Thanks Hellopeter for their service. After my first complaint about my disability claim I'm still wating for Liberty to finalize my claim. A Complaints Resolution Specialist is helping me now but still no pay out from them. According to Specialist the accounting must still calculate the amount payable to me. After the claim is taking longer than a month...

Read full review of Liberty LifeInvading clients privacy
I have a seriouse concern about how my privacy was invaded by an employee from Liberty Life a lady by the name of Caroline Shabalala had told my ex boyfriend whom she's now dating everything about my finances. Appearently as an employee of Liberty Life she has access to any person's personal profile this is a huge concern because i have discovered she does this very often for her personal reasons and spite peopleclients the way she did to me telling people I earn peanuts. I would like to find out if something could be done to prevent such an act because this can harmdamage a relationship of Liberty Life and their clients if such practices are performed, there should be restrictions and protocols that one should follow as an employee of Liberty Life.
Liberty Life's inefficiency and false promises
I have had a Liberty Life Medical Lifestyle policy for 9 years now for which I have been paying approx R700 per month. At the beginning of this year I phoned Liberty Life to inform them i was going to cancel my policy and was told by the operator that I would then be paid out about R20, 000. I then phoned back three days later to confirm that I was cancelling and was told by another operator that I was not due one cent as there was no cash value to this contract. I was very annoyed but decided to continue the policy as I did not want to forfeit all the benefits. This month I decided to join Discovery and called Liberty Life and told them I was ending their policy. I did not expect to receive anything back but was assured three times by the call centre operator that I was going to receive R21, 000 back and I must just send the relevant forms. I did as he said and sent the forms back only to receive an e-mail back from a G Chetty to say that there is no cash value. What is wrong with this company? Are they trying to crook me or do their call centre operators not know what they are talking about? Can anyone shed some light on whether I am due money back? This has happened twice!
I feel you! i have a similar problem. My father had a policy liberty life via FNB BANK, from 2003 and in 2014 i went to check if everything was still order, i found out that my fathers policy was still active now that my dad is deceased i went to claim, Only to find out that the policy lapsed in 2008, when i asked for the reason i was told that there were no payments received of which i found very annoying because my dad never changed his banking details nor the payment date. now they want me to get bank statements for all these years, how am i suppose to get bank statement on somebody's account like really. i am very disappointed with Liberty and wouldn't advise anybody to take liberty policy because at the end they will tell you, your policy lapsed in in certain year without notifying you.somebody is not doing a proper job at liberty.i wonder how people have the similar problem as my one.
Unprofessional service and lies
Problem 1: i took a Life policy with Claudius Motlhasedi and because he did not have the knowledge regarding payments, i was debited early and my account is messed up as a result.
Problem 2: When he sold us the policy he promised that he will set up an appointment with a consultant to do our will for free. when the policy was set, he turned around and told us that we need to pay for the will, he lied to us and its one of the main reasons why we took the policy.
I have no confidence in liberty Life, your service is so unprofessional, i dont know how long i have been trying to get hold of Claudius and he is not available. Can somebody assist me with this policy and provide us with a new Financial Advisor.
i submitted a claim a month ago to surrender my investment policy, am still waiting for the pay out a month later. noone is giving me reasons why i still havent received my money. instead the keep tossing me around like am some piece of trash. iam very upset and frustrated by their treatment.
I am just as upset with Liberty's service, or lack thereof. I email my "broker" with instructions to cancel my policy and he just doesn't respond. I email the customer service department who just respond that my email address is unrecognized and they can't process my request. I call in, answer all their questions to verify my identity and still, they are unable to process my request. I have been corresponding with Liberty Life for close on 6years with that email address! Why now is it suddenly not good enough.
