RoadOne towing towed and sold my vehicle despite an open police report that it was stolen.SDPD case number:21301408M Report filed: 03/14 VIN: *** I was NEVER notified, either in writing or via phone call or email, by either RoadOne or the San Diego Police, despite checking in on the case several times. After RoadOne sold my car, it was subsequently impounded on 10/21 by the Oceanside CHP (recovery number V02383-650-21) at which point I FINALLY received a paper notification by mail. This is absolutely not legal and I would like the company either to make reparations to me or to provide me with the necessary documentation to file a legal complaint.
This company just gives there customers the run around
This company just gives there customers the run around. They over charged for their services but even though we go to get the car the stated that they didn't take multiple credit cards. Eddie, Andy and Max verified that they did take multiple CC. So after going to ATM to get cash. It took them an additional 2 and half hours to get back to yard. This is after they told us they would be there for 30 mins... they just gave us the run around all morning. This is a horrible company.

Scammers! Called to have a vehicle towed and overcharged me saying it took over an hour and a half to get the vehicle towed after it was picked up. The drop off location is no more than 20 minutes and absolutely no traffic! Do not use they will double your invoice and you have no choice but to pay or they will not drop the vehicle. Said their "supervisor" would call back and have not received a call back. Absolutely robbers! Would have tipped their driver very generously as we also own our own service and gratuity is important to our staff. But thanks to the people doubling the bill therewent the drivers tip. Worst towing experience. What a joke of how this business is ran 3 stars on google, 1 star ratings on Yelp how is this business still allowed to be able to continue to take advantage of the people of San Diego before someone steps in and does something about this.

A consumer protection law shields against illegal towing malpractices
A consumer protection law shields against the worst of illegal towing. Under AB Excessive Charges lien sale notice, I don't owe anything more than my car's cost; the tow was invalid and caused damage to my vehicle. There was also a major delay in retrieving my car due to a peace officer not returning my identification card, which delayed my claim. Consequently, I had to order a new birth certificate from another state, taking 3 weeks. Now, I must visit the DMV tomorrow to get proof of identity to prove ownership. I was wrongfully towed and now charged money; this is fraud and this is my first asset I have ever owned. Everything violates my fourth amendment rights.

On Nov.6,2021 I was forced to make a payment of $2,445.00 to release my vehicle from their fenced parking lot; there was no warning of impending towing(i.e,. a warning sign as such on windshield of imminent removal of vehicle which was parked in line of cars for repairs at *** Boys, as my car was parked there just yards away, needing to be driveable once again due to transmission trouble. My car was literally held hostage as the $2445.00 price to release it was excessive and unwarranted. They (RoadOne Towing,Private Impound) would not explain discrepancy of rates- SDPD/CHP and disavowed SDPD parking signs posted at the location; charging CHP rate daily in a SDPD zone. Sincerely, *** Call Receipt -tow ticket#*** (only identifying no) lot location: Station 22

My Honda Civic 2012 Red Coupe was towed by Road One Towing to an undisclosed location.
My Honda Civic 2012 Red Coupe was towed by Road One Towing company. When I retrieved it on 06/08/2022, I noticed front bumper damage. There's a significant dent on the left side. I inquired about the damage with the manager, who was unsure but promised to review CCTV footage on Friday. Another employee confessed to moving my car. I was suspicious as my tracking device previously showed a different location. I monitor the tracker daily, which is how I knew the car had been moved without my consent. They are not authorized to use my vehicle for personal tasks. I was advised I could file a claim on Friday.

On 3/13/22 at 19:17:52 my Porsche Cayenne S was impounded for a mistaken overdue registration
On 3/13/22 at 19:17:52 my Porsche Cayenne S was impounded for a mistaken overdue registration. It was for smog. My up to date registration was on the dash. I had just paid over 2k from a previous tow not even 2 weeks prior. I have a tile hidden inside a seat, so I can see where my vehicle went and for how long. According to my tile my car didnt reach the tow yard until 3/16 at 7:02 pm. In the mean time it shows my car at someones house. There is no reason my car should have sat at a home for 3 days without being put on record or without my knowledge. Then again on the 20th my tile shows my car leaving the lot and going 15N. On the 25th after paying close to another 1k I was able to get my car out. I had tried days prior but the tow company misread my registration and wouldnt let me take my car out even though I had what I needed. Plus they charged me 3 days more than they should have since my car didnt reach the lot until the 16th. I have expensive dresses missing from a suitcase and I also have damages inside my car and out. And to make it better they said this tow was light duty which means that there was no flat bed for my AWD car.

My complant is Roadone online Auction is misleading when they list cars for bidding with runs
My complant is Roadone online Auction is misleading when they list cars for bidding with runs. The car in question is 2007 *** 6s vin *** STATION #3 Spring valley winning bid $1,375 plus fee$137.50 plus expense $100.00 total $1,612.50. The car needed a jump to start which made it around the *** then died! Since I am paying hard earded money to buy a car from Roadone Auction it would be nice to know if a car starts without issues. Roadone knows the status of the car because they have the key and started the car before listing it for Auction, it take no time to start cars with keys to know if it has issues. I would never bid with Roadone if I knew the car they said runs a block and quits. They listed *** that runs and missing a belt! That last information is helpful runs missing a belt. Since the Auction is onling give consumers a chance to bid on something that really runs. The time spent to start a car and declare it runs without issues would serve the general public bidding on cars. I would not of bid on Roadone Auction again based on there word car starts. Because its misleading, they are in the bussness of towing carsl, selling cars at Auction. Starting the *** with jumpbox took 10 seconds to know the car had issues. I would have no problem with Roadone if they listed car runs poorly, that know that much.

I won a car on their online auction that was said to start, run and the expiration of registration was a few months ago (2020)
I won a car on their online auction that was said to start, run and the expiration of registration was a few months ago (2020). When I went to pick it up I was informed that I could not view the car before I paid for it. As soon as I handed the cash over she tells me it wont start and I cant leave it on their property. They finally agreed to jump the car off and told me it was like that only because they dont crank the cars all the time. Once I got the car started it ran horribly and it overheated, leaking coolant as fast as I could pour it in. I couldnt even move the car from their property and that car couldnt have been moved from there without towing it. I asked if they could at least give me a deal on towing since I just gave them almost $1000 for a car that by no means fit the description of their online ad. It did not start for them less than a week ago no more than it did for me. No help could be provided on the towing either. Also the plates on the car are from 2007 so either they were wrong about that also or they stole them off the car to put on another vehicle. These people are operating using very underhanded and foul business practices. Upon further review of their terms it states that Road One can bid on their own auctions to inflate the price. Additionally, on top of the "buyers premium" that may be charged I was also charged extra "fees" that are stated as charity on my receipt. In fact their whole "fine print" states things that are in no way even legal much less practices of a upstanding, righteous business. Given this is America, this business should not be allowed to openly defraud their victims, "customers", with no repercussions.
