female manager's attitude
I was going to get a pack of cigarettes from the smoke shop on anaheim avalon but they were closed and I saw that rite aid's doors were open and people were shopping so I went in to get a pack of cigarettes, when I walked in the mgr was behind the counter she looked at me and walked away. Eventually a clerk came... Not knowing that I was going to rite aid I didnt bring my id so the clerk said' thats ok I will call the mgr and she will just override the register no problem'. When the mgr finally came the clerk spoke in spanish to her and she said no I wont do it for her! The clerk was as surprised as I was she apologized several times as I was on my way out.
Previously the manager and I had an negative encounter about photos and she was very nasty and would not check to see if my photos were ready, just said they are not here. I told her then she had a bad attitude and I would not be coming back to get the photos then I left, didnt want to make a scene.
I know that the requirement that rite aid has for id when purchasing cigarettes is not an iron clad rule because I have brought cigarettes there several time without an id! I am 60 years old and disabled and I know that I look over 21 period! If I had never brought cigs there before without and id it wouldnt be so bad.
I think the manager denied my purchase of cigarettes for personal reasons. I get the impression that she is prejudice and in this world there is enough of that maddness going around and an employee should not be allowed to act on personal feeling when it comes to a customer who want to purchase something. Especially a manager!
greeting people when have a customer you are checking out in front of you
Every store insists their employee at closest register to door welcome customers as they enter even if they have a customer in front of them they are waiting on at the time. This is the rudest practice to the customer at the register. I spent my entire career in some form of Customer Service and this practice is NOT good customer service, it is rude and uncalled for. I am so tired of this happening as are many other customers, suggest you change practice or start loosing more customers
complaint
I have a complaint about the Pharmacy at the above location.
1. On more than one occasion I have been over charged for prescriptions. The insurance coverage should have been such that my co-pay should have been lower. I thought it was off but that perhaps the co-pay had changed. Wrong. The next time I purchased the same drug (Cipro), the co-pay was the same as I had been paying at the Rite Aid in Smithfield. I am not asking for a refund. Actually, this happened more than once. Water under the bridge.
2. About a week and a half a go my dr. faxed a prescription for Clotrimazole to this pharmacy. My husband went to pick it up for me but was told that it was not in the computer. I had also not received the usual phone notification that the prescription was ready. I phoned my doctor and she assured me that she indeed had faxed the prescription over. I called the pharmacy and was told that they had gotten the fax but since I could buy this product over the counter they had just done nothing about it because it would not be covered by my insurance. This was a REFILL of a prescription I had had approximately a month prior and it was covered by my insurance. I told her to look it up. She did and it was and the Pharmacist told her to fill it. Today my husband complained to the pharmacist and he let the clerk talk all over him and say that it is over the counter and she was right etc. This should not happen and the pharmacist should have not let her interrupt. Shameful behavior on both their parts. I looked this medication up on the internet and it IS over the counter and prescribed and covered by insurance.
There is no excused for them to just not inform me that the doctor had faxed that to them. I needed that medication immediately. I had to suffer another week waiting for it. I blamed my doctor unnecessarily. Shame on that clerk. She should be taken down a peg or two.
3. I had a prescription for Cipro faxed to this pharmacy on September 27 for 14 tablets. Last night I noticed that I was short 4 tablets. Today my husband, when he went in to complain about the above two items, informed the pharmacist of this discrepancy and was given the additional tablets. This is just one more problem in a series of problems with this pharmacy.
One problem, perhaps, two maybe but three in the short time that they have been open? Seriously? I think that you really need to review your personnel at this location. Especially when the pharmacist didn't take my husband seriously and let his clerk talk over him. And the clerk was quite condescending to my husband.
This is such a shame because we were really looking forward to having a Rite Aid so close to our home instead of having to drive clear across town to the Smithfield store. We really love Sharon, the Pharmacist at the Smithfield store, though. Kudos to her.
Thank you,

pharmacist on lunch break... can't pick up a new drug without her consult
The new drug was fiber... really?
