CVS Pharmacy new thelephone voice response system is bad
Recently, it has been a frustrating experience trying to communicate with CVS, in general, and with its Pharmacy Department, in particular.
Over the last few months, its telephone auto-response system has been changed and it was a change for worse.
The menus are poorly designed. One has to listen to many lengthy prompts before being able to select the desired option.
Among many flaws and glitches that CVS telephone auto-response system does exhibit, it makes it very difficult to talk to a pharmacist in the case of a problem. Often, key entries are not properly recognized and after the caller is sent to a wrong sub-menu there is no option to go back to the main menu.
Plus, not being able to talk to a pharmacist but having to leave a message, first, is a time waste for the customer that is very discouraging from doing business with CVS.
The time I have wasted over past several months approaches the limit after crossing which I am going to stop buying my prescriptions at CVS.
Recommendation: File a cpmplaint and consider other available pharmacies if the problem persists
Customer Complaint - CVS Store # 9819 on Depot St. in Vacaville, CA 95688
Horrible customer service. They force people to self-checkout and watch people do it. Never seen this store in such poor condition. I do not work at CVS to check myself out, nor having a staff member telling me will "walk me through". I'm not in training for a job at CVS, I already have my own job: and is not at CVS. My time is very important too. I don't want to do your job for free. Complete disregard for customers. I will not be back if the customer care doesn't improve and the checkout at registers doesn't get re-instated. The manager refused to give her name or any contact information for HQ customer complaint. CVS is trying to force everyone to use self-checkout and that is unacceptable.
Recommendation: If a person chooses to use self checkout that's fine, but if a custores refuses, as in my case, should not be forced, but an employee should be always available to check customers out.
Worst store ever!!
Everytime i go to CVS, they close down self checkout and follow me thru store and watch over me like if im going to steal. I moved to Windsor Locks 3 yrs ago and have never been treated like a thief before. I am told i can”t pick up medications for my mom because he cvs is not the same as mine, told i can”t use any coupons, told i am not wanted in the store anymore. This store is racist and are very rude to me. I will not be using any cvs stores again and will make sure i have all my family not use CVS pharmacy or stores again!
The store has been completely degraded lately, and the customer care is ridiculous. They are forcing customers to self-checkout, while they are just sitting there and watching. UNNACEPTABLE. I don't work at CVS to do their job for free! :-( They better take the corrective steps to improve and reinstate quality customer service or they'll be gone because people will not go back to being treated so poorly.

Despicable customer service
I have been waiting 8 days for a controlled medication after an invasive surgery from these incompetent actors. They blamed everyone for their failures, the doctors and the insurance company. In the end it was shown to be their incompetence. When I went to pick up the prescription I also attempted to buy a couple of items off their shelves. I walked up to the empty line to check out and was told to wait a minute while the cashier finished her conversation with another employee behind the counter. A couple of minutes later a lady excused herself from behind me and she passed by me going to the same cashier who checked her out immediately. Apparently she wasn’t done with her shopping yet and rather than placing her items aside and and taking the next customer at hand she chose to let her go and finish her shopping while everyone else waited on her. After I stood in place for 5 minutes I used the self checkout. I hope they realize they no longer need these rude incompetent people. I am quickly learning that at least computers aren’t rude [censored] and deserve our hard earned dollars.
Mixed Experiences at CVS - A Customer's Perspective
As a customer who values convenience and quality service, my experiences at CVS have been quite mixed. While I appreciate the wide range of products and services offered by CVS, including vaccinations, prescriptions, and wellness essentials, the inconsistency in customer service and operational efficiency has been a concern. I have encountered instances of long wait times at the pharmacy, issues with prescription refills, and challenges in communication between staff and customers. Despite the efforts of some dedicated employees who have provided excellent service, there have been significant lapses in overall customer experience. As a loyal customer, I hope to see improvements in service quality and operational effectiveness at CVS in the future.
cvs pharmacy
I just want to take this time to express my delight with my recent purchase. I had to make an urgent trip to the hospital because I was having trouble breathing. I lose oxygen when I walk so, I walk with oxygen. My uber driver took care of going inside for my prescriptions that were sent over from the hospital."VALERIE" was the person who assisted my uber driver. Thank you so very much for making this a wonderful trip. I greatly appreciate all that was done on my behalf. You should be held in high regard! I honestly cannot stop thanking you.
Please be so kind to continue to have a beautiful and blessed day. GOD loves you and so do I.

