Miller Cleaning Does not pay her employees

I used to work for Miller Cleaning in 2004. I found out I was pregnant and could no longer work with all those chemicals. Renee would not give me my check. She kept telling me she would have to talk to her accountant. Several people, like over 10 people have told me she's done this to them. It is well known and all over Lincoln that she does not pay her employees, especially if you quit. How the hell is she still in business. So with the recession, at my job now in 2009, we will no longer have a job. I was applying on craigslist for jobs and guess who calls me back about a cleaning job? Renee Miller. She wanted me to start that day just as I did in 2004. I told her I couldn't but I might be able to start the next day. I just wanted to go there and punch her in her face, but instead I didn't go. She kept calling me all night to start the next day and even called me the next day. I just shot her a email telling her I will put that behind me, but she will have to give me my $400 from 2004. I haven't heard nothing back and didn't expect to. She's a piece of ###. Really.

Miller Cleaning payment

My husband worked for her for two weeks while trying to find a full time job. It has been 1 1/2 months and she still hasn't paid him. A first she answered the phone and said "let me check on it" or "I am away from the office, I will call you when I get back to the office" but NOTHING! I have since found a dozen complaints about service and I am wishing he had never worked there.

She has a new cleaning business called Let's Talk Dirt. She had my parents pay early and promised them a refund if health issues changed. They had to move due to being elderly and health issues. She owes them a large sum of money! Renee Miller is a big talker and a thief! Do not use her services!

I've worked for her for years. I take pride in my work, and always get paid.. I may not always get paid on time, but I get every cent of my money. Not to mention Renee has tried to help me in every way she can. You guys make her out to be some witch.. But if you are kind to her, she will be kind to you. Yes she can be very irritating sometimes, but anyone can. My only complaint is that she won't give me a raise.. Although, I'm not a whiney ### about it. Maybe Renee is some kind of scam artist, but her workers are hardworking individuals, it isn't fair to label to entire company based on the owners some what selfish actions. Every client I work with is more than happy with Renee, my partner and I. I just find it hilarious so many people act like their going to lock Renee away for good.. It's 2013 and she's still here... Why? Because she's not as bad as you all make her out to be.

My daughter worked for her in August and she owes her 900 dollars, she as stated above makes excuses for not paying her employees, and then tells customers lies when they ask what happend to so and so who used to clean my house. THIS WOMAN HANGS UP ON YOU when you call her and how childish is that! a heads up should be when she does not even have you fill out a w2 form. WE ARE TAKING HER TO COURT ON SEPT.3oth so if you would like to be there, the more the better please email me at njwiss@yahoo.com and put Miller cleaning in the subject. ALSO if you know any of the people that you cleaned their house PLEASE contact them and let them know she does not pay here employees, my daughter did this with some of her clients and they were shocked! THE PUBLIC NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT HER!

i worked for miller cleaning for 2 days and found this website. i decided not to work for her any longer if she was not going to pay me. she only owes me for 15.5 hours and she has not paid me. i contacted the department of labor and found out that she has several complaints with them too. i've called her numerous times to try and find out when she will send me my check. she told me i was not one of her top priorities and hung up. every time i call now she either doesn't answer or hangs up on me. i think my next step will be either small claims court or contacting the local news to see if they want to do a story on her and why she treats her employees and customers the way she does.
email me at jukay71@hotmail.com if you would like to fight this woman and get your compensation for either work you have done for her or if you are a customer and she owes you money. renee(hill) miller should have been out of business a long time ago.

I have had the same problem with her I worked for her company during Jan.-March and I only got half a pay check. Each time she brought up another excuse about why she didnt have my pay check whenever it was due. I even worked over time for her each time she made us work later than expected basically everyday.I couldnt believe that I was stupid enough to believe her lies and excuses each time. She was threatning me to work days I was not suppose to work by coming to my place while I was not home and cussed at my roomates when they refused to open the door for her while she was banging on it for about 15 mins. She will you the excuse about some girl who just gave birth stole money from her and stole some business and then she will use the other excuse about some employees stole money from her customers. I been having a difficult time getting my money from her. She owes me alot and I been trying to get it since I quit working for her the second week of March and she still owes me for Part of Jan - Feb and the beginning of March. So if anyone knows a way of helping me out or who I need to talk to will you please help!

