To anyone out there who is considering attending Sanford Brown College or Utrasound Technology Institute, please run the other way. This school is not a legitimate school and are rip offs with UBS accounts. They cannot offer legal courses that allow you to get licensed when you graduate. The contract is not a college admissions contract, but more like a car contract where you owe are certain amount for the program regardless. Real colleges let you leave whenever you choose to, and you are only responsible for the cost of the classes you take each semester. Sanford Brown and UTI encourage you to take out student loans and and bank loans to complete a DIPLOMA course! The average cost of a diploma course is roughly $3, 000, not $17, 000. They also tell you that you have to take the diploma before taking the associates degree program which is a lie. These are both stand alone programs. It's just a way to get more money out of the student. They also prey on the young and naive who are new to college programs. If you get financial aid, it normally covers the cost of classes and you have some left over for books and necessities. You should never have to take out a loan to complete a diploma course. I cancelled my registration within the 3 days that they allow you to change your mind. Notice that you are allowed 3 days to cancel their contract, but when it comes to a legitimate college you usually can cancel before the first day of classes and owe nothing and even after classes start, you only lose a small percentage every week until you completely withdraw. They also write bad checks that can't be located in the banking system because the are in UBS accounts which is a way of hiding money and evading taxes. They are also being sued by many. The complaint are in every state where they have set up shop. I am still waiting for my $35.00 fee to be returned. Nydia Rodriguez, Bill Harris, David Kagan, Dave Baumgartener and all the rest that work for a company that you know are crooked to the core, your Karma will get you because what goes around comes around.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Sanford-Brown College is not accredited for ANYTHING they offer.
The credits cannot be tranfered, they hire hacks for teachers, and are nothing but crooks.
Thats how LTI is too! Lincoln Technical Institute is a rip off
I was lied to when I started Sanford Brown College-Fenton MO. I was informed a few times that the majority, if not all, of my credits would transfer easily to any college or university. So here I am at University of Michigan and not one stinking credit transfered. I am starting all over, as a freshman, with an assosiciates degree in radiography and a student loan that is still $20, 000. I paid $32, 000 to attend Sanford Brown College, graduating in 2004. SBC should feel ashamed on how they dupe people out of their money. Sickening. Hope the government gets involved.
Am there now and to mean I have trouble get the tutor they promise I would. Most of the black teacher their think of to much of them self. And they do call their self helping they on the dam phone. But must school do cost but you get better education at this school you get two classes every five week not really give you enough time to really learn. But most of the student had all ready been to another school and got put out or they work in the field. The school is not all it crack to be and it is fast but that why we should get the help we need, but black and white walk like the all of that but that is not true. There a couple of teacher do help and hate to said but they are white. The very best teacher is Dr. Reese, and Ms. Robe they know their stuff. But Dr. Reese is the best of all. And I am black and having a real hard time.
I went to Sanford Brown College in St. Louis and apparently I did my homework a little better than the rest of you. I started in July of 1995 and completed the associate in nursing March 1996. I was able to sit for and take boards and have had absolutely NO difficulty getting licensed in any state that I wanted. I KNEW the credits didn't transfer to mainstream colleges, but at that time, I was not concerned with that. I am now enrolled in a FULL ACCREDITED BSN completion program without having to repeat any courses. I didn't have to challenge any courses. Next time you decide to go to college, CHECK FIRST. I called the Boards of Nursing prior to even interviewing for the school...
