Unauthorized credit card charge
To Whom It May Concern:
I'm complaining in regards to unauthorized credit card charge. I canceled my Scribd subscription when I was notified 8 days ago (06/01/22) that I will be charged after my free trial, yet yesterday (06/08/22)somehow I'm notified that I'm charged, and it was even $10.79! I clearly remember clicking on "Cancel subscription" and after that in app appeared a message that I still have 7 days of my free trial left. Today when I saw receipt I canceled it again and just now unsubscription is confirmed to me by mail. I didn't get this confirmation last time, but I didn't know that I'm supposed to, I canceled it at app so I thought I won't be charged! This made me feel deceived and frustrated. Mail which I was registered with is [protected]@gmail.com and my username was jelena6arnautovi6, order number [protected].
Desired outcome: Given that charge is waiting, I appeal to you to resolve this issue before money is finally removed from my account or to refund it.

I cannot access to my account for the cancellation of the purchase. The screen stay the same after I put in my details to the system as requested. I have been trying to reset the password but no email from the Scribd have been received for resetting so far.
I have been paying money for the service I have not used since I opened it couple months ago. I sought help and your staff replied me in the email that they cannot locate my account associated with my email. It's ridiculous that the Scribd took money again from my bank account yesterday.

They ask for an email address to submit a ticket and I don't have an account. They are scammers and I want my money back immediately!

Subscription - Unauthorized Charged to Bank Account for multiple years with no active subscription
Our bank account has been charged for a Scribd subscription for over 2 years now. We have reached out and because we never created the account and could not provide an email for the account linked to our bank information, we were not helped. This is 2 full years of charges at $10.66 per month until this month, when it increased to $12.80. I expect to hear from somebody at the soonest possible opportunity to resolve this issue or provide next steps.

Unathorized credit card charges
Scribd has substracted subscription charges for 2 email adresses from the same credit card without me releasing i m paying 2 times the subscription for more than a year.
Now when I try to apply for refund they keep sending me to verify email and I dont get to apply a refund because they dont let me pass the verification email, but they let me update payment infor if I want, so they are restricting my right for asking a refund.
Desired outcome: i would like refund for the second subscription that was mistakenly created from my Facebook profile in november 2020.

SCRIBD - Complaint
I put my card on file with Scribd in March of 2020 for a one-month trial and canceled my subscription. When I renewed my card in July of 2021, Scribd started charging me for a subscription and I did not notice until February. I checked my account, and it claims I have no subscription and no card on file, but I am still being charged monthly. I tried getting this fixed through support, but nothing has changed and it has been nearly three months. I have lost nearly $100 from this and don't know how to fix it.

My Scribd account was hacked and I ended up paying over $200 for subscriptions that I never used. Scribd's response was not to refuse to give any refund because I contacted Paypal about the matter. The matter was escalated at my request and after exchanging over 15 emails Scribd could not give me an explanation as to why my account payment history still shows payments that went back to 2013. They claimed that my account had been terminated when the hacker hacked my account in 2020 and that I had created a new account after this date. The person who I was dealing with said that she would like to give me a refund but that she cant because there was a Paypal fraud claim on the accouns I rang Paypal when I discovered that I had been hacked. I defy anyone not to have done the same thing. So this is Scrib's way out of abnegating itself of any responsibility. The person who hacked my account took out a subscription with my money until the middle of next year (2023) but I get no refund nor can I use this subscription: outrageous.

I discovered 5 days ago that my Scribd account had been hacked when I received a PayPal invoice for a yearly subscription to Scribd which I had not authorized. I also noticed to my horror that this yearly subscription had been occurring for 3 years. When I viewed my Scribd account the subscription was not showing. I sent screenshots of this to Scribd. I sent an email to Scribd outlining all of this and they replied that I would need to send a screenshot of my account and the Paypal invoice to prove my identity. I did this. They said they would suspend the account until things had been rectified. They also said that when the situation had been resolved I would be able to use my activated Scribd account but I have no need for this-I didn't activate the subscription. This is where the whole episode starts to get Kafkaesque. When I checked to see that they had in fact suspended the account I signed in via Facebook as I normally do the account I saw there was the account of the person who hacked my account. Their email was listed there below which was my my email! Have been waiting 3 days for a response from Scribd after I alerted them to all of this.
An update: Scribd has now informed me that it doesn't matter if there is a dispute with Paypal or not, that they will not refund me the money. This is for a false account that was created by a hacker who took out a yearly subscription until the middle of next year that was charged to my PayPal account. I have closed the subscription ( I don't want it) but they will not refund the money. This is outrageous!
Scribd were 7 days late in replying saying this was due to a 2 day weekend. They refused to refund the money I paid for a subscription that was obtained by someone who hacked my account (around $70 Aust ) because they claimed there was a dispute with Paypal. There was no dispute with Paypal as Paypal had told me they are not refunding the money and that I should get Scibd to refund the money. Classic buck-passing. Never again!

No longer unlimited
I have been a loyal customer with this company for 8 years. Last year I discovered I can get a slightly cheaper rate by paying for a year. I paid again in November 2022. After that the limitations have begun. What is really strange is for the past 4 months I have signed up for Audible Plus as well and haven't used Scribd much during that time. I am finding that merely saving a title is likely to result in my access to that title being put off until the following month. I didn't download any of these titles, but do intend to listen or read them as my introductory rate with Audible is nearly finished. I have written several times directly to Scribd and they simply blame their algorithm. It is amazing that a company, which has provided me with many years of excellent service, which I have paid about 600 dollars for during that time would brush my concerns aside. I can tell you now that Audible Plus has 15000 titles that are truly UNLIMITED. It is said Scribd has 50000 titles, but they are definitely no longer UNLIMITED.

I have not subscribed for SCRIBD but for past 3 months (Dec, Jan & Feb) i am being charged USD 9.44 on 20th of every month. Amount is charged through my credit card and when i spoke to card issuing bank, they advised to approach the Scribd to apply for the refund of the payment. Sending attached details of all 3 transactions.

I got a notification this morning from my bank account saying I got charged 10.78 from scribd, saying this is a recurring charge. I have no accounts registered to scribd and have tried every single emails and passwords i have/google login/facebook login, nothing. but i have recurring charges dating back all the way to october of last year! this is 5 charges being made to my account without my permission. over 50 dollars worth!