Surely there is a way to make this more convenient for the customer... who doesn't have time to come back in 20 or 30 minutes. Either stagger your pharmacists so there is no time without one... or use some common sense on what requires a pharmacy consult. It seems customer service is a dead item and it is very frustrating for the one who has left work to pick up meds at the pharmacy and then can't because the pharmacist is on lunch break. If you MUST have a half hour without a pharmacist on duty, then print up a time that she will be out to lunch, make it the same time every day, and hand out statements to that effect so people can get acquainted with this plan...
cashier #[protected] in store # 05479
Store [protected] East Saluson, Maywood, CA 90270)
Register # 3 / Transaction # 1838203
Cashier #[protected]
Cashier #[protected] in store #05479 ran from register to register trying to assist customers at the same time. This cashier takes money from one customer at a register then goes to another register and takes their money, etc. He received a $100 bill from us and printed a receipt and placed it on the counter saying he would return and owed us $73.29. We waited for about 20 minutes as he deal with the customers from the other two registers over and over again. Another employee arrived and asked cashier [protected], why he is managing three registers and his response was that he works multiple stores and is fast. The girl told the cashier to pay us, he finally came with multiple $5 dollars bills and started placing them on the counter. We said, no, we do not want our $73.29 in $5 dollar bills. His response, he is only counting the money, then he pulled out another stack and showed it to us full of twenties (this was very unprofessional and mishandling of money). He gave us $73 and left to another register. We told the other employee (the girl) we were $0.29 short and she gave it to us. Long story short is that cashier #[protected] is not responsible enough to have a cashier position and should take on a position with less responsibility. This cashier made shopping at riteaid a great inconvienience.
daewood air conditioner
I went to the rite aid near me and they had a 5000 btu daewood ac unit for sale listed as $129.99 with your rite aid card. There was a second sign posted as 50% off . When I went to buy the ac unit I was told it was $100.00 as the retail price was $199.00. However there was a sign posted that the unit was $129.99 with your card and 50% off.
When I tried to explain about the signs posted I was told I was wrong that it was a mistake. I ended up buying the ac for $100.00 however I think I over paid and was misled buy the signs posted in this store.
How can you have a sign posted that the ac is $129.99 with your store card which does not say the reg retail price is $199.99 and another sign as clearence of 50% off right next to the sign for $129.99, 50% of $129.99 is like $65.00 yet when you go to the register they charge you $100.00?
That is false advertisement and a way to sucker a customer into buying the ac . I have the receipt plus both signs that were posed and taped to the ac unit and would like to recieve the discount that I was supposed to recieve . I do have plans to also contact an attorney to see about filing a claim for false advertisement by this store as I feel I was wrongly played and misled by the signs taped to this ac unit
complete disorganization/incompetence that is dangerous to patient health
Date: 7/24/17: Store robo calls that scripts are ready. I call store to verify and told all four scripts are ready. I'm very ill but drive there anyway for my scripts. Told at the counter that one was "too soon" to refill. Said I could get it tomorrow morning but would have to call first even though it was ready to dispense. Complete disinterest in my being upset or the fact I was misinformed. Scolded me for being upset in the store.
Called there upon returning home. Spoke w/ same person (Allison) who had incorrectly told me on phone that script was ready tonight. She said that's what it said in computer and she had no way of knowing it was too soon. She suggested I talk to pharmacist on duty. I called pharmacist. Lost on hold several times. Pharmacist said I would actually have to wait two days for the script. She was rude and starting grilling me about the particular medication and threatening to call my doctor rather than addressing my concern. I repeatedly said my concern was that this has happened repeatedly at this store and I was concerned not about the particular medication in question but the communication/process within the store.
I care for my elderly mother who I must drive a long distance day 2 days from now for an important, longstanding MD appt with a very busy specialist. I worry I'll be too ill to drive her but might be able to if I can get the medication in 2 days. I don't have any reason to trust that the medication will really be ready that morning since I had already been given two different messages about when it would be ready.
The store has been there at least 2 years and should have worked through it's problems by now. Every time I go in there another patient is storming out of the pharmacy. Lines are endless, staff are inept and poorly trained, and most importantly, their system for giving accurate information is a shambles.
