They take money from your bank account and don't give paperwork or a way to contact them
They take money from your bank account and don't give paperwork or a way to contact them. I think they're a fraud company.
Great company!
Great company! Royal Neighbors has been a great company and I love the products they offer! I have had great customer service with them any time I have a question or payment inquiry. They always answer my questions and help me with any issues I have. The website is easy to navigate and find the information I need. I have been a customer for many years and I am very satisfied with their services. I highly recommend Royal Neighbors to anyone looking for insurance or financial products.
Royal Neighbors has been great ever since my sister and I bought 2 policies for our late aunt
Royal Neighbors has been great ever since my sister and I bought 2 policies for our late aunt. I haven't had any problems when I called with questions. They also handled the funeral home payments smoothly and my payments have been hassle-free. I will definitely recommend and continue using Royal Neighbors.
I want to cancel my policy but I can't reach a person to talk to
I want to cancel my policy but I can't reach a person to talk to. I received an email instructing me to call a number for assistance over the phone. I followed the instructions and left a message, stating that I would appreciate a return call. I have left three messages so far, but I have not received any response. I am frustrated and considering filing a complaint.
They're doin everything to avoid payin
They're doin everything to avoid payin. I ended up payin my mothers final expenses. They're actually tryin to pay her deceased ex husband daughter! Are you kiddin me? Just a nightmare. I hope these horrible people go through the same nightmare that they're puttin me through. Don't deal with them. My mom died April 11 as of today no payment.
I never heard of this place, but they've been takin' $63.43 from my bank account since **** this year
I never heard of this place, but they've been takin' $63.43 from my bank account since *** this year. I never signed up for it or gave 'em any info. How'd they get my info and bank account to take money out? I tried contactin' 'em, but all I get is messages sayin' the phone's disconnected. What now? Do I just lose the money they took? I'm on a fixed income and every dollar matters for payin' my bills. ?
My experience is similar to what others have shared
My experience is similar to what others have shared. My Mom passed away in January , and for the past 7 months, I keep receiving a letter saying they're still looking into things. What are they researching? My Mom is gone! They take forever and expect the beneficiary to prove everything, like it's some kind of game. Typical corporate behavior, they just don't want to hand over the money! It's funny how my Mom's other policies had no problems and the payment came quickly. Save yourself the trouble and choose a trustworthy company like AARP - they paid out the policy in just 30 days!
My mom died on September 10 from *** and Royal Neighbors of America has been giving me a hard time
My mom died on September 10 from *** and Royal Neighbors of America has been giving me a hard time. They waited until the end of September to send me the paperwork for the claim, and I filled it out and sent it back. But then they said they voided the release form because it didn't have a witness signature. So they sent another one, I got it signed, and mailed it back. I called them a couple of weeks later to check if the doctor signed off on it, and the doctor did on November 9. But now they're telling me they need to review it and it could take 3 to 8 weeks before they know anything. I will never do business with them again. I'm glad my mom had another insurance company.
This company, they rate with an A, should be rated as an F for failure to provide the payout claims to the families
This company, they rate with an A, should be rated as an F for failure to provide the payout claims to the families. They take your hard earned money but never pay out. They continue to send paperwork saying they are still investigating what? Cardiac Arrest is a Cardiac Arrest, what more information is needed? It's on the death certificate! They will continue to drag this out until the time exceeds so they won't have to pay the claims. My Mother had annuities and life insurance to the tune of almost a half a million and haven't seen a dime of it. Please be aware of them, they are very deceitful! This has put a lot of hardship on the family!
This company is sneaky
This company is sneaky. My mom had an annuity and she died on March 13. The funeral home filed a claim and this company said no. You can't say no to an annuity claim. After two phone calls, they finally decided to pay the funeral home. Then, a month later, I got a letter saying they didn't get the paperwork. That can't be true if they paid the funeral home. This company is stalling on giving my family the money and making up lies about not getting the paperwork. The funeral home is checking up on them today. My mom also had an insurance policy with them that they're arguing about, and they said it might take 3 to 6 months to figure it out. You should really think about going with another company instead of this one.
My mom died on September 12
My mom died on September 12. Since then, Royal Neighbors has been giving me and my brother a hard time and leaving us with a big bill to pay for our mom's services. Right from the start, we had a feeling that this company was a scam, and after reading all these similar reviews, it turns out we were right. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this company for insurance. I'm seriously considering getting my lawyer involved at this point. Their agent tricked my mom into canceling her long-held insurance policy to switch to theirs, and then she dies just a month later! Even now, we're still getting the runaround from these people... It's just really messed up and unfair.
My brother died on June 1
My brother died on June 1. I got a letter saying I was the beneficiary. They've been giving me a hard time about what I needed to get the money. It went on until June 27th, 2022 and they said the claim was denied. They made me go through a lot, asking for all kinds of paperwork like medical records and who was in charge of his stuff, which I sent three times. I'm so frustrated with this company and I think they're a scam. He died of natural causes, none of his illnesses had anything to do with it. I would tell everyone not to have anything to do with this company. I had a feeling from the beginning that this company wasn't legit because of all their demands. I don't know why they even bothered contacting me. Stay away from this company because they'll make you think everything's fine and then find ways not to pay you.
