For the last year we have continued to get calls from this collection company called RPM. They are attempting to collect on some MCI bill of about $250 for an Atlanta number/account, they have no information, will provide no information and can't tell me anything so that i could help them resolved their issue. I am in Dallas and not in Atlanta for over 10 years, have no outstanding MCI account(s), haven't had an MCI account for over 10 years and have no idea of where got any old company MCI information. I owe no money to MCI.
They threaten to take me to court, and i have told them to go ahead - i can't help them
I too have received calls from RPM Collections. This has happened before: the first time it was for a $60 bill on an MCI account that I did not have and this most recent time for a $44 bill on yet, the same MCI account. I believe what happened is I was slammed by Bellsouth with a long-distance service. I only had a local line, no long distance. Apparently, from the first experience with RPM and the rogue MCI account, it was revealed that the $60 bill was from a prison phone scam. I believe this second bill is also the same. However, I have never had an MCI account in my life. As for RPM Collections, they call repeatedly, day after day, and they get hostile and give vague information. They said they will send a letter to me with more information and that I need to send a letter of dispute. But frankly, this is ridiculous. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN MCI ACCOUNT. There has to be a better way to deal with RPM and their hostile calls.
RPN called me this morning about a Sprint collection. They had my first name, not sure what else. I told them I never had a Sprint account, not me. They hung up abrubtly. Something fishy going on here with this company. NY Attorney General should investigate them in my opinion.
Rpm is a unprofessional rude company who does not know how to talk to a customer if they owe a debt to someone else. Take note: Please train your reps to be a little bit more courteous in the process of collecting a debt, this might help 100% in resolving a matter of issue!
RPM calls me more than once a day, and they've repeated told me that I owe on a Continental Credit Card I've never owned. The next time it's on another account that I never owned. They call several times a day, they tell me they are RPM but won't tell me who RPM is and how they got my information, they don't have my social security #, they don't have emy current address...who is this company? they need to be investigated.