My small community website has actually been encouraging dissatisfied customers for at least a year now to complain about this particular store. The store does not seem to realize or care that peoples' lives depend upon how the store functions--not just the patient but people in the patient's life as well-(rippling effects).
In this day and age of generally poor customer service and poor health care I suppose I should not be surprised. I wonder how many people have died or gotten much worse because of this stores incompetence and disinterest.
The store should be on probation and disciplined. I will take this as far as I need to until the store is dealt with. I would have no difficult getting others in the community to participate, obviously. You must have received numerous complaints by now about this particular store. I see on the web that rite aide stores all over the U.S. have people complaining so maybe that's why you haven't had the chance to do anything about it. Or maybe you simply don't care, either.
This is patient neglect, bordering on malpractice. I expect a response.

the pharmacy of alturas california
Today at 8:00 am went to get my suboxan filled and only received 2 out of 28 was told that more were coming at noon so come back than so at noon there was no pharmacist then come back in 15 minutes I called before they gave me an even longer time to wait then a pharmacist tech called and said that I got the 2 and would have to wait until the next day I called back and found out it was all a lie and the came in but they were saving them for someone that's such bullying should be who came in with the script should be filled not put aside for someone else
prescription shortages.
On more than one occasion, my prescriptions have been short. I just returned from the Rite Aid on 1012 W. Sylvania Ave. Toledo, Ohio. Once again my script was short. This time by ten pills. The first time this happened, I called and was pretty much blown off and accused of possibly taking them myself. Now I can understand that this does happen. But Not In My case! I was so upset by the response of the person that I spoke to on that instance that I had my Husband call. As it turned out, the person who made the accusation had not even taken the time to check the stock at the store. The situation at that time was remedied.
I am the one that stands to lose all of my scripts and possibly my Doctor. When I am called to have them counted by my Dr. And I am short, there are no second chances when dealing with Pain Management. They have heard it all before. I can not risk this. So when I call and report that I am 10 pills short on my Tramadol script, the Pharmacist (Chris) tells me that I should have had them counted right here because it has happened in the past. He stated that he can see in my file that it has occurred. He said it in a manner as if to say that I am the problem. I can count! I learned in grade school. I should be able to trust my pharmacist and not have to spot check them! So Once again I am made to feel like I have done something wrong. Had he checked the file or previous situation in the past, He would have, depending on what was logged, found that the fault was not my own. The person at that time failed to count the stock and lied to me about it. It took another Pharmacist to do it and call back and apologize.
My family and I have been loyal customers for at least 15 years. I do not deserve to be made to feel as if I am a drug addict or liar who is desperate for an extra 10 pills. I am however, responsible for the count to my Doctor. If by chance the stores count is correct, and I have repeatedly counted my script. Then you folks have a problem. Some where along the line, some one is manipulating something. I know that before this continues, I will find another Pharmacy. I would prefer not to have to do this.
Respectfully,
Shelly Gantka

nature's truth supplements
Stopped in one of your units in Akron, Ohio, (Springfield Township), to purchase Nature's Truth Supplements which were in your Ad this week at BOGO! There were only 7 different varieties on a 3' shelf! Why bother advertising an item that hopefully will bring in customers? Then, the only thing Rite Aid does: Is P..S them off!

in store experience
Hello,
Today I visited one of the stores that is on 1720 Kings Hwy in Brooklyn, NY 11229. I would like to submit a complaint against cashier in this store # [protected] who worked on February 28 at register #4.
He was rude and not professional. He did not give me my change back, when I reminded him, he even did not say " sorry". He tried to get rid of me and our conversation ended like " have a nice day" meaning " ...uck you". I do not think that such employee can make someone to return back to the store...
the manager was very racist and discriminates against white people.
