I received an invoice from Legacy Billing Service for $10.95 for a call I never received. I immediately called - not only the call was never received (I wasn`t even home in that date), but I received a bill due on december 20th on January 13.
I was told that some unknown person may have placed a collect call to my home. Legacy was never able to tell me who placed the call or who received the call they dont have any taping of the call or anything like that. No one was home at the time Legacy said the call was placed.

Totally Excessive Charges
A friend left Los Angeles for New Orleans and was not picked up at the airport. He made 3 calls collect to my home in California so that we could contact his ride. Our phone service is a flat rate for all of the US. The first call set the stage: he told us what happend and hadn't, how his coins were quickly eaten in the payphone at the airport and would we call to these numbers for help for him. We couldn't call the payphone so he HAD to call us back twice to check on our progress. Yes the calls were a bit long, 13, 6 and 8 min.
Legacy Billing Services wants us to pay them $38.71 for these three calls! Do the terms "blood sucking" and parasite come to mind? How can they morally justify this? This is not the value recieved nor can I see how to justify it. Because he didn't have his own cell phone he has cost us the money.
How sad.

I contacted this company from a pay phone at my local library.I placed a two minute call to my home. The next day, I saw that this
company had charged me over $19.00 for a short local call.
I also utilized this company that was listed on the pay phone in the public library.I made a local call to my home, and it was less
than two minutes duration. The next day I saw that Legacy had charged my Visa card $19.00 and change, for one local call!
same problem here... this place charged me $49 dollars for collect calls we never authorized... They have done this to me in the past... this is about 5th time doing this to me... I got credited but this company needs to be shut down...
