Peerless Optical Beware! Low Quality & Poor Customer Service

I was a long time customer and referred many friends and relatives to them. The quality used to be great. I ordered a new pair of glasses in September and the top of the lenses had a defect. The owner refused to remake the lenses because he says they don't make enough money on them. I was promised a refund, but when I came in for it, an optician named Dawit Debela screamed at me and refused to give it to me. Since Peerless no longer advertises locally and obviously doesn't care about customer satisfaction, they seem to be on their way out of business. Beware!‎

Poorly made glasses, crooked, bad service Refused refund or remake of my glasses which were made wrong, crooked lens and bifocal errors, Refused me any more service, said buy another pair!
Bad optician and sales, bad attitude, don't buy here!

Peerless Optical Disappointed

They SUCK! I ordered a pair of glasses online and about an hour later was called by a person who told me that they no longer had them in stock. She said I could come down to the store and try on other frames that might work for me. I did that and was unable to find what I was looking for, that’s when the problem began. I told the woman that I wanted to cancel my order and asked that she not charge my card. She told me that it would be easier if I called my bank to do that, which I told her was not the preferred way to do it and that she (the merchant) needed to not submit the transaction. I could tell she was getting agitated and just didn’t want to deal with me anymore. When I got home I called my bank and they also informed me that it was the merchant’s option to not submit the transaction so it would not “post” to my account. The bank said I would need to dispute the charge if it posted. Well guess what….it posted! Peerless Optical did absolutely nothing to prevent this from posting after cancelling the order. Our customer/merchant relationship ended when I cancelled my order. I even sent them an e-mail to confirm the cancellation, but never received a response. Now I am going through the dispute process, paperwork and hassle of disputing this transaction. Peerless Optical lived up to their poor customer service rating even though I was willing to give them a chance. The Tarzana store lady is rude, no question about it.

unfortunately my friend the company is run by people who learn as they go.no one knows how to handle problems, the owner is there for about an hour then all hell breaks loose when he leaves. he fires people for fun therefore the new people are put in uncomfortable situations.the positive reviews you will find on the company are the reviews placed by employees. just avoid the company and save yourselves money and headaches, they might advertise lowest prices but when they can't seem to get the glasses right the first time you waste time and money going back and forth to them...

Peerless Optical Piece of crap

I did receive my glasses in a fast time. The script seemed correct. However there is a half moon blemish dead center on one of the lens that makes them like looking through dirt all the time. If lucky getting them polished will fix(money I shouldn't have to spend. Tried to contact 3 times by email and ignored. Wish I had seen these reviews before ordering instead of looking at THEIR reviews which I'm sure are fake. Oh, and the included frames. Never seen a cheaper, thin metal pair in my life. Piece of #@%* and the company is a piece of @#%*.

we have made tens of thousands of jobs for our fellows Americans, we tried very hard to do the best job for them and we will continue to do it, i am very sorry that two o three persons are not happy .

Why don't you actually go in to the store and complain? You can't email your glasses over to be fixed, after all.

Peerless Optical Simply terrible

I received my one pair of glasses after a month. Per the policy on their order confirmation "In the event we don't meet our delivery commitment we will refund $10 for Single Vision, $15 for Bifocal and $20 for Progressive Eyeglasses." I called to get my refund after my emails were not responded to. I was told by "Francois" there was no such policy. I offered to forward back out the email and I was told a check would be cut in the next 2 weeks. Stupid me orders another pair of glasses. Same thing-they took a month to get delivered so I called to inquire about the $40 I was now owed. I was told by the company "President". Francois, who somehow answers the 800 customer service number, that I was trying to be difficult and that I had nothing better to do than order glasses I didn't need so I could collect back the $20. He said he would make me new glasses with an upgraded lens but would not give me back the refund. I said I was not intersted in an upgraded lens, these glasses were merely to get me from by bed to my new born daughter's crib late at night and did not neeed to be nice. He told me I was just like his ex-wife-"###" because I was tired. He told me to go ahead and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau-he didn't really care. Well okay, if you say so. I hope everyone finds a different vendor to go to for their needs.