BEST Customer Service Ever by Katie at Ruckersville, Va, CVS
This morning, we stopped by the Ruckersville, Va.; CVS to create our 2017 Christmas photo card. The machine is a bit intimidating, but photo expert KATIE helped us every step of the way, even straightening out our crooked photo! Katie couldn't have been nicer, making our visit fun. She assembled the envelopes, made sure the cards printed quickly using 1-Hour Photo (50 cards in 20 minutes), and she even brought us the finished cards, all boxed up, while we shopped elsewhere in the store. We gave her a big hug and nominate Katie as Ruckersville, Va., CVS Queen for the Day! And we know right where we will go to create our future Christmas photo cards. Thank you so much - Annie and Mack Rowe, Madison, Va.
Love CVS Delivery!
Love my local CVS. It's a smaller city but I can't really leave house often so I am very glad they offer same day delivery! Very convenient and arrives as expected. There have been some times when there was a delay but I would always receive notification. I love how friendly the staff are when I call with questions! Even though they seem very busy, they still take the time to answer my questions. I have carepass and use free delivery option often, which helps me save a lot of money in delivery fees. The app is very user friendly for older generation like myself. I am very happy that CVS offer such conveniance for people who are unable to leave the home often. I really hope CVS keeps delivery as an option because I have come to depend on it.
Excellent Pharmacist at Store 1667, Lititz, PA
In the past two weeks I interacted with Pharmacist Ben. On the first occasion, the pharmacist told me there is a new pneumonia medication and wondered if I had received it. I told him I was seeing my doctor at the end of the week and would inquire from him as to whether I should get it. Last week I picked up a medication and Pharmacist Ben had attached a memorandum calling attention to the fact that this drug may interact negatively with another I am taking. I emailed my doctor who replied that this caveat is true in some cases, but my dosage was so low that it is not a problem. In both cases I was so grateful that Pharmacist Ben, in the midst of a very busy practice, took time to speak with me and later attach a memorandum to my prescription. I am blessed to have such a caring pharmacist.
Awesome job
I received my Covid shot at cvs. I was a little apprehensive at first to get a vaccine at what I like to call a convenient store, but they did a great job. Social distancing was implemented, temperatures were checked prior, and sanitation was thorough. I didn't have to wait to long after being checked in and was advised to stay on the premises for 15 minutes after receiving the vaccine to monitor any allergic reactions. Practically the same as going to the physicians office minus the hefty bill. I did have to drive a good bit to get to a location but that probably because supply couldn't keep up with demand when they first approved my age group for the vaccine. Also I scheduled my vaccine appointments online and the site is very user friendly which is a big thing to me. I recommend giving cvs a shot *pun intended
CVS is really good for there prices also they give coupons on the rewards program
My review is for CVS they are great with there Rewards Program. You either use a Rewards card or Phone number. You get discounts on certain items they feel you might need. Some of them you don't even use. But when you spend at CVS they keep a record. Then when you reach a certain amount. They send you either 25% off your bill or 20% off. It really helps since I spent over 40.00 and got 25% off. It makes me feel good that a store rewards you when you spend. I just got today my 25% off coupon. Plus just to let you all know that if for any reason you don't get to use your coupon before it expires they put those coupons on your card or when you go to CVS it will be on your account. You put your card under it and it prints out those coupons for the 25% or 20% coupons as well as others. I like CVS better than Rite Aid. Thanks for reading.
Be patient and save a lot of money
CVS used to make me crazy with their extra bucks, weekly specials, etc... they just made it confusing and it seemed that what was being promoted was never anything I wanted. I am very faithful to another store that starts with a "T", but one day they didn't have what I needed so I went into a CVS. The girl helping me was so nice, I agreed to sign up for Extra Bucks... great decision! They've streamlined it. You get emails often with their weekly deals, and you just click a button and it's transferred automatically to your card. I can't fit one more card in my wallet, so all you have to do is give them your phone # if you go into a store. You can also choose what categories you're most interested in to personalize what emails they send you, so it's not overwhelming. They have great deals on some of my favorite items often. Also, if you love high end beauty products, they have a very good selection online only. I saved 30% on a very expensive serum.
None better
I'm going to try and make this short. I bought brand name makeup from CVS had a reaction to it. I know their store return policy. I had no receipt and had thrown away packaging. I called their 800 customer service number hoping with CVS care card they could locate the transaction number and help me out as I didn't want to just throw away the makeup and couldn't use it. The customer service rep was more than helpful and transferred me to someone in the customer care dept. They took my complaint and told me they would also contact the company for the brand of makeup I had bought. I also received a follow up call from someone else who deals with customer complaints. I wish I had names but have thrown away paperwork. They showed concern for my issue. I have been a shopper at CVS for many years have had my issues in store with customer service but for the most part in all the years I have been with them I have never felt like I wanted to stop patronizing them and go to a competitor. All I really wanted was to get a refund for the makeup and they did that plus more for me. I will also be contacted by the manufacturer of the makeup as that is their policy. I love CVS and they have a customer for life.
