Inferior repair
I sent my sunglasses for repair to EyewearOrders.com in Brooklyn . They sell sunglasses, as well as perform repairs. I paid $99.00 in advance for the repair (12/8/14). After a lot of chasing, I got the glasses back about 2 months later, and unfortunately, the lenses didn't fit the frame (see photo). There is a gap on each side, making them un-wearable. When I asked for a refund, they refused and tried to convince me that the repair wasn't really that bad. (It would be like getting your car wind shield replaced, with gaps on each side, so that the sun, wind and rain get inside). On top of that, they were rude, to the point of abrasive, and incredibly unhelpful. When I copied and pasted their own website copy about "Service with a Smile", "Quality is their #1 concern", they never even acknowledged it. I further asked that they back up their claims, but no response. After almost 20 back and forth emails, I finally asked if they would provide the full refund. They offered me a discount of $25.00 for new glasses. I have no trust in this company, not to mention, I don't want new glasses. The whole point was to get the glasses that I own repaired so I don't have to buy new ones. Too bad I didn't see the online consumer complaints about this company before I sent my glasses there. I never would have attempted to do business with this thoroughly unreliable and unprofessional company. Horrible service and lies
On March 25 we had the misfortune of calling Eyewearorders.com based on a pair of sunglasses we were interested in. We called to make sure we'd receive them before April 5 if we ordered them within 24 hours. They were a gift for someone that was leaving on the 5th and we wanted to make sure they would be there before then. The person on the other end said "no problem". So, we ordered them on the next day (March 26) and almost immediately received a confirmation email. So far so good. Later the same day, we received a second email stating "We will ship the item within 72 hours with the service that you selected." Cool. About a week later, with no sunglasses being received, we started calling once every few days to get an update. The woman on the other end was RUDE and SHORT during every call. We asked for a tracking number - apparently that was not something we are not entitled to. After a few more calls, she started SCREAMING at us saying we were harassing her and that she would call her lawyer? Wow. Really? All we wanted was an update to our order. An order that should have been here on time. Or a tracking number to show it was on its way. Or a respectful conversation. Here's the kicker, the next day we did actually get a call from the Eyewearorders.com "lawyer" who proceeded to tell my wife that she was going to sue us for harassment. Harassment for? For calling less than once a day. That same day we finally got a tracking number and saw that they actually sent the glasses on April 7 via 1 day delivery … and on the 9th we actually received the glasses.
The woman behind this 1-man shop/site is rude and ignorant. This was by far the worse shopping experience we've ever had. The fact that we have been:
- yelled at
- hung up on
- threatened with a lawsuit by a company "lawyer"
is ridiculous. This woman should not be in business and my guess is, based on other comments I now see online confirming we're not the only ones, they will not be in business long.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE.
This is a Scam and this is how it works in 5 easy steps.
1 You see glasses online and order and pay. They will immediately put a Purchase Authorization on your card which can last from 5 to 14 Days.
2 NOW starts the scam. There is a problem with the order, either not accepting your card due to their “Risk Management Department” advice, then they will ask you to send cash by direct transfer giro post etc. If you do this you have no comeback like a Credit Card Company would give. You are basically screwed and locked into buying from them, OR, If you argue the point they may agree to proceed with the purchase using your credit card.
3 NOW they have a problem with the glasses and cannot ship them to you due to “inspection prior to shipping found a crack in the frame etc“. Select another pair they suggest. Probably they never had the pair you wanted in the first place and the ones you are offered are at a full retail price.
4. As they already have your money/credit card most people will select another pair you may not real want. THIS IS THE TRICK!
5. OK now you must decide to cancel or accept another pair.
6. Try calling the customer help line. WELL! If you want to be hung up on, abused, rudeness and threatened then call this customer help line. Never in my life have I ever come across a person like this and still be in business.
My gut feeling is this company is a one man band, a woman, whose attitude to customers is appalling and whose business ethics are very questionable.

I have never received my order from EyewearOrders.com, asked for refund several times but each time received a rude turn around from their customer support. They even allowed themselves to yell at me, I’m a customer for god sake it is not a way to treat me. I don’t reccomend them to anyone.
