I bought a pair of Rothy's 8 months ago and wear them approximately once a week to work. I noticed yesterday that a small hole is developing and called to find out if the shoe could be repaired or replaced. The shoes fell into the 'wear and tear' category and couldn't be repaired or replaced. Rothy's mission statement is making "durable and sustainable" products. Hmmm may be time to revisit that statement.

TLDR: My Rothy's lasted 4 days before they were destroyed and Rothy's did not care. Rothy's are not inexpensive. I bought a pair of sandals in March - excited to wear them once the weather started getting warmer. I went on vacation in May and wore my new Rothy's sandals over the course of 4 days. 2 of 4 days, I stayed in my hotel and either was barefoot or reclining by the pool. The other two days, I wore my sandals out and about for most of the day. After 4 days, the heels of the soles had totally eroded away. I contact Rothy's thinking this had to be some sort of defect. Their response was to offer me a discount on a future purchase - as if it's not insulting to suggest I'd be appeased enough to buy another pair of shoes that didn't even last a week. Awful quality products, shady business practices, and a poor customer experience.
I purchased these flats with 2nd day air to make sure they arrived for my wedding. 2 days later, I noticed that *** hadn't received the shoes yet, and emailed costumer service. They said that the shoes had just shipped, were with *** and to wait. The next day I saw no change in tracking, so I emailed again. They said that the order had gotten mis-sorted, had never shipped, that there was no way to ship them in time for my wedding, and offered a refund instead. They made it seem like they were doing me a favor by giving me my first timer promo code back. All this is to say while I'm sure the shoes are great, don't trust the company to send you anything on time, even if you paid extra for it. And don't expect any above and beyond customer service from them to make up for their mistake - their phone system just redirects you back to their email, where they send canned messages. For getting something as basic as this wrong, I expected at least an additional discount on future purchases, but instead they just lost a customer.

My sister who has bought 2 pairs in the past attempted to send me the link to 2 different emails and neither allowed me to use the link claiming I had to be a first time customer which I am. Exchanged texts with customer service for 1/2 an hour only to be told someone will get back to me with a resolution. Despite the resolution should have been to allow us to have our $30 off. The customer service is terrible and certainly not worth me spending 100+ on a pair of shoes when there are so many other options out there.

My friend ordered a pair using the teacher discount, put her credit card payment in, received confirmation of payment, and anticipated ship date. Several days later the order was cancelled by Rothy's the shoes were not available for the teacher discount. This is truly a prime example of deceptive trade practices under Texas State Law. It is very unclear to me why Rothy's would try to lure teachers, first responders, and medical practitioners in to purchase their product with a discount to then tell them they could not receive the promised discount. I screen shotted the code and the page where the shoes I selected where on the discount program page and then denied when I attempted to complete the transaction. I spent an hour attempting to find a pair to purchase. I will be following up with the Texas Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission to file a formal complaint against this company and their unethical practices.

Well, a week has passed since the package was supposed to arrive and I am now told the product will take 14 more "business" days to arrive. I tried asking to cancel the order (unfulfilled in my view) but that wouldn't work. I now have to wait until they FAIL AGAIN to try and get my money back. The trick seems to be in the FINE PRINT. For the price of the product, you would expect some customer service but that isn't part of the package (actually to have certainty you have to pay more).

I am sad to write this
I am sad to write this. Rothys sent me a $500 bag with a defective zipper, and when I tried to get help with that (I would have accepted anything- even a partial credit since it was on sale when I bought it) they told me that they wouldnt offer any kind of compensation. Ive been a loyal fan and I have 50+ pairs of these shoes. Unfortunately when their production changes, as it does frequently, there are always some quality issues. Ive witnessed this during many releases. Aside from the above issue, Rothys has been trending towards downgrading their quality (removing hardware and features, crafting thinner shoes, the slippery soles of death) while keeping their prices THE SAME. As someone who has been purchasing for years, you can imagine how much it *** to get a lower quality product for the same high price. The fact that they wont offer some kind of quality guarantee should be a red flag ? for consumers wanting to try Rothys. The reviews on this profile do not surprise me at all. They are shady and there are much more reliable companies you can spend your money with.

Inability to exchange sizes on Camel Captoe I bought as a gift for Christmas
A family member has wanted to try Rothy's for some time. I bought her a pair for Christmas. Her husband had looked at all her shoes in her closet and told me they were ALL size 8. When I gave them to her, they were slightly large so she wanted to exchange them for a smaller size. Both of us contacted Customer Service immediately about exchanging them.
We were told that they were final sale items (although only about $20 off), so could not be exchanged. I do not recall seeing anything about that when I purchased them or, since they were her first pair, I would have chosen another style.
I am frankly shocked that your company's policy makes such a minimal discount prevent her from exchanging the shoes for the appropriate size shoe.
She was excited that this might be her first pair of many Rothy's shoes, but this experience makes any future purchases of your shoes very doubtful! I would greatly appreciate your reconsideration of this decision.