My wife & I were just ripped of by this witch! She wanted us to clean this gigantic location for $7. I told her on my first night there that "considering everything she wanted done & the size of the building...it wasn't worth my time.

She conned us into to "trying it for one night". We did. When we were done, I told her no & gave her the keys back.
She was SO desperate for us to take this account, that she told us to sleep on it one night & call her the next morning. ( I knew taking this acct was a bad idea & I could see she was desperate...THIS also was a red flag)

I called her the next day & told her no thanks, & "when will we get paid for the three hours we did work"? She said to fax the time sheet to her. I did. That was May the 15th...tonight is June 25th!

I called her three times yesterday & we both got in a shouting match. I cussed her out & hung up on her (I could tell she was getting ready to hang up on me so I beat her to it!).

She said "she wasn't going to pay me"! NO REASON was givin to me. I told her we will report her...she said go ahead!

FOLKS, THIS WITCH NEEDS TO BE ARRESTED! LET'S STOP HER ...NOW!

This is how she makes her money folks! Here's one thing we CAN do...call the building management of the location where she wanted you to clean at & report to them that she has the contract on cleaning their business & she is NOT paying her employees.

THIS COULD cause her to lose a LOT of contracts & money!

I am trying to collect my wages from her, too. I worked for her for a couple of weeks and she has yet to pay me. This was a couple of months ago. I called her 2 days ago, for the umpteenth time, and asked her when I exactly get paid, and she hung up on me! What did you do to get your money? Or did you ever get it? People like her make me sick.

I'm sorry to hear she's treating employees as badly as shes treating her customers...or should I say "ex-customers"! I've been trying to reclaim the money she owes me from prepaid services and property damages for 10 months now. She's failed to appear in court twice. Will have a warrant out for her arrest soon. From what I've read she must owe thousands or tens of thousands of dollars to consumers...and employees. I know her accountant so if there's anything I can do to put you in touch with him re: payroll let me know. Also, perhaps call down to Workforce Development. There's got to be something your husband can file against her although I'm not sure. If you know anything that may help me and others out there who have been ripped off by her let me know. Hopefully if we all band together we can stop her and perhaps get our money back!

Miller Cleaning Rip off

I hired Miller Cleaning Inc. of Lincoln, NE to clean my home and paid in advance for 1 year to get a lower per visit rate ($1880-not cheap!). They duplicated charged me and won't refund the mistake (yes, that's over $3400 in charges that they are making interest on while it sits in their bank account and I pay interest on)! Their cleaning was poor, and they ruined a faucet. I cancelled the service after 3 months, hired an attorney and they still won't refund the duplicate charge plus the pro-rated amount for remainder of contract. I had to hire an attny., file complaint with BBB, file with my CC company to try to get the money back for me and more. I will post as many more complaints until I get my money back!

Signed a year long contract and in return: Missed our house all together a couple of times, missed cleaning entire floors, I would come home and have to clean a floor they missed, take out trash, e.t.c They left trash on my floor, sat in my living room and did nothing when they thought I wasn't home, used spot cleaner on my laminate and wood floors with a sponge mop and then used the sponge mop on the front of my refrigerator, dumped a dust pan full of dog hair in my closet. Do you need more examples (I have some)? Renea Miller didn't hold up her end of the contract and is expecting us to. She has insinuated that I am a liar and just picky even though she has not been at my house to observe the work or finished product. This means she intends to keep over $1, 300.00 in services not provided. I even talked to a former employee who said she isn't paying her employees. It's amazing this woman isn't in prison, mush less out of business.

