Kramer Micro Repair Preditory Practices

The exchange unit he sends that he claims is repaired is not. It has the exact same problem as the unit I sent him. He then states he will not refund my deposit since he is unable to fully repair my unit. So the point is, he is refusing to refund my deposit. This business is the height of false advertising predatory practices and someone needs to hold him accountable. You will fins many reports against this company on this and many other websites. Steer clear of Kramer, you will otherwise regret the experience greatly! If you look closely at the attached photo, you will see the missing pixels on the "repaired" screen.

Kramer Micro Repair Theft

Said he never got my SID but low and behold, he cashes the money order which incidently was mailed in the same package hmmm. For someone who owns a business he was rather aloof when I contacted him regarding the missing part. I should have known because a reputable business would have wanted to make things right. He just talked in circles, lies and more lies. I would recommend that if you are in need of an SID repair that you do not use this person. He was banned from ebay using the name kramermicrorepair and now he is back on there with a new name sidsbykramer. There are reputabale repair people out there but this creep isn't one of them. He has it all figured out though becasue he doesn't let you pay through paypal and he tells you that if he has to sign for the package this will delay your repair. Smooth. Do not be fooled by the website like I was and the lies about good service and how long he has been in business. The worst part is this guy is advertising on SAABNET. What a disgrace to the Saabers out there. This guys is ###.

I sent a Saab readout to be repaired. He told me that mine was not repairable and it would take another $150.00 to fix it. I sent the money to him, he claimed he never got the money. I sent him the PayPal information, he then agreed that he received it. Then it took three weeks to get my SID back and it was the exact same one with multiple "pixels" still out. He will not respond.

Paid for their exchange service which involves a $35 core charge. Sent back the core well over a month ago. Never got the refund, got no communication. I wish I had checked with this board in advance. I feel luckier than other posters as I at least got a working unit. Stay well away from this company.

agree just google search and look at the car forums... remember you need to leave feedback on ebay within 30 days and your device will work for a few weeks after you get it then it fails good luck

Ethan Carl Kramer, You are absolutely the most disingenuous person I have ever met. You have played this scam out against others just exactly the same way. How it is possible for you to still be in business is beyond me.

Other note: we do accept paypal for our auctions on ebay and will certianly sign for packages it's just that our carrier often delivers during lunch so we caution that a signature requirement may cause a delay. Please see our website for more information. Www.kramermcrorepair.com

We have not recieved any proof that we cashed a money and have no record of the sid arriving in this case. We are happy to work with the customer but unfortunately she cut off communication. We understand she is upset, but cannot be responsible for SIDS lost in shipment to us. Should the customer wish to reopen communication we are happy to offer her a discount on a replacement but unfortunately cannot pay for a sid we never received.

Kramer Micro Repair Bad service

I am sorry he is trying to scam money out of you as well. I found this post when looking for ways to defend myself against Ethan Carl Kramer's business fraud. Please let me know if you were able to get any acceptable remedy out of him.

I bought the exhange service, sent my SID in, got one back that had 5 lines go out in 3 days after recieving it. He said it is normal for that to happen. He then said that the unit I sent in was previously attempted to get fixed and it rendered it a useless unit, which really meant the new unit in my car was costing me $275. When I confronted him about he gave a bunch of nonsense and treated me like a complete ###. I had him send my original unit back and cancel the whole deal, almost out of it I thought. No, turns out Ethan doesn't even know which unit I sent to him originally and returned a completely wrong unit to me.

Which got me thinking, if he doesn't even know what unit is mine, how can he possibly know that mine was useless? Reads SCAM and FRAUD clear as day. I am at the point of processing legal action against Ethan and would love to be able to shut this guy down with you.

This guy ethan from kramermicrorepair.com is a total hack. He ripped me off just like everyone else. Claiming a unit couldn't be repaired just to sell you a $200 unit that was not even close to new. Several pixels were out and now my time is going. He claims on his website that if you have at least 2 digits for the time working then it's not broken! This is just crazy if anyone wants to file suite against this guy count me in.

I've had the same problem. The unit was "fixed" and returned to me in good condition, only to go out again almost completely over the next few months.

Who are the reputable folks who can do this work?

I have little doubts that this guy is on violation of every aspect of "Truth in Advertising" and consumer protection. I would be very happy to join with anyone willing in a CLass Action lawsuit against him for predatory business practices. I was scammed just exactly the same way the other here have mentioned. I am a businessman and this guy does not deserve to be in business. Please reply here if you want to further this conversation.

wow...almost the same thing just happened to me. I sent him the unit to repair...it came back mostly working (one line of lights out). 3 weeks later the whole unit was back to where it was when I sent it to him for repair. he even got me to pay an additional $20 for "leds."
