Lack of local services
I cannot get a dental appointment with or thgru florida kid care because tjhe qualified dental service practices are (4) four months out taking appointments. This is ridiculous.Only if mty daughter has a dental emergency will they schedule and that is a month out. REALLY! I was told if it is life thretening to go to the local hospital. This is totally unacceptable.
Read full review of Florida Kid CareRaised My premium
My complaint is that, healthy kids raised my premium from $20 a month to $318 a month based on my household income. My husband hasnt had a raise in 2 years, and all I got was a 0.50 cent raise from last year to this year. So because of 0.50 cents of a pay increase, my kids now wont have health insurance. I cant afford $318 a month. To get insurance through my job it would be about $800 a month, and that's almost what I make. Does anyone know where I can file a complaint? I've tried calling them, and they dont care. All they see are numbers.. They said, oh well, you are above the household income and there's nothing we can do. I bet if I was some illegal person in this state or a mother that claimed to be single, then I would qualify. Or maybe, I'm just the wrong color. But its not right that now my kids cant get health insurance. If anyone knows where I can file a complaint or appeal this decision, I would appreciate it. My email address is: [protected]@cfl.rr.com

What is your monthly income and how many people in your household? they may have make a mistake reading your paystubs, there is a chart that will tell you exactly were you should be.
Fax in your complaint to Florida Kidcare to the Research and Correspondence department. Make sure that it says Attn: Disputes. They should be able to determine what happened on the account. Trust me, many things can happen. For proof of income: if you get paid twice per month or every two weeks only send in your last two stubs. They need to be able to see the start and end date of the pay period AND the GROSS amount of earned income, they do not look at the net. The stubs must also show what taxes were taken out of your check. Do not send in copies of your pay check. Make sure that it is the stub. This is very important. FYI- unfortunately, FHKC has to go by the regulations that they State and DCF make up. There is a Federal Poverty Level chart that the company MUST adhere to. The database also adheres to this chart when calculating the premium. I apologize for the trouble and stress this has caused your family.
