32 gig usb memory stick
Caveat Emptor
The worse possible investment you can make is buying from this company.
To anyone thinking of expanding their computer systems, using PNY products, I highly recommend DO NOT.
In April 2016, I purchased for a PNY 32G USB Stick to use as an External Network Memory. In all fairness, it worked well until it reached 1/2 full
Upon reaching 50% full, a write lock error prevented erasure of what was already there, and adding any more.
PNY Has a fix for this on their support site for their 16 Gig Version of this product, however for the 32 Gig, there is nothing. Pardon being cynical, but how is it a known issue, is not addressed on later members of the product family?
They will replace it if less then a year old, which it was, but needs a receipt. I suppose this makes sense to the corporate world, but I cannot be the only person with this problem, and no receipt.
I followed with a voice call, and connected with Don. He insisted the USB Stick had to be returned.
REMINDING, the drive cannot be erased, but can be read, or at least a few folders can, AND contains personal information, they did not seem to get my concern, nor understand when I told them sending it back with personal info on it is not happening. (Hello, McFly...)
I asked him the following question.
"Imagine your mom has private info on a PNY USB Drive that cannot be deleted. You know you cannot format, nor erase, yet in order to get it replaced, it had to be returned, What Would You Advise her to do"?
Pretend moment on hold to talk to managers, and back with I could drill a hole in it and send it back.
(Drill a hole in my hand maybe... This thing is quite small and could easily slip while drilling. Technical Support advising DRILLING HOLES in devices )
I said send a prepaid return label with the replacement, it is under warranty and PNY acknowledges THERE IS NO FIX...
I can see some customer with a drill hurting themselves badly because they have less sense then PNY Support Recommendations.
My recommendation is Stay Far Away From PNY... Maybe this is a fluke problem, but again it is the second generation where the first had a fix.
Their Customer Service is appalling and their solutions could potentially endanger your safety, by you accidentally running a drill bit through your hand... STAY AWAY from PNY. There are other sources.

This is the thread from my email.
There is no fix for this drive we can replace it has long that less than a year old and you have copy of receipt.

What I wanted was a replacement. I can see clearly now that it is not worth doing business with this company. The risk of product failure or injury is too high
Rebate Scamming
Submitted my rebate to the company and two months later I have never received anything. Looked online at the status and found that it was listed as "invalid" due to an invalid purchase date. Hm... Rebate says valid the whole month of May and June, and my purchase date is June 8th, 2014. Doesn't seem invalid to me!
I called and spoke with a rep that I could BARELY hear. Throughout the call I had to ask him to repeat himself about 25 times. Looks like they use some great technology there... After clearing up the purchase date issue (rep confirmed it was valid), he said I should be getting a $20 rebate in the mail. I informed him that the rebate is for $20 on EACH item and I purchased two. If math is done correctly, $20 x 2 = $40 rebate. He said I only submitted one rebate form - well of course I did because the rebate form says to attach ALL UPC's - up to 3 - to the rebate form! The rep went on to say his rebate form that he has states $10 rebates up to $30. I told him that my rebate form specifically says $20 rebates up to $60. After giving him the offer code, he still can't find the right rebate form. So... you don't even have a scan of the form I submitted? GENIUS!
Way to completely fail at processing rebates folks... Now I have to waste even more time faxing in my copy of the rebate form so these clueless people can get it right. Thanks...

PNY Technologies offer many rebates on their memory cards. I sent in for two separate rebates advertised on the same purchased item. They claimed the rebate I sent in for was invalid for one ($10) and not the other ($30). If you want your rebate redeemed, DO NOT trust PNY.

Shoddy products, Doesn't honor warranty, HORRIBLE customer service
I purchased 8 PNY Memory kits to add memory to 8 desktop computers. One of the chips turned out to be defective. I contacted PNY for a replacement under their lifetime warranty. I sent them the defective part, at MY expense, and it was returned to me without them honoring the warranty. They now expect me to ship it back to them, again at my expense, with the other working chip, which I do not have access to. Rather than replace THEIR defective chip with a working one, this pathetic company chooses to play games and further piss off their customer.

PNY's customer service is useless. I've never seen a company with this level of incompetence.
I recently purchased a PNY Quadro P400 video card and the installation procedure froze my system. I contacted customer support about the problem and after a week and half I have received one response that I was being sent up the level 2 tech...###.
I threw their piece of crap video card in the trash and I'm out $135 which I see as the price to learn to never buy anything from the ### again.
PNY Technologies graphic cards will damage your computer! It damaged mine. Filed complain with BBB but they already know how shady this company is. PNY had score "F" with Better Business Bureau. See below:
BBB Rating
Based on BBB files, this business has a BBB Rating of F on a scale from A+ to F.
Reasons for this rating include:
* 125 complaints filed against business
* Failure to respond to 18 complaints filed against business.
* 4 complaints filed against business that were not resolved.
* Length of time business has taken to resolve complaint(s).
* BBB does not have sufficient background information on this business.
Consider yourself worned!
I purchased a video card from PNY 9 months ago, and the fan stopped working and has since overheated. i sent it back to them at my expense. it has been over a week since UPS has updated that its been signed for, but their website still reflects them having not received it. i am getting nowhere out of telephone and email support. their website doesn't list a technical support phone number either. i wouldn't buy another product from this company again.
Rebate scam
I purchased a memory card from Fry's Electronics in Santa Clara, CA in August 2009. Of course I sent in the completed rebate form, receipt, and UPC. I've mailed in dozens of rebates before, I know how to do this. They sent me back a postcard saying "Unfortunately we could not honor your receipt due to the following reason(s): $15 PNY Mail in Rebate -...

I sumbitted my rebate for $15 to the PNYRebate Center immediately after purchasing the SD Card from Bestbuy and there is no way they can reject with the Mailed Date as the Reason. But, surprisingly it has been noted as Missing UPC and Receipt after a months time while I was checking the Status through the Tracking Number. I am wondering how this has happened. How will I send a mail for Rebate submission without any papers in it? I was 100% sure that I have sent my BestBuy Receipt, UPC Code and the Rebate Form and double-checked lot of times before I mailed the Rebate. It cannot go missing unless somebody tampered the mail OR the PNY is doing fraud. Please beware of the PNY Rebate, since this has been happening for me more than 2 times. I certainly won't buy any product from PNY in future and so do you all.