Beware of this outfit. Their service has increasingly gotten worse. There were numerous times where we had to have the crew come back in because they did not clean one of the rooms, didn't vacuum, didn't clean the hardwood floors, bathrooms, etc. (all of which is specifically outlined in the contract). We also had multiple occasions of the crew still being in our house after 5:00 P.M. My wife and I would come home from work and the cleaning crew would still be there. They had a 9 hour window (8:00 - 5:00) to get it done and were still around 'after hours'. We complained numerous times to the owner and it still went on. Finally, once we told the crew that they had to leave and reschedule it stopped. Their workers broke our bath tub drain and the owner initially agreed to reimburse us for the damages. She recommended her plumber, we used that plumber, and once services were rendered she said that she wouldn't pay for the tub. Completely irresponsible behavior on her part. We're also yet to be reimbursed for a broken collectible caused by one of their workers (a vase was also broken by one of their workers - but 'accidents happen' according to the owner). We told her in January that we no longer wished to use her service and wanted to be reimbursed for the unused sessions (we prepaid - huge mistake on our part) and we are yet to see any type of reimbursement numbers. If you're in the market for a cleaning service, this is definitely not the company to use!

I worked for Renee Hill of Miller Cleaning last winter. Sure enough, when she refused to pay me and the other woman I was working with - cleaning a Church in north town - we quit. Which I think was the natural thing to do. We work to get paid, not to get pushed around and talked down to when we keep calling and never get answers. Call her too much and ask too many questions and she hangs up, or just plain stops answering her phone. I'm not one to sit down and watch this witch run off with my lost wages either, so my lawsuit has begun and Renee should be getting a visit by the Lincoln Police here pretty soon with a court summons. Of course, she probably owes half the city money - I'll try anyway. She has to be stopped. Renee Hill is the lowest form of human I've EVER dealt with. Subhuman, not real, no emotion, everything is everybody elses fault - she has no sense of pride or morals and slides by on other peoples hard work, walking on our backs. Email me at Sadclown456@netscape.net if you've been screwed over by this old, wrinkly, drug addled witch as well, and we can get together. Maybe you can jump in on my suit, which is in full swing. Karma is a ### Renee.

I worked for her for a couple of weeks about 2 and a half months ago. She has yet to pay me! She's had every excuse in the book. Yesterday I called her and told her I needed to know exactly when I would get paid, and she hung up on me! Turns out she's been taken to small claims court by several other employees for the same thing. I worked hard! I quit because 1) I smelled a rat, and 2) I hurt my back. I guess she's mad I quit, so this is how she's "punishing" me. How has she been allowed to stay in business? This is so maddening!

I feel your pain! Renee Miller owes me over $2900 for unused services and damages to my home. Many others have complained about her and her services and horrible business practices. She has "failed to appear" twice now in my court cases against her. You can read my BBB complaint and her responses at http://nebraska.app.bbb.org/complaint/view/300038715/c/jpe4tm Now she's trying to post nasty, made up stories about my landscaping company to get back at me for being honest about her company online and letting others know. I'm not worried about what she's saying because I know it's not true and anyone with half a brain will be able to figure that out. Have you taken any legal action to reclaim any of your losses?

Renee Miller is proving to be a complete fraud and cheat. She has had over 8 months and many opportunities to resolve the problems in my first post above from Sept '08 and has done nothing. I had to resolve to small claims court to try to recover my $2700 plus in losses and she was a "no-show". Apparently she doesn't care how her company looks to the public and has absolutely no regard for her customers. Her work is supposed to be "guaranteed" yet she refuses to resolve any issues. Rumor has it (can't say where I heard it) that she's been having some financial problems and I know she had some personal problems in the past year or so. What I don't get is if she can't pay me back and can't afford to pay others back as well as other professionals she deals with, why is she continuing to spend endless amounts of money on advertising? Every publication I pick up has some full color ad for her company in it and all I see is someone trying to hide money and avoid having to pay back those she's ripped off! If anyone out there has had trouble with this woman or her company please contact me and perhaps together we can reclaim our losses and she can pay for her horrible service.

Me too! Used harsh Oily spot cleaner on my laminate and wood floors with a sponge mop and then used the sponge mop on the front of my refrigerator. Dumped a dust pan full of dog hair in my closet, missed my house entirely a couple of times, left trash on the floor, forgot to clean entire levels or floors. Hung out in my living room and did nothing when they thought I wasn't home. She didn't hold up her end of the contract and is expecting us to. This means she is not returning over $1, 300.00 in services not provided. Insane that this woman is not in prison much less out of business for her practices.