You’ll grow a full beard waiting in line here
This CVS is the slowest pharmacy on the entire east coast. I have NEVER seen them fully staffed. Half the time they you your stuff is ready, then when you show up, they can't find it and tell you to come back later. They have a drive thru that's been either out of order or simply abandoned since before the pandemic. Of course they wouldn't have the staff to run it anyway.
How do they even stay in business?!?!
Rude employee
While I was shopping your employee, who was stocking next to me, was singing so loud that she could be heard on the Riverfront. Not very professional I must say.
She checked me out and when, I asked to purchase a book of stamps, she replied, "We don't have any". I was not even greeted with a hello but her rude attitude.
This is why I now go to my local Walgreen's for all my needs. Who hires these rude people to handle your paying customers? How unprofessional and the reason I no longer go to CVS unless I absolutely have to.
Recommendation: Hire people with manners and customer service experience.
Above and beyond
Im disabled and don't have a car. I count on thing being done on time. We in this occasion. My wife and I had problems with the doctors office causing or prescriptions to be late. Unfortunately that doesn't matter to the ride I scheduled. CVS received them and had them filled with in fifteen minutes. I'm on a fixed income and it saved me 20$. 20 that I did not have. Ty CVS
The Worst Pharmacy and drugstore!
They have the MOST incompetent, obnoxious workers...from Annette, David and Kira...and Both the Pharmacists... The male one refused to give his name on the phone! ALL of the pharmacy workers are SO SLOW AND RUDE...They don't respect the customers at all! Go to Walgreens just a few blocks down in Dunedin where the staff is so kind , helpful and quick!
Changes ruined service
I had been using the same CVS in Target because the staff there was amazing. However, for whatever reason there were changes made that totally ruined the experience. All the staff that had been there had all the sudden been replaced, all of them. The new staff obviously was not even from the area, the prescriptions were not getting filled, they changed the rules on what and how they could fill things and so I went for days without necessary medications and I was told that I would need to call and remind them instead of the normal being texted when they were filled because I was on automatic refill. So not only were there new staff unfamiliar with the area, they also seemed unfamiliar with how to fill prescriptions and customer service was not pleasant, even though it was the changes CVS made that created this very poor customer service. Will never use CVS again. And maybe, just maybe - they'll stop destroying our natural resources from all the paper they waste on 2 - 3 ft long receipts that everyone just throws away.
Recommendation: I transferred everything to my local Walgreens, but my recommendation would be any pharmacy other than CVS.
What has happened to CVS?
I scheduled Covid and flu shot with CVS online only to be texted the night before my appointment that the vaccines were not available yet and to reschedule. I rescheduled for another day only to get the same text again that they were not available and to reschedule. I rescheduled for a third time and, you guessed it, I got the same text again the night before my appointment. I figured I'd wait a few weeks before rescheduling again. CVS calls me to tell me that the vaccines are, indeed, in and a glitch was sending out these texts. I go in, get my shots. Now I get constant texts telling me how sorry CVS is for the delay and not to forget to reschedule. I inform CVS that I already got the shots but the texts still keep coming to reschedule. It's time for CVS to get its act together.
Recommendation: Schedule with someone else who is more reliable.
Today, 10/4/2023, our doctor called in a few prescriptions for my sick wife to the CVS on Charlotte Street in Pottstown, PA. Later, around dinner time, I called CVS to inquire about the status of the prescriptions so I could avoid driving all the way to the pharmacy if they were not going to be ready. I spoke with the pharmacist who informed me that they were finishing up the prescriptions as we spoke and to wait a few more minutes before driving over to pick them up. He also reminded me not to wait too long because the pharmacy was closing at 7:00pm. I waited for a while and arrived at the pharmacy at approximately 6:45. The man at the counter does not even make eye contact with me, does not greet me with a "how may I help you", and mumbles in a monotone robotic voice, "Name and date of birth". I provide him with the information. He again mumbles in his monotone voice that the prescriptions are not filled yet and the earliest I would be able to pick them up would be the next day. I informed him that I had already spoken to the pharmacist on the phone almost an hour ago and he had told me they were finishing up with them then and they'd be ready when I arrived. "We are sorry. Anything else you need?" was his monotone, robotic response. I was livid at his "too bad, take it or leave it" attitude.
Robot answering service about 10 years
The robot answering machiine , when it was male it was awful but at least every question did not prompt you to get an app .
The new female voice is identical as the old save that it aggressively wants you to download their bloody app . It never tells me i have presciptions ready , never ever . So when I call i am made to wait through the endless nonsense that does not pertain to me and wait until i may push the button to speak with a pharmacist .
Not only all of this , i do not receive a phone call or a message when my scripts have been filled ,
And when i call , the damned robot says nothing as to whether or not my scripts are ready . It is endlessly frustrating .
I am on 24 medications and this "Service" needs to be junked , it is worse than useless .
Recommendation: Complain , it may be screaming into the void but maybe it will help . the answering service is 100% broken.

