will continue to report the poor service relating to tvaddicts.tv in any method or website that I can find.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Hi,
Dose anyone no the contact details for tvaddicts.tv cause i received my item but 6 of the 16 disc had nothing on it, i also lead to believe the dvds i order was original.
Wow, I wish I had found this place earlier! I ordered the DVD of "Cupid" from TVAddicts at the end of Oct. '07, and was charged immediately (about $66). After weeks of not receiving, I started trying to contact them. Called the phone number and left a message that was never returned. Tried the online contact form multiple times and never got a response. Even tried the live help, had to wait 15 minutes for the girl to wake up, then got extremely stilted, unhelpful response. Have since received several emails saying my DVDs are backordered, but when I click the link to cancel and get my refund... "Oops we can't find that page." When I go to the website and click on the email link, there is no email. I finally decided to complain to the Better Business Bureau, but they require an address, and, of course, TVAddicts gives none.
I guess the money paid is my stupid lesson for not checking the "company" out better, but it really pisses me off.
I'm glad I found this site and your complaint. I was considering ordering from them but recieved similiar Customer Service problems. I've left 4 voicemail messages, 2 emails and have been calling everyday and am not able to get anything but a computer telling me no one is available. I hope you get your money back and this "company" gets shut down!
I was ripped off also. I ordered Amos and Andy DVDs on Jan 5 and all I got was a back order E mail and a bogus phone answering recording. They are scared to talk to us on the phone and we need to sue them for thousands of dollars.

In January I googled to find a TV show on DVD as I couldn't get it in Australia. I found TVaddicts.tv had what I wanted, the site looked comprehensive and OK, had secure ordering and as I hadn't had any other problems ordering from America, I went with it.
They readily confirmed my order on the 13th January 08, then confirmed payment on the 14th, then on the 15th I was emailed a backorder notice. I enquired about how long it would take, it was not until the 6th February I got an answer (8 identical) asking me to be patient and they will keep me informed, I replied by email but it bounced back.
On the 13th February I received an automatic backorder notice from TVDVDWorld.tv which had a link "cancel and refund my order" which went nowhere. On the 14th and 15th Feb I received emails as the day before but these also said my credit card had NOT been charged. This was FALSE. I've emailed several times since then asking for a refund, it's now April and I still haven''t had a reply, refund or a parcel.