The manager of Rite Aid is very racist with me and he has told me that he can not give me this job because I am not American and because she does not like that I speak with an accent. I feel very sad, and very humiliated and very discriminated. I am from Europe and have been legally living in the USA for over 14 years. I am an American citizen since 2010 and it is the first time that a manager does not hire me in the USA because I was not born in the USA and because I have an accent when I speak English. She should not work as a manager because she is a racist and discriminates against people living legally in the USA and who also want to work at Rite Aid. I am white and she is African American race. I think she hates white people. She humiliated me a lot and made me cry. It is not fair that there are such bad and racist people occupying such an important position in a large company as Rite Aid. The store location is 03194. Williamsville, NY 14221

1/7/17 - rec'd call (automated) that rx -Lyrica needed prior authorization.
Called pharmacy and they told me they reached out to the doctor already for the authorization.
1/9/17 - I called prescribing physician's (Dr. Chantasi) office and asked if they did the prior auth for the med. They put me on hold and returned to tell me they had no request in their system for any prior auth requests, but would work on it. (I believe my doctors staff, they've spent countless amount of time and effort getting me this medication and jumping through Affinity's/CVS Caremarks hurdles and bureaucratic nonsense around Lyrica as there are no generics available and its expensive)
**Starting on the 7th I began to titrate down my dosing as this is a constant problem w this med and Rite Aid - if its not a prior auth problem they don't have enough on hand, my insurance doesn't allow partial fills, and if its a Friday I'm screwed until Monday. **
**I get sick - some sort of stomach virus**
1/13/17 - I realize I still don't have my medication & have none left at this point and call Affinity/CVS Caremark pharmacy customer care to see why this hasn't been approved. The customer service rep I spoke with says the authorization approval was given on the 10th so my rx should have been filled then. 1/13 is a Friday. She puts me on hold and calls Rite Aid. She comes back on the line to tell me that the pharmacist she spoke to (Zinnie/Zinnea?) looked it up, saw the approval in the system on the 10th, has no idea why it wasn't filled, does not have enough to fill my prescription but will forward me 9 pills to get me through the weekend.
Her doing that- giving me a partial fill when its not allowed tells me she knows they screwed up.
-So now I'm leaving for Florida on 2/9/17 and I will run out of Lyrica. My complaints:
-they (some employee) lied about sending prior authorization request on 1/7/17. If they had just asked me to call my docs to get it I would of, but apparently that's something you're supposed to do.
-when they got the authorization to fill the med, they didn't. I don't know why but they choose not too which now screws me by moving up my refill date to when I wont be here and Affinity/CVS Caremark does not allow vacation (early) fills
- I called the pharmacy to speak to Zinnie/Zinnea(?) She doesn't understand how your phone systems work because she put me on hold while I was still speaking totally intentionally because the on hold music came on, went off and I heard - "Can you talk to this woman, I don't want to deal with her right now?" I then heard giggling and someone else got on the line was totally rude, quite short with me and just wanted off the phone. I want someone to be accountable. Admit you screwed up. Admit you have a stupid policy in effect for prior authorizations. This incident described above is NOT the first time this has happened. I've used this pharmacy for years and the service just gets worse and worse. I've overheard conversations other people have had with Zinnea/Zinnie(?) and when the customer calls the pharmacy out on a mistake or an error or a delay she turns things back onto the customer and actual said to a woman the other night -well maybe you wouldn't have these problems if you learned how to plan better... the woman was there straight out of picking her husband up upon discharge from the hospital and they didn't have half the stuff she needed-that the hospital said she had to have.
I don't know what I expect from this but I'm am so sick of doing business with store 00155 Rite Aid on 96 Dolson Ave, Middletown, NY 10941
30 years ago, your doctor wrote a prescription which was A DOCTOR'S ORDER to be followed, NO QUESTIONS ASKED by the pharmacist. There are now 19 layers of PAID clerks between your doctors order, and the person who dispenses that drug over that counter to you. YOU PAY THE WAGES OF EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THOSE CLERKS! with every prescription, you or your insurance company pays for. Do you realize that? Think about it for a minute. There are now 46 people involved in EACH AND EVERY transaction that is carried out with regard to ANYTHING having to do with your healthcare. I said HEALTHcare - not pissant jobs for CLERKS (business degree or not). Tell Trump to eliminate all this costly beaurocracy! By law! First order of business, Donald.
discrimination, and slander
My name is james chard but go by jamie. I have been discriminated again my makeup that I wear, I use to wear it heavy but then told to do it lighter and I did. Then a new shift manager started named jackie and she told mike the store manager cause I was wearing makeup. He told me to take it off or leave. So I left cause it would of smeared and I would had to leave anyway. I'm a trangender "girl in a guys body" I should be allowed to wear makeup cause it is who I am. And mike always changes the schedule on me and then tells me at the last minute. I can take this discrimination about who I am and the disrespect I get all the time. I will get a lawyer if this keeps on.
