Cancellation of order, insulting e-mail
i found a dvd i wanted on their site but didn't want to fill out all my contact information just in order to get to checkout so i could find out how much shipping would be. i saw no way of contacting them but eventually managed to send an e-mail somehow, typing "are you there?" in the subject line. today i was wondering whatever happened to my order so i...

On May 23, I ordered a DVD movie on MediaOutlet.com entitled: "Ironclads" (1991) at $8.69 on order number: 11410. Three days later I received an email from EarthStation.com, which is connected to that site,
stating that the shipping process had begun and that it would be put in the mail the next day. It has been six weeks since and I have received neither the item nor a refund. When I tried to contact this organization via: [protected]@mediaoutlet.com they set me a patronizing copy of a Washington Post article published in Oct. 2021 on the expected slow delivery coming from the USPS. And asked for redress of this three times and after the third time they did not reply. Stay away from this site. They are either crooks or the worst customer service online. Go to Belle and Blade Home Video which has excellent delivery time, customer service and fine playing products. I got "Ironclads" from them within 11 days after order.
Desired outcome: I'd like a refund. But I warn buyers to beware of MediaOutlet.com.
Undelivered goods
I have not yet received the items I purchased on Dec 27 2011 under Order Number 4172, MediaOutlet [ [protected]@mediaoutlet.com] alleged to have been shipped from Bayonne New Jersey USA via USPS First Class International for destinations outside the U.S on Dec 30 2011: 1 x The World A Television History 7 DVDs All 26 Episodes () for the fully paid price = $39.49 + 1 x The Story Of Civilization Will & Ariel Durant All 11 Audiobooks () for the fully paid price = $14.49. Sub-Total: $53.98 + USPS International First Class Mail (1-10 Discs), International Priority Mail (11+) (*FREE SHIPPING!*): $ 0.00 - Total: $53.98.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Wouldn't bother with them either. Been waiting over 6 months for a DVD to be shipped from the US to NZ. They blame it on the NZ postal system which isnt true. They should be sending items by priority post otherwise warn customers. Damn rude when I tried contacting them. Won't respond to my request for a refund!
I have not received the dvds i ordered on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Order # 9596. 1 x Complete Nuclear War Films Collection 21 DVD Set @ $73.49. USPS (United States Postal Service) (*FREE SHIPPING!*): $0.00 Total 73.49. I contacted MediaOutlet [ service@mediaoutlet.com] several times about this and got a few emails that said that i would have to contact the USPS to investigate the matter. I did so and USPS said they couldnt do anything about it and MediaOutlet would have to investigate the matter. The package was alleged to have been shipped from Bayonne New Jersey USA via USPS First Class.
It was a copy
Medie Outlet sent me a very bad copy taken from a very bad quality film, Possibly from an old VHS. I have tried to get in touch with the company many times, but they never answer. I have paid money for the rubbish they sent me, and I advise everybody not to buy aanything from MedieOutlet. som. I think it is illegal to sell film-copies.

I bought a couple of DVD and were not delivered to me.
Order Number: 3668
Date Ordered: Friday 25 November, 2011
The World A Television History 7 DVDs All 26 Episodes () = $39.49
should have arrived mid December. I just received promises that they were delivering.
The last communication from them was on January 12, where they promised to send them again. Never arrived, they don't respond to my emails anymore, no other way to communicate with the company.
Is not about the money, as a community we have to stop the thieves,
I wanted to attach the email communication, but the site don't allow me to do it.
I would appreciate your help.
Best regards.
Adrian
I have jusr received the DVD I ordered from Mediaoutlet.com and paid for. BUT. It is not a real DVD, it is a very bad copy. The film is absolutely useless. I dont think it is legal to sell copies, is it.

Like others above, I have had a horrible experience with service@mediaoutlet.com and the related EarthStation1 site. I believe they may be operating a fraud shop that collects user data and sells it out on the market for various gain, because they do not appear to actually be putting any product in customer hands, especially DVDs.
I ordered a DVD in December, and emailed in early January related to a specific DVD that I was looking for. I was excited for this as I am a historian and would find value in the DVD that only they appeared to have. Unfortunately, when I emailed service@mediaoutlet.com and only many days later got a response from a "Janey", was I about to learn what this hell hole is really all about. I proceeded to get insulted over and over, and told to just read some "FAQs" instead of their customer service merely answering questions about my order. They have been caught in lies over and over again as well, telling me that the order was shipped, and then later that it was cancelled. Well you can't have your cake and eat it too Mr. J. C. Kaelin. Either you shipped the DVD, or cancelled the order. Either way, they have told me conflicting reports on numerous occasions. I always strive to be professional, and even have worked in customer service myself in numerous roles over many years, and I haven't found it in my interest to write negative reviews for many years as well, but this MediaOutlet.com company is so bad, that I need to make an exception and hopefully help someone else out in the future. They even personally insulted me. I said in exasperation to one email they sent, yet again deferring me to the FAQ, "You're killing me smalls", to which they proceeded to BLOCK my email! Blocking a customer's email! Unheard of! Buy from Amazon, eBay, or any other major spot. I then still needed an update, so I went to another email address after being BLOCKED for saying "You're killing me smalls" (really nothing out of the ordinary! some light humor I felt!), they proceeded to respond saying, "Become a better person, for your sake and that of everyone you deal with." Who on earth says that? Well apparently "EarthStation1 MediaOutlet Customer Service" does. Take your business elsewhere.
I ordered 2 movies and have yet to receive them my order 11842. I got a nasty email from EarthStation1 MediaOutlet Customer Service • service@mediaoutlet.com this email address saying they shipped it and it's the mails fault. I reached out again and it says can't be delivered. BEWARE
Totally. They are awful. I recommend reporting them on BBB as well here: https://www.bbb.org/us/nj/bayonne/profile/online-shopping/mediaoutletcom-0221-90054517
As many people as possible that can report this company the better. They appear to be operating fraudulently and should be held to task and should stop taking any other customers money where they then fail to deliver the product! Also, even in the rare cases where they do seem to actually deliver anything it seems to be greatly delayed and often of poor quality. Seriously worth spending some time on and helping others to prevent more harm done by J. C. Kaelin and MediaOutlet.com.
Insane I had the same situation. Janey also is who replied to me and pretty much stated the same…they are definitely scammers