Six months ago I bought a pair of Rothy shoes
Six months ago I bought a pair of Rothy shoes. They are known for being able to be washed. ( the company takes pride this) . I washed my shoes following the instructions , cold water on gentle and no Dryer. Within two days after washing i noticed tearing away from the seem. I have had several emails back and forth , they have questioned my wear and tear, less than six months . They also implied i may have not washed them correctly and now they have implied i bought shoes too small. They will not admit to a manufacturing defect ,which i believe it is. I wear a size 6.5. I purchased the Pointed Evening Metallic flat that didn't look sparkly at all on the site and looked very cute with the checkered pattern. I received the flat and immediately pulled the site up thinking I must have remembered the color wrong as it looked nothing like what I remember purchasing. Pulled the site up and nope, it was the same matte checkered patterner that I thought I had purchased. I reached out to customer service, thinking that a company that sells $160-200 flats, would have decent customer service to offer to exchange, return, etc. as the photos didn't represent the shoe at all. Because of how sparkly it was, it'd only work at a holiday party. Called customer service to explain the situation along with photos and was told, "we do not stand behind our photos and to read the product description". I then asked how they can't stand behind the images that are representing their products; the rep just repeated that the images are not representations of the product, but the description is. BTW - the description says, "...so you can add a little sparkle to every day" which would not have led me to believe they were as sparkly as a New Year's Eve dress.I'm honestly shocked they would say they don't stand by the images that are supposed to represent the product they are selling and continue to say all products are sold based on their description. Not sure about you, but I've never purchased an online item based on the description.

06/15/2022 ORDER: *** I finally saved enough money to order the carry all bag when they go on sale thinking this will be the perfect bag to stash my jacket to work . They are normally at $395. It was marked down to $215. However upon receiving it I tried it on and the bag was awfully heavy, i weighted the bag and it was 4.5 lbs! When reading the description the bag was supposed to be a light weight bag that weights 2.8 lbs at most. I know that difference doesn't seem much for most people but at my age carrying a 4.5 empty bag itself is already heavy for me, my shoulder will not able to support it with anything in it. I emailed Rothy's customers service hoping for them to let me exchange it to a smaller bag called the bucket bag so the weight will be less. A day later a representative emailed me back saying it's a final sale and they can't do anything about it. At that price the least they could do is try to stand behind their products and rectify their inaccurate weight measurement of how heavy the bag really is. I emailed again two days later asking for a follow up or at least a return label so I can send it back so they can recycle it to another useful thing. No reply. They chose to ignore my complaint. I'm still hoping to get it exchange to a smaller bag so I can actually use it instead of just letting it sitting there wasting away. This would be false advertising in my opinion. I'm hoping they will modify the weight appropriately on their listing also or it is possible the bag I received is defective. Either way I like Rothy to stand behind their product and fix their mistake.

A week after my 2-3 day shipment should have arrived and several calls/ messages trying to find my $330 purchase, I spoke with 4 representatives, 3 who did not help me in any manner. The final representative I spoke with was the first helpful one out of the 3 others I spoke to and she actually decided to look into where my order was. Im very frustrated with Rothys management of my issue, that rather than customer service reps look into why there was an issue to why I never received my items, they blamed *** carrier for your businesss logistical malpractice and further wasted my time by having me file a grievance with *** (they never received it from your warehouse). All along it was the Rothys warehouse that misplaced my items and wasted hours of my time. I have years of experience in logistic management so I understand that Rothys is not displaying good business practice as i was very deceived while trying to track my items and your business has no problems shifting blame on *** rather than finding resolve while taking responsibility. My Anniversary several days ago now and this is a grievance to me as I will not even be able to give this to my fianc for weeks as she is traveling for work now. If the first customer representative would have actually looked into my issue then maybe I would have received a replacement a few days later and been able to gift these to her. This has been the worst purchase experience for me and I cannot say I will recommend your business or products to anyone. I suggest please try to resolve the issue and display some transparency with customers and communicate with issues in the warehouse, and please take responsibility rather than waste further time of your customers. The kicker in all of this Rothys decided to waive the shipping charge, which they couldnt even come close to fulfill. What a joke.

Company is advertising a share and each get $30 off. Wanted to try a pair. My sister who has bought 2 pairs in the past attempted to send me the link to 2 different emails and neither allowed me to use the link claiming I had to be a first time customer which I am. Exchanged texts with customer service for 1/2 an hour only to be told someone will get back to me with a resolution. Despite the resolution should have been to allow us to have our $30 off. The customer service is terrible and certainly not worth me spending 100+ on a pair of shoes when there are so many other options out there.
