Warranty Fraud
I purchased a Toro mower 5 months ago, specifically because of the "Guaranteed to Start" promise badged across the engine cover. After four light duty uses, the mower failed to start. At the direction of Toro Customer Service, I took the mower to a repair center in Upland. Four days later the owner of this shop called me back and demanded $78.26 to "tune up" my carburetor which he stated: "wasn't so good".
I phoned back Toro and was accosted over the phone by a loud, obnoxious, smack-talking hood rat who would not let me speak. She interrupted, spoke over me and shouted me down. She also refused to consider warranty coverage, deferring to the non-English speaking shop that determined my carburetor was "not so good".
So I wrote a letter to Toro, explaining all this and demanding an answer as to why they wouldn't honor their warranty. I gave them a reasonable amount of time to respond and promised them a war if they did not. Toro has continued to ignore me. Here comes the war.
lawn mower
On september 28th 2010 I went to the Conns on Nasa road 1 and purchased the top of the line Toro lawn mower that Conns carried. I have been a customer of Conns for over 14 years, and until recently the last 2 purchases have i been having problems. I have bought 2 other Toros and they worked perfectly. One my ex-wife has and the other i lost in hurricane Ike. Today is March 20th and i am still unable to cut my lawn once. I will run it for approximately 20-30 minutes and then it either stop or i shut it off and will not restart for 30 minutes. Back in October i took the mower back to Conns 3 times of course emptying gas tank(free gass) and all 3 times they said there was no problem. On the last visit one of the managers said they replaced filter which i had to pay for a mower that was not a month old needed new filter. So comes winter same problem take it the mower to a repair place in Texas City who i trust who also happened to be a Toro dealer. Same results he said he ran 2 gas tanks it never quit running. I believe him but cut grass and see if it quits. I just want to be able to cut my grass in 1 day. I am 53 years old i have been cutting grass since i was old enough to cut my family yard. I don't do this for a living. When this 1st occurred i asked if i could get a new one they said no they will fix it. I have original receipt over 300$ cash and all other paper work. If anyone knows or how to help me i would greattly appreciate it. I wish I could take the lawnmower and cain it outside of the Conns with a sign sayinfg don't buy this or any other product that Conn's sells and dosen't back their product up. my name is Arturo Ovalle [protected]@aol.com. When is someone going to lookout for the consumer!

We purchased our Toro zero turn riding lawn mower this summer, and the sales promotion where we do not pay anything for a year with no interest. I just checked our last bill that we get monthly and I see we were billed $39 interest or late fee? What is this? We are very upset aobut this! Please respond soon
