Publishing services
I paid Green Ivy Publishing, among many others authors, money to publish and market my book. They published but have since not paid my royalties, do not provide sales reports of any kind, do not respond to calls or emails. Apparently, they do this to many authors. I have been in contact with at least 50 authors who have not received any royalties or reports and who have also been ignored or threatened by an employee of Green Ivy Publishing.
They didn't publish my book and didn't even try
The company Green Ivy Publishing offered me to publish and sell my book. I have wired $8, 500 for the job and advertisements, but since that I didn’t get any email or response about the book. I called them and said to provide any news about the book or I would cancel our deal. They said to put dispute with my credit card company. I am very disappointed in such attitude and that they were such irresponsible. Stay as far as possible from these people.
the1st book. got publish my husband . then dumb us sent next book in and 2900.dollars. they were always working on it. now we don't hear anything. any ideas how to get money back and book?
They have ripped me off too. They tell you what you want to hear, then steal from you. They say they have all these online stores which went I requested it there were only a few no where near what they say. They posted I sold 50 books within the first few months and when they payed me they said I sold 39 I am glad I took a picture of it because they closed it out of their Facebook page. They do not respond to any calls or emails
Sorry, but you're in for a rude awakening with Green Ivy. They do print/publish your book, but that's it! You will never get a sales report or any royalties they keep it all and break off communications with you at this point. Here's a copy of the last email I sent to them:
I see there's still no sales reports or royalties, so you better prepare yourselves for a Class Action Lawsuit, because it's coming. You might think it's funny to screw people over like you have, but none of your authors do! What you've do here is not only disgusting, unethical, and immoral, but it's also criminal, and we're not going to let you get away with it! So you will soon be exposed for exactly what you are, which is nothing more than a bunch of creeps...

Once Green Ivy gets your money, it is like pulling teeth to get them to do anything for you--or even to return a call or an email. When it was time for me to pay to begin the editing process, I told them, "I am not paying until you give me a time when you will begin the editing process and an approximate time when it would be completed." At first they said that it was not possible to do that (You know, their writers are artists, and you never can know when they will start or finish something). When I refused to hand over any more $, they finally told me the editing would begin next week. I replied, "That's great. Now if you can just confirm that to me in an email." They refused, again siting that they really didn't know when the editing would start. Editors are artists, you know . . . . When I STILL wouldn't pay them any more $ they finally confirmed the editing start time in an email. But by then I knew they were liars, cut my losses, and went to another company.

Green Ivy did publish my book. I was very pleased with the result. I guess I even advertised for them and did not even know I was doing it. When I had book signings and sold a small number of books, I would pass out business cards that I paid to have made. I was telling each person who took one to order through Amazon, Green Ivy or Barns and Nobel. All the money derived from the sale of my book, Re:Born Standing on the Promises went directly to Green Ivy. None came to me! Not one dime. It has been one year this month. I have never had a statement. I call and I email and I never hear one word. The very sad thing is that all proceeds from my book were to go to help a double amputee. I should have given her all the money I spent. She certainly could use the money more than Green Ivy. Green Ivy gave me a contract saying they would not take any of the royalty until what I put into the book was recovered. Why? I am so sorry that so many of you good first time authors have been taken like me. WE did our best to put forth a good read. I so wanted to do something to help a really good person who is trying to survive all alone and be independent in her later years of life. My dream is a nightmare!
Jay Caliendo of Green Ivy Publishing took my money and now I can't get in touch with him. I paid 3500.00 dollars to this company and shortly after, I couldn't get in touch with anyone. I am heartbroken that some one like Jay could out right lie and steal. I would like a complete refund for breech of contract.