This company takes forever to pay out claims and keeps sending you a brochure every month asking for donations
This company takes forever to pay out claims and keeps sending you a brochure every month asking for donations. Every time I call, they tell me my claim is still being investigated. I've been waiting patiently for over 6 months now and had to pay for all funeral expenses myself because of the long wait. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and have told my family to find a different life insurance company. It's ridiculous to make you wait so long and constantly remind you of your loss every month when you have to call about your claim. They never call you with updates, only send a letter every other month saying your claim is still being investigated. Don't fall for their nonsense, go with a reputable company so you don't get ripped off.
This company is a complete joke!
This company is a complete joke! According to the law, they should pay within 30 days, unless the death happened within 2 years of the first payment, which they never mention when you apply. But here's the thing they don't tell you: if your spouse dies after 24 payments, they can deny your claim for almost anything and take up to a year before they help you! This is the case with every life insurance company! My wife passed away 3 months ago, and when I explained my terrible situation, they told me this crap! Now I'm homeless with no help or programs available to me. I'm disabled and only receive $1100 a month in disability benefits! I've lost my parents to COVID and my wife to malpractice, all in the same year! These jerks couldn't care less! Their excuse is that they use a third party for investigations... I've sold everything I can, and now I truly have nothing because they just can't honor what they promise! It's only $15,000, and I'll probably be dead before I see a penny! Thanks a lot, Royal [censored] of America!

I've been trying to get in touch with Royal Neighbors of America to cancel my policy, but I can't seem to reach them
I've been trying to get in touch with Royal Neighbors of America to cancel my policy, but I can't seem to reach them. Their telephone number doesn't work, and it's been weeks since I've been trying to talk to an agent. I've sent emails, faxes, made calls, and even wrote a letter, but I haven't received any response.
Same as the others here
Same as the others here... My dad had a policy on his brother and when his brother died, instead of paying my dad so he could pay for the funeral, they sent all this paperwork for my 77-year-old dad to fill out: 1. Authorization to Release Health Info 2. Beneficiary Questionnaire 3. Certified copies of the Letters of Office 4. Certified copy of the members death certificate with a cause of death listed 5. Please enclose a list of all doctors, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies with complete addresses that our insured was a patient of during the past 5 years 6. Statement of claimant. Now, how is a 77-year-old man supposed to track down every doctor his brother has seen in the past 5 years? So, then my dad died a few months after his brother died, so now I'm left holding the bag, and now I'm trying to figure out how am I supposed to get all this information about an uncle that lived and died in a different state? My dad told me before he died, that something was fishy about this insurance company because his brother talked him into signing up for it in the first place. The funeral home told me that since my dad had paid into the policy for almost 2 years, I/he (my dad) was supposed to get a refund. When I contacted the insurance company and told them I just want the money back that my dad put into it, the representative told me that I could still claim the policy since it was so close to 2 years (you have to have the policy on a person for 2 years before they and and you can collect). So RNoA sent me the exact same confusing paperwork they gave my dad. How am I supposed to get an Authorization to Release Confidential Health Information filled out? I just want my money that they owe. Finish the job. ALL THEY NEED IS A DEATH CERTIFICATE. Why do they need all this other garbage that I'll never be able to locate?
My mother, ***, has (had) a policy with Royal Neighbors
My mother, ***, has (had) a policy with Royal Neighbors. Towards the end of 2021 my mother underwent a surgery and experienced a lot of confusion and disorientation for about 4 weeks. She is better now. Royal Neighbors tried to take two payments from her account during this time and she was completely confused about the whole situation. She thought they caused her account to overdraft when they actually didn't. My mom and Royal Neighbors talked to me on a three-way call and I tried my best to explain the situation to my mom. They gave her the money back. Fast forward to January, I got a call around January 13th or 14th from Royal Neighbors saying my mother was behind on November and December payments (the two payments they gave her back). The representative said during that call that an automatic draft was scheduled for January 19th. I told her at that time to go ahead with the draft for January 19th and I would give my banking information to take over the payments from there, knowing that two more payments needed to be made. My mother DID NOT tell them not to take the draft. She actually called them to check if the draft had been made because the money was never taken from her account. Apparently, I found out that the representative wrote in the notes that I said I would take over, completely ignoring the fact that they were supposed to auto-draft a payment for *** After this, I called three times before the deadline and was told they don't take payments over the phone, that I had to sign up for automatic draft. It took three weeks for that to happen. My mother got her Federal Taxes and tried to pay the full balance over the phone and was told the exact same thing. My problem is there has been so much miscommunication between the representatives and it's completely unfair that they are now denying her coverage. If they had taken the payment as they were supposed to, none of this would have happened.