Thank u
Sincerely,
Jamie chard
dirty conditions
While parking my car in the lot, I got out and stepped into a large pile of feces. It was partly covered by a cardboard box and some paper towels. My drivers side tire was covered in it and I tried to step out of my car, I foot also went into it. I went into the store and complained to a manager. She said it would be cleaned up. I picked up what I had to and left. I called the store when I got home and asked the manager for a corporate phone #. She said she didn't have it. I went online and found a site where I filed a complaint but to no avail. I also know that homeless people are always outside of the building sitting on the curb and not moving when you go past them. These people have been staying in the building after the pharmacy closes and in the morning the bathrooms need to be cleaned as there is feces smeared on the walls. Another manager called me to say that the matter was from a large dog. That is a total lie. Maybe an elephant. This was a coverup from a human.
This is unacceptable practices.
rite aid brand nicotine gum
about a year ago you changed the recipe for Riteaid cinnamon gum, for a few years I was buying from your stores then you changed the gum . If you look online you will find pages of similar complaints, we want our old gum back, I think it was from Watson Labs, the new recipe is too sweet, loaded with artificial sweetener. This has forced me to buy Nicorette, more expensive and less enjoyable, also I have stopped coming to your stores and buying other items while I get my gum. thanks D Lewis
store manager
The store Manager does not close. If I'm not mistaking I thought store managers was suppose to close three nights out of the week. It isn't fair to the other managers to always close and for him to always open because he doesn't like closing . I also don't like he is very rude and unprofessional. I know for a fact that its a few people there that walks home and even take public transportation. If this store manager continues to be rude to some of the customers and employess. I will no longers be a customer at Rit Aid and been shopping there for years. Can you please just fix the problem!
unethical behaviour
I work in a pharmacy as a cashier. Granted I'm not rail thin, I'm not large either, just curvy.
One day my "wonderful boss" had a great time asking if Captain Ahab is still stalking me and can he just call me Moby. He continued on and on with whale references. It seemed as it took forever for him to stop.
I was newly hired, needed a paycheck to keep a roof over my head. I couldn't speak up for fear of getting fired or getting on his bad side. After clocking out, I walked to my car in tears. I have low self esteem as it is, and now I'm working at a barely over minimum wage putting up with this crap.
It was so bad the the other pharmacist that overheard everything made him call to apologize. Luckily I wasn't around my cell to answer. But the rambling "apology" only angered me more.
A year later I'm still there. Many other verbal, snarky comments spew from him on occasion. I speak to him only if I have to . I've gone to managers several times about him, but they ignore my pleas and say, "Oh, that's just ____, that's just how he is."
I need to get vocational training to get a better job, but the lack of income makes it impossible.
I feel trapped, I am now on anti-depressants and hypertension meds. This place is going to kill me physically and emotionally.

This is a complaint from a Coca Cola Driver. I attempted to make a delivery today at 7am to Rite Aid store number 5886. As I walked into the store I asked for a manager the employee at the front of the store called the store manager David. As hr walked up he ignored me also walked away from me. As I fallowed behind him I said sir I have a Coca Cola delivery for you. He stopped at the end of the store by the backroom door. Then he said "your not welcomed here bro". I then left the store without making the delivery. I tried to make a delivery here with the same manager a couple months back where we were out of stock on a couple items for the delivery and notified him of it. He then lost it. He started cursing and accused me of stealing cases. In 15 years of service as a Coca Cola employee Ive never been called a thief. This is the worst I've ever been treated. Something needs to be done about this guy and I'm not the only driver that he's treated like this.
