Riot Games review: Banning

Dear sir/madam

My daughter has had her account permanently banned for telling another person to kill themselves. I know that this is not at all acceptable but banning indefinitely without allowing her to explain the circumstances that led to such a remark is surely not fair .

She has contacted your company at least 100 times pleading for this account back. She has tried to explain and has been told that her claim will be looked into- giving her the hope that it might be revoked. Then a message comes back to say no as it has already been investigated.

If it was investigated it would show how unpleasant the person who reported her was being and why she reacted as she did. I am not justifying her actions at all, but there are always two sides to a story.

She has spent in excess of 1500 purchasing items and the games and the characters really were her life.

Sadly during covid she developed severe mental health issues and her only escape from the daily pressures was this game.

She knows that she should not have made such a stupid comment but the person who she said this to her was goading her so much and making her feel worthless she just wrote the first thing that came into her head.

I do not feel that riot games consider the well-being of their players and really the chat option should be turned off by them when a player has shown that he or she is not communicating appropriately. If they are monitoring then they would have seen that the other person was trying to get a reaction and could intervene by turning off the chat.

I presume that you have a key word system set up that monitors for certain words!

Banning and allowing others to report people I believe is not the right way of dealing with this.

My daughter cries most nights about this

She can not let it go and instead of her being able to recover from her illness it is making her worse as she misses the characters so much.

Is there no way that the ban can be lifted under the rules of no chat option.

I do fear that if you continue this ban her health will decline further and she will make a silly decision, which she has done before, due to this problem.