April 17, 2024 - purchased 90 supply of Yuvafem prescription number 366212. I paid $179.74. My son picked up the medication for me that day. Because I am in Mexico. He lost the receipt and I later contacted CVS for a copy of bill so I could file a claim.
I checked the Aetna website, my medical insurance, to see about filing a claim for the medication and saw that with Aetna had already been used on that purchase so my co-pay should have been $64.37 not $179.74. I would like to get a refund of $115.37, the difference between my I paid versus what my insurance company said I should have paid.
Claimed loss: $115.37
Desired outcome: a refund

Pharmacy
I work w a dr's office and have been trying to reach the CVS pharmacy on Crawford Rd in Phenix City, AL. I have called and held for over an hour all together. I called the store to try and speak to the manger and no one answered the store phone either. This is very bad business practice. I am encouraging my patients to use another pharmacy since no one can speak to a pharmacy associate for a general question. As you are aware word of mouth works for both bad and good recommendations.
Desired outcome: The associates should answer the phone.

Tremendous co pay price increase for Amlodipine medication
I've been with Amlodipine 10mg for more that 12 years and never paid a lot of money for this since I am getting the generic brand- The last time I refilled my 90-day prescription was February 09,2024 paid $4.90 for that and on May 08, 2024, surprisingly paid $23,30 (that is almost 500% increase). called the customer service and they said that manufacturer's discount are no longer offered. Reviewing my plan for 2024, I have a maximum $10 co pay after deductible (retail), that said this is in violation of the plan i signed for and the $4.90 which is used to pay is justifiable.
Customer service Representative refused to give her full name - the call was taken by Jessica on May 09, 2024, approximately 3:34 pm call lasted for 44 min.
Claimed loss: $18.40 on wards till the end of 2024 or end of my insurance coverage. loss of my time and stressed that I encountered during this transaction
Desired outcome: considering the present economy situation a REASONABLE price increase can be accepted - 10-20% not almost 500% increase

Contact your insurance provider to clarify the terms of your plan and report the discrepancy. Request an explanation for the increased cost and how it aligns with your plan's copay terms. Additionally, you can speak with a pharmacist at CVS to see if there are any other discount programs or options available. If the issue remains unresolved, consider contacting a consumer protection agency for further assistance.

My doctor sent in an RX for magnesium suoplements. He did so because it is VITAL to my health. Without them I could go into muscle spasms so severe that I can injure myself. I need just the right supplements and dosage and must be filled by the pharmacist. I waited days and days. It turns out “CVS” has a policy thst they wont fill RX for anything that can be bought over the counter, never mind that I might make a mistake and get the wrong thing. No one at CVS called me. They just rejected the RX SENT BY A DOCTOR AND NEVER NOTIFIED ME. This is the third time they simply didn’t bother to fill an rx without notifying me. In one case they didn’t have the medicine and simply said screw it without notifying me. Meanwhile I was at home suffering.

I ordered on line 2 at home covid tests and my FEPBlue policy was to pay for them, March 2. Order number [protected]. I used a credit card that my insurance company provided for the shipping costs that day. After checking with the insurer, Blue Cross Blue Shield, the card will not pay for shipping, so I called the on-line number back to cancel the order. Since that time, the order has been stuck, not cancelled so that I can order through my own pharmacy, and noone can find the order. It is blocking me from ordering my tests elsewhere.
I have called every number provided, I have taken time out of my work day to follow up and have been transferred countless times and have been told no CVS in my home town has the order. Someone needs to cancel this order so that I can order these covid at home tests elsewhere. Deborah Compton [protected] (Seattle, Washington)

Husband went in person (Sunday about 5PM) to CVS in Donaldsonville and spoke to the pharmacist on duty. Showed a copy of my Minoxidil tabs (90 day supply) prescription from Express Scripts and asked the pharmacist to transfer the prescription to CVS. She then told my husband that she could not transfer a single prescription; I would have to transfer all my prescriptions to CVS (which I had no intention of doing).
I fill prescriptions periodically at CVS and am very upset at the pharmacist failure to transfer a single urgently needed prescription. Please advise if this is the CVS policy.
